(I don't remember if I sent this before, so sorry) I was wondering if the Tohoku region has a specific dialect and how different it is to standard japanese? 🍀

Touhoku dialect is a group of dialects rather than one uniform dialect. Borders of dialect in Japan often follow old domain lines. The terrain is challenging for travel without modern transport and leaving your home village wasn't a possibility for many, so even relatively small areas can have distinctive dialects.

Touhoku dialects are sometimes mockingly known as zuuzuu dialect because of their common features. I and u are neutralised, meaning they are pronounced the same. Unvoiced stops become voiced, so t becomes d. Voiceless stops are prenasalised, so kedo is pronounced something like kenddo. Be and ppe are some common suffixes. In Miyagi the suffix datcha is common. The particle ni for direction becomes sa. The particle o becomes ba. Kero and kesain are used in place of kudasai.

There are many features to these dialects and I'm not gonna list them all, but in short, they are very different from standard Tokyo japanese and hard to understand without prior exposure

You don't hear touhoku dialects a lot in media because they haven't been held in much value. People from the Kansai area are proud of their dialects and not ashamed to use them in public because the Kyoto-Oosaka area has been wealthy and influential, whereas Touhoku has been poor and not as advanced so the dialects have been considered uneducated and backwards. Which is a shame because I like them a lot!

Birthdays!

I compiled what I found to be the most character-relevant and/or funny reasons for everyone's birthdays, however unless Inagaki Sensei confirms the reasoning behind them, these are all assumptions!

Senku - 1/4 - A pun on Ishigami, as 1-4 can be read as i-shi, meaning stone. If you've forgotten about this, then I recommend rereading chapter 56!

Luna - 1/30 - Anniversary of Orville Wright (of the Wright brothers)'s death. This may also be another pun, as 3-0 can be read as mi-zero, and the kanji for charm is 魅 (=mi) which could mean Luna has "zero charm". Another option is reading it as 1-3-0, i-mi-zero, or "zero meaning", which hopefully isn't a hint of how useful this birthday-meaning endeavor is…

Related, Luna didn't seem to be born under a full moon either so that's not the reason behind her birthday.

Yo - 1/31 - This is a big logic leap, however: 1 can be read as "ichi", or 位置 meaning position. Putting the 3+1 into context, we have Yo mentioning the "big 3" + himself as the Four Heavenly Kings, giving us Yo as the 4th in a position of power.

I couldn't find any way of making the date fit an exclamation like "Yo!" or "Uei!", but the "ue" (上) part of his name means "up" which fits the theme of positioning.

Chrome - 2/4 - The element chromium has the atomic number 24. I'm pretty confident this was the inspiration, however it's also a month after Senku's birthday!

Kaseki - 2/9 - Another logic jump: copper's atomic number is 29. The era after the Stone Age is the Chalcolithic, or Copper Age. Since Kaseki is the village's most skilled craftsman, it could be implying that Kaseki brought them out of the Stone Age into the next era.

Amaryllis - 2/14 - Valentine's Day. It's also chocolate day in Japan, which suits the sweet seductress that she is :)

Homura - 3/3 - Can be read as "san-san", which means brilliant or bright. As the name Homura means flame, this is fitting.

Ibara - 3/23 - I couldn't find anything of interest, even when checking the blossoming of thorny plants (Ibara means thorn after all). A little disappointing honestly :(

Yuzuriha - 3/31 - The end of the fiscal year in Japan and sometimes the last day of school. Had she been born 2 days later she'd be in a different grade to Senku and Taiju!

It's also the International Transgender Day of Visibility.

Gen - 4/1 - April Fool's Day, as well as the day Senku, Xeno, and probably several other Americans broke out of petrification after 3,700+ years. An inversion of Senku's birthday (1/4 and 4/1).

Great job to everyone who guessed the date before it was officially revealed!

Taiju - 4/2 - Likely the oldest one in Senku's school year because of Japan's birthday/grade division. 4-2 can also be read as "shi-ni" meaning "death", which could be related to everyone closest to Taiju dying at some point (both his parents are dead, Senku's died once, Taiju himself was likely dead and Yuzuriha wasn't looking too great in Corn City). If we want to push further though, "death" in Latin is "mori", and "mori" means forest in Japanese, tying in to Taiju's tree theme.

With Yuzuriha, Gen, and Taiju all having their birthdays right after one another, it seems like all of Senku's closest friends have their birthdays together.

Ginro - 4/7 - The element silver has the atomic number 47, similar to Chrome's birthday being the atomic number for chromium.

Ruri - 4/14 - Potentially another ishi/stone reference because of the 14, but it's also the Takayama/Sanno festival wishing for a good harvest. A more modern celebration is Orange Day, where romantic partners from Valentine's and White Day trade orange-colored gifts.

Ironically, orange blossoms are meant to represent prosperity and luck in marriage in flower language… Poor Ruri haha

Kokuyo - 4/19 - Another pun using numbers: 4-1-9 or "shi-i-ku", meaning breeding. Breeding Day is a day to celebrate the work of zookeepers and get people interested in zoos.

The other celebration on this day is the Furukawa festival, one of the three naked festivals. Men in loincloths (fundoshi) fight for the prime location near the central drum being paraded through town. The parade lasts the whole night.

Moz - 5/5 - Children's Day, also part of Golden Week. It's a day to celebrate children's happiness and their personalities. Before 1948, it was also used to recognize fathers, which is ironic given Moz attempted to kill his father when he was 7.

Carlos - 5/30 - Anniversary of Wilbur Wright (of the Wright brothers)'s death, matching Luna. Similarly, the numbers also spell something out: 5-3-0 is "go-mi-zero", or "zero garbage". Whether this means that Carlos is garbage and a zero, or that he's /not/ garbage, I can't tell.

This is also a proper day of celebration in Japan for cleaning up waste.

Ukyo - 6/5 - World Environment Day. (I have recommendations for when Ukyo's birthday should have been instead: 3/3 sounds like "mi-mi", meaning "ear", = his sonar skills. The other date is 9/8, read as "ku-ya", as the kanji for bow (弓) can be read as "ku" and arrow (矢) is "ya".)

Joel - 6/10 - Anniversary of Time. It commemorates the first time-keeping water clock in Japan, open to the public.

Minami - 6/21 - The day after Riichiro Inagaki's birthday, as well as the summer solstice. It's also Refrigerator Day in Japan, a day to check your fridges before the hot summer arrives. Or in Minami's case, to check on Tsukasa…

Max - 6/30 - Asteroid Day, for global awareness about the risks of asteroid impacts. 6-3 can also be read as "mu-mi", which means "tasteless" (無味). Not sure how the zero fits in though…

Luna, Max, and Carlos also all have birthdays that fall on the 30th of the month. What the significance of that is is unclear, apart from the fact that their dates can all create words.

Kirisame - 7/7 - The Tanabata festival, a celebration for two star-crossed lovers, generally celebrated by writing wishes on paper and hanging them from a bamboo tree. It's also World Chocolate Day!

Kinro - 7/9 - The element gold has the atomic number 79, similar to Chrome's and Ginro's birthdays being their atomic numbers.

Kohaku - 8/8 - A day full of puns, as 8-8 can be read as either "ha-ha" or "ba-ba", meaning father and grandmother respectively, but "ha" also means teeth and "hachi" (=another way of reading 8) means "bee"… The list goes on.

It's also World Cat Day! :3

Magma - 8/22 - The kanji for 8 looks like a volcano (八) which is probably the logic behind choosing August. 2 can also be read as "fu", and "fufu" is the equivalent of "hehe" laughter in English. In rare cases, 2 can also be read as "ha", which could be referencing Magma's "muhaha!" It's also the International Day Commemorating the Victims of Acts of Violence Based on Religion or Belief…

Nikki - 8/31 - 831 is shorthand for "I Love You", as it has 8 letters, 3 words, and 1 meaning. It's also good for hiding your embarrassment if you struggle to say (or type, or send via Morse code) the words themselves…

Stanley - 9/1 - The anniversary of the establishment of the US's Air Force Space Command, which is now part of the United States Space Force, the American military counterpart to NASA.

Suika - 9/9 - Chrysanthemum Day, an ancient festival in Japan, also known as the Festival of Happiness. It's also First Aid Day, the Katakai fireworks festival, and the day Kiku No.1 was launched by NASDA (now JAXA). The latter is interesting because it's quite round, like Suika!

Matsukaze - 9/15 - Respect For The Aged Day. Sometimes the date varies, but as Matsukaze is a man who follows the Bushido code, this seems fitting.

Xeno - 10/1 - NASA's first day of operations, as well as NASDA's day of establishment, then later JAXA's. An all-around good day for national space agencies. Also falls on International Coffee Day, I wonder if they're connected…

Byakuya - 10/8 - Byakuya's literal name. The kanji for "byaku" (百) is 100, and 8 can be read as "ya", creating 108, or 10/8.

Tsukasa - 10/10 - World Mental Health Day, as well as World Day against the Death Penalty. Ironic given the plot of Stone wars. It's also Public Bath Day and Fishing Day.

Ryusui - 11/11 - Desiring the best of everything, Ryusui's birthday is obviously #1…111. It's also Pocky Day, I wonder if he uses that fact to flirt with people/play the pocky game?

Hyoga - 11/30 - Day of Remembrance for all Victims of Chemical Warfare. (RIP Gozan, Yuki, Ren, Akashi, Kyoichiro, and Morito.) It could also be a way of "drawing" his kuda yari in action: 一一三〇

Chelsea - 12/20 - Anniversary of Sacagawea's death (maybe). She was a young girl who helped the Lewis and Clark expedition explore central America. 12°N 20°E is also a location in Chad.

Mirai - 12/31 - New Year's Eve, a day for looking towards the future. As Mirai's name means future, it's no surprise that this is her birthday!

Bit of a meta question here: We know that Goji and Mothra had gaming consoles in their Infant Island home and that Rodan at least is familiar with games in general, also that Maia was gonna eventually let San read the Middle-Earth books; so it can be reasonably assumed that they each know at least a decent amount of human pop culture.

This all being said, what fictional characters (if any) are the kaiju's favorites?

Bonus: Which ones would they crush on?

Turns out Titans can get just as obsessed with fictional characters as humans do! From strong but silent heroes like the Master Chief to the Fellowship in LotR, to ancient classical figures like Sun Wukong, they love a good hero; and a compelling villain you just love to hate.

As for their fictional crushes...

Goji at his age prefers to watch the video games but he finds Thel 'Vadam (the Arbiter) in Halo sexy for multiple reasons, particularly his voice. He pays a lot of attention to how Thel's mandibles move when talking.

On the subject of Halo, Kat-B320 in Reach enchanted Mothra with her accent alone; our poor Queen was devastated after the level New Alexandria, but Cortana filled the void. For a while.

It was mentioned in Shamhat, but Rodan favors Tali'Zorah nar Rayya in Mass Effect and considers her Best Girl.

Tiamat thirsts endlessly over Bayonetta.

As for Ghidorah, Ichi and Ni enjoy Kratos, particularly Greek Era Kratos when he's an unyielding engine of blind rage and vengeance all too happy to unleash destruction upon Greece if it means killing whatever so much as inconveniences him; they piss and moan about the Norse Era being "boring". (They understand Kratos has reasons for being Like That; they just only like him when he's screaming and killing.)

San would not bottom for just about anyone... but he would absolutely get on his knees for the Doom Slayer.

...and because I simply have no control over myself, they get into SIGNALIS. And proceed to never shut up about it. Mothra in particular is so heartbroken from one ending that for the first time in Titan History she actually starts writing fan fiction because she's so desperate for all the space lesbians to be happy. (Which, same.)

Seeing Ichi eating Dr. Vivienne after San wanted to eat the ashes of the soldiers gave me some grief lol. I know Ghidorah can survive without food (I think so) but, seriously, Kevin looked too hungry and his brother eating a human but not letting him taste the soldiers’ ashes made me kind of laugh and feel sorry for him X,D.

Not much to report for me this episode, although I will say that I’m amazed Tanaka’s phone still has juice in it. Have you tried using GPS and Data at the same time? Drains your battery like hell (but then again... the screen isn’t on).

What I will say though, is I’m amazed at how interconnected the episodes are.

I was initially trying to see if it was possible to establish a timeline between last episode and this episode (because again, I’m amazed at the phone battery!!) and it surprised me that you kinda could. Last episode, the girls needed to be picked by 7 PM (because the manager said it explicitly), and you know the phone was left before then. By the end of the episode, Ichimura (omfg I just realized that Mystery Kiss members are literally Ichimura, Nikaido, and Mitsuya - 1-2-3! XD) was on a date with Kakihana, and she showed her phone that says 19:12 - which means at least a day has passed.

Anyway. Interconnected episodes.

Because of the timeline thing, I decided to watch episode 1 again, and boy oh boy. Remember Tanaka bidding (Episode 4) for the Donraku Eraser all those years ago?

Man. I keep loving this series more and more. I’m not gonna bother seeing all the callbacks yet, but I definitely plan to re-watch all the episodes once it’s done airing. I feel like there’s more to discover (and that more of the scenes will make more sense).

How would The First user react of seeing his child after his s/o gave birth and how would he be with his s/o during pregnancy and then how would he be with his baby. Possible Manga Spoilers ahead?  

To say that Shigaraki [f/n] is nervous, is an understatement. She’s only been married for nine years to her husband Shigaraki Yuichi and now she is pregnant. And someone people may say that nine years of marriage is the prefect time to be having kids. But [f/n] doesn't think so. Also having a child is a lot of responsibility that not everyone is ready for. 

“Okay little one, how am I going to tell you daddy?” [f/n] wonders to herself as she stands before the mirror of the bathroom. 

“Hey, [f/n] are you okay in there?” Asks her long time friend Shimura Nana. 

“Yeah, be out in a minute.” [f/n] says taking a deep breath. 

[f/n] steps out of the bathroom to see Nana waiting for her in the hall. Nana takes one look at [f/n] before she gasps excitedly. Quickly, [f/n] covers Nana’s mouth. 

“Not a word.” [f/n] snaps in a whisper. 

“Okay, okay.” Nana whispers softly. “How long?”

“About a week. I had been feeling sick and then I went to the doctors early this morning.”

“By yourself?” 

“Yep.” 

“How are you going to tell him?”

“Not sure yet. But just dont say anything okay.” [f/n] begs. 

“Okay.” Nana nods. 

[f/n] smiles softly as she and Nana enter the living room. Yuichi is out with the boys of their friend group; Ganji Nishizaka, Wakaba Sans, Hikage Shinomori, Banjo Daigoro, and Okada Ruko. Apparently it was Daigoro’s idea to have a “guys’ day” and let the girls have time to themselves since they are surrounded by men. And the others agreed since it sounded nice. 

“What do you think the boys are doing?” Nana asks. 

“Probably at a bar.”

“Poor Shinomori then. He’s probably being forced to pretend he’s someone’s man.” 

“You know he enjoys doing that.” [f/n] giggles. 

“Yeah but still. Eventually he’s gonna snap and someone’s going to get sent to the hospital and press charges.” 

“Doubt that. But I get what you’re saying.” 

{A few hours later}

Nana leaves a few minutes before Yuichi returns. Thankfully Yuichi isn’t drunk but there is a huge smile on his face as he sees [f/n]. He wraps his arms around her forcing her into a long hug. 

“And what has gotten into you?”

“Missed you.” He says. 

“Did you?”

“You didnt miss me?” He asks pretending to be hurt.

[f/n] rolls her [e/c] eyes and says, “Of course I did.” 

Yuichi smiles and leans in for a tender kiss. [f/n] smiles into the kiss as she relaxes into his arms. Yuichi slowly pulls away breaking the kiss and stares into [f/n]’s eyes for a moment. 

“So, how was your day with Nana?”

“It was good. We just had tea and talked. What did you boys end up doing.” 

“Daigoro thought it be fun to take us to new club that opened up. We spent about twenty minutes trying to get Roku inside because he didnt look like he was old enough to go in as far as the bouncer was concerned.” Yuichi explains getting [f/n] to laugh. 

“Oh poor Ruko.” [f/n] laughs imagining just how pissed Ruko was and Daigoro, Sans, and Nishizaka laughing their asses off.

“You never did tell me where you went earlier today.” Yuichi says becoming serious. 

“Well, I didnt want to worry you. I went to doctors to figure out what was wrong with me. I should have the tests back by the end of the week.” [f/n] lies trying not to bite her lip. 

She hates lying to her husband. But for now, until she figures out a way to tell him, she is gonna have to. 

{A few days later}

“You still haven’t told him!?” Nana demands over the phone. 

“Nana, quiet down.” [f/n] begs. “It’s not easy. I thought you of all people would understand.” 

“I do. Which is why you should just tell him. You and I both know Yuichi will be happy knowing he is going to be a father.” Nana says. 

“Yeah, yeah I know.” [f/n] sighs. 

“You could always ask Shinomori for advice. I mean that’s how I told my husband I was pregnant by going to him.” Nana explains. 

“I guess it wouldn’t hurt.” [f/n] nods. 

After ended the call with Nana, [f/n] calls Shinomori. 

“Hello?” His deep voice resonates from the other line. 

“Hey Shinomori, it’s me [f/n]. I need your advice on something.” 

“Sure. What you need?”

“Well...the thing is...”

“You’re pregnant aren’t you?”

“Yeah, been for two weeks now.”

“And you haven’t told Yuichi yet?”

“No, which is why I’m calling you. Nana told me that you helped her tell her husband.” 

“I did. With Yuichi, I think the easiest way to tell him is buy a baby outfit that looks like his favorite hero.” 

“That could work. Thanks, Shinomori.”

“No problem. Happy I could help.”

“Also, I have to know, how are you still not married yet? Seriously you’d make a great husband for someone.” 

“I am aware, but I dont think marriage is for me.”

“I understand that, but when was the last time you went on a date or got laid for that matter.”

“Oh, god now your sounding like Daigoro.”

“Hey that’s a valid question as a cornered friend who sees you as a older brother.” 

“Much appreciated and I do see you as a sister. Good luck telling Yuichi.” 

“Thanks Shinomori.” 

{The next day}

Finding the baby outfit of Yuichi’s favorite hero was easy. Now all she has to put is put in a place he’ll find it. That’s when [f/n] recalls that Yuichi has adult onesie of his favorite hero that he wears every once and while. She finds that onesie and lays it and the baby outfit on the bed. She also adds the test from the doctors to confirm it. With that done, all she needs to do now is wait. 

Yuichi comes home from work a hour later. He greets [f/n] like he normally does with a smile, a kiss, and a hug. After which he heads into the bedroom to change and get comfortable. 

Watching him head into their room, she waits for his reaction. Hearing footsteps she looks to see him come back into the kitchen holding the onesie with tears in his eyes. 

“A-A-Are we really?” 

“We are.” [f/n] nods with a smile. 

Yuichi breaks down into tears as he grabs [f/n] into a hug and swings her around. He laughs while she yelps. He plants a kiss on her lips completely overwhelmed in joy. 

{Telling the others}

“YES!” Daigoro cheers. “More children for us to spoil!” 

“About time.” Nishizaka shrugs. 

“Finally mini Yuichis!” Sans jokes. 

“What about mini [f/n]s?” Asks Roku. 

“You’ll both be great parents.” Shinomori says with a smile. 

“Agreed. Picked our the godparents yet?” Nana asks. 

“Shinomori and you for sure.” [f/n] says.

“HAHA Yes!” Nana cheers. 

“I’d be honored.” 

“Hey a kid can have more than two godparents.” Daigoro says a bit hurt he wasn't chosen. 

“You’re the fun uncle remember?” Asks Ruko.

“Oh right.” Daigoro smiles.  

{During the pregnancy}

[f/n] is surprised how much Yuichi involves himself in the pregnancy. Like, WOW, he is involved. He reads a lot of parenting books and researches tons of baby stuff. He brings up a few things he’s learned with [f/n] to see if she might be willing to try them. It’s a little endearing, but [f/n] doesn’t mind. She knows that he is just excited and nervous. 

Also Yuichi has been handling her hormones, carvings, and mood swings pretty well. Of course, [f/n] can’t help but think he might be venting to Shinomori or Nana’s husband to help get through it. And if he is, well [f/n] can’t blame him. 

There is also the fact that Yuichi has taken over getting the baby’s room ready. They still dont know the gender because they want it to be a surprise. 

“H-Hey, Yuichi can you rub my feet?” [f/n] asks as they sit on the couch. 

“Sure.” Yuichi says moving toward her feet. 

“Thank you.” [f/n] says beginning to fall asleep.

“You’re welcome my love.” Yuichi says leaning to plant a kiss on [f/n]’s cheek. 

{When the baby is born}

Needless to say, [f/n] thought she broke Yuichi’s hand during the birth. However she is pleasantly surprised to find that she didn’t. Of course Yuichi admits that her grip did hurt. Holding their, newly born son, [f/n] tries to hold the tears back. 

Their son has his father’s hair, green eyes, but your [s/c] skin and your mother’s oddly symmetrical freckles.

“What do you want to name him?” [f/n] asks Yuichi. 

“Hmm...Izuku.” Yuichi says. 

“After your grandfather?”

“Yep.” 

“Alright then. Shigaraki Izuku it is.”

Something I've been thinking about ever since I saw GVK

Ghidorah somehow makes a human friend in the course of KotM. To Ghidorah, the human friend gives the best head, horn and snout scratches on the whole planet. Ichi and Ni are the big bois and very possessive of the human friend. They capitalize on scratches, and fight for them, clamoring to get them first. Of course, they beat on poor Kevin because he's the weaker head, and Kevin often ends up getting none. However, when Ichi and Ni are somehow asleep, the human friend stays up extra late to soothe Kevin from his beatings and give him scratches -- and pets, which they don't give Ichi and Ni and makes him feel even more special. When his head is ripped off, he wonders if, somehow, pets will ever be able to make him feel better.

When Kevin's brain is revived in MechaGodzilla's body, his first thought is that it hurts. He can't hear his brothers' voices anymore, he's in a body that isn't his that is made to look like a crude imitation of his worst enemy, and it hurts so much. After he kills the one who made him this way, it still doesn't feel any better. Kevin's next thought is of the only thing that made him feel better -- pets and scratches from Human Friend. His new goal is to find them; and have them pet him to help him feel better. He finds that Godzilla is in his way, and it only makes him angrier and hurt even more. He puts up a great fight, and as it goes on, he realizes he's superior. He has power now. He can do anything and not get hurt. He's one step closer to getting the pets.

But thanks to Kong, he never gets them. Kevin dies alone, powerless, and hurt. In his final moments, he wonders if pets would ever truly make this hurting go away.

So, if it's true and, in "Godzilla vs. Kong," Mechagodzilla has the brain of Ghidorah's left head (aka Kevin), I wonder if he'll become self aware at some point. Like, Kevin suddenly realizes he's Kevin, but now he has his own body. No more sharing it with two other heads! He has absolute control now, AND HE'S A GIANT KILLER ROBOT! How fucking awesome is that???

I can imagine Mecha Kevinzilla going to the "burial" site of Ichi and Ni:

They doubted him, always told Kevin he was the dumb one, but now he has an ultimate mech body and can do whatever the hell he wants. So, Mecha Kevinzilla goes rogue and decides to go on a rampage because HE IS A GOD NOW

But he is still dumbass Kevin, and looks more like a kid running around destroying things after having too much sugar, and Godzilla and Kong are like:

OK, 'Abraxas' Q-time again! :) (1) D'you have any headcanons about the late Master Sergeant Hendricks and where he fit in+what his relationships were like amongst the Monarch crew in Abraxasverse? (2) We know lying is a new concept to San and his brothers, and San doesn't think much of it; but Ichi+Ni seem to bend the truth outright a couple times, so do they have a differing opinion? (3) Does Abraxas' final form still have the double-set of teeth Vivienne's head had in their first two forms?

Hendricks, Hendricks... must be time to binge the MonsterVerse movies again, because wasn't he the guy who went "oh shit" right before Ghidorah vaporized him and some others in Antarctica? To be honest I haven't once considered the poor guy until literally this second, ha. Maybe he was a more gung-ho member of G-Team, or something along those lines?

Ni prefers to be as brutally honest as possible, as he's too direct and in-your-face to really care about lying; he'd probably say he doesn't bother wasting brainpower on trivial things like that (looks like he and San have something in common). Ichi on the other hand is all too happy to bend the truth when it suits his designs, namely manipulating the Many into believing they're Pieces of God, because Ghidorah is a godlike entity compared to humans and they are going to be part of Ghidorah, so he's technically not lying. Ichi loves the idea of "you are technically correct, which is the best kind of correct," it's a fun idea to him

They do! It took quite a bit of rearranging some biomass here and there to restore bones and extra bits during the final transformation, but they still got More Teeth than the Osmond Family. While we're talking about teeth, I like to think their Monstrous Mandibles actually serve a function beyond flexing like a turian's mandibles in Mass Effect, maybe they can clamp down on something Monster X is biting to as to keep a better hold on it? If not that, it can also be a cool part of an intimidation display, like when a yautja growls or roars.
