LockHost

Ive been looking for a system term to describe myself for a while, and decided fuck it we ball and made one myself

A lockhost is an alter in a system that seems to be the 'main' host, and is almost always fronting. They may also decribe themself as 'front-locked' or 'front sticky,' but this may not always be the case. They may be able to leave front or the front area, but are usually aware of whats going on with front anyways, and they are quite often pulled back to front within a short period of time. Because of this, they usually become the bodies 'main identity' in a system.

Other alters may use the identity of the lockhost as a mask in the case that they do not want to show themself, and may also interact with or control the body via the lockhost. In the case of a lockhost being an introject, it would not be uncommon for several doubles of the lockhosts source to also be present in the system.

Lockhosts may also act similarly to 'Observers,' in that they are always aware of the body to some degree, and can quickly be pulled to front in the case that they happen to not be fronting in the traditional sense. The lockhost may also serve many other roles in the system, but not always.

In the case of a lockhost also being part of a subsystem or side system, they may or may not be a lockhost of those as well.

Soooooo how common are sudden influxes of fictive headmates? It's been a while since we had a bunch show up at once, but didn't experience it with fictives before. For reference, body has ADHD and the host has had a hyperfixation on a specific media for well over two years. Yesterday we experienced.... About 5 or so fictives of that media popping up? It's exhausting, disorienting, and everybody is severely confused

Along the same trail of thought, is there a word for two fictives who are technically the same person but behave completely differently? Say, a fictive of a character from when they were a young adult and then there's another fictive of that same character of when they were far older? Is there a way to keep them calm, because they're severely freaked out by each other's existence?

Headmates with the same source are usually called Doubles. Not sure if there's a specific term for doubles that are very different from each other, but they're still Doubles.

As for influxes, for some, yeah. There are a lot of systems out there who will have periods where they form a lot of headmates super fast. Saying that every system is different feels like a cop-out, but every system is different. 🤷‍♀️

We've never experienced what you're describing because we're a relatively small system and always have been, but I bet many people reading this will relate!

How To Add Emotes To Simply Plural

How I got the emotes on sp

Firstly ill explain how i put got them onto sp ^^ Theres really 3 things you need to think of when putting your own emotes on sp, however, if you dont want to do all this, I will provide the list of emotes ive used! As shown above.

1. Getting the emotes.

2. Sizing them down.

3. Image hosts.

I simply got my emotes off here, tumblr, I no longer remember which blogs i got them from, but theres many you can find and download.

After that i used ibis paint on a small canvas, i shrunk them down to fit, and used the sharpen tool to make them clearer when needed.

Then i took them over to a image host, i reccomend catbox, as itll give you plain links, to allow the links to work, you can format into . Itll now show the emote next to any text.

Now this part goes for if your using the list below or making your own.

I highly reccomend downloading a copy and paste keyboard app!! I personally use autopaste keyboard, this is on android !! It allows you to paste the emotes wayyyy faster ! If requested i canand will do a tutorial on how to use and organise the app

Pro vs anti in regards to endogenic Systems is not productive. It won't accomplish anything. The misinformation is COMING FROM BOTH SIDES.

We need to start ignoring origin as a topic to be exhaustedly argued about in a purely circular manner and start combating the misinformation on both fronts because it doesn't matter what origin someone has when it comes to validity or existence. What matters is the misinformation being spread by BOTH sides.

I think a huge thing some people are missing about the "God is plural" topic is the larger implications.

It's not just "God is plural, and that's cool."

"God is plural" is a starting place.

The real importance, I believe, lies in Genesis 1:26.

And God said, "Let us make man in our image, after our likeness"

Man was made in the likeness of God. And this verse is generally considered to be referencing Man's spiritual or mental attributes. Most agree that we don't literally look like God.

And this very verse uses plural pronouns to refer to God. The Hebrew word for God used here is Elohim, which is also a plural word.

While God being plural would be cool in itself, I feel the bigger and more important point is that if God is plural, and mankind is made in the likeness of God, then it adds further credence for Natural Multiplicity from a Trinitarian perspective.

what's the general template you use for your pk posts?

Hihi im going to assume these are both from the same person!! I actually make simply plural templates, so my process may be different from others

I do not have a general templates, as i dont like to be limited ! But my general work flow is, what do they need? Will they need to search for the info i add? Do they want it heavily decorated? How much is too much?

So for example

What do they need

They need basic intro information, name, age, gender, sexuality ect

What will they need for alter searches

Theyd need source, species, role, possibly origins

Do they want it heavily decorated

Maybe they do, maybe theyve said a specific theme they want, maybe theyve said their experienced

Or maybe they are new to this typea thing, and need more basic information, easy to fill in, or they dont want a theme

Is it going to be too much info

Do i need to simplify it? Will it look cluttered? Will it take me too long?

After i got that all in my head i get to work with an idea :3 hopefully this helps!
