"I'm sorry for whatever Alex caused during your birthday party. I wanted the party to be nice and surrounded by your close friend's and family. I'm regretful I chose to bring Alex as a tag along. She wanted to go and I can't say no anyways."

"What's your point, Charles? I'm tired of this drama. I am." You said,

"Yn, we've been friends since so young, we spent almost every day with eachother, basically inseparable. Maman practically consideres you her the daughter she never had and you're really close to my family and brothers. Even with my exes you had a close bond with them."

"Mhm, that's right I loved your exes." You said slightly smiling,

"Ever since I dated Alex, she.... she liked fame and attention. Even if she didn't show it much. And when she saw us being close and basically just friends, she got mad and jealous. I didn't realise much until you told me when she confronted you."

"She reads a lot of the news, tweets and those tiktok edits of us that is all over social media. She is influenced by them. And I honestly don't get how they consider our bond romantic but not platonic."

"Alex has been fighting a lot with me past few months. We are not close, anymore. Not liked we used to be. She's constantly screaming and I can't stand her anymore."

"Mon ange, whatever happens with you and her, please... just tell me. I saw the texts she sent you and it wasn't pleasant. Why have you been keeping this a secret. Please ange, don't do it anymore."

It's undeniable that you've always liked Charles. He was handsome, he was everything a women could've dreamt of. And obviously you're one of them. You'd never had the chance to confess and you think you'd never will. It's better to blossom a good, sustainable friendship rather than risking it all for a relationship. Your a simple person, you're critical and realistic.

When Alex confronted you about your relationship with Charles, it hit you till the pit of your heart. You begun thinking if you were too clingy or romantic with Charles. You begun distancing yourself from him thinking you were at fault. You did not want to be a homewrecker,ever.

Although Charles confrontation settled a little of your thoughts, you cannot deny the growing feelings for Charles in that heart of yours.

RBR’s sporting director Jonathan Wheatley leaves Red Bull to become a new team principal of Audi after his gardening leave to partner Binotto who was appointed a few days ago

Andrea Stella extended his McLaren contract

like previously mentioned, Frederic Vasseur said that Ferrari’s new technical structure will be announced after the summer break but we already found out Diego Tondi has been promoted to the head of aerodynamics and different journals speculate about others (namely Mike Elliot from Mercedes who should be free for 2025 after his gardening leave and could come with Lewis and Loic Serra, and Frank Sancez that used to be in Sauber and might work on the aerodynamic team under Tondi)

Prema won the F3 Championship

F1Planet believes that based on the link between Oliver Oakes and Nikita Mazepin’s family, he could join Alpine

did I also say that apparently there are negotiations behind the scenes for Onlyfans to replace BWT as their sponsor (they are a joke, but can these reports please stop????)

James Vowles spoke more about Carlos and how signing him was more like “dating” and how the whole factory cheered when he told them Carlos will join them, he also denied any clauses that has been speculated in the media and said that Carlos is in top 4 or maybe the second-best driver on the grid

Paul Aron mentioned that this is probably his only F2 season because he would need more funds for another one or an F1 team’s backing

The Inspiration behind the design for Francesco

For his body type I also made him muscular since Sally complemented him being open-wheeled which I assumed he's well built and considered a hunk for the ladies since Flo also had a crush on him.

The 2011 version since he's formula 1 I based his outfits on drivers

His appearance is when I searched for Italian men and I personally have not watched Raoul Bova but his appearance is what I imagined for Francesco since Sally said he's nice to look at, which means he's handsome.

His car is based on his model

Sadly I found out Pixar wiki seemed to update the model of his car to 2009 but regardless this is the first screenshot I had of his 2011 version.

For his helmet I couldn't find before the 2011 version and this is only available

I based his helmet here but sadly it was 2022 but it's still a product of Ferrari of Scuderia Ferarri from Italy and it seems to represent Italy's color

and his Monza Italy his hometown signature is based from his name's signature like McQueen

You guys. I might just be the happiest person alive right now. When I started getting into F1 a few months I decided for whatever reason (the reason being Charles Leclerc) to support Ferrari. I quickly learned that being a Ferrari fan came with lots of downs and very few highs, but today I learned that the highs can be so high that you want to die on the spot because there is no way life could get any better.

You can guess how I feel about Carlos winning today. In Monza I got a Chestappen podium, now I got a Carlando podium. What’s next? Strollonso? Sewis? (thinking about it, Seb’s going to be in Suzuka, maybe we’ll actually get Sewis content, not a podium tho)

Also I didn’t expect to see Eric Nam at F1. Never in my life would I have expected to watch Eric Nam shake Carlos Sainz’ hand. Like wtf?

And that last grill the grid episode killed me. As someone who is interested in geography I can say that some of their answeres were catastrophic. It was hard to watch at some points. (Like wtf do you mean you have to find Europe first?)

So here are my favorite drivers four months and a week into liking f1. This time I decided to do a top five because my top three haven’t changed in ages:

1. Alex Albon

I love him, his voice, his face, his goofy laugh, his personality, (his girlfriend ahem), his driving, his everything. Please marry me. The marketing short film with the Albon pets, I mean come on. Alex and cats is everything I need in my life. And the other drivers with his shoes, that’s so cute.

The weekend was not optimal for Williams, but tbh I didn’t really pay much attention to them because I was a little distracted by Ferrari and Red Bull.

2. Sergio Perez

Okay hear me out. I love Checo and I feel bad for what I’m about to say but I was so happy that Red Bull had a bad weekend. I like Max and I love Checo but it felt so good to see someone else win for a change. Although I would’ve loved to see Checo in front, because I always do.

3. Charles Leclerc

My little Ferrari heart was so happy this weekend. And I think that Charles should have pitted for mediums in the end there and maybe we would’ve gotten both Ferraris on the podium. Charles did some incredible defending and keeping the Mercs behind him to help Carlos. Afterwards he seemed a little bummed out, but happy enough for the team and Carlos.

Also he’s just the cutest on grill the grid, always looks so confused. And his laugh, I can’t with him.

4. Lewis Hamilton

This is probably no surprise to anyone, because I keep debating if I should put him or Charles on third and Charles always wins. Lewis is great and he deserves the podium. Although I do think that George should have gotten it.

Also I just found out that he has an Extreme X team. With Christina Gutierrez. How cool is that please? (Not as cool as Carlos Sr. with Laia Sanz my love my one and only, but still)

5. Carlos Sainz

So this is where it gets intresting, because I had Lando and Lance on my list for fifth as well, but lately I have become somewhat obsessed with Carlos. I’ve always liked him, but now I love him. He has become one of my favorite drivers (otherwise he wouldn’t be fifth lol). He is funny, smart, seems like a very nice guy and doesn’t take himself too seriously and I love that. I guess you can imagine how I went feral several times this weekend. The fact that he kept Lando close enough so he’d be in his DRS zone. I mean sure it was strategy, but still. I like to believe that he did it solely to help his Lando.

Honerable mentions:

Lando. Of course, what a great race and I can’t with all of this Carlando content. They deserve the world. But damn just let Lando stay home when you do geography with grill the grid. It hurts us all, not only him.

Lance. I really don’t know what it is about him. He took my heart. Every time I see him, I just want to squeeze him. I was super happy about all the Lance content we got from grill the grid, but then quail happened. I just hope he is okay and recovers quickly. That crash was insane, but luckily security got better over time.

Fernando. First it was all fun and games with Strollonso and all, but I’ve somehow started to actually get attached. He makes me happy, or in this case sad, because the race sucked for him. Not a good weekend for AM. Also Fernando with Alex' shoes. Loved it.

Max. I feel bad for him. I am happy that the Red Bull reign is over (for now) but he deserves a good car, because he’s just such a good driver. Also he really impressed me in grill the grid.

George. I shouldn’t be mad at him for being good, but I am. But at the same time I’m happy for him. He’s a great driver and damn what a race today, he really should have stood on that podium. But he ruined a Ferrari front row by being good so I am allowed to be mad.

Esteban. First of all, happy birthday my man. The race sucked again, but at least this time there was some coverage of him and we didn’t have to assume that he got abducted by aliens. And again, I love his accent way too much.

Liam. I had the time of my life watching his quail. I might have celebrated a little too much when he kicked Max out, but oh well. And he got his first points, which is great for him. I hope he gets a permanent seat soon.

Daniel. I had to include him just so I can mention Taylor Swift. My man singing Our Song was the best thing ever.

LANDO NORRIS WINS HIS 2ND FORMULA 1 RACE🧡🧡

And he gets fastest lap right as he crosses the line!!

So happy for him<3 despite a start that wasn't super good, he finally managed to convert a pole into a win and he really deserves it🏆

The leclerc/piastri fight was great to watch, oscar did his best to get on the podium but charles defended so well and i think that'll help him for the 2nd half of the season - like getting more confident etc, esp w monza being next week (please ferrari don't fuck this up)

Nice work from checo who, after a better quali compared to past races, finished ahead of the 2 merc - i wasn't expecting that at all🧍🏻‍♀️

Congrats to pierre for getting into points, he did a v good job throughout the whole race and p9 shows his effort :)

Overall a great gp to watch after summer break, and i can't wait for monza next week (i am however not excited for future breaks bc this one was already hard to survive)

Mads' Race Recap!

Right, so, I'll do this in teams (in standings order) so that I'm not just waffling until the world caves in.

Red Bull - Not much to say really, if I'm honest. Simply lovely from Max, Checo did what was expected, so good job there. Good race from them, and getting to see a smiling Max at the end of the day is always nice.

Ferrari - Well well well Mr Carlos Sainz what was that you cheeky thing! DOTD truly deserved there by our one and only smoothest of operators, and (my Charles heart hurts to say this) that overtake on Charles was really lovely... so was the one on George. I reckon he could've gotten to Checo for the P2 if there was more time, but hey. I was getting Monza flashbacks during the Charlos battle, since I was absolutely terrified they were going to kill each other off. And Charles must be the single unluckiest man on this goddamn planet. I know he's partial to a lock up every now and then, but that car was trying to kill him. How does he always have some sort of problem? And why do they always reply with 'We are checking'?! Infuriating. How can he go from having a perfectly good car less than 24 hours ago, to suddenly having brake problems during the first race of the bloody season!?Very nice with fighting George though, that was lovely. This man's quali pace is absolutely mental, as well. A 1.29.165 compared to Max's 1.29.190 might not sound like a lot, but pushing that Ferrari past the rocket ships fastest quali laps is mental. It's so impressive. Hoping for some more poles we can turn into wins. Overall, very impressed with the Scuderia today, if they keep it up and Checo crashes and burns like he did last season, we might have some fights for some more podiums... and hopefully another win. Oh yeah and fastest pit stop. Good job guys.

Mercedes - Can someone please tell me what was going on there? George started off really nicely, but then the pace just dropped and dropped and dropped and Charles overtook him pretty easily, even with brake problems, although George did lock up. And then he dropped back off Charles even more once he was in front. Lewis had battery problems, but then there weren't any problems, he had just used it too much, but then he did have problems so I don't have a scooby doo about what that was about. And his seat broke... I kinda laughed at that, I can't lie. Pretty average performance from both, expected more from Lewis, especially since he was predicted pole-sitter.

McLaren - They were definitely the team I heard the least of this race. I think the overtakes on Fernando were very nice, but I don't really have much to comment on because I never really saw much from Lando or Oscar. They were kinda just... there. They aren't quite where they were at the end of last season, but I think they can come back to fighting for the top spots pretty quickly.

Aston Martin - Fernando just let people go past him, and I understand it since he didn't want to push and get his engine to overheat. But, I don't really think Fernando Alonso is a 9th place driver, if I'm being totally honest. The Aston is either really good, or below where it should be, and it can change on a whim. It's a very strange car. I do feel bad for Lance though. That collision with Nico at the start wasn't his fault, but I think the lack of pace would have hindered him anyway. I don't really think that it mattered that he finished behind Fernando, since I think Lance had less pace overall from the Nico incident, even if it wasn't by much. But I would like to know why he had such a nice lap at the start of Q2, then by the end it was elimination worthy times. Like I said, the Aston changes on a whim.

Kick Sauber - Right, I'll start off with Valtteri. What the hell was that pitstop can someone please help that poor man and the wheel nuts! That was a travesty. I guess he just likes his really long pistops, but it also definitely screwed up his race. Ending up 40 seconds behind the rest of the pack is far from ideal, but it wasn't as bad as someone's technical issue (see Williams section for more detail ☠). Honestly, I think Valtteri is just pulling a Kimi. Drive until you want to, if you do shit it's OK, if you do well, great job. Not complaining though. Now, Guanyu Zhou, that was a very lovely drive. The car isn't where the top teams are, and they make up the top 10 anyway, so P11 is a very good, and he had a very nice race over all.

Haas - Kevin was just... Kevin, you know? He completed the backmarkers bench, and had a lovely time while doing it. Lucky not to get overtaken by Daniel at the end, but I really can't think of a time where Kevin has really stood out apart from the wonder of Brazil Qualis 2022. Oh, and the shaved legs. Now, onto the man himself, Nico Hulkenberg. There was no way he was doing any better than 10th in Q3, so props to him for even getting there to begin with. The collision with Lance was uncalled for, and then from there he kinda screwed himself over. He could've easily kept 10th, maybe 11th with Stroll in a faster car and stayed there, but no. He did a Nico thing. I don't even know how to explain what that is, but dying his hair blonde for the Barbie movie fits into that category.

VCARB/RB/REDBULLSHITTYEDITION - Here I was thinking that the RB would be a best of the rest car. Boy was I wrong. Again, I didn't really see much of Yuki or Daniel, apart from that horrendous shit show at the end. Yuki was fuming, Daniel didn't sound overly enamoured, and he didn't have time to overtake Kevin anyway, so it was pointless. Didn't do anything in regards to points, so that is helpful. I feel like RB will favour Daniel because he is the more experienced of the two, but whatever they did today was a bad call, in my opinion. It should have been earlier so that Daniel (and then maybe Yuki) could have overtaken Kevin. Yuki is very funny, yet scary when he's mad though.

Williams - Deary me that was not a good start to the season. The new steering wheels were a bad idea, and Logan's just decided it didn't want to play racing car today and sent the poor guy five years behind the rest of the pack. I can't really comment on his racing this week, since he wasn't really doing much racing... he just had to let the front runners past, which isn't his fault at all. Pulled some nice quali laps, in Q1, even if he was eliminated. On a good day, Alex Albon is a points scoring, very very good driver, even in a car that is definitely not supposed to get him there. Today was not that day. One minute he was there, the next he was P15. Poor guy, honestly. This week just wasn't his week.

Alpine - Right, don't yell at me, but this is funny as hell. Alpine being so shit is just so funny to me I don't know why. Nothing against Pierre and Estie Bestie, but it just sends me. Are they going to pull a McLaren? I don't think so, but they can give it a good go. I don't know why the car is so shit, but it just is and there is nothing anyone can do for next week, and the guys at the factory are probably scrambling to try and fix it. I do like the pink writing on their graphics, it's very nice. And at least they occupy 2 slots in the Q1 elimination zone so that my boys can probably get through, even if they do shit in qualis (please not another S-pain incident I beg).

I think next time I'll do a quali recap and a race recap, so that I don't have bits of each sprinkles throughout. And here is to the first of our 2024 season! 🍾🎇

Nico goes to Maranello ✨

Okay so here’s the post that nobody asked for. Last month, I went on my first solo trip to Italy for my 24th birthday. I went to Maranello for a day and was lucky enough to stay in the Ferrari hotel. Here’s my lil write up of my trip with pictures! I took some photos on 35mm for the first time too!

So I stayed in the Monza block, which was a slay. The hotel was rather empty but the room was nice. Other blocks included Suzuka and Le Mans!

There was a beautiful little fan shop right next to the museum. They had several murals but I just had to try my best to get a 35mm shot of the Gilles one 🤍

GETTING here was a literal nightmare. I walked for over an hour in the dark, across motorways and everything. My google maps made a route that tried to take me through the actual grounds of the factory and there was so many staff and engineers clocking out for the night looking at me in confusion dejfrhrf 😭 so I had to find a way around and im like 90% sure I somehow accidentally snuck onto Ferrari grounds??? because I was in a building site and I was close to their wind tunnel?? and that was definitely on the same route we drove on the bus tour inside the factory earlier so I dont know how my ass didnt get arrested. But I eventually made it! FERRARI IF YOU ARE READING, THIS IS A JOKE PLEASE DO NOT ARREST ME

the dinner itself was lovely and I wish I could of came at a less busier time so I could of gotten more pictures of all the memorabilia without disturbing people at their tables...The food itself was lovely and the staff were very kind. I was there just a day or so after Charles and Arthur and I swore I saw a car drive past me with lots of cameras in it for filming so...who knows.

The hotel were so cute for giving me earplugs, I couldn't resist not keeping the box. They also provided lube packets but I will not be commenting on that but it is hilarious that Ferrari lube is a real thing dkdefjrfbrg.

Stopped off at a cafe right next to the museum for pizza, all of the dishes were named after drivers fekfrjfrhg

Well that was... quite meh. Barely a hint of midfield spice, the main “racing” was all the out of place cars coming back up the order. And honestly, I’m already struggling to remember what I just watched 😭

Albon credits headwind for shock result in Dutch GP qualifying | 2023 Dutch Grand Prix

Alexander Albon revealed a convenient headwind was key to him claiming a shock second-row start for the Dutch Grand Prix. This, exactly, anyone who has watched Monza 2008, with the English comms, would remember Brundle saying how Seb is going to make the other F1 drivers look bad because he is smart, friendly, polite and smiles alot, got nicknamed the Smiling Assassin when he joined RB in 2009, and every single time people would talk about him, they'd mention how nice and respectful he would always be to everyone, from the people in the paddock to his own garage, and then the same media twisted his image when he first properly dominated in 2011, and then just got worse and worse in his time at Ferrari, the only difference being, atleast the tifosi loved him, for everyone else he was always the threat. When I see Merc n LH fans take the higher ground this year in the championship fight, I can only think of all the times they shit talked Seb, Kimi and Ferrari lol, like man went around discussing Ferrari's strategy while depending on team orders to move in front of his team mate, like have some iota of shame. And it's so fun watching RB not pull any punches and play Merc the way they played Ferrari while Ferrari kept quiet and did their thing.

One thing, the F1 page never promotes any of Seb's social messages, so they clearly won't do it even later on, but the media constantly keeps asking him the same questions over and over again, instead of about his races, even though they are all so spineless, they stick to only the environmental causes. Like even after he announced his contract extension, the first question was what will he do after 2022. They have been doing it for so long, so long it actually effing hurts, never gave him any credit for his talent, no ones career has gotten questioned the way his has been, even before last season, when literally everyone else has dropped stinkers of a season. I so wish AM do something, but the way they are working I don't see anything good to come out of it.

And the same people who love him, we're at his throat for Canada 2019 lol, the tractors of 2020&2021 have just made everything worse.

And as for success, Seb was definitely not losing a championship to his teammate, be it Nico or LH himself. 7 years of the most dominant cars, and someone is yet to break many if the individual season records, I don't consider Seb to let go of opportunities to set some more and maybe break his own, knowing his only competition is going to be his teammate. He is extremely temperamental, and that's his biggest flaw as a driver, even this year, it's like if it's not the top 5 he is racing for, he just loses concentration. Man's really is addicted to winning only, lol

And the situation with Kimi has always been annoying, the F1 account actually thought it was a good idea to post a meme compilation, instead of hi best drives on the announcement of his retirement, like please respect the guy who went up against prime Ferrari Michael in a ticking time bomb of a car, and is still Ferrari's last WDC and probably the fastest driver in terms of raw pace since Senna, and I don't think anyone on the grid Kimi has raced with is close to the pace he possesed when had started out in F1.

I guess it's also about how people see the sport, for some the sport itself is important, so knowing the history and the data is fun, for some it's just watching cars go around and enjoying and basing opinions on media narratives.

But it's still annoying af lol

Ok I love you for asking me this thank you SO MUCH. Welcome to the circus I’m glad you’re here! Also yeah, Schumi is often talked about in terms of statistics and not as a human, Which is a shame bc like! Schumi is fascinating and the dynamics on the grid in late 90s F1 is so much fun! Also, this is mainly going to be late 90s -> early 2010s stuff bc I was born in 98 so uhhh I didn’t properly witness ANY 90s stuff and had to learn about it.

OK so I got super carried away but I’ve divided this into 3 sections: Drives/races that I think showcase some of his talents, human moments we need to talk about more, and Chaotic Little Bitch moments. The key thing to remember w/ Schumi is that he personally tends to be nice but as soon as you put him in a competition, Bastard Mode activates like a cat’s pupils going wide.

I am so sorry for the following short essay. Also some crashes are briefly mentioned but only ones with absolutely no injuries and there’s no details.

Chaotic Little Bitch Moments

Schumi debuted as a SUBSTITUTE driver for Jordan when one of their drivers was in police custody (yes. really.) The highest a Jordan had qualified all year was 10th and in his DEBUT at SPA, one of the toughest tracks, in the middle of the season, Schumi qualified that Jordan 7th! THEN his clutch failed before the first lap was even complete, but Benetton and Jordan WENT TO COURT to fight each other to sign him for their team before the next race in Monza. He couldn’t debut normally he HAD to cause a scene and set the tone.

The Red Strings of Fate: He qualified 7th, his iconic 7 starred helmet, his first victory next year was ALSO at Spa - his first complete race would be at Monza, Ferrari Holy Ground, and he finished 5th which 👀 1) he was immediately racing with The Greats. 2) Mr 5 Championships With Ferrari.

Winning a race by taking a stop and go penalty on the last lap, crossing the finish line in the pits, and making such a complicated argument about said penalty that in a hearing that was SUPPOSED to be Mclaren protesting the race result the stewards scrapped the entire penalty and the 3 who awarded it handed in their licenses??? Iconic.

Austria 2002 where Rubens was ordered to give the win to Michael. And then Michael fucking made him stand on the top step on the podium like “oh no no no RUBENS deserves this” and made a big SHOW out of it and its like “Michael stop you’re not making it heartwarming you’re making it WORSE Michael STOP” The Tension of germany 2010 podium VS the theatricality of THIS podium.

Team orders were banned because of this which also makes this indirectly responsible for Fernando Is Faster Than You having to be a coded message. You can’t escape him,

Blocking Alonso in Monaco qualifying and then, years later in 2010, overtaking Alonso technically illegally at Monaco (the race was ending under safety car, but the safety car doesn’t lead them over the line it pits and they’d crossed the safety car line and the regulations were NOT specific about the rules) and getting a 20 second penalty bc Damon Hill was a steward. Haunting FERNANDO specifically at Monaco like the ghost of christmas past? Getting a harsh penalty because ANOTHER driver he’d fucked over was a steward? Forcing the FIA to rewrite the rulebook to account for his nonsense when he was in his FOURTIES? I don’t know another chaos king.

Winning the 1995 championship by crashing into Damon Hill, getting AWAY with it for some reason, and then trying to do the same thing in 1997 to Villeneuve, failing to do so and simply rebounding off of him harmlessly, almost COMICALLY, and beaching his own car in a gravel trap at which point the FIA said “I have had ENOUGH of you Wacky Races Man!” and disqualified him from the entire championship

Forcing Mika off the track so bad at Spa 2000 that Mika realized the only way he was gonna be able to get past him was to re-invent the overtake and go for it whilst they were passing a backmarker. (The overtake itself is at 2:05 in the video but the build up to it is Important bc the key part it’s not just badass, it only happened bc Mika knew who he was dealing with.)

Spa 1998 was a Ridiculously Chaotic race it truly was the Mugello 2020 of its year, and after a crash at the start that took out almost the entire grid Schumi accidentally collided with Coulthard later in the race. (The teams used to have a spare car at every race then, so the race was able to continue after a restart.) This wasn’t a racing thing, Coulthard was getting lapped. So something in Schumi SNAPS, and he storms down the pitlane and tries to fight Coulthard while the mclaren and ferrari mechanics both hold him back and finally drag him away. He projected into the future, saw Coulthard was gonna talk non-stop shit about Seb, and acted accordingly.

Monaco 2012 Pole don’t talk to me about this I still can’t believe the audacity of this man to get the only pole of his comeback, at MONACO, at the ONE RACE where he had a 5 place grid penalty to take!!

In general, I know Cheating Bad but. I HAVE to admire the brainpower it must take to have the rulebook so memorized that whilst driving an F1 car Schumi could spot a loophole the size of the eye of a needle and then dance through it, forcing the FIA to add ANOTHER page to the rule book specially for him bc nobody else even REALISED that loophole existed.

Human Moments

A quick rant about Mika and Schumi’s entire friendship. After Spa 2000 Mika goes up to Michael, says something like “Don’t ever do that again” then they’re friends again. They had this mutual understanding that Racing was not Reality. This goes all the way back to their F3 days they were rivals AND friends for their entire career. They truly were the Sewis of the era if Sebastian was like 50% more evil. Their entire dynamic is “You’re the only motherfucker in this pit lane who can handle me”. Schumi would do some bullshit and every other driver would throw up their hands in frustration and Mika would just go “Okay” and drive better to put him in his place bc he was the only one who could keep up, and Schumi very visibly LOVED that he’s grinning after Mika owns his entire ass with that overtake at Spa. They were unstoppable force meets immovable object and I’m so sad their rivalry isn’t more talked about bc the way Mika is the only driver who can get him to behave like a normal human being is SO entertaining.

This is a sad one so I won’t link it but he started crying in the 2000 Monza press-conference with his brother and Mika when he equaled one of Senna’s records. The press kept trying to ask questions about it and Mika just has this death grip on his shoulder and tries to get them to stop or let them take a break and it’s so sad but also important to know about.

Once said he didn’t want Mick to race in F1 bc the pressure of his name would put Mick under so much stress and he wanted his son to be happy. (He fully supported Mick in his endeavors! But only after making absolutely sure it was what Mick wanted, and making sure he knew he could just race for fun if he wanted and it didn’t have to be F1)

This whole interview just after Mick was born with the Schumacher family. Special shout out to Gina on his head the entire video and also Corinna talking to the press while Michael is captivated by Mick. Me too Michael.

Once allegedly pleaded to take a stray kitten home from the track?

I reblogged this yesterday but. Sticking like glue to Sebastian at an F1 test and immediately being like “This is my new son he’s gonna go far”. There’s a lot of pictures out there also of Michael being a guest at the karting races Seb went to as a kid and baby Seb visibly losing his fucking mind at being given a trophy by his idol. Every day of my life I think about him trying to ruffle Seb’s hair through his helmet at Brazil 2012

WInning the championship in 2000. Him thanking the entire team individually and pausing mid-celebration to kiss his wife Corinna so tenderly it’s in the F1 opening. Also, the way it literally cuts from the rest of McLaren looking like they’re attending a funeral to Mika grinning at him and hugging him fucking SENDSSSSS me.

Schumi was a little shit in all the 2010-12 press conferences like, lowering Lewis’ chair, playing with a microphone wire, but ESPECIALLY corrupting baby Seb and getting him to mess with Nico Rosberg.

He’s just GOOFY! Like I refuse to let him be remembered as a terrifying force of nature he was so goofy kind of similarly to Seb. PLEASE watch this incredibly awkward interview he did with Coulthard on a golf buggy where they both had to pretend they hadn’t thought about murdering each other at least once. I think Sky F1 should force Brocedes to do this when covid’s over. “Do you mind if I drive?” “Yes.”

EDIT: I CANNOT BELIEVE I forgot the 1999 Canada press conference where Eddie Irvine and Mika Hakkinen get into a water fight and Schumi immediately grabs a towel and hides behind it and is like “I had NOTHING to do with it” 🥺 adorable, actually

A lot of people at Ferrari, including Rob Smedley (who was on the other side of the garage with Felipe Massa so not in his inner circle) have said that a lot of the success of the team came from Schumi’s LEADERSHIP more than anything, that he’d make the team get together to bond all the time. When Schumi moved to Ferrari in 1996 they were NOT dominant. He did the same thing Lewis did - went to a team that everybody said would be a huge mistake and helped build them up behind the scenes.

THIS bit of the Canada 2011 Rewind where his engineer gives him the strategy and he’s like “... OkaAaAaAay?” and then when it turns out to be the wrong strategy he cheerfully tells them it’s too late. Little shit.

Speaking of Mercedes I also wanna say that like. They were a MESS in 2012 and his car DNF’d because of a failing on their part MULTIPLE times. (In Canada qualifying his DRS was stuck open and they couldn’t close it.) He did not say a single bad word about them EVER even though the press used this to attack him non-stop as washed-up and bad without Ferrari to cheat for him. At Ferrari he was the exact same with the team, any bastard antics Schumi had for his rivals did not extend to the engineers and crew.

OK this one is soured bc Top Gear is trash BUT if you were like, a kid in England who followed motorsports? Schumi’s fake reveal as The Stig on Top Gear was like the coolest, sickest thing,

Iconic Races

ok so I have limited myself to a few races that show off some of his key strengths!

Hungary 1998 / France 2004 - STRATEGY/SPEED - Schumi switched to a 3 stop strategy in 98 and a FOUR STOP strategy in 04 and won both races. In order for the strategy call to work he’d have to basically make every single lap a qualifying style ‘flying lap’ and you best fucking believe he DID THAT. God I fucking miss when Ferrari was the king of strategy.

Argentina 1998 -  has it all. Talent, battling Mika, pit lane mind games with mclaren, and bullying coulthard xxx

Spain 1996 / a majority of the wet races - RAIN - One of Schumi’s nicknames was Rain Master bc he was so fucking good in the wet. If it started raining and you were a Schumi stan you were cackling evilly before the red lights even went out. I single out 1996 bc it was his first win for Ferrari and it was unexpected but in most wet races, even Canada 2011 post comeback, you can see Schumi thriving.

Malaysia 1999 - Schumi missed pretty much the entire second half of the season with a broken leg, came back for the last 2 races with everybody murmuring about whether he would struggle, and immediately put the Ferrari on pole. Also worth noting is that he was the number 2 driver for these 2 races bc his teammate Irvine was fighting Mika for the championship and he went along with that without complaint, allowing Ferrari to win the constructor’s championship if not the driver’s.

Monza 2002, 03, 04, or 06 just because it has the energy of the tifosi kneeling at the feet of an idol to their red god.

Brazil 2006 - Fuck All Y’all - Schumi’s last race for Ferrari. He got a puncture and ended up almost lapped, and then drove his way back from that to 4th bc he couldn’t go out without reminding us he’s a bad bitch.

Monza 2012 - Defending - Don’t tell F1 Twitter that there’s actual footage of Lewis and Michael having a genuine lengthy battle on track but DO watch Michael defending like a motherfucker and Lewis breathing down his neck for half the race we need to talk about this more.

Valencia 2012 - This isn’t necessarily anything special but I cried in my living room over the only podium of his comeback so it goes on here. It doesn’t have the same impact if you haven’t been watching him struggle with the car for years, DNF-ing from car failure most of 2012, and having BBC F1 telling you he’s washed up every single weekend, but you can just enjoy one of the best drives of FERNANDO’S entire career as he DRAGS that Ferrari by its hair to a home grand prix win and then watch the crowds embrace him like jesus and also Schumi being happy on the podium. Also, the very start of this clip from the press conference: him forgetting what language he’s supposed to be speaking 

Basically, Schumi was a hyper-competitive ambitious bitch who turned into a goofball as soon as he switched the engine off. This is by NO MEANS everything if I was making an exhaustive best races guide I’d do more research and another post but I hope this is what you were looking for??
