I went through almost every Pokedex entry to predict what Pokemon could have a Hisuian form or some sort of significance in Legends Arceus. These Pokemon are categorized by having a different form in the past, mentions of being domesticated and mentions of the past.
I’ve avoided some legendary Pokemon. I’m assuming that either Dialga and Palkia or the “pixie” trio will be in the game. And probably Giratina too.
After Gen 5 there’s not many Pokemon that are mentioned to have some sort of past history or a different form.
This is long so,
Besides the obvious, (like Arcanine,)
Craggy Geodude (plus Graveler and Golem):
Ruby- The longer a GEODUDE lives, the more its edges are chipped and worn away, making it more rounded in appearance. However, this POKéMON’s heart will remain hard, craggy, and rough always.
(Undomesticated?) Magikarp (and Gyarados):
Red Blue- In the distant past, it was somewhat stronger than the horribly weak descendants that exist today.
Ultra Sun- In the distant past, they were fairly strong, but they have become gradually weaker over time
Chinchou and Lanturn (they both have similar entries):
Sun- Its two antennae were originally fins. It discharges electricity to stun its prey before attacking.
Crystal- This POKéMON uses the bright part of its bod y, which changed from a dorsal fin, to lure prey.
Beltless Machoke (boss?):
Yellow- The belt around its waist holds back its energy. Without it, this POKéMON would be unstoppable.
Red Blue- Its muscular body is so powerful, it must wear a power save belt to be able to regulate its motions.
Undomesticated Snubbull:
Gen 2+- Although it looks frightening, it is actually kind and affectionate. It is very popular among women.
Ultra Sun- It grows close to others easily and is also easily spoiled. The disparity between its face and its actions makes many young people wild about it.
Undomesticated Skitty and Delcatty:
Sapphire- SKITTY is known to chase around playfully after its own tail. In the wild, this POKéMON lives in holes in the trees of forests. It is very popular as a pet because of its adorable looks.
FireRed LeafGreen- The favorite of trend-conscious female TRAINERS, they are used in competition for their style and fur.
Mawile:
Shield- It chomps with its gaping mouth. Its huge jaws are actually steel horns that have been transformed.
Raikou, Entei and Suicune’s original form?:
Ho-Oh revived three Pokemon that were caught in a burning tower that became these three. Johto and Sinnoh are canonically close so this could be a real possibility.
I want this to happen anyway.
Swablu (and Altaria):
Shield- Since Swablu looks like a cumulus cloud, foes can have a hard time finding it. Apparently its wings turned white over many generations.
Natural Corphish (and Crawdaunt):
Ruby- CORPHISH were originally foreign POKéMON that were imported as pets. They eventually turned up in the wild. This POKéMON is very hardy and has greatly increased its population.
Fruitless Tropius:
Ruby- The bunches of fruit around TROPIUS’s neck are very popular with children. This POKéMON loves fruit, and eats it continuously. Apparently, its love for fruit resulted in its own outgrowth of fruit.
Burmy and Wormadam trash replacement?:
Burmy and Wormadam has a “trash” form based on the city. But there’s not a city in this game, so maybe the “trash” form will be replaced with something else?
Shellos and Gastrodon (probably not, but I want to add every possibility.):
Diamond- Its colors and shapes differ from region to region. In the Sinnoh region, two types are confirmed.
HeartGold SoulSilver- Its shape and coloration vary, depending on its habitat.
Undomesticated Glameow:
Diamond- It claws if displeased and purrs when affectionate. Its fickleness is very popular among some.
Asian elephant Copperajah?:
Sword- They came over from another region long ago and worked together with humans. Their green skin is resistant to water.
Note: I think this is just referencing a future India-based Pokemon game, but I’m going to add it here anyway, just in case.
Will not necessarily get an image change but will get a more subtle change:
Common Farfetch’d:
Yellow- Lives where reedy plants grow. They are rarely seen, so it’s thought their numbers are decreasing.
Crystal- In order to prevent their extinction, more people have made an effort to breed these POKéMON.
Common Lapras:
Gen 1+- A POKéMON that has been overhunted almost to extinction. It can ferry people across the water.
Slow Chansey:
Shield- This species was once very slow. To protect their eggs from other creatures, these Pokémon became able to flee quickly.
(More) common Stantler (which leads to the evolution?):
Ruby Sapphire- STANTLER’s magnificent antlers were traded at high prices as works of art. As a result, this POKéMON was hunted close to extinction by those who were after the priceless antlers.
Mantyke, maybe-
Pearl- Scientists discovered that the distinctive patterns on its back differ by region. (Though it doesn’t seem to be true.)
Entries of things “happening in the past” that could be plot relevant.
Wartortle (plus Squirtle and Blastoise):
Gold- It is recognized as a symbol of longevity. If its shell has algae on it, that WARTORTLE is very old.
BW/2 and Y- It is said to live 10,000 years. Its furry tail is popular as a symbol of longevity.
Fearow (and Spearow):
Yellow- A POKéMON that dates back many years. If it senses danger, it flies high and away, instantly.
Golduck (and Psyduck):
Shield- Old tales tell of Golduck punishing those that defiled its river. The guilty were dragged into the water and taken away.
Vulpix,
(Pretty much every entry) At the time of birth, it has just one tail. The tail splits from its tip as it grows older.
Leading into Ninetales:
(Gen 2+) Some legends claim that each of its nine tails has its own unique type of special mystical power.
Plus (relevant?): Yellow- According to an enduring legend, 9 noble saints were united and reincarnated as this POKéMON.
Ampharos:
Diamond Pearl Platinum- The tip of its tail shines brightly. In the olden days, people sent signals using the tail’s light.
Voltorb (Electrode may not exist):
Silver- It was discovered when POKé BALLS were introduced. It is said that there is some connection.
Ruby- VOLTORB was first sighted at a company that manufactures POKé BALLS. The link between that sighting and the fact that this POKéMON looks very similar to a POKé BALL remains a mystery. (”Manufacture” doesn’t necessarily mean factory.)
Kangaskhan:
Shield- There are records of a lost human child being raised by a childless Kangaskhan
Exploud:
Sword- In the past, people would use the loud voices of these Pokémon as a means of communication between distant cities.
Lairon:
Sword- Lairon live in mountains brimming with spring water and iron ore, so these Pokémon often came into conflict with humans in the past.
Baltoy:
Ruby- BALTOY moves while spinning around on its one foot. Primitive wall paintings depicting this POKéMON living among people were discovered in some ancient ruins.
Claydol:
Ruby- CLAYDOL are said to be dolls of mud made by primitive humans and brought to life by exposure to a mysterious ray. This POKéMON moves about while levitating.
Snorunt:
Y- In the snow country, certain folklore says a house will prosper if a Snorunt lives there.
Drifloon:
Platinum- Because of the way it floats aimlessly, an old folktale calls it a “Signpost for Wandering Spirits.”
Bronzor:
Diamond- Implements shaped like it were discovered in ancient tombs. It is unknown if they are related.
Shield- Polishing Bronzor to a shine makes its surface reflect the truth, according to common lore. Be that as it may, Bronzor hates being polished.
Bronzong:
Black 2 White 2- In ages past, this Pokémon was revered as a bringer of rain. It was found buried in the ground.
Gabite:
Diamond- There is a long-held belief that medicine made from its scales will heal even incurable illnesses
Mamoswine:
Platinum- A frozen one was dug up from soil dating back 10,000 years. It woke up to much amazement.
Roggenrola:
White-  They were discovered a hundred years ago in an earthquake fissure. Inside each one is an energy core.
Conkeldurr:
Black- It is thought that Conkeldurr taught humans how to make concrete more than 2,000 years ago.
Sigilyph (probably too old though):
Shield- A discovery was made in the desert where Sigilyph fly. The ruins of what may have been an ancient city were found beneath the sands.
Vanillish (also Vanillite and Vanilluxe):
Moon- This Pokémon has existed since the Ice Age. It controls particles of ice, freezes its opponents, and then shatters them with a headbutt.
Klink:
Shield- It’s suspected that Klink were the inspiration behind ancient people’s invention of the first gears.
Golett and Golurk:
Ultra Moon- Although ancient people apparently built it by working with clay, the source of its energy is unclear.
White- It is said that Golurk were ordered to protect people and Pokémon by the ancient people who made them.
Vivillon:
X and Omega Ruby- Vivillon with many different patterns are found all over the world. These patterns are affected by the climate of their habitat.
Malamar:
Shield- It’s said that Malamar’s hypnotic powers played a role in certain history-changing events.
Kommo-o armor?:
Moon- Its rigid scales function as offense and defense. In the past, its scales were processed and used to make weapons and other commodities.
Magearna:
Sun- This artificial Pokémon, constructed more than 500 years ago, can understand human speech but cannot itself speak.
Melmetal:
Let’s GO:  Revered long ago for its capacity to create iron from nothing, for some reason it has come back to life after 3,000 years.
Rolycoly (plus Carkol, Coalossal):
Sword-  Most of its body has the same composition as coal. Fittingly, this Pokémon was first discovered in coal mines about 400 years ago.
Unown (I actually highly doubt that Unown will be relevant, but I’ll include it in here anyway just in case)-
Ruby Sapphire-This POKéMON is shaped like ancient writing. It is a mystery as to which came first, the ancient writings or the various UNOWN. Research into this topic is ongoing but nothing is known.
Aegislash (probably not, but maybe in a future Legends game? If they make more?):
Shield- Its potent spectral powers allow it to manipulate others. It once used its powers to force people and Pokémon to build a kingdom to its liking.
(Probably) won’t exist:
Any man-made Pokemon (unless it’s part of a quest)
Any unnaturally-made Pokemon (like Grimer and Muk)
Any fossil Pokemon. (Legends doesn’t go back THAT far!)
