my silly au thoughts below :]

glados discovers and awakens doug rattmann (who has been in stasis following the events of Lab Rat)

behold! a convenient target for glados to take out her lingering resentment towards "new aperture"

glados puts newfound convenient target into testing

glados initially always refers to doug with a plural "you" (because he is the embodiment of an entire generation of aperture employees. obviously)

doug doesnt actually know much about glados outside of what aperture told him during his employment (aka not much. they definitely wiped caroline clean from aperture's history when glados was created. women in stem yknow)

doug and glados both want to kill each other so bad but boohoo they cant bc they care about chell and chell wants both of them very much alive

first batch of portal refs done!! the second will come soon (i hope) it will include spin off and mod characters as well :D

android AU: everything stays the same but the robots are more humanoid. thats it really xD

human AU: set in 2010. quite a few things change (i oc-ify the characters pretty much). the main things to note is that it’s a lot of what if scenarios. what if the resonance cascade in black mesa never happened, what if caroline had a daughter (gladys, so glados and caroline aren’t the same person in the AU. i wanted to explore the possibility of them being two separate people haha), what if the disk operating system project was put into halt and AI never took over. in the AU black mesa and aperture are still rivals in the development of teleportation technology, portals are still being experimented on, human test subjects are paid to test, they don’t go through cryo sleep stasis but live their life at aperture in dormitories (let me slice of life portal okay im self indulgent). Aperture still has questionable work ethics and morals but things work slightly more differently. Gladys is the CEO of aperture and she pushes for a lot of work to be done so they can surpass black mesa. Also important to note, Chell registers as a test subject for the cash deal but she also aims to investigate what really happened to her adoptive father who died at Aperture.

that’s the main essence of the au, still working on it and some plots here and there but, like most of my fandom aus, it’s really self indulgent slice of life crap LOL

Job: CEO and Founder, Former CEO

Notes: CEO and Founder of Apeture Science, Mr. Scar Goodtimes raised this company from the ground. From making shower curtains to our new scientific advances, he has led our company to prosperity.

Statement from Mr. Goodtimes: "Hello, all you investors and test subjects, Scar Goodtimes here, CEO and founder of Apeture Science. You might be wondering, "Scar, what possessed you to buy hundreds of dollars of moon rocks?" And the answer would be: Science! Just some good, ol' fashioned Science. Cleo, tell the Lab Boys to see if ground up moon rocks can do any Science."

Additional Note: We're not sure how Mr. Goodtimes came into possession of billions of dollars, considering he spends them all almost as soon as he gets them. The stock ratings are awful, and had it not been for Mr. Goodtimes' fortune, Apeture would have been bankrupt within its first two months.

Note from Mr. Goodtimes: "You know what I think will help achieve our aim of a big, beautiful tomorrow? AI. Artificial Intelligence. Cleo, can you get the Lab Boys working on that? Thank you. You see, I want to try and put myself into a computer! Wouldn't that just be great? Then I can get to see that great big, beautiful tomorrow. So, I'm getting the Lab Boys to work on that now! Say... That diamond looking moon rock looks suspiciously tasty..."

Additional Note 2: Mr. Goodtimes has begun eating the moon rocks. We hope this has no health concerns.

Additional Note 3: There were, in fact, health concerns. While we cannot get a direct statement from Mr. Goodtimes at this moment, he has stated that he wants Miss Cleo Zombie to "run this place" in the event of his premature death, and that the "Lab Boys" should "Stick her in <his> computer" if needs be.

Additional Note 4: It is with a heavy heart we report the death of Mr. Scar Goodtimes. As his tragic death occurred before the completion of the "GLaDOS Project", Miss Cleo Zombie will take Mr. Goodtimes' place as CEO of Aperture.
