What if the change from menacing to whimsical (for reactions to playerheads) is how they're displayed. Like if someone had multiple of the same doll and put it up on their walls I'd be afraid but if they were selling the dolls and each one had a cute custom outfit that wouldn't be scary. If you stack dolls in an imitation tower of Babel like Iskall and Etho did with mob heads, that's terrifying. If you had a display cabinet for the dolls that you sell that's normal. Don't know if that makes sense but that's how I see it ig.

HM i mean thats a point, i know putting a head on a fence post instantly adds +10 intimidation factor since building a salmon graveyard. but its still very funny that youve got bdubs selling shulkers full of his own head and thats just accepted as normal.

UE5 Animation Editor

I've been getting accustomed with the animation editor, creating an animated widget, here's the process i went through:

I created a new animation for the text object dragged into the widget panel

Then, I moved the text to it's first position, creating a keyframe on the Y position which is done by clicking the button on the far right (diamond shaped with +)

I then moved the timeline to 3 seconds, as that's the length of animation i wished for and created another keyframe in the exact same position

Then, I moved the timeline playerhead halfway inbetween the two keyframes and created another keyframe modifying the the Y vector.

And now, as seen by the animation curve we have a smooth motion that if looped creates a floating like effect for the text box.

BONUS: Tip for scaling the text and not the textbox, USE SCALING!

Similar to what I said in this post, we'll try to keep the server/gamemode mechanics as close to the original series as possible, which means, yes, the crafting recipe for TNT will be modified to reflect the one in Last Life SMP.

Someone had mentioned earlier adding Vanilla Tweaks (customizable resource packs/datapacks that can add features like dropped playerheads) earlier, and I thought that was a lovely idea! I think it will depend on what participants want and deicide on as a group.

I added 87 new mob masks to Vanilla Minecraft!

Just finished this next addition to my VOAT (Variations on a Theme) series, where I take a theme I like of something already in the game, and expand it massively. This time, I've offered an alternative to Heads; while less decorative, these masks have proper 3D models, 2 of which have animated textures, and have quite a bit of an interesting flare because of that compared to the uniform & inanimate playerhead item.

This pack adds in a mask for every mob in the game, save for ones where I felt like it’d be weird to have them (villagers, illagers, etc). 

Again, this is Vanilla. It requires a datapack and a resourcepack, found on the forum post, but it is considered vanilla. Here is a post on why that is.

Oh! Well glad you asked!!

As of now, we have:

-BetterSleeping: to modify the way sleeping works (aka, only one person needs to sleep)

-PlayerHeads: to modify percentage of mob head drops, as well as allow players to drop heads!

-DoubleShulkerShells: self explanatory.

-SimpleTpa: easy commands to teleport a player to another

-SetHomes: commands to allow you to mark a place as your home, and teleport back to it with ease

I have tried to keep it vanilla as possible, but seeing as some of us don't want to walk long distances to each other (and I don't....I don't know how portals work. I swear I'm working on a nether hub) that's why we have tp commands!

Does your minesona got some special abilities?

They can swap the head out for any mob head, including playerheads, and gain some traits from that mob. The more dangerous the mob, the less useful the head is. For example a ghast head would allow them to fly and shoot fireballs but cut their health by half, meanwhile a squid head would just dye stuff in their inventory black with no penalty. Enderdragon heads are completely useless bc they just destroy everything and sink to bedrock. Playerheads are depending on the player

The only game changing plugins currently are Factions, mcMMO, and CombatLog. With CombatLog you are tagged for combat upon hitting or getting hit by another player. If you are tagged for combat and you log out you will instantly die.

This is a very simple server and is driven by the community. If enough players feel a certain feature should be enacted then that is what happens. I believe this is the best way for server growth. They should make it so all items are able to simply have an “EnchantGlow” or “NoEnchantGlow” meta-tag associated with them so that they can appear to have an enchantment glow around them or not. So you could have custom armor that is powerful via using the enchanting system that doesn’t glow without using a weird complex plugin system, or use playerheads for custom helmets that glow. On that note there should be meta-tags to hide the base or hair layers of playerheads, so you can have a playerhead helmet that has transparent/semitransparent parts.

EmpireCraft SMP Community [Semi-Vanilla]{Whitelist}{1.13.2}

Hi guys! EmpireCraft is looking for some people to join us. We are a 1.13.2 semi-vanilla server extremely similar to something like HermitCraft. We started back in October of 2018. There are around 5-6 active players, and around 20-30 that play occasionally.

# How did you begin & who are you?

Why "Your Mother Is A Sideways Elephant" (YMIASE; https://sidewayselephant.enjin.com) you might ask? It started as a running joke between friends – for reasons unrelated to Minecraft – in 2009. When the server started, it was an obvious choice for name that has stuck ever since! It’s brought us a lot of fame over the years.

We are a simple server about collective building and having a good time without all the expensive bells and whistles some other servers have. We started in Summer of 2009 as a Minecraft Classic server with the same name long before Minecraft Alpha existed. Over time, we became McForge's Official Server and collected a few other servers along the way who needed a home for their members, and liked our community. In 2011, we unfortunately had to close our doors due to priorities of the admin but have continued to exist in small groups across Minecraft.

In 2017, we are back and here to stay with a dedicated 24/7 server. We are a free-to-play survival server on on Minecraft's most up-to-date version. The server is paid for by donations and server purchases. Funds in no way pay any admin, but are used solely to keep the server alive and running, and to save for future upgrades as we inevitably grow and bring back many of our past members and new. There is also plans, as a server who is based around Elephants, to donate to the International Elephant Foundation annually. We happily take suggestions of what the funds should go to as well!

# What qualities make your server unique; what plugins do you use?

We are big fans of good, clean fun and always have been. Occasional pranks are fun too. We enjoy community too. Upon whitelist approval, you can join our Discord server whether you plan to play or not - all are welcome here. Some of us have been here only a short time, and some of us have been here a long time - those older ones from the old old server having the tag *[Ancient]*.

The spawn is set up like a series of interconnected towns in the middle of a large forest. There is a temple to the “Elephant Mother” where you begin your journey, and as you move outwards, you can discover the towns as well as the shops within each town. To travel outwards out of the spawn area, there of course is the wonderful sport of walking, but there is also ability to fly or take a train. Once you have moved out 400 blocks from spawn, your adventure begins with the supplies you earn.

As you play, you will have to fight away from mobs as the server is set on Normal difficulty. There are many perks from Essentials such as /sethome and other commands to help you on your journey. As you survive though, you can earn server currency using the TimeIsMoney plugin or you can sell/buy items back at spawn. There are perks and items too that you can buy with server points to help you or make your experience more enjoyable or interesting. Everything must be bought with points which you can buy through the Enjin service we use. The game is perfectly playable without them though. In terms of other plugins, we have CoreProtect for protection of builds, ItemFrameShop for items players can buy and sell in-game with our server currency. Essentials is used for economy and other fun commands. Playerheads gives you opportunity to collect heads of others. There are others and we are happy to answer more questions.

# What are your future plans for the server?

This server is truly just beginning – even though we have been around some time. Our community was well over 500 large back in the days of Minecraft Classic and we cannot wait to reach those numbers again. Currently, plans are in the works to start adding minigames.

We also have plans to annually celebrate World Elephant Day August 12th, and to donate to the International Elephant Fund to support Elephant protection.
