On a different note, when you obsessively buy books he wants to stop you but he can't because you look so cute with the way your face lights up at each cover

"I've been wanting this one!" Or, "I have this one but this is a different cover!"

He isn't all for traditional gender roles but he will pay for your stuff, just because he loves you. He lets you pay for him sometimes if you offer

He sometimes sneaks a book out, stealing it just because he hates the way you insist on following rules

"Here, I took this one for ya," he says

"Hobart Brown!" You scold but can't help being happy for the book

"What? I'm stealing from the rich," he gestures to the book store. "And giving to the poor," he ends, gesturing at you.

Married is not the same as just lovers!

I wanted some interaction between Chikage and Shinichi with a touch of humiliation from Toichi and Kaito, it will be long so I'll make a cut

"The day you sleep peacefully and wake up at 2 in the morning and go downstairs and find your magician husband making a house of cards on the kitchen table while the poor guy tries to open a package of gummy bears, you will know how is to be happily married."

chikage said to shinichi as he cut the potatoes for dinner. shinichi was, to say the least, confused. There were only 3 months left until his wedding with Kuroba Kaito and he was helping his mother-in-law prepare dinner for his future husband and father-in-law when the topic of conversation suddenly changed to… this strange comment.

"What? How am I supposed to interpret that?"

Shinichi was trying to figure out, why did this family always speak in code? Not even his parents were that annoying.

"Well honey, I'm referring to your relationship and the changes it will experience, being married is very different from being lovers, when you marry Kaito you will discover things about him that no one else would understand!"

While Chikage put the pan on the fire and moved the meat from the bowl, Shinichi remained thoughtful. He already knew Kaito very well, what else should he know?

"but kaito and I already know each other very well, I don't think it will be a big change"

Chikage chuckled as she looked for something in the refrigerator and with all the cerenity in the world she began to explain.

"I thought the same thing when I married Toichi, but reality slapped me in the face when we started living together as a married couple, I never imagined that my beloved had such… 'peculiar' tastes and habits, you know"

she cleared his throat

"I still remember when I discovered that Toichi spoke in his sleep, it was very strange and funny! I discovered that if I whispered a little I could manipulate his dreams, when I discovered that Mr. gentleman was capable of insulting at such speed when he thought he was alone, when I discovered that he had insomnia and did strange things when he was sleep-deprived, or when I discovered that he loved talking to Kaito when he was barely born! Oh~ it was hilarious to see him interpret our baby's noises and gestures to continue the conversation!"

Shinichi was perplexed, he had no idea that his father-in-law could be so… similar to Kaito in the sense of being adorably weird. It was when a question crossed his mind, what would his kaito be like when they got married?

"So, was it a very drastic change?"

Shinichi began to prepare the salad without taking his eyes off his mother-in-law.

"Oh yes it was! It was a huge twist. going from 'Prince Charming' to 'I don't know how I got here if I don't even know how to boil water' and it was very fun, somewhat difficult but that's what life is about! change others and let others change you"

Shinichi looked lovingly at his mother-in-law, she was right, he and Kaito were young and still changing. It would undoubtedly be fun to evolve with his beloved, but he returned from his thoughts to be able to finish dinner. After many jokes and exchanging secrets from their lovers, dinner was served on time when the front door opened.

"kaa-san, shin-chan, we're home!"

Kaito entered and behind him came his father. Shinichi ran into Kaito's arms and kissed his cheek welcoming him, Kaito blushed and smiled while his parents murmured and laughed behind them. Already seated at the table, the magicians praised their loved ones.

"It's delicious, honey! Your seasoning is always so smooth and unique!" Toichi said while licking his fingers, completely leaving aside the cutlery.

"and the meat is juicy and tender, I'm impressed by how well you cook now shin-chan!" Kaito took another big bite, staining his white shirt.

both cooks looked at each other and laughed

"oh kai-chan, look what a mess you've made! my little messy baby!" Chikage said with a sweet tone and pinched Kaito's cheek.

"um, oji-san, there," shinichi said, holding back a laugh as he brought the fork to toichi.

both wizards looked at their hands/shirt, became silent and turned as red as a tomato.

"oi, chika-chan!" "oi, shin-chan!"

Serkan is really changing and for the first time fighting for the one he loves the most. I'm so proud of him.

Serkan telling Engin that this is the last day of Eda at the office so he has to find an excuse because Serkan needs to spend the most time possible with her. This gave me episode 11 vibes✨

Serkan didn't listen a word during the meeting because he was so afraid that Eda would leave him again. My poor babe is so in love that he doesn't know how to handle it.

"Eda is more important to me now."

The proof that Serkan is changing pt. 2.

Eda takes out the meter to misure that Serkan is at least one meter from her. This was so funny. And he ask her if she feels safe now that she knows that there is one meter of distance.

Serkan asking Leyla if she can put the ring in Eda's pocket. I think that the ring represents Serkan's hope in the relationship. I love Serkan and Leyla relationship, he's the only one to notice the ring on her finger, and when she tells him that she's engaged to Erdem (the one that he doesn't love😂) he's worried about her, his face say oh come on you can have someone better than him. He even tells her that they would talk about this engagement. He cares so much about Leyla.

Serkan wants to open a case against the paparazzi not because of his imagine or reputation, but because this upset Eda and made her faint, because is so worried about her. And he ask Ceren not to tell Eda because he doesn't want that she thinks that he's interfering in her life. The proof that Serkan is changing pt. 3

"What do I need to do to make you stay?"

"Nothing."

"Say whatever you want. What can I do to make you stay?"

"Serkan, you're so unbalanced towards me that I no longer know what to think."

"Don't go away... Don't go away."

"Serkan..."

"Didn't you tell me to say 'don't go' if I didn't want you to go... So now I'm telling you not to go away."

"Why? To get even more disappointed?"

"There will be no more disappointments. I promise you."

"Look... Every time I believe you, every time... Breaking the promise that I made to myself. But this time I won't. This time I gave my word to my aunt, I will stay away from you. And I will keep my word."

Episode 11 vibes in this scene. I get why Eda behave like that, I would have done the same, but I feel so sorry for Serkan. When he finally has the courage to say 'don't go' Eda doesn't believe him anymore.

The whole scene when Serkan see the photographer and Eda talk his jealously is over the moon. He even ask to Engin to say something just to be near them so he can hear what are they saying. And when Engin told him that he wants to marry Piril and have 7-8 babies Serkan says that he approves, like an old brother. Their friendship is so special.

Serkan showing up at the photoshoot... Oh God he's so jealous. I love the fact that Serkan has still and effect on Eda and he knows it. She more than once ask him not to look at her.

"The woman you called an angel, Eda... Is my girlfriend. We're not just dating, we are a couple. She is the woman of my life. And I'm everything in her life. So no hamburgers. You understood me. Cancel. Now."

His smug and proud face make me laugh so much. He's so jealous.

"How can you still call us engaged?"

"Yes, it might not be real, but..."

"But?"

"We fell in love with each other. Now will you give up our love?"

"And then deception, disappointment, lies..."

"I only deceived you only once, and in order not to upset you."

"But it doesn't work that way. You can't destroy a relationship and then stick it together."

"You're right. There's only one important thing..."

"Which one?"

"You. Eda, everything can work out. Everything. Let me settle this."

"What are you still talking about? What are you talking about after last night? You made me wait for you for hours, do you know?"

"What?"

"I shouldn't have said. I said again. Because I'm stupid. Stupid!"

"Eda, what's going on?"

"Don't bother anymore. Please don't bother. All mine feelings to you... It's over."

"Eda. I was waiting for you all night yesterday at that restaurant."

"You were definitely waiting."

"I waited."

"I was waiting for you there, Serkan."

"It's impossible I was there."

"I was there, you didn't come."

"Eda are you kidding me? Which restaurant did you go? Maybe you went to the wrong place?"

"Restaurant in the Levent area, I went there."

"What?"

"Not the one?"

"No."

"Not the one?"

"You went somewhere else. Was it written in the envelope?"

"Yes."

"Good, so someone changed the envelope."

"Who would replace it?"

"There is someone on my mind but... Wait a minute you went at the restaurant. So to give me a chance?"

"Not in terms of love relationship. That's what you said."

"Yes. I told you to help me become a better person."

"Serkan, I really don't know what to think..."

"Do not think. Do not think. Feel. I know that you feel the same as me. Therefore, do not think. Be by my side. How would you go to the end, so let's go. As you want. Just be there. What do you say?"

I don't think that this scene need an explanation, it speaks for itself.

"Eda is in the kitchen, I think. It's time for me to drink some water."

Eda worried about Serkan, because he followed the man that Sayfi hired and never came back. And he's so satisfied because she still worries about him. And the way they look at each other🔥

The engagement misunderstanding was so hilarious. I laughed so hard during the whole scene. And the photos... Awww beautiful.

"Good night Eda Yildiz."

"Good night Serkan Bolat."

Yesssss they're back at it. I missed this 'coded message' between them. And he's going to pick her up the next morning. I'm so in love with the old Eda and Serkan.

"I missed it. This place. Through this beautiful air, through the trees."

Of course Serkan... You missed the place... Of course. He really needs to learn how to lie, he's not believable.

The final scene... Oh God it was perfect. The fact that he didn't want to go to the restaurant because Eda's claustrophobia. I love that he didn't force her to try to get in the elevator. But when she's willing to try he's immediately at her side to help her. I loved that he push all the buttons so if she couldn't do it they could get out. And the way Serkan calmed her down. It was beautiful and perfect. And the kiss... WE FINALLY HAVE A KISS... I'm so happy. The kiss gave me Teen Wolf vibes, when Lydia kissed Stiles to calm him down because he was having a panic attack. It was really beautiful.

Can’t wait to read you thoughts on this episode. Eda and Serkan are getting engaged! ngl seeing the rings did something to me, I haven’t recovered yet.

I KNOW!!!!! I missed the rings so much. When folks were upset during the filming of 20 when it became apparent he wasn't wearing the ring anymore, I remember saying that they have to take them off so they can put them back on for real, and it will be oh so sweet when they do. Flashforward six weeks and YES!!!! Just seeing those rings again is sweet we're going to die when they actually slip them on during the next episode. I'm not attached to any of my own jewelry the way I'm attached to their rings, lmao.

As a whole this episode was very enjoyable for me.  The new writers clearly realized they needed a mood change after episode 25, and I was thrilled to see the show return to its roots. The tone felt more like the first batch of episodes than any in recent memory. What a relief. Also I've said prior to this that I suspected that where we would feel Ayse's absence was in the humor and lack of sparkle.  Well I thought this episode had plenty of both, so I stand corrected. The first Edser scene with Serkan gliding by Eda without saying a word and then having his trusty sidekick Leyla keep an eye on what they were doing outside set the light comedic tone and put everything on the right footing from the get go. 

More later on Edser, let's start with all the nonsense they use to fill the rest of the 2+ hours.

What in the frack is Babaanne's endgame?  Does she have one?  Is it to take revenge on Serkan? To get Eda back in her orbit? Or just to cause chaos? Or is she testing them? Not sure. 

I enjoyed the scene between mom and son, Aydan and Serkan's relationship has really become one of the best on the show, certainly better than recent Eda/Ayfer.  Which is interesting, because in the pilot they established that while Serkan may be rich with material things, he was lacking in love and emotional familial support, while Eda was poor in regards to material things, but was surrounded by love in the form of her family/friends. Though perhaps one of the greatest gifts Eda's given Serkan is an improved relationship with his mother, and the impetus to distance himself from his unloving father. While Serkan has inspired her growing independence from her aunt. 

Speaking of them, let's move on to Aydan and Ayfer. PLEASE MADE THIS CHEF NONSENSE END! Good grief. I really don't enjoy watching these two ladies making total asses of themselves over this douche. Both of them trying to catch him on his jog and then going along with his aikido nonsense. It feels like he's just playing with them for his own amusement. Both deserve better and I don't even like Ayfer. Also if my boss gave me a single red rose for being employee of the month, I'd find that both creepy and hella disappointing (crash prizes please.) 

Meanwhile Ayfer is still testing my last nerve. When Aydan and Seyfi show up and inform her that they've found out that Serkan and Eda broke up and she responds with, "Were they even together to break up?" I wanted to slap her upside the head. Whatever official relationship status Eda and Serkan have, they have been connected and in a romantic relationship this entire time. The bit of time jump at the start of 15 before she goes back to work for Efe, is really the only section of time since they've met where they weren't in a relationship. And while Eda isn't all that forthcoming with Ayfer when it comes to Serkan, she hasn't really hidden it well. It was at Ayfer's birthday when they were on the ice together being very romantic, Ayfer was at Aydan's 70s party and could very well see Eda and Serkan attached at the hip all night and wound around one another intimately slow dancing, Ayfer knows Eda spent the night at Serkan's when she left because of Babaanne, Ayfer was at the NY party and saw them together there. Not to mention Ayfer knows Serkan saved her business and why, she knows Serkan was still wearing his ring, and she knows Eda looked completely shattered over leaving Serkan as Ayfer heartlessly reacted with glee in the last episode. 

So asking "were they even together" just completely diminishes what Eda is currently going through, as if parting with him is no big deal because there was nothing there to begin with, when she knows better. When she's seen it with her own two eyes. Seriously.. fuck her. Every other character who is a friend of Eda and Serkan all know that they're a unit. I don't even feel bad that she came to ArtLife to beg for Eda's company, but Eda ended up blowing her off. Surprising Serkan with a proposal was a much better use of her time.

Engin and Piril, yeeesh, I feel for Piril, trying to put off this meeting. I'm sure she's thinking it's for Engin's own good, but her flipping into total bitch mode when they're newlyweds... not great. Not an auspicious start to the marriage. Even if she wants to keep Engin away from her father, she ought to confide in Engin and tell him why she's freaked. I'm assuming we'll get more of that in the next episode since Engin is looking rough in those promo stills. 

My favorite side plot was probably Grandog's henchman's (what is his name?) crush on Melo. Melo deserves to be crushed on, and I love that she is so uninterested that she doesn't see it.  Much more fun to have him chasing her, and her being oblivious. Poor Leyla, trying in vain to get his attention when he only has eyes for Melo. Enjoyed that Melo and Leyla made the agreement that Melo would help Leyla get the dude and Leyla would help get rid of Erdem. I'm looking forward to see where this goes. 

Ceren and Ferit... were there too. 

Now onto the A story (and let's be real the only one that matters) Eda and Serkan. Obviously 25 left us off in a very sad, heartbroken place. I'm not sure what decisions were made, when or why, but at some point TPTB decided they needed to get back to their roots and thank goodness. Episode 25 was just so dark, Eda was miserable the entire episode, as was Serkan, and that's not fun to watch for 2 hours. The way they handled them here is much better. 

I know some feel the tone shift was too much. To that I would say, it was so dark in ep 25, I'm happy to do a 180, no matter the reason, to get back to a place where watching is fun, and also I think of the breakup as Eda throwing the breaks on a runaway train and once she did, and she was sure the train was stopped at least for the time being, then she could take a moment, reassess the situation and potentially decide it wasn’t as dire as she thought. In the last episode, every moment Eda delayed giving that old bitty what she wanted, something catastrophic befell Serkan, his business, or his family. The pressure mounted, the stakes were high and in the end she had to do whatever was necessary to stop Babaanne's assault on Serkan. 

This episode we saw her catch her breath and then formulate a plan. I think a tone shift fits with that. Of course she feels lighter knowing that even though she hurt Serkan, he's protected for the moment. Now that that's taken care of, she's ready for next steps. So it works that the next morning we see her telling Melo and Ceren that she's not going to give up Serkan, and outlining her plan around getting close to Babaanne in order to get something on her. Good girl!  

As I said above, I just adored that first scene outside ArtLife. The girls gathered around, trying to warn Eda that Serkan was coming, and then his walk by where he KNEW EXACTLY WHAT HE WAS DOING when he got right up in Eda's business without even looking at her.  He knows what makes her weak in the knees. And I love that Serkan decided to play it like this. HE KNOWS. He knows she loves him, he knows there's more to the breakup, and he knows how to deal with it. Drive her crazy until she cracks and tells him everything. OR drive her crazy until they end in a passionate, possessive sex explosion. One or the other.  

Quick poll, who didn't love watching Serkan take back the reigns of his company? This gal did. YAAAAAAAAAAASSSSS. Alpha Serkan is back. Kick the old bag's throne to the curb. Kick the old bag's creepy client to the curb. Now we just have to kick the old bag and her deranged, obsessed sidekick to the curb as well.  But for now, I loved seeing him at the end of the table, making decisions, not brooking opposition. The team squabbling over his decision, but he just sits back, unbothered. Total power move. I appreciate Ferit questioning the decision, questioning it is the right thing to do in his position, but he may have gotten a little too pissy about it. Dude, this entire company IS Serkan. The success of the company is due to his talent, his vision, his business acumen. I get they're all worried he's making a decision because of Eda, but he's got a proven track record of, you know, being right, so there's no reason to get shirty. If Serkan doesn't want to work with someone, his instinct is probably on target.

Eda getting Babaanne to stand down warmed me from the inside out. I find it interesting that she used the argument that they were pushing him too hard and he didn't deserve it, and Babaanne bought it. For one I think Eda was worried Serkan was going to snap and do something that might start Babs' Bolat revenge cycle again. For two, she just wants the love of her life to win and be calm. However, if anyone in that room didn't catch onto what happened there, that Eda and BigB leave and then come back a minute later and BigB has done a 180, I question their competence. *cough* Ferit *cough* He's just not the sharpest tool in the shed. However, obviously, Serkan knew. 

On another note, they've gotten pretty murky with the line between ArtLife and the holding.  Babaanne has 45% of the Holding, not ArtLife. Ferit has 5% of the holding, not ArtLife. So which company was working with the Prince?  Since it was a project to design a house, seems like that should be ArtLife? But Babs and Ferit seemed to think they had a vote which they shouldn't if it's ArtLife.  Who knows... whatever. 

Have you ever seen anything cuter than Eda in her coat and boots and protective helmet, leaning over, clutching her chest, exhausted after climbing all those stairs?  I mean she's an adorable bean just bent over and huffing and puffing, but the fact that she just climbed up goodness knows how many flights of stairs (judging by that view, an impossible number, but we'll allow it) just to see Serkan?  We giggle at her excuse that she did that because he gave her too much work. Eda, he's not going to buy that, luckily none of us want him to buy it. These two, they can't stay away from each other. Ever. She was also probably worried after the foreman told her he'd been up there for hours. Again, I think she's concerned that she's pushed him too far. So now she's in Serkan's shoes after the first breakup. Navigating that push pull of wanting to be with him, but sticking to the decision to end it for his sake. 

It's nice to see that her claustrophobia was not "cured" after going up in the elevator with Serkan one-time. On her own, she's still not able to face it. I'm sure she could do it again with him, but there's more work to be done before she can face it without him. 

Serkan was surprisingly vulnerable in both his conversation with Engin and with Eda on the top of that skyscraper. Even just telling Engin he was too out of sorts to join him for lunch, tells us that while he knows what he's doing, he knows there's more to the story, but he's still hurting and unsettled after the breakup. Then, "I create to make people happy, but I myself can't be happy. It's strange." Oh Serkan. I think you ripped my heart out with that... Eda's too. 

Eda was so discombobulated by Serkan's attitude. Whatever she expected from him, his acceptance of the break up, wasn't it. His proposal that they be "friends" threw her and she looked so distressed when he said, "Everyone will live their own life." Alarm bells started going off for her, much as they did for him at the top of ep 19 when Eda said she was going to start living her life. She did NOT like the idea of Serkan Bolat out there living a life that didn't include her, lmao. 

It's crazy to me that Eda has a friend like Fifi, who probably breaks and enters for a living, and yet she chooses Melo for a clandestine operation. Come on, Eda, you got to choose the right person for the job, lmao. I also question Eda's choice of cat burglar wardrobe. Seemed a bit... restricting and flashy. Though her skin-tight, snakeskin breaking-and-entering dress and fashionable trespassing boots did make it easier to transition to fine dining and driving your man towards rambunctious breakup/makeup/jealousy sex.  Not much to say about the restaurant scenes. The prince is creepy af, and was that the most awkward dance.... ever? The looks back and forth between Edser were excellent, so much tension and longing and jealousy. But boy is it hard to watch a scene with Balca in it, ugh she makes my skin crawl and I don’t even like looking at her. Also the deliberate way the actress has chosen to speak is irritating. Anyway, we now know Balca is pretty much capable of anything, if she’s capable of essentially poisoning the man she thinks she loves. Yikes. Did Nana realize that Balca poisoned him? I have to believe she did, because him being sick seemed part of the plan. THEY'RE ALL FULL EVIL!!! .

One thing I don't believe is that Eda Yildiz would ever walk out of that restaurant with Serkan looking that bad. No way she leaves him to Balca's care, or anyone else's for that matter. Nope, regardless of who was watching she would have insisted on taking him to the doctor herself.  But I get they were setting up the plot, so they sacrificed that bit. 

These villains are really bad at driving a wedge between two people who love each other. AngryGran is all like, "I know a foolproof plan, let's put them in the same room and get 'em all riled up with jealousy, then make Serkan sick so Eda's worried, then I'll convince her to go check on him and let's see what happens!" LMAO. Cheers to you, dumbasses, you brought us a whole heaping plate full of S.E.X. They were really banking that Eda was going to fly off the handle and think that Serkan went from an allergic reaction to sexing up the new obsessed employee very quickly. It's great that they all underestimate Eda and Serkan's relationship and connection, that should continue to help Edser as long as these fools continue to meddle. 

Eda was, wait for it, LEGENDARY, in her smackdown of Balca. QUEEEEEEEN. I'll never be over the, "You can only be with a statue of Serkan, darling." BWAHAHAHAHA. Yes! Throw her creepy, inappropriate present back in her face. And Balca's gall asking Eda to leave and then continually lecture Eda that they'd broken up. That takes either big cajones or huge helpings of delusion, because Balca has very little information when it comes to their relationship, yet she's playing her hand like she knows it all and like she doesn't care what gets back to Serkan. However, got to hand it to Balca for keeping her composure once Eda saw through her little staged production, because her story was painfully weak. Let's say for real that you're at your boss's house, the boss is sick so you're hanging around downstairs by yourself just to make sure everything is okay. What's the problem with just... you know... wearing your outfit with a coffee stain?  Unless you had a massive big gulp sized coffee and poured it over your head, why even change? Don't you just... live with the stain? It's not like you're making a presentation to the board of directors in 5 minutes.  For the love of god you're sitting there and no one else is around. Weak alibi.  

Poor Serkan, he's just there trying to sleep off having his allergies maliciously triggered, and he completely misses out on the love of his life fighting for him downstairs. Oh how he would have loved to see that. But oh what a way to wake up, with Eda Yildiz standing over him, looking magnificent, and rousing him with a scolding tone. I've already talked about how HOT the jealousy and possessiveness was here, so I'll focus on the scene itself. 

Let’s talk about the fragman first. Due to the short production timeline of this show, when they create a trailer they're doing it from the dailies, not from the show itself. That part of the show usually hasn't even been edited yet so the fragman exists before the episode. That means often there are scenes or angles that appear in the fragman, but not in the episode. It happened bigtime with the shower scene in 19, it happened randomly with the fragman for 20, they showed that really great shot of heartbroken Serkan in red, but didn't show the full thing in the episode, (when giffing it I had to use the fragman) and here, several of the best shots of Eda and Serkan ripping each other's clothes off were in the fragman and didn't make the episode. We can live with it for a lonely Serkan shot, but it's quite a bait and switch in this instance. Especially when pretty much every member of the cast (except Hande, Kerem didn't post anything either, but he did appear in that IGlive where the cast mercilessly teased him about it) promoted the scene. Not cool. I realize that they're dealing with sensors and may have had to cut things in order to avoid fines and such, but then they probably should have found a way to release the uncut scene on the internet as I've read other Turkish shows have done and like they did with episode 13. If you're gonna put something like this in the fragman to entice viewers, and have the cast promote it, you need to be willing to deliver. Badly done on the part of both Fox and MF Yapim.

That being said, one of the great things about the tighter restrictions this show has to adhere to, is they really show the intimacy instead. On an American show, these characters would have started eating each other's faces off and then tumbled into bed. There is something very hot, though, about them just invading each other's space, breathing each other's scent, nose to nose, nose to neck, nose to cheek... without breaching. Plus we got to see him carry her to the bed... even if they darkened it to the point you can barely see. I saw enough. HOT. The scene was short, but more tantalizing than lots of love scenes I've seen.

I was sad she left while he still slept in the morning. For him not to feel her get out of bed, she must have worn him out! It really would have been nice to see them wake up together, but I'm sure that will come. Plus it gave us the tension filled scene in the office. The knocked over lamp in the background was a delicious detail. Things got rambunctious! I'm glad Eda got to return the sentiment that only she can touch him, if only Serkan had heard it! Another thing that would have made him so happy if only he knew about it.

Melo is all of us upon learning about their night of passion. She's a whole cheerleader for them, and I love it. 

The post-sex scenes at the office were amazing. For several seconds I thought that he really did think it was a dream. Panic started to set in until she admitted she'd had it too. Phew. No hiding for Eda. I'm glad he flirted, instead of getting offended, and that she was at least honest about there being something she needed to do before they could really be together. Eda also handled the office conversation with Balca well. Love that she didn't show any reaction to her claim about Paris, just wished her a good trip. I felt that deep breath she took before going into his office. Yes, girl, calm down before you march in and accuse him of something, good thing he immediately invited her. I just about melted at, "I don't want to argue... you're precious to me." Serkan is gradually learning how to head off her fits of pique. 

The proposal... I... just... okay... my heart... I need a minute... still not over it. 

It was perfect. She made a surprise for him!!!!  After he asked her for a surprise a few episodes ago she did it and surpassed even his wildest dreams. It was quite a surprise for us too! Thank you for not spoiling it, show!  Serkan has told Eda he loves her about 3 dozen different ways, he's made it clear how he feels and what he wants ("Eda Bolat, sounds nice."). There is no doubt that he was ready to propose the moment he felt she'd be receptive, so it was wonderful that she threw caution to the wind and did it. Both Serkan and the audience needed to see exactly how much she loves him, and this was a wonderful way to do that. It's pretty much the biggest thing she could have done.  Also for those of us in other parts of the world (I'm in the US) it might not be too out of the ordinary for a woman to propose, but from what I understand it's rare and possibly non-existent on Turkish shows. That's pretty cool.

Did you see his face!?!? He was so happy at first when he registered that she was actually standing in front of him and then just totally gobsmacked when he saw the rings and realized what was happening. As for Eda, she was just glowing. GLOWING. And don't even get me started on the plane. That trip on the day after they met is such an important part of their love story and the call back here is wonderful. The first time around he thought she was there for him, this time he can't believe that she's there for him.  

Can't wait to see the way the full conversation/proposal plays out, do ya'll think he'll say yes? (hee)

Mini Robot - Ch2

Summary:Eda really hated it when Serkan was right. 

She was pregnant with his child and she had no idea how she was going to handle it.

                                                  Chapter Two

Eda wasn’t sure what she was going to do but she knew she had to tell Serkan before she made a decision. 

She had so many plans for her life and being a single mother wasn’t one of them.

Then again she had started planning a future with Serkan. 

Not that it mattered anymore. He cared more for work than he did her. 

Which brings her right back to how does she tell him that he was right? 

If she considers his behavior, the hovering, the micromanaging he would want a say in this. He would be there. 

The thing was she didn’t want Serkan to be in her life because he felt obligated. She wanted him to be there cause he needed her there. 

Not because they had a child that would forever tie them together. 

Then there were their families to consider. His parents, Seyfi, the girls, her aunt-

Oh God, her aunt!

She was going to freak out!

Maybe she could not tell her until she couldn’t hide it. 

This pregnancy would be looked down upon. She was unmarried and pregnant with a man’s child whom she was not married to. It was considered disgraceful in upstanding families. 

She could only imagine what the Bolat’s were going to think.  

She could always go to Italy and she would have the baby before her aunt knew about it. Still, her aunt would eventually find out the truth. 

No, she couldn’t do that. To her aunt or Serkan. 

Eda ran her hands through her hair before falling back on her bed. 

“What are we going to do Mini Robot?” She rested her hands on her stomach lightly. “Our first priority should be seeing a doctor. I’ll call for an appointment first thing tomorrow.” 

Eda fell silent, thinking about if she chose to end the pregnancy would she regret it or if she chose to have the child but gave it up. 

What problems would this cause with her aunt? Aunt Ayfer hated the Bolat’s so much and with prejudice that Eda didn’t always understand.  

Her chest tightened in pain at either option. No, already, she felt something for the child growing inside of her. It didn’t matter if it complicated her life. It was hers. 

A piece of her, a piece of Serkan. She couldn’t give that up. 

She wasn’t sure where she was going to go from here. 

What she did know was that her every plan and dream from this point on would include her child and the small life growing inside of her would be her priority.   

More so this child would be the most important person in her life. 

                                                   ~*~ ~*~ ~*~ 

Eda was glad she had yet to hit the morning sickness stage as she dug into breakfast with her aunt and Ceren. She had called the doctor first thing in the morning and they were able to get her in as early as tomorrow. She would have to ask Efe for a free hour but she was sure he wouldn’t mind. 

Efe was the opposite of Serkan. So easy going. It was never a struggle dealing with him, unlike Serkan who she swore she had to fight every step of the way. He was so damn difficult. Sometimes she couldn’t stand it.

“what’s happening? What’s this rush?” Ayer asked, watching as she and Ceren ate their food quickly.  

“Business life has made us like this, sister Ayfer. Do you know what I calculated the other day?” Ceren questioned, sitting across from them. “There’s ten minutes between lunch and going back to work. Ten, minutes. On top of that, we also have to work on weekends.” 

“Oh, poor you,” Ayfer said in mock sympathy with a smile.  

“I don’t have ambition like that.” Eda took another bite of her food. “I’m just very hungry.” 

It was understandable she was feeding for two now. 

“Enjoy it, my love.” Ayfer smiled.  

“Fifi?” Eda asked, seeing her dark-haired friend appear in the doorway. “Tell me that you took care of it.”  

Fifi pulled a bag from behind her. “shame on you. Did you ever witness me failing?”  

Eda accepted the bag from Fifi as she took a seat next to Ceren. “You’re amazing!” 

“What’s that?” Ayfer asked as Eda placed the bag down on her other side of her out of her aunt's reach. “What’s happening?” 

“It’s nothing important, Auntie,” Eda assured. “I’m working on a project. Thanks, Fifi, she took care of it for me. “  

“What’s that?” Ayfer asked again, reaching for it. 

“No,” Eda told her, keeping the bag out of her reach.  

“Fine,” Ayfer said reluctantly though still terribly curious about just what her niece was up to now. 

Eda's phone buzzed on the table. She recognized the number immediately. 

“who’s that?” Ayfer asked as Eda grabbed her phone, stepping away from the table to take the call. 

“Miss Eda?” Seyfi's voice greeted her. 

“Mr. Seyfi?” Eda stared out at the window. 

“Mrs. Aydan is asking about if you’ll come, when you’ll come, and what the surprise is.” Seyfi inquired. 

“Tell her this: I’ll come when I’m done with my breakfast,” Eda replied. “The rest is a surprise.”  

Things might have been beyond complicated with Serkan but Eda would not go back on her word to Aydan. She was determined to help the older woman. 

“Thank you,” Seyfi said and ended the call. 

“Who were you talking to?” Ayfer asked Eda as she came back over.  

“No one,” Eda answered, grabbing her bag and walking around the table.  

“You’re still seeing them, aren’t you?” Ayfer asked accusingly, referring to the Bolat’s. 

“Are you listening to my calls, auntie?” Eda questioned leveling a narrowed eye look on her aunt. 

“No,” Ayfer answered then continued. “I mean, why are you seeing Aydan? Like what are you guys doing? Why?” 

“Because I promised something to Mrs. Aydan and I want to keep my promise. We always keep our promises! You’ve said that.” Eda reminded her pointedly.  

“Alright. I shall come too.” Ayfer replied, seeing she would not be able to convince Eda not to go over to the Bolat's anymore. “I’d like to see Mrs. Aydan, too.”  

“Auntie, I’m not a little girl anymore. Are you aware of this?” Eda asked, sending her aunt a look of exasperation. She did not need her aunt’s eyes watching her constantly. 

If there was how her aunt was acting now, she could only imagine how she would be once she knew of the Mini Robot Bolat growing inside of her.   

“No, you’re not a little girl.” Ayfer agreed. “You’re very much a grown-up.”  

However, Ayfer stood determined not to leave her niece alone with Bolat’s. Specifically Serkan Bolat. 

Ceren and Fifi started laughing at Ayfer and Eda’s exchange once the two were gone. 

                                                  ~*~ ~*~ ~*~ 

Eda went to the Bolat’s with her aunt and while her aunt took a tour of the garden, she went on a virtual tour of London with Aydan. She had made Aydan promise that in return for her help, she was not allowed to mention anything about Serkan. 

Which was good because she did not wish to think about him. It only made her stressed about what she was going to do and she was still so uncertain about her future. Adding Serkan only muddled her mind further as it were. 

She was surprisingly enjoying her time with Aydan up to the point when she heard his voice saying her name. 

“Eda.” 

She really hated how he said her name sometimes. It called to her, making her aware of him on another magnitude. 

Eda turned but did not remove the VR glasses. “Shh.” she shushed him. “Don’t.”  

“What are you doing?” Serkan questioned.  

“Be quiet. We have come to one of Shakespeare’s plays with your mother.” Eda told him. “Don’t disturb us please.”  

“Are you serious?” Serkan asked and she could hear the incredulity in his voice. 

She fought back a smile, hoping she was driving him crazy. After all, he made her crazy most of the time. It was only fair that she had the same effect on him. 

“You are really crazy. I used to deal with crazy people in the office, now I also deal with crazy people at home.” Eda heard Serkan mutter followed by the sound of his fading footsteps. 

He may have walked away but Eda felt his presence surround her, she moved a hand to her stomach. still, conflicted about how and when to tell him about the baby.  

                                                       ~*~ ~*~ ~*~ 

Eda looked through her dresses, trying to find an outfit for tonight she lined three dresses on her bed. 

“Going to a party?” Ayfer inquired, walking into her room.  

“Only co-partners would join but they want to see me, too. It may be because I looked after their children.” Eda explained, sitting down in her desk chair. 

“You will landscape for them, too right?” Asked Ayfer.  

“I will but since I haven’t started yet, it can not be counted,” Eda answered.  

“You have this way about you that influences everyone. Don’t forget this and don’t let anyone take it from you.” Ayfer told her.  

Eda smiled, her aunt's belief in her never failed to make her feel good. “I love you so much.”  

Ayfer smiled back. “Love you, too.” 

Eda looked at the dresses again. “Which one?” 

“Which one?” Ayfer looked the dresses over for a moment. “I think the blue one.” 

Eda frowned and looked at her aunt. “Serkan bought it.” 

Ayfer eyes narrowed. “So blue one to spite him.”  

“To spite him?” Eda asked intrigued.  

“Yes. Spite” Ayfer confirmed. “Also blue protects you from evil eyes.”  

“Let me think,” Eda said, not certain she wanted to wear something Serkan gave her. She wanted to move away from her feelings for him and it was harder to down more than it ever was. 

“There is nothing to think about. Wear it. And then go.” Ayfer insisted and left the room. 

Eda looked at the dress and slowly smiled. She imagined Serkan seeing her in the dress, the way his mouth would part in surprise, his eyes darkening in desire.

She would wear it and she would knock Serkan’s socks off. Besides, it was better she got the chance to wear it now before she would no longer be able to. 

In a few month's time, she was going to need a whole new wardrobe.

                                                     ~*~ ~*~ ~*~ 

Eda walked into the party and saw Serkan was in a discussion with Ferit, Emre, and Asli. Eda was pleased that Serkan noticed her immediately. She slipped by, slipping off her coat, and joined the others, relishing in the way Serkan tracked her every movement. 

“Eda, you look great today.” Piril complimented.  

“This is your beauty.” Eda smiled.  

“Yes, Eda. You really look very pretty.” Ferit told her.   

“This is your beauty.” Eda smiled at him.   

“Thanks.” Ferit ducked his head. “What will you drink? 

“Engin drinks coffee.” Piril glared at the man in question. “Lately, he only drinks coffee.” 

“I’ll take soda.” Eda excused herself to get her drink. She wasn’t sure what had Piril so angry but the redhead was shooting daggers at Engin. 

She brushed past Serkan on her way to the kitchen and barely spared him a glance when she came back with her drink feeling his eyes on her. 

She went to stand on the terrace, enjoying the night air. Serkan’s constant gaze was making her skin feel hot. 

“Hey.” Serkan joined her out on the terrace. “What are you drinking?”  

“Soda water.” Eda sent him a hard look, raising her chin defiantly.  

Was he still trying to micromanage what she consumed?

Serkan’s eyes drifted slowly over her body before coming to rest back on her face. “Did you wear this dress on purpose?” 

“Aunt chose,” Eda told him, raising her chin defiantly.  

“What will happen to us, Eda?” Serkan asked, stepping closer. “We are constantly together in the same places.”  

“The same thing that happened before,” Eda replied.  

“A lot has happened up to this point.” Serkan reminded her.  

“Are you afraid of what will happen again, Serkan?” Eda challenged, glaring. 

“Aren’t you afraid?” Serkan questioned. “I do not understand. Why are you working with us? There are so many other places.”  

“I work with Efe.” Eda reminded him pointedly. “And Efe works with you. Coincidence.”  

Serkan shook his head. “I don’t believe in coincidences.”  

“Then what among all these people … you talk to me - this is also not a coincidence, but a choice.” Eda pointed out.  

“I have questions for you,” said Serkan.  

“There is one answer to all your questions.” Eda pushed away from the entryway. “Stay away from me.”  

Eda walked away, shaking her head. She needed him to keep his distance until she was ready to tell him and then she didn’t know what would happen next. All she knew was that no matter Serkan’s reaction to her news, her child was her main concern. 

She could feel Serkan’s eyes on her back and she forced herself not to look back at him. 

She rejoined the others and leaned against the wall next to Piril who was arguing with Engin but it wasn’t long before Serkan joined them much to her annoyance. 

“Let’s do this now. You will do whatever I say. You will listen to everything I say. Whether it suits you or not, you will do everything, Engin.” Piril was saying. 

“Good. You’re right about everything!” Engin agreed. “Okay. But she agreed to have coffee. If I don’t even go out for coffee …” 

“What are you saying? Will you drink coffee with her?” Serkan grinned widely, nudging his friend in the arm. “Engin, you’re back.”  

Piril sighed, tiredly. 

Eda saw the laughing grin on Serkan’s face and his playful guy ribbing with Engin and it rattled her nerves further. “Serkan, why are you so happy?” she said suddenly, glaring at him. “Did you miss the old days?”  

Serkan’s smile faded and Eda looked away from him, forcing the negative emotions she was feeling away.

“You said something. Go on.” Piril told Engin, her anger coming off her in waves.   

“No, it’s simple. She agreed to have coffee with me,” said Engin, surprised.  

Piril nods. 

“Oh, this means that it is necessary to somehow accomplish this? Otherwise, it will be ugly. Very ugly. What should I do?” Engin asked. 

“Take her on a date. Moreover, I will pay. Go on the date.” Piril was growing angrier by the minute.  

“What kind of date?” Engin asked.  

“You will also put on your suit.” Piril said. “Don’t start again!” 

“Engin, can we step out?” Serkan asked. “Let’s go outside. There are important topics.”  

“There are more important topics,” Piril told Engin with a sharp look before he could take a step to follow Serkan.  

Engin leaned into her. “You become very beautiful when you are angry.” 

Serkan stood nearby impatiently.  

“I’m on my way brother,” Engin said, moving out onto the terrace with Serkan.  

Peril laughed. “I laugh with anger.” she looked over at Eda next to her with a forced smile. “What happened?”  

Eda shakes her head pushing off the wall, brushing past Piril. She did not know how Piril allowed the conversation to move out of her control. 

“What happened? Did something happen?” Piril called after no one in particular. “Did you hear?”

Eda walked up the steps, heading for the upstairs bathroom. 

She used the bathroom and washed her hands. 

She stared at herself in the mirror. She took a step back, staring at her flat stomach, picturing what she would look like with her stomach rounded with the Mini Robot she was growing inside of her. 

She closed her eyes smoothing her hand across her stomach and behind her closed eyelids despite her anger and her conflicted emotions she pictured Serkan standing behind her his arms embracing her from behind, hands resting on their child growing in her womb, his face buried in her neck, his smiling lip pressed against her skin.

Engin stepped out onto the terrace with Serkan. “What did you do? Was able to speak with Mr. Emre?”

Serkan nods. “We got the job.” 

Engin’s face broke out into a wide smile. “What are you saying?! This is great news!” he threw his arms around Serkan. “Great news!”

Serkan clapped him on the back and eased Engin off him. “Yes, a little… Calm down a bit, don’t show it. Don’t show that you are happy.”  

“What is this? What kind of cool behavior? What happened?” Engin questioned Serkan's subdued behavior. “Of course I will be happy. We got the job.”  

“Well, there will be more surprises,” said Serkan.  

“Are you kidding? I became a partner of the best man in the world!” Engin praised. 

Serkan looked inside at Efe. “If only I could say the same about Efe.”  

“Does it have to do with Efe and Eda’s proximity?” Questioned looking inside for the pair in question. He saw Efe but no Eda. 

 “No.” Serkan shook his head and repeated. “No.”  

It was true that he did not like Efe and Eda working so closely together. He was easily jealous when it came to Eda. She was just so beautiful and easy to love. He did not want any man falling in love with his brightest, beautiful star.

However, his reasoning for disliking Efe was more than that. He didn’t know the man’s true intentions and his instincts told him the man could not be trusted. His instincts were telling him Efe Akman could not be trusted and Serkan has always listened to his instincts. It has never led him wrong before. 

Suddenly there’s a rumble and the house shakes, followed by the sounds of something collapsing, looking to the stairs of the second floor, dust and smoke kick up, sweeping down the downstairs. 

“Roof.” Engin was in disbelief.  

Asly turned to her husband alarmed. “Emre.” 

Piril gasped suddenly, whipping around to Serkan. “Eda!”

Instantly Serkan forgot everything else. “What about her? Where is she?” He looked around the room but he could not see her. 

“She went upstairs!” Piril exclaimed, voice filled with urgency. 

Gasps of shock and exclamations were uttered at this revelation. 

A spike of fear rolled down Serkan’s spine, his eyes going back to the stairs and he broke out into a run, skipping the stairs two at a time, screaming for Eda. 

“Brother it could be unsafe.” Engin protested, concerned filling him. 

“Eda!” Serkan screamed echoed throughout the house as his voice filtered down from the second floor. “Eda!!”

Episode 14: RoBo is back!

Well, this is dizi land, did we actually expect that Serkan will say it to Eda? (I kinda did)

Anyway

I’ll start with other people first:

I really like Engin and Piril. I don’t know, I somehow root for Piril because I feel like there’s so much potential with her character growth. And it’s so adorable that they actually went on a date (weird scoring system with the bowling thing but whatever). Also, niiiice one with the sleep over 😉

For some reason, I love that Serkan said that Piril was one of his friends too (“Engin, Piril, and Sirius”). I don’t know, I really hope we see more of this friendship

Selin and Eda / Selin and Melo are the friendships we need right now! I hope these develops further, truly

Selin and Ferit. What a heartbreaker. The change in just 2(!!!!!) days is crazy between the two but oh well, hope they work it out as professional people at least because...

Ceren and Ferit!!! Our poor little rich kids. Lol at least they have a common ground but I do hope they won’t jump into it too soon though. FeRen or CeRit FTW!!!

Okay, EdSer. I have nothing left to say but this episode is so beautiful and heartbreaking. Kerem and Hande really did a good job 👏🏼

What I Want to See Next Episode:

I’m waffling between Eda taking the high road and not showing Serkan how much he hurt her, and Eda violently shaking Serkan to tell her what’s up with him

Efe turning out to be a genuinely nice guy (okay look, for Serkan to really be threatened, Efe needs to be a legitimate contender for Eda)

Sad boi, pining Serkan (which I’m sure we’ll get for a couple of eps. Bring it on!)

Sen Çal Kapımı Episode 14 aka The 5 Stages of Grief

This week brought us another SCK episode which was in one word just good. I had a lot of problems with and while watching the previous episode last week. There were so many questions to editing and the overall pace. I am no expert but even to my untrained eye the episode this week was easier and more pleasant to watch. However, for all the things I liked (which I will get to very soon) after rewatching the episode with the subs I am also left a bit disappointed. But let's start on the positive note.

The things I loved / liked:

☑️ Edser: even with this inevitable doom over their heads they're gorgeous, aren't they?

I love the consistency of the way they hold hands - palm to palm, entwining their fingers; not sure if this is the writers' decision or it was Kerem and Hande's acting choice or it's completely unconscious - whatever, it gives me all the feelings;

loved the gifts exchange and the choice of the gifts was so Edser; I know that Serkan's gift wasn't the most original or symbolic but it actually showed how attentive and attuned to Eda he is; he notices what she likes; a small moment when Eda said that there's nowhere she could wear such a dress and Serkan just easily responded with something like "We will find somewhere to go so you can wear this dress" - made me swoon 🥰 ; and then Eda's gift to Serkan - simple, may even seem silly and not functional but it's so Eda; because just like that world lamp it carries a meaning, it makes us and most importantly - Serkan - smile and laugh;

the next very important Edser moment is at the office terrace when Eda was planting flower seeds; I am not sure I got it right (feel free to correct me if you are a Turkish native speaker and I got lost in translation 🙂) but I think Eda said those were rose seeds; even if those were the seeds of some other flowers it's still very symbolic because flowers in general represent natural beauty and something devine; of course each individual flower has its unique meaning which can also differ depending on the colour (take roses for one: ⚪ roses mean purity and holiness, 💛 symbolise wisdom and joy while ❤️ roses are the representation of passion and sacrifice); roses in general symbolise God at work, the scent of these flowers makes us think about powerful sweetness of love, which is the essence of God; I think love is the first thing that comes to mind when we think about or see roses; so if Eda was indeed planting the seeds of roses it's very fitting because, as Eda said it herself, that very place is where everything started, where her and Serkan's love story began; plus these flowers have a very special and personal value - they represent Eda's connection with and love for her mom;

I loved seeing Eda open up to Serkan about her family, tell him her real last name... although it was bittersweet because we know how this conversation only served to cut Serkan more from the inside;

and speaking of Serkan - oh my god, the way he was looking at her in this episode 😭 we have seen a lovesick smitten look on him before but it's different now; it's painful longing; it's almost like he was committing her to his memory, wanted to imprint her looking at him with smiles and love ; because he believes that he doesn't deserve any of it and once she knows the truth she will never look at him the same way ever again;

I loved a bit of light-hearted moment between Edser in Serkan's office when they discussed evening plans and Eda suggested going to the cinema; Serkan's reaction - 👀; our boy is so social phobic 🙈😆; I love how Eda is showing him and teaching him these simple joys of life which he, unfortunately, never experienced;

and the cinema date itself - perfect; Serkan Bolat actually eating popcorn? - the planet must have gone off its axes🤣🤣🤣 Serkan asking Eda to put her head on his shoulder - swoon; his small kiss on her head - double swoon; him noticing her crying and trying to wipe away her tears - triple swoon; and finally - after the film, when he said that he would love to have the kind of machine they had seen in the film, the one that could erase bad memories, and he would love that for her, to relieve Eda from the pain of her past - I officially turned into a puddle on the floor after this;

I absolutely loved that throughout the episode Eda was very much attuned to Serkan; she immediately noticed that something was off about him; however, she wasn't pushy, she gave him space and time, she was waiting for him to talk to her when he was ready; her noticing his injured hand within the first millisecond and not believing him when tried to make up something involving Sirius - her stern "Are you really gonna feed me this crap?" look was priceless and his immediate surrender was even better 😏;

comments about Serkan's magic hands gave me all kinds of dirty thoughts 🙈😆🤣

and finally - Eda kissing Serkan's neck; it may seem a bit bold because, I think, neck kisses are considered a more sensual kind of kisses but Eda made it not about passion and desire, she managed to turn it into a show of her deep love instead and also forgiveness for Serkan's earlier outburst;

☑️ 5 stages of grief:

Call it a coincidence but just this week, on Monday, I posted a fic featuring future Edser where I actually wrote Serkan going through these stages. Fifi mentioned them as well in the episode. And finally - we got to see Serkan at very stage in this episode. Of course in reality it doesn't go like this - in just one or two days. If only that were true. But we all understand that we're dealing with fiction here so the process had to be accelerated.

As Meredith Grey once said: "There are five stages of grief. They look different on all of us. But there are always five".

1 - denial: we witnessed Serkan's denial after seeing the documents that his parents showed him; even Aydan said something like this to Alptekin: "He's just found out about it, of course he's going to try and deny it";

the moment in Serkan's office when he said to Eda that they should run away, disappear, just the two of them - another attempt at denying, it's him trying to ignore this; the cinema date - a small fleeting moment of escape where they could be a normal couple enjoying a movie together, eating popcorn and cuddling;

2 - anger: the very first scene with Serkan and his parents when they came to check on him - he lost his temper and yelled at them demanding that they bring him the damn files because he needed to see everything with his own eyes; in that very scene he almost broke a coffee table but ended up smashing the world lamp that Eda got him; let's talk about symbolism here for a moment - Serkan's whole world is smashed into pieces right now, just like this lamp;

another small depiction of his anger - after his date with Eda he slammed his first into the poor coffee table and did break it cutting his hand in the process;

his passive-aggressive behaviour towards Efe and finally losing it and snapping at Eda;

3 - bargaining: the conversation with Eda at the terrace in the office and asking about letting go of the past and if she had ever considered forgiving her grandmother; him trying to talk to her - he even wanted to do this when they went to the cinema; him trying to make up for his shitty behaviour and coming to her house with flowers and every intention of telling her the truth;

4 - depression: there were small snippets of it - when he broke the coffee table and didn't even flinch; when he was sitting on the counter in the office and telling Engin everything; him walking out of his office after the terrace conversation - you can see the heartbreak written all over his face; him mentioning to Engin that this secret was eating at him and how Eda's kindness and goodness were killing him;

5 - acceptance: the first step I think was made during that fight when Serkan said to Eda that "loneliness is better for someone like him anyway" and then just walked away; in that moment he seemed resigned to this fate - of being forever alone; then of course overhearing Eda and Ceren's talk about Eda's grandmother; and finally - the breakup scene where Serkan was completely resigned, he had realised and accepted that there's no winning for him in this situation and in his mind he had chosen the lesser of two evils;

I believe that we will see a bit more of Serkan's resigned acceptance next week but in this episode I think we walked through all of the stages;

☑️ Engin: love what a great friend he is - he immediately noticed that something was bothering Serkan; he patiently listened to Serkan (also loved that Serkan shared this with Engin instead of keeping all of it to himself), genuinely empathized and said how both Serkan and Eda didn't deserve this shit; I also love that Engin urged Serkan to be honest and tell Eda everything and pointed out that Eda deserved to know the truth;

love how he doesn't let Serkan get away with anything, just like in that scene in Serkan's office - after Serkan's fight with Eda, in the evening Engin finds Serkan in his office and when Serkan says "don't say anything" Engin is like "sorry, bro, but I will" and he did tell him that it was a shitty thing to do - saying all those things to Eda; but he also managed to remain understanding and wasn't pressuring Serkan too much or yelling at him that he had acted as an a*hole;

also loved Engin's silent support to Eda after Serkan's outburst;

while I don't really care about Engin's romantic entanglements with Pırıl the moment during brunch when he basically shut Pırıl up by feeding her something was really funny 😆;

☑️ The Girls: loved the scene where Eda tells the girls that Serkan was going to Italy with her and how he had already bought a house and rented an office there; their genuine happiness for her and their support of each other never seizes to amaze me;

the scene in the evening with all of the girls lying in a circle and telling how their day had gone - another testament to how beautiful this female gang is;

☑️ a series of smaller moments:

Eda hanging a new picture of Serkan on the wall and drawing a ❤️ on it with a red💄- this girl is so in love 😏😁;

Eda / Selin ripping Selin's wedding dress together - a great bonding moment;

Melek showing Selin her support at the brunch;

Aydan tending to and dressing Serkan's hand and telling him her own love story - a nice mother/son moment;

Seyfi spotting Serkan's picture and the star certificate in Eda's room - his genuine happiness for Edser gives me life, he definitely is the captain of this ship 🚢💟🕺🤝💪😎 ;

I love the list of Serkan's friends: Engin (he's numero uno because he's Yoda Diggle 🙈😆), Pırıl and Sirius (btw, where the hell is Sirius??? Mom & Dad are fighting again, you better drag your ass over here so you and Seyfi can help them make up)

The things I didn't like / was annoyed with:

🚩Selin: I am not saying she has no right to be angry with Ferit; what he did wasn't nice but she was ready to dump him any moment and I am sure had Serkan whistled at her while she was at the wedding table, she would have run to him then and there; so I think she should get off her high horse and stop being so freaking selfish; she has to take responsibility for her own actions and instead of demanding something from Ferit (like leaving the holding, not coming to the Art Life office) try apologizing to the man for being a bitch of cosmic proportions;

the cutting of the pictures scene - way to go girl if that's your kind of therapy; but the moment when she stumbled upon some pictures of herself and Serkan and left them untouched - god, give me a break; still being hang up on the man who clearly doesn't love you and probably never loved you, the man who, as you claimed yourself, you were never happy with... I don't know but it wouldn't have hurt if the writers had made her love and respect herself a bit more;

what's with that face after having overheard the conversation between the girls in the restroom? she looked as if she had heard them bad-mouthing her while there had been nothing negative said about her and the focus of the conversation had been on Ceren and Ferit;

🚩Ceren and Ferit: the thing with them has been developing kinda unevenly; while I enjoyed their first meeting and running into each other at the office in the previous episode, in this episode there was too much of them and the tone of their scenes almost gave me a whiplash; Ceren's passive-aggressive behaviour over the phone and near the office was just weird, the brunch interactions - awkward at first and then everything ended with Ceren being all sweet and supportive 👀;

🚩while I liked the scene where Selin and Eda were ripping Selin's wedding dress together and didn't like how they ended the scene: when Eda saw the pictures of Selin and Serkan together; I know it's not pleasant to see the pictures of the man you love with his ex while at the said ex's house after having helped her rip her wedding dress... but it's not a good enough reason to turn hostile and cold; and while Eda was not hostile, the look she gave Selin made me think I had forgotten to close the window in the room 🥶;

🚩 Aydan: I know that her heart-felt story was meant to make her likeable but it actually made me understand her even less; for a woman who was in love, who fell in love with someone who wasn't from a wealthy family - and to give Eda so much crap how she was not the right fit for their family; of course that was something she said at the very beginning, in the first episodes but it still annoys me;

and that unspoken advice that she kinda sorta gave to Serkan - really??? what kind of advice is that??? maybe I got it wrong but did she actually advice her son to just carry this burden on his own? did she mean it was okay to disappear into thin air without so much as a goodbye???👀🙄🤯

🚩 Pırıl and Engin: while their bowling date was kinda cute I didn't like Engin's comment about him wanting to boast in front of his friends that he finally "got the girl" so to speak; and Pırıl's initial reaction to bowling was a bit extra;

🚩Efe: liked his new hairstyle, the man looked smoaking hot🔥but☝️he is becoming more and more shady; it's like he's doing nothing wrong, he's being polite and friendly, learning things about the staff and organising brunch but it seems like he's trying too hard and there's something behind of all this; also - I see what you did there with Ferit and all that shares talk, very subtle 🧐🕵️;

There was nothing I hated but there's something I was disappointed with:

💔 Serkan not telling Eda the truth; I understand the motives and we saw the struggle and how he came to this difficult decision through all those stages of grief; however, I feel disappointed that the writers decided to go down this beaten path; I think I had a tiny sliver of hope that they would surprise us so I was sorry to see this story becoming predictable like many others; this won't, however, stop me from loving these imperfect characters and this imperfect show; sorry not sorry but "Deli gibi aşık oldum" 😊😍

I love how when Serkan holds Eda's hand he interlocks their fingers.

"You said you would wait." "That was 30 minutes ago. 30 minutes is a long time." OMG Serkan 🤣🤣

The cheek kisses and his face!! I cannot with this ridiculously adorable man!🥰🥰🥰🥺🥺🥺

Serkan on the phone with Eda, all the smiles!😍😍

And telling Aydan that Selin can do what she wants!!! Yes boy yes!!!

Seyfi knowing full well what kept Serkan away from Selin!

I still do not understand how quickly Ayfer turned on Serkan. Yes, she is protective of Eda, and yes she wants Eda to finish her education, but this is crazy. She went from helping Serkan with the flowers and believing them both to be falling in love, to doing everything she can to keep Serkan and Eda apart.

Eda has been doing better with her fainting, i find it interesting that most of the fainting incidents happen when her aunt is around, stressing her out.

He can't concentrate on work because of Eda!! And she can't cause of Serkan! I mean who can blame her, he's very distracting 🔥🔥🔥

I'm totally in favor of Ceren and Pyril being friends.

I'm glad Selin realized that she was miserable with Serkan and that she was chasing after a dream. I wish I could say I was sorry for her, but I'm not. It's all on her.

But god for Ferit to hear all of that? That he is not her beloved, that she was willing to call things off to be with Serkan. 💔💔😭😭 She deserves what is coming to her.

I like this interaction of Ceren and Ferit, I wouldn't be opposed to them together. But let's face it I just want Ferit to be happy and have someone who loves him. The worst thing you can accuse him of is being naive, about Kaan and Selin. He's a sweet, good man who needs someone who loves him like he loves them.

Selin really sold her shares to Efe...well that should make things difficult and interesting for everyone.

I can't say I feel sorry for Selin, she got what she deserved. Now of course to see how this will effect Eda and Serkan.

Okay so Eda still needs to tell the girls the truth! Even with Ayfer knowing, the girls still need to know. Especially Melo, because she had such a sweet relationship with Serkan!

Obviously we will be dealing with the huge news that the holding is responsible for Eda's parent's death.

Alptekin says he's going to tell Serkan...I know from pictures we've seen from set that they were filming in a hospital. So I'm thinking that Alptekin wants to/tries to tell Serkan and ends up having a heart attack or something from all the stress of finding our the truth.

This will of course delay Serkan hearing the truth, because I still think that Efe, now that he has 50% (or is it 45% because Feirt's shares came from Selin's?) of the company shares, is going to be the one to spill the beans. He's either going to tell Eda, or Serkan or both of them together. Which will cause it's own issues.

I really hope we get to see Grandma and that we find out exactly why Ayfer has become so anti-Serkan. It just doesn't seem normal.

And of course there will be the drama and fallout of Ferit leaving Selin at the wedding. Serkan will comfort Selin and talk to her, but we already know his heart belongs to Eda, completely.

Also next episode I better see my baby boy Sirius! He needs a chance to celebrate that Mom and Dad are staying together! That all his hard work guilting Serkan paid off!

I loved how much smiling, laughing, happy and flirty Serkan we got!!! More of this please please please!!!!!🥺🥺🥺🥺😍😍😍😍

Episode 28 Thoughts

-The way Serkan was so scared and relieved to find her! That hug held so much love and longing!

-That envelope is going to cause problems and I’m not liking it.

-They are intertwined like never before while discussing the wedding! I love it! The tension between Ayfer and Aidan will always get me laughing!

-YASSSS! Bye Balca, I swear I get so annoyed with Serkan not telling people off like Selin and Balca but when he does, IT’S SO WORTH IT! He tells them off straight, no holding back! Those moments are really worth putting up with their annoying schemes!

-Melo-eniste saying I love you had my heart!

-Ferit/Ceren and Serkan/Eda couple talk! Lol Serkan was ready to strangle Ferit for bringing up the trip!

-Pyril/Ceren being mad at Engin/Ferit was a sight to see!

-THESE MEN ARE IDIOTS. Like there is no hope for them. There is not a single brain cell in between the three of them.

-They are like 3 year old kids, I cannot with them! TALK YOUR SHIT OUT!

-Not Erdem inviting himself to this trip but tricking both Engin and Serkan!

-They are so miserable without the girls, I love it!

-THEY ARE SO IN LOVE. And I’m in love with them. Every single moment of this trip to Sapanca is precious and beautiful.

-Poor Erdem, I really felt bad for him!

-THE WHOLE MODELING CONTEST THING WAS HILARIOUS! The way the boys reacted to the contest to Melo telling on them to Serkan placing the blame on Ferit and the girls revenge! SUCH A FUNNY SCENE! It’s moments like this that remind me why I love this show! It’s comedic nature always reminds of what made me love the show!

-The Aidan-Ayfer-Seyfi heart to heart was so precious!

-The apology scene with Erdem is top tier! I swear they give me life! And the BATHTUB SCENE WAS 🔥🔥🔥

-Aydan-Eda scene was so precious! They’ve come so far!

-My heart literally is broken. I cannot handle the last scene. They were so happy and ready to get married and spend their lives together. They deserved better. I deserved better. I will never forgive anyone for taking away their happiness! My heart literally hurts for Eda. After every loss she has suffered, to finally see the light and find happiness only for it to be taken away. I cannot imagine. And my heart broke for Aidan too. To experience a loss of another child. I cannot think in words. I just can’t.

Overall: I LOVED THE EPISODE! It was funny and light hearted filled with precious moments between all the characters! After everything EdSer have been through, they deserved to be together and happy! I can already tell the next few episodes are going to hurt and I’m not ready! But I love EdSer and I love their love so I will pull through for them only!

Rambling Review Episode 31

If I came to this world 100 times, I would fall in love with you a 100 times all over again

This is what we need to remember, its a love story between two soulmates, not about Serkan getting his memories back first.

So...it was better than 30 but still some tough scenes to watch and very little time spent on the two main characters, Eda and Serkan

We see Serkan listening to the radio and its all about Eda’s surprise engagement and saying ‘is there no other news in the country’, I am hoping this is the writers throwing shade at the paps who relentlessly pursue Kerem and ask him brainless questions!

Engin, Erden and Pryl discussing the baby and doctors appointment, Erden and Engin crying about it, loved this scene!

We see Eda putting her game into action...making Serkan jealous.  She knows exactly how to do that, make it look like there is another man interested in her and sending her gifts. And it works, he keeps telling her to act professionally at work, but really its his heart reacting to her and he does not even realise it.  I loved Eda calling him out for staring at her, he is really intrigued by her.

Serkan not remembering Melos name was heartbreaking, they used to have such a close relationship.

Sirius is the star of the show and the excuse Serkan has always used when he needed to get close to Eda, which is the reason he turned up at Deniz’s cafe during the day. He just cant stay away from her and doesn’t  realise his heart is ruling him as he does not know what love feels like, he never had that with Seline. 

Eda are you happy

Eda: Serkan, you, me and Sirius we were a family  that no one could destroy.  Serkan: Did I destroy this love?  Eda: Yes you destroyed it

Tough words to hear, and ones that I am sure will haunt Serkan

The chaos that goes on at Edas house when the two sides of the family meet is always funny and this was no exception, Serkan getting slapped by Aidan, “He does nothing, only drives us crazy’ and Eda agrees! 

Its troubling Serkan why Eda never told him about Deniz...someone is jealous

‘Who’s love was better, Serkan or Deniz?” Of course we know who, but Eda says Deniz just to torment him.

Melo as usual is holding everyone together, I am worried it will all become too much for her.  Her and Ferit in the coffee lounge was special, he really is such a gentleman and still cares for Ceren even though their relationship is clearly over. Melo reveals to him about Cerens hard life and she has been taking medication for many years.  He is obviously upset as he had no idea.  Can these two please get together or can we find decent people for them to love and be loved

Ceren is spiralling downwards, has stopped taking her meds and turns up to talk to Deniz with pink hair, I’m not sure if this is how she looked when she was young and was in love with Deniz or just wanted to change her image. Deniz chucking her out of the cafe after she kissed him was harsh, she clearly has problems and he could of least called Melo or Eda and let them know or offered to drive her home.  But instead opted to release Seline from her locked office (well done Melo), he is very focussed on Eda and its worries me as she is totally unaware of his feelings for her, can someone please tell her?

Any one else think it was strange that Serkan just sat there on the boat and did not get up to help Eda, until she asked.  He has always had good manners like that and I found it ooc?

Loved that he felt very comfortable to dry off Edas boobs when he spilt water on them, he was so wide eyed and shocked when Eda called him out, while secretly enjoying his touch!  I love getting to hear about poems they learned, that they had meals on this boat many times before, all the things we did not see in any episodes.

Eda:  Serkan when you left you told me you would be back.  This is the last thing i remember.  We were unable to say goodbye to each other.  And because we didn’t have such a memory, I always think its right to ask you if you remember?

So sad for Eda, she loves him so much, this is her soulmate and he has no memories of her, how that must hurt.

He clearly did not want her to leave the boat, he is drawn to her when they have these times alone and must be wondering where this manipulative woman is that Seline described. Giving her the ring back as a necklace was his way of keeping her close, and the trouble he obviously went to, compared to choosing Selines crappy engagement ring!

Wanting to drive Eda home and then telling Seline to go and he will come later, love it!!! His face lights up when he is with Eda, they have an invisible thread that connects them, and with Seline there is no sign of affection or caring for her.  Serkan took that time on the boat once Eda left to create new memories of their time together, yip he is falling in love and he will try and fight it but its pointless, hes a goner!

After yesterdays boat trip, I fell in love with him even more, is this normal?

My poor Eda, she is being so strong and positive, how, I do not know.  Especially when Serkan tells Farook that they will never get married, as he is marrying Seline soon.  Her face just fell, that really hurt.  and we have to tolerate Seline and her smirking at Eda, ugh i hate this woman.  

Eda opens the box from Deniz and its wedding invitations, obviously a plot created by Deniz and Seline, that why she is looking so pleased with herself.  What a nasty trick and I hope Eda calls Deniz out for it, he is supposed to be friend.

I strongly want to believe that Deniz is working with Seline, but then realises the love between Eda and Serkan is something that cannot be broken and will turn against Seline.

My other worry is this fake engagement, Seline has the recording and she will have no worries about letting Serkan hear it.  I just hope he realises Eda did it because she loves him so much and not to manipulate him.

My hopes for next episode, I am sure we have all seen the fragmans and it looks very edser centred...finally.  Seline finally realising Serkan does not love her, lets see how the pyscho bitch deals with that.  Serkan falling in love more and more with Eda, even without his memories of her returning. We saw in the fragman him saying,’ No one can touch you but me’, his heart knows what he wants and that is Eda.  

Seline is obviously on her way out and hopefully we will see that in 33, there is talk of her going off with Deniz, but hopefully not before Eda tears into her for what she has done. Whilst Serkan had memory loss and did not remember Eda, Seline could have chosen a better path and called Eda and let her know her fiance was alive, for that she needs to be roasted alive
