'Prince Albert the nurse frankly ignored to a degree which amounted virtually to neglect. So completely did she disregard his wants and comforts that he was frequently given his afternoon bottle while driving in a C-sprung Victoria [a doorless four-wheeled open carriage], a process not dissimilar from a rough Channel crossing -- and with corresponding results. It is not surprising that the baby developed chronic stomach trouble, which may well have laid the foundation for the gastric complaint from which he was later to suffer so acutely.'

After poor Bertie went hungry and felt queasy for the first couple of years of his life, seeing photos of him (and his siblings) being able to eat lots of yummy food is just so precious :)

Queen Mary spent more time with her daughters-in-law than with her only daughter. Why?
Hi!
Not entirely true…
People often forget that Mary married an Earl from Leeds, so she spent a good deal of her life at the Harewood estate there. She wrote and coasted with Queen Mary as often as they could and they Lascelles did have a house in London that they stayed at (especially for the Season and when Mary had engagements).
Later in life once Harry died, Mary spent more and more time away from Harewood, she had an apartment in St James’ Palace and saw more of her mother then.
Essentially, they say each other more during Mary’s maiden years and then widow years as Mary would frequent London more then. During the later years they took tea together everyday at 5pm.

I have never seen a sweet photo of Queen Mary with her only daughter. did he like taking more formal photos?
Myself I personally think they preferd to take more formal photos, not saying that they didn't like taking informal photos though. But here are some informal photos of them together, they are very sweet. 🥰
