➤ MIDTERMS PERFORMANCE TASK
Vlogging with 401, Group 4 ‏𖦹
For our midterms’ performance task requirement, we were tasked to create a vlog content which will feature particular tourist spot, tradition, food, or product in an area where one of our groupmates live. We decided to go for promoting a popularly known food business; Primablend, being the oldest bakeshop in San Mateo, Rizal and is established in 1970. Primablend Bakeshop is known for its delectable pastries such as sansrival, cookies, caramel cakes — and offer drinks and other snacks as well, such as pizzas, burgers, and pasta. The bakeshop’s interior and overall vibes are what it makes additionally interesting for it would totally bring you back to good older days, even us as Gen Zs. What are you waiting? Do check out our vlog now for you to witness how our vloggers had fun promoting, as well as eating almost all of the menus and enjoying their time at Primablend!

PORTFOLIO 📄
Howdy! We are the BMMA401 students from STI College Cubao, and here lies our portfolio in compliance with the requirements of the Writing for New Media final task performance and practical exam which will include the Vlog, 2 Podcast Scripts, and 1 Audio.
➤ MIDTERMS PERFORMANCE TASK
Creating a VLOG with a content featuring whether the tourist spots, or tradition/culture/festival, or food, or product, in the area which one of our groupmate lives. Us, Group 4, decided to go for promoting a popularly known food business; Primablend, being the oldest bakeshop in San Mateo, Rizal and is established in 1970! Our vloggers truly had fun promoting, as well as eating almost all of the menus while enjoying their time at Primablend. Click the indicated link above to check out our vlog now!
➤ PRE-FINALS PERFORMANCE TASK
Featuring the Podcast Script we wrote in compliance of Pre-final TP which must talk about the changes that happen in the Philippines brought by the audience and their feedback to online content about the Philippines. We chose to revisit the brutal hostage crisis that occurred at Quirino Grandstand in Manila thirteen years ago as our podcast gave opinions with how massive the impact of media was while the crisis were happening. The link indicated above will show the entirety of the podcast script!
➤ FINALS PERFORMANCE TASK
Finals is at long last here! For this one, it is already an individual project wherein we were tasked to write another podcast script summarizing our experiences throughout the course Writing for New Media. The blog must express an insight regarding what the students can contribute to new media writing, including our journey and the specific impacts toward our view on the new media platforms and their dynamics while learning in the mentioned course.
Here are the members of BMMA401 - Group 4, including each of our podcast script and audio link in compliance with the requirements of the Writing for New Media final task performance.

𝙲𝙷𝙰[𝚃] 𝙷𝚄𝙸𝙳[𝙼𝙴]: MY JOURNEY IN WRITING IN NEW MEDIA BY: HUIDEM, CHARIS
PODCAST 🎙 PODCAST SCRIPT 📝
Podcast Script: My Journey in "Writing for New Media"
[INTRO BGM]
CHA[T] HUID[ME]: MY JOURNEY IN WRITING IN NEW MEDIA
= INTRODUCTION =
HOST: Hello! Hello! and welcome to CHA[T] HUID[ME]! I'm your host, DJ Cha, and today I'm excited to share my personal journey in the course 'Writing in New Media.' In this episode, I'll talk about the fun times during our class sessions, some of my memorable experiences that changed my view on new media platforms, and my thoughts on how I can contribute to this evolving field. So without further ado, let's get started!" [insert: music transition]
TOPIC 1: Fun During Class Sessions Host: Let me start by telling you guys about our class sessions. Our schedule for this subject, If I remember correctly, was from 5:30 PM to 7:00 PM, which, as you can imagine, is a pretty tiring time for most of us. By that time of the day, most of us had already been through a full day of activities—whether it's attending other classes, working, or just dealing with daily life. It's pretty easy to feel drained and mentally checked out. But despite the long day, our class was always lively and engaging. One thing that really stood out for me was how some of my classmates would crack jokes in the middle of discussions. It was like an unspoken tradition—we'd be deep in a serious topic, maybe discussing the history of new media or analyzing a case study, and suddenly someone would make a witty comment or share a funny meme related to the topic. It never really failed to lighten the mood and keep everyone awake. Moments like these created such a positive and enjoyable atmosphere, making the learning process a lot more fun. These light-hearted interactions not only made the class more bearable but also helped us bond as a section. Moreover, our professor encouraged this kind of interaction. She believed that learning should be engaging and that a good laugh could enhance our creativity and collaboration. She would often share her own stories and experiences in the new media industry, sometimes funny, sometimes challenging, but always insightful. And I think these stories gave us a real-world perspective and made the class discussions more relatable." [insert: music transition]
TOPIC 2: Memorable Experience Impacting My View of New Media Host: Now let’s move on to our next topic which is one of my memorable experiences that changed my view of new media. A specific experience that had a significant impact on my view of new media platforms was a performance task where we had to create a vlog. My group and I decided to visit a famous bakeshop called 'Primablend' in San Mateo Rizal. We spent an entire Sunday planning and the next day which is Monday filming the vlog. It was a beautiful day, perfect for a little adventure. We started our day early, meeting inside the school after class to discuss our plan. We brainstormed different segments for our vlog—introducing the bakeshop, and of course, tasting some of their best pastries. Each of us had a role to play: 2 of my classmates were the hosts, me and another member were in charge of the camera, and the others handled the other stuff behind the scenes. The energy was high, and we were all excited about the project. When we arrived at Primablend, we were welcomed with the sweet aroma of freshly baked goods. We set up our camera and started filming. My classmates who's the main vloggers, introduced the bakeshop, describing its cozy atmosphere and the variety of pastries on display. The highlight was definitely the taste test—we sampled a variety of pastries, and I can tell you, they were absolutely delicious. But the real eye-opener came after we posted the video online. To our surprise, it received a lot of comments and interactions from people who didn't even know us. Seeing strangers engage with our content, sharing their own experiences with Primablend, and even asking us for recommendations was incredibly rewarding. It was a heartwarming experience that made me realize the power of social media. This interaction made me think about how new media, particularly social media, can create connections and foster a sense of community despite physical distances. This experience showed me how new media can bring people together, allowing us to connect and engage from, basically, anywhere in the world. It was a sincere realization that social media is not just about sharing content; it's about building relationships and creating shared experiences. It emphasizes the potential of new media platforms to impact lives in meaningful ways, and it strengthened my belief in the positive power of digital communication."
[insert: music transition]
TOPIC 3: My Contributions to the Course Host: And now on to the last topic of this episode, let's talk about my possible contribution to the course 'Writing in New Media.' This will not be long as I will just be basing on what I experienced and learned throughout my journey. Based on the experience that stood out to me, our Task Performance which is the Vlog, as a multimedia student, I think my possible contribution to this course is creating a personal vlog, so that I could start a platform where I regularly post my projects, reflections, and experiences throughout my journey not just in this course, but also to other related subject. This not only gives me a platform to showcase my work, but also helps me build an online community and share my learnings with a larger audience.
[insert: music transition] = OUTRO =
Host: To wrap up this episode, my journey in “writing in new media" has been both enlightening and enjoyable. From the fun class sessions to the memorable or should I say “meme-morable” experiences, and my aspirations to contribute to the course, I’ve learned so much about the power and potential of new media. This is your DJ CHA, and thank you for tuning in today’s episode CHA[T] HUID[ME]!. If you enjoyed this episode, please share your thoughts through the comment section. Until next time, again, this is your DJ cha, signing off.

TolentiKnows S1 Ep1
Writing for New Media
GENERATED VOICE:
The following episode is Rated PG, Parental Guidance should be observed for younger audience.
*INTRO MUSIC FADE IN*
HOST RENDHEL: Good Day! Good Life people! Welcome to the first episode of “TolentiKnows” where every week we learn new and exciting things in life! Ngayong Linggo, I learned about Writing for New Media and I will try to summarize everything I’ve learned and experienced in that course.
*INTRO MUSIC FADE OUT, UPBEAT BGM IN*
HOST RENDHEL: Looking back, New Media course had been a rollercoaster ride. I had my fair share of ups and downs all of the time we started the prelims without an instructor so we could go ahead and not attend the course. By the time we got a professor, I was lost with the section I was in. I am an irregular student that’s why I have a lot of sections to attend to, and this is the first time I am coming to class with them. BMMA401 blew past my expectations. They are the most lively bunch that I know of, and no one can even come close. I mostly attended this class  feeling dead already because of my 8am class but they do give me a boost when I am inside the classroom. I consider them to be the highlight of this course.
*Ad Interruption*
This podcast is brought to you by Solidify “Making your ideas come to life.”
HOST RENDHEL: Now we jump to the time that we now have a professor to teach us and she was amazing to say the least. Ma’am Elaine caught us up with the lessons we haven’t been able to discuss. She taught us just what we needed to learn and more! She made sure to make the discussion fun and interactive. She gave us tasks that fit the course lessons well! I personally enjoyed the feature writing where we researched about Primablend and my group mates came there to review their products and specialties.
HOST RENDHEL: Wait, someone from the comments says that the cakes felt like heaven; well that is true Mr. Commenter! Primablend was really well known for their pastries and cakes! All the writing too and groupworks are fun and interactive. I personally learned more about the communications styles that I can use to my advantage well and improve on my future ventures. Through this course, I was able to see the importance of communication in my everyday life.
COMMENT SECTION: What more can you contribute to the new media, Rendhel?
HOST RENDHEL: Excellent question “ILoveSlotMachine25”, what a name! As some of you might know, I am an illustrator, I am not new to the digital world! It is true that I am learning about a lot just now but that is good because I am still learning *laughs* Well after all that, I can now speak better with more intent, more stories to tell in a way you all haven’t seen from me before! With this course I was able to think more critically and create art and content that can both educate and entertain! I hope you all stay tuned for that because I’m telling y’all it’s worth it… *laughs*
HOST RENDHEL: Well that was it with our first episode done everyone! Come give yourselves a round of applause *applause sfx* I was thrilled answering more questions but unfortunately we do have a time limit. As we all know, every good thing must come to an end. I will see you all next week! I will shout our top commenters out for the next episode of “TolentiKnows” where every week we learn something new in life! I am your host Rendhel. Have a good night.
*end credits rolling*
