OMG So many emotions with Brittany Snow's new clip of her on Call her daddy! Someone told her she was too big!?!? 😭 Which one?!?! 😭😭I knew Tyler was trash but now I really hate him. THis is gonna be great but also hear breaking 😭💙💜💙💜💙💜💙💜
I’ve been catching up on Sherlock & Co. and I have to say that I really do love it. I love following along to mysteries and hearing John try to be the normal one when really he’s as socially awkward as Sherlock just in a different way. It’s like he’s trying to be too normal while Sherlock doesn’t try at all. It’s great and you can hear them actually like and care about each other. Sherlock isn’t someone who doesn’t care like some other versions have him be.
He cares about so many things! I can’t even list them all because he cares so much! He also likes things! He is not completely ruled by logic. He likes plants so much his college friend thought he’d get into botany. He likes animals, from rats to cats to dogs! John brings his dog home and now it’s THEIR dog! He likes Christmas!
And John is just so funny and actually brave. He’s not a soldier first, he’s a doctor first. He hesitates so much when he’s given a gun but shoved his way through a crowd to save a man he really doesn’t like at all. He broke the law to help people in a different country.
And god I love the cases. They’re just so much fun to listen to. Some of them are so far fetched, but keep a core of realism that I really appreciate. And god, what a way around the original stories. I was so excited to get to the Red Headed League because it was one of my favorite of the short stories, (a fun non-violent story that is just so weird) and it really didn’t disappoint! I love that they skipped over a Study In Scarlet altogether.
And god, I just really appreciated the Solitary Cyclist. That was like reading a Reddit story. And the ending was so exciting, like wow!
And the relationships are so great. I love Marianna so much, and I love how she really is the backbone of their business. They all have their roles and they all do it pretty well. (Although John needs a better microphone, or at least a separate one for traveling). Just it’s so nice to hear these three people really get along. And romance wise? I honestly don’t know if John will end up with Marianna or Sherlock. It’s like there’s enough to make a case for both or neither. Or it could go nowhere, no romance whatsoever and I would be so perfectly happy about it because there’s actual substance to it.
Anyway, it’s a great podcast. It’s funny and smart and really just such a good journey to be on. I’m genuinely considering joining the patreon because I hate ads so much, but god that theme song is so good it makes me completely forget about the ads until they pop up again.
10/10 highly recommend. Especially if you’re someone who felt betrayed by BBC Sherlock or even someone who was more into Elementary.
WE DID IT, YALL!
@kdinjenzen finally caught up with One Piece and tomorrow's episode marks the end of her journey and the beginning of another!
Now we ALL get to theorize, but there's no theorist quite like our WILD THEORIST, Kdin.
