Pokémon the Movie: Hoopa and the Clash of Ages: Directed by Kunihiko Yuyama. With Rica Matsumoto, Ikue Ôtani, Mayuki Makiguchi, Yûki Kaji. Ash, Pikachu, and their friends meet the mythical Pokémon Hoopa. The little Pokémon likes to use his talent to play harmless tricks on people. When its true power is released, it loses control and becomes the terrifying Hoopa Unbound.

Just saw Hoopa and the clash of ages for the second time (nice to see my boy Lugia again) and all I saw when Rayquaza showed up was Amethio and the explorers.
Guess I'm just cursed to associate shiny Rayquaza with Amethio and his Ceruledge now.

Speaking of the movie events, it is interesting to think about which movies were reported on or who knows about the events:
The second movie affected the whole planet and was reported on.
The third movie also had reporters which apparently made big enough news to reach Kanto (or wherever Charizard Valley is located).
The only documentation of 4 ever and Heroes would be the arrest of three high ranking Team Rocket members.
Destiny Deoxys affected a whole city and The Rise of Darkrai affected a whole town, so those would make headlines.
Master of Illusions, Ash and Co tricked the main villain Grings Kodai into confessing his crime of city wide environmental damage on tape.
In the black and white movies a whole castle is moved, so if that wasn’t reported on then it would create loads of confusion for tourists who wanted to visit the castle.
Hoopa and the Clash of Ages is a similar situation to Destiny Deoxys and The Rise of Darkrai where the events affected a whole City.
Volcanion and the Mechanical Marvel main villain Alva is a councillor, so his actions and his arrest for attempted mass murder would have definitely made the headlines.
As for the films post gen 6
The Power of Us has a city go through a whole crisis so that would definitely make headline news.
Koko/Secrets of the Jungle, Dr Zed would be in the news for both the environmental damage he caused and the double murder that was uncovered by the whistleblowers known as Jessie and James.
All other movies only Ash, his companions, and the handful of new friends Ash makes in those movies get to experience the events due to the events taking place somewhere remote, or conveniently no civilians discovering that legendary and/or mythical Pokemon are fighting in the middle of a large populated area.
The exception being the first movie where Mewtwo wiped everyone’s memories of the film’s events, thanks Mewtwo.
Wiping memories was the dumbest decision they could have made to reset Ash and friends to the status quo considering they already forget everything they went through whenever a big event happens

Arceus's human form went through a lot of designs, mainly the hair and clothing. It went from long to short to even looking a bit like Damo's style with the long side whisps around the face. I didn't think this looked enough like Arceus though, so went right back to the longer hair, but it made me wonder if the hair wouldnt just get everywhere and his face. Im sure hed hate the maintenance of that. XD I needed some inspiration from the anime itself...
This lead me to pokemon fashion in general.
It's kind of crazy how much the humans sometimes look like pokemon themselves in the anime. To the point its a guessing game on what pokemon they're trying to emulate. I wanted that for Archer too, but not too on the nose. After all, Volo was still around. Arceus's true nature had to be hinted at through accessories. I got rid of the ring in the hair and turned it into a pendant similar to the ones seen on Baraz and Meray from the movie, Hoopa and the Clash of Ages.
What resulted was a more practical travel friendly look. His hair is tied back, he wears layers, including a scarf, and his pendant is really the only thing tying him to his true nature. He looks very unassuming...which is absolutely perfect for a god in disguise. The layers underneath aren't always visible, but this art captures what's under it. It is heavily inspired by the clothing of ancient Michina, especially the embroidery on the sleeves and lapel, but with a modern twist.
And before I forget, I actually had no idea what Arceus's gender would be prior to the second chapter. I hadn't planned that far yet. Since the look of long hair and the clothes were very unisex. I actually flipped a coin a few times to see if Arceus would be male or female or whatever. It landed on male more than a few times, so I settled on that, but here's a design for a female Arceus I played around with, based on the scene where they first transformed, but is wearing very ancient looking clothing aka looking like an absolute goddess. Delia would've instantly been smitten with her from the get go. Lol
Looking majestic as AF...until she tries to walk on two legs.
Somewhere, Giratina is laughing their ass off.

Something I noticed: you mentioned a yank on a Mewtwo's second neck could tear the delicate nerves and kill them. Welp, mega Newtwo Y has a head ring instead of a second neck, so good luck threatening her now. And assuming Mewtwo will mega evolve (lol, separate universes, same sibling fights), that kind of brings to me... if mega is activated by a strong trainer-pokemon bond, how does N2 evolves again? And if her evolution does not come from a friendship bond, would that mean Mewtwo's evolution ends up being stronger? Bc that's some 🌟power of friendship🌟
I don't think it's ever really explained how she mega evolves on her own. My guess is that she's able to channel that energy into certain emotions that can trigger the evolution such as intense anger/rage or an urgent need to defend herself (and/or others) If that's the case then that would mean Mewtwo can also change on his own but since he is newer to the experience than his sister is he'd need some practice lol.
Mewtwo has a difficult time dealing with his own emotions sometimes and can get overwhelmed when certain things happen. His emotions are weak in a sense because they're always in a state of flux so maybe that's why it hasn't worked for him. But since the bond he and Lakota share is more emotionally stable, that's probably why it was a stronger mega evolution trigger.
Though on the other hand maybe Newtwo can mega evolve herself just cause she can lol in the movie Hoopa and the Clash of the Ages, Latios, Latias and Rayquaza all were able to mega evolve at will, even without the stones. Either way works XD
