vampire young wolf. a power just as ancient and potent as the darkness has latched onto them, and has infected them with an insatiable thirst and the physical prowess of a titan. more and more vamp killings are seen by the day, guardian forces raiding blood lounges to wrap up the stragglers. ironically, yw has been assigned to find and eliminate the source of this unknown power ( just after they were finishing off a blood pouch from a plasma donation center ) crow doesnt think of it as much, but is a little weirded out by how often they find yw in the shade. yw tries to keep crow at arms length, but their attempts futile. when the plasma center can currently no longer afford to skim off the top for yw, they retreat to a once hunters den to a now beaming feeding lounge. crow, eager to prove himself to zavala joins a guardian group to disband and round up another lounge. there is a handful of people that have seen yw without their helmet, and crow was unfortunate enough to be one of them. it sends a shiver like no other running through his spine when he heads down a corridor and in the corner of his eye sees yw attentively finishing off their drink from a pleased civilians wrist, getting ready to make their escape. both parties hear him come in, wolf snapping up straight and staring into the wall. crow is the first one to say something, but its quickly becoming static to them. its not even 15 seconds before they clip past him and out the next seen window, crow almost hot on their heels. they see the same agileness they saw in another beloved hunter, its not long until crow finds himself entangled in stray cords from the edz. wolf stays idle for a while, thinking over what they should do. first, they take his vanguard mission communications and smash it to pieces. wolf cant hear the barrage of questions from crow. anyways, they make him say to tell nobody under any circumstances, and that nobody needs to know. after a while, crow obliges. he does owe them his life after all. he can stay silent about this for a few hundread years. he agrees to look the other way when he sees them heading to another plasma donations or head off planet to another feeding lounge that had popped up.

until crow became their personal doner.

Obviously the Hidden and subsequently, Ikora catches wind of the YW's mysterious appearances and disappearances. Their reluctance to remove their helmet in meetings and deliberate avoidance of reflective objects. Ikora's suspicions grow until the YW realizes they're at risk of discovery and vanish from the Tower. Crow refuses to give them up and given that they aren't hurting anyone (they still take Vanguard missions that Crow passes along to them but solo), Ikora has no choice but to leave it alone with a warning to Crow.

Most likely, the RAD 380 is telling you there is a patrol car on the other side. Be mindful if this happens, especially if the intensity of the alert increases as you climb the hill. You may find the RAD 380 will issue a slow alert as you approach a hill on the interstate. If it beeps just once, it’s still a good idea to keep your eyes peeled, but a single beep is probably nothing to worry about. For example, if the RAD 380 beeps slowly at first, then speeds up rapidly, it’s most likely police radar. The audible alerts may take some getting used to, but it’s not rocket science. By contrast, different alert tones are used for each type of signal detected (including separate tones for each laser signal). The signal meter is easy to figure out, with 1 being the weakest and 5 being the strongest. The RAD 380 will advise you of a radar’s signal strength via audible tones and a numeric signal meter on the display. The RAD 380 is small and easy to install. The factory setting for VG-2 is off, but I turned it on for fun. The RAD 380 is also VG-2 capable, meaning it can identify the infamous “radar detector detector” signal. A giant “L” appears when a laser signal is detected. The Cobra RAD 380 detects X, K, and Ka radar bands by displaying the appropriate letters on the display. Most times, it’s probably ahead of you, but not always. The best thing when you receive an alert is to slow down. Although there are no directional arrows, the RAD 380 alerted me to a radar signal from behind on two separate occasions (that I could visibly see in my rearview mirror). Cobra’s proprietary LaserEye technology means the RAD 380 can detect signals from both the front and rear. The RAD 380 detects all radar and laser (LiDAR) guns. Unfortunately, the RAD 380 does not come with a carrying case, so I grabbed this one on Amazon (as an Amazon associate, Automoblog earns from qualifying purchases). Ensure the unit is as low as possible but not obstructing its view, either to the front or rear. The RAD 380 will perform best if you mount it in the center of your vehicle (approximately) on your front windshield. I opted for the suction cup windshield mount over the hook-and-loop fastener for my three-week drive. The RAD 380 comes with a 12V power cord, suction cup windshield mount, a hook-and-loop fastener for dashboard mounting, and a quick reference guide. Although inexpensive, the RAD 380 is not a “cheap” radar detector. Instead, the RAD 380 is more straightforward in its design and functionality, which has its benefits as well. If you consider the average cost of a speeding ticket in the United States (around $150, not counting the increased insurance premium), then yes, a radar detector makes sense.
