Bruce: Hn. (disgruntled appreciation)

Damian: Absurd. I am simply planning you all to combat likely scenarios. For tactical reasons.

Steph: He loves us :)

Jason: Debatable.

Barbara: Not that debatable when you see the Gotham City Police Department’s record on his license. 

Dick:  D:

Barbara: I’ll take that to heart Damian thank you for the concern.

Duke: Who taught Damian what girlbossing is?

Steph: Damian flawless use of that vocabulary.

Damian: Thank you.

Duke: Why did I ask when we all knew the answer.

Jason: WHERE DID YOU EVEN GET MY MUGSHOT

Duke: Did you dye your hair?

Steph: He’s a natural ginger but he’s just emo about it or something

Dick: Damian is the implication that you’re going to murder Tim for.. being annoying?

Damian: Interpret as you wish.

Steph: Wow. Fair, but wow.

Damian: The consequences of one of the aforementioned idiotic decisions.

was thinking bout xero, and what his failed attempt would mean for these two, which is mostly distress as i expected! have this mini messy comic i made during my wondering.

my hornet- in her younger years feared death a lot so she'd be quiTE wORRiEd and my pk has experienced a similar dread, so who else better to both worry with her and snap her out of it! (and continuing worrying, ignoring his own advice.)

So, Danny might be a hint confused and perhaps slightly suspicious about this situation. Look, he didn’t exactly remember how he got in this situation, but from what he hears of the other person-turned-oversized-lizard’s panicked whispers they don’t understand how this happened either. Something something ghost probably. 

Someone had better not have made some sort of wish back home. He didn’t want to deal with Desiree’s shenanigans, even if being a dragon or whatever was pretty freaking cool…

alright so Crassus is a weird guy, existentially. There’s a tendency to speculate, assign, and insert him into whatever places are conspiratorial and shadowy because he fits into those narrative places with ease. My personal favorite (aside from all of it) is the idea that he may have pulled strings wrt to Sulla and Caesar’s conflict to help get Caesar out of it.

In the universe that exists in my head, he definitely had a hand in it, but he didn’t really intend for Caesar to figure out he played a part in it, but Caesar’s good at puzzles, and noticing someone goes both ways. Binding someone to yourself goes both ways.

Crassus: The First Tycoon, Peter Stothard

This scene takes place sometime relatively soon after Sulla’s death. Crassus has complicated feelings about it, Caesar less so. Veni, vidi, vici, baby!

Dragon blood au!

In a universe where the Lazarus Pit is made of dragon blood (which is a species that disappeared years ago), people coming into contact with it develop physical traits identical to the animal and their emotions are increased tenfold.

Jason Todd thought he had escaped this effect because he only entered it once, but two months after his resurrection he woke up with a toothache so bad he couldn't even speak. He quickly realized that he was bleeding from his gums and when he looked in a mirror he realized that his teeth (especially his canines) had become longer and much sharper! Since then the effects of the Lazarus Pit have manifested themselves more and more, horns had grown on his head, his nails had transformed into claws, some scales had appeared on his skin (very little so he can hide them), and a tail had formed at the end of its spine.

Fortunately for Jason these effects can be hidden (not erased according to Talia) with emotional control. Learning to calm his temper was more complicated than Jason expected, which allowed him to plan his comeback so well. When Jason finally agreed to return to the Batfam he kept his new appearance a secret for a long time. Dick, Alfred and Bruce were also surprised to see him so calm since he couldn't get angry without revealing his secret.

He managed to keep his human appearance until one winter at the manor when Jason's body could no longer stand the cold and decided on its own to make him regain his dragonish appearance to keep him warm. Only Damian didn't react to that while the others looked at Jason speechless since he had grown up with Jason in the league for several years and he too had a dragonish appearance having also been placed in the Pit but also never told anyone because : "it wasn't important."

I concede that Lazarus Pit Mad Jason™ doesn't canonically exist.

(Lazarus Pit Madness does exist, just more so in the DCU than in the comics)

I 100% stand by the idea that Jason's actions can be explained by Pit Madness. HOWEVER, they should not excuse them. If someone wants to write in their fanfic that the Pit Madness was why Jason did some horrible shit (like attacking Tim), sure. Why not? That still doesn't excuse what his did, the consequences of his actions, or the long-lasting effects of them. He would still need to work for forgiveness, and the relationship he built with anyone he attacked would be a long road.

Jason is not at fault for all of his actions, but it's more telling to examine that from a cPTSD perspective. Being killed and coming back to everything being the exact same (when your dad is a "hero" that just replaced you) is extremely traumatizing. Pit Madness can exacerbate his emotions, but they shouldn't be the end all be all.

Also, I love the fics that show Pit effects in strange ways.

The Pit forces Jason to start taking care of his siblings cause it adopted them? Hilarious.

The Pit is like a Venom situation where it talks to Jason 24/7? Yum.

The Pit doesn't cause madness, but the price of its power is blood? Oof. Yes.

Imagine an au where DC and the crow combine and the way Jason comes back to life is through the crow to get revenge on the joker for killing him and his dreams but after he finishes killing the joker he somehow still gets revived permanently via the Lazarus pit

I've said it before but Pit madness as a device that takes away all of Jason's agency and motivations that's not for me but Pit madness that's trying to keep Jason safe, happy and healthy while physically appearing as a green ghost of Jason that jumps between the different versions of him thats something I think could be interesting
