there are literal tears in my eyes from how close this hits as someone who constantly had issues with socializing with others over “weird” interests this is reminding me of my grade school days ESPECIALLY middle school was the worst with that

i struggle with it a lot less now but i always used to have trouble with judging people’s emotions especially based on facial expressions and passive aggressive remarks this made it hard for me to tell when people were being genuine or just making fun of me

speed makes sense although i think a sort of hammer space in her tail akin to a squirrel’s cheek pouches would be cool too

closing thoughts: holy shit this season is starting off strong the only other one that has gotten me this close to bawling my eyes out by the second episode was healin good but man this episode comes close to that if not surpasses it himari is delightful i adore her already i think she’s super interesting in contrast to ran from delicious party but that’s a tangent for another day this was STELLAR and i honestly don’t have any issues with it really?

Starting on Futari Wa Pretty Cure after several glowing recommendations from multiple of my esteemed mutuals! Liveblog will simply be tagged "precure liveblog", and all episodes will have their own post thread, in case anyone is interested in my reactions :D

huh that’s a cool mechanic guess we know where the girls will be cooking now lol

already getting some follow up about her mom oh man that’s a good sign so far for this being an important plot point this season

the chronic fear of upsetting people and speaking out... afraid to show any indication of your interests or like due to being afraid of being mocked oh she’s ticking all my boxes i also really do like how only semi verbal she is when stressed i wasn’t expecting that aspect

and of course she lights up when finally able to talk about what she’s passionate about

Nozomi Yumehara a.k.a "Cure ADHDream", a compilation that surely already exists somewhere because holy shiet episode 11 is one gigantic mood.

Literally the plot of this episode is "Nozomi can't focus on her homework." At one point she's pencil-mustaching and gazing out the window when she gets distracted by a hot-air balloon. Cannot think of a more ADHD premise than that, but here's a few of the (many) moments where I had to hit pause and go "It Me!" in sympathy :')

Immediately captivated & interested in learning when the learning is in the context of sth fun & new <3 AND THEN A BIT LATER Coco asks her how the balloon flies when she's talking about having no talent for learning etc, & she's able to answer no problem... :')

Aaaaa this whole bit with Coco is so lovely... granted there's a little emphasis on potential that I'm personally not a fan of for various "Gifted Kid ADHD Burnout" reasons, but for Nozomi who is so fuelled by hope and dreams this is exactly what she needed to hear :')

Ok apparently I hit some sort of post limit length trying to finish this & the post crashed (thankfully the autosave got almost everything!) but uuuh BASICALLY THIS EPISODE IS VERY GOOD & full of fun moments besides just being a wonderful collection of Cure ADHDream scenes. uuh Precure great show. Yeagh ^^
