Triton Seawing light language lmao

I've had this theory/headcannon/idea for a while that, like the Seawings from wof, tritons are bioluminescent

While in bright lights, like the surface during the day, the patterns are practically invisible and don't glow at all, but during the night they seem to naturally illuminate

Of course, the trench which is the equivalent to the bottom of the ocean is much darker than simply the oversea at night, so the patterns only really glow in really really dark areas

And I know that Triton's can speak underwater as if they were above water but I imagine the further down you go the pressure (even though tritons are kinda built for that) messes with your vocal cords and the way the sound travels

So over time, tritons would learn to flash specific patterns in specific orders in order to mean certain things

Maybe if you flare out your fins and flash the patterns across them it could mean "here" or "come"

The patterns around the eyes would probably mean "see" or "watch/look"

I am a firm believer that the crown that Gil has is special to him and him only, but in the case that it isn't maybe illuminating the coral could mean "royalty" or "King/queen" or even "silence"

Though, at the same time, primordial and aquan are both languages kind of built for deep water so I feel like those would work as well

(speaking of which, recently I've been seeing videos of people chanting native or historical or generally really old songs or tunes in other languages, do you think the tritons would have anything like that in primordial? Or even aquan?? And what would the lyrics of the chanting entail? Probably something about the ancient leviathans or the gods and probably the cycle of life and death)

This bit of weirdness from 2011 is titled Suborbital. Primordial Predator god does primordial Predator god things. I am pretty sure that I made this after seeing Disney's Atlantis for the seventeenth time. I like glowing rocks.

I made this with Prismacolor pencils over an ink drawing. It might look like it has digital enhancement, but I'm holding the thing in my hands right now and I can assure you the effects are all Prismacolor.

chaos can be everything and nothing at the same time, it was made out of everything that exists, whether logical or not, but at the same time it was made up of pure nothing

it makes no sense and i think thats why it fits so much; reader is a being that as of right now is usually seen as something not really comprehensible by anyone in cult!au teyvat, they know and can see you *look* human but are you really? you could be but at the same time you couldnt

you couldnt be predicted, but you could be- but then you wouldnt. you’re a puzzling puzzle just waiting to have all its pieces perfectly in place and finally be solved

i can imagine the shock for teyvats lil guys to realize that chaos, something they dont necessarily enjoy having in their lives, is literally what the “almighty creator” embodies,

this was heavily inspired by actual religions, in which chaos in the first primordial being to ever exist and be, and gather themself together cuz ya why not and boom universe or sum else

Ashton & The Shard 🔥

So I’ve watched the stream and I’ve never left an episode with a massive headache from emotional roller coasteering.

I love Ashton as they’re coming to terms from being a nobody to being a primordial titan descendant. However that finally scene…got Matt Mercer shaking because he didn’t think Talisen would be that reckless to take in the shard. However Talisen stayed true to his character’s ways of being stubborn, smartass punk and reckless (like any good barbarian).

Picturing Ashton crumbling and oozing magma is something I can’t unsee. However, I don’t like how Ash found a connection with Fearne. Used the softness of her newly acquired feelings for him to his advantage. Seeing Ashley play as Fearne watching yet another friend in pain, shatter then reform and then collapse. I’m glad Fearne hoofed him in the face.

That being said…Ashton is a survivor. Ashton has only had themselves to care for. Ashton didn’t have anyone to guide them between right and wrong. The Greymoore Home seems to be just as helpful as The Driftwood Asylum for Fjord.

The fact there were so many “don’t do this” “don’t push the big red button” “you’ll die if two shards are together” and to see how chaotic Ashton truly is makes me wonder what else is Talisen planning or how will Ashton react.

It’s also important to note, it’s best to stay true to the character you’re playing. If you had a character who was a good guy but then suddenly reveal a ridiculous out of character moment. That would be odd.

Whereas Talisen stayed on track with his his punk ass genasi would react and be a smartass to play with ‘destiny’.

Kind of like “is this what you wanted fate? That what you wanted gods?! You ain’t getting Fearne! You’ve got me you sons of bitches! Let’s see how badly fate truly needs me!”

Tbh I loved the episode and it was very in character rather than taking the literal safe path shown. It was so intense Matt Mercer was shaking and everyone was out of their seat at one point!! The fact that Matt had to improvise because he didn’t think this would happen shows that ANYTHING can happen in dnd.

Excellent dnd and bravo for Talisen for going against the path laid out because Ashton isn’t one for fate or destiny. He’s been on his own for so long and is like “oh you’re only showing me this shit now because you need MY help?! Where were you when I was a kid lost or alone?! Or when I fell out of the fucking window?!”

Also don’t hate on a person for playing their character how they want to play their character
