I might touch up a couple lines but the panels turned out great. I really like that the plum tree life cycle doesn’t exactly line up with the rabbits’, but it fits perfectly at the same time???

here it is with the lid. I think I’ll leave it uncarved

As if spring is already here… despite the cold wind, despite my cold hands. A plum tree blossomed in a nearby park.

梅 - Plum Plum blossoms are so pretty. You can see them in artworks sometimes but they do not get as much attention as the universally beloved cherry blossoms. Plums are also very delicious! I can't wait till they are in season again! What's your favorite fruit?

I actually got it all recorded. here’s a commission, a fox take on the bunny jar

the carving took about 2.5 hours, the building took about the same. the jar is 11” tall

'24.3.10 片岡梅林、東大寺にて

霜を期待して出かけるもハズレ･･なので飛火野道向かいの梅林で梅撮り。鹿さんと梅のマッチング、高低差があって難しい･･。

今はお水取りの時期。お松明などの準備で活気づいてるだろうと二月堂へ向かいますが、道中の春の気配に引きずられてなかなか前に進めずｗ･･。

鐘楼を経由して、ようやくお堂の屋根が見えるとこまで来ました･･。
