I’ve been lowkey kinda having ideas of making a series of little doodles or strips based off my pokemon from Scarlet, so I guess I wanted to start off by introducing some of the cast!
Here are the main four of the gang: Basil, Chorizo, Roxas, and Axel! I’m not really planning on making full on bios for the characters quite yet, so for now here are some doodles to get a feel for thier personalities!
More doodles of some of the other characters will be coming in the future!

Wonderful Things That May Or May Not Be Wonderful
Well, I think it’s been long enough after the release of Pokémon Scarlet and Violet to start posting about 9th generation pokemon. We’ve got quite the roster this time around but in order to discuss my choice, we first need to talk about the sun. Ever since Gen 2, Pokémon have possessed moves that can change the weather adding additional effects to the battlefield. One such move is Sunny Day which increases the power of Fire type moves and lowers the power of Water type moves. Additionally, several Pokémon have the ability Chlorophyll which doubles the speed stat of a pokemon while Sun is up (which is really good). Since Chlorophyll is exclusively given to Grass types, no pokemon has ever been able to take advantage of all of Sunny Day’s major benefits…until now. Enter Scovillain, a unique Grass-Fire type with access to Chlorophyll as an ability. That’s awesome. It also helps that Grass attacks are super effective against all of Fire’s weaknesses meaning that it's got a leg up on other sun benefiters. And I have to talk about that design. It looks like the Waluigi of Pokémon. Strangely crooked but undeniably endearing with those two chili pepper heads, hands in its non-existent pockets and that sleazy posture. Plus, I’ve wanted a Pokémon based on chili peppers for the longest time. So yeah, handily my favorite Gen 9 mon. Can’t wait to see how #wonderful it can truly be when tears up online in the burning sun.

Part two of Wallace's journey, aka documenting my water mono-type run. After the long first part we're finally ready to get down to business. Time to fight Katy.
So Wallace made his way to Cortondo. South province area two was boring area to Wallace, it mostly being dry land. He attempted to find a new water buddy down by the water of Mesagoza and got himself an Arrowkuda, he also found a Surskit but sadly it would evolve into a non-water type so he couldn't in good faith catch it.
Wallace had a fool proof plan. Use Quacky the Quaxly with its wing attack to take everything down. And he actually went into the gym pretty soon after reading the town, being able to easily take down the optional fights in the gym challenge. He put his level 13 Quaxly up against Katy's team. Her Nymble and Tarountula both went down in 2 hits, making a dent in Quacky's health. He terastallized Quacky just as Katy did the same to her Teddiursa. And it...
One shot Quacky. Which was the only member above level 11. It was a massacre, no one being able to get a single hit in before she uses fury cutter and fury swipes.
Back to the drawing board. Wallace also has Gully the Wingull, though it had no flying type attacks. Checking the TM machine, he discovered he could actually get air cutter by using 3 Combee honey, a pokemon you can fight outside of town. It was time to train. Originally, there was a fear that training outside of Cortondo wasn't possible due to most pokemon doing too much damage to easily auto-battle. But luckily for Wallace, there's actually a ton of Diglett, Combee and Kricketot around. Off he goes training Gully.
While still not ideal, he went into the gym with his team. The new plan was using Gully, now level 13, against Katy's first two pokemon. And go up against Teddiursa once again with Quacky, now level 15.
It goes as planned at first. Gully one shots Nymble, and two-shots Tarountula with air cutter. Quacky goes in against Katy, once again they both terastallize. Though after getting two hits in, Quacky still succumbs to fury cutter. It was up to Gully once again. It was tense, but Quacky's hits did enough damage to have 1 air cutter be enough. Wallace did it, receiving the bug badge.
And after all his travel and training, his Azurill named Hoppy evolved. Finally becoming a water type he could use.
As a gift for winning, Katy gives him some cupcakes he happily takes as they take a picture
