I always get incredibly surprised and a bit frustrated when people complain about Callum getting the most screentime and focus like... He's the main character??? He has always been and will always be the main character‚ no matter how many arcs they make. Callum is the protagonist‚ Rayla is the deuteragonist and Ezran is the tritagonist‚ from the very first episode. Of course they are getting most screentime and development. Of course things are going to dance around Callum's arc‚ you liking another character more than him won't rip him off from his main boy status.

hakita once said that v1 is not the main character of ultrakill and i've always found this idea so cool in the sense that we get to explore a narrative that absolutely does not give a shit about us. though our actions as v1 have large and devastating effects (cough gabriel cough) the character of v1 undergoes no changes. this isn't about us! we're simply going through the world with no clear intent to change it. shit just happens and we're there to be a bloody witness.

...that said, i find it infinitely more interesting that v2 plays a similarly insignificant role in the story. that v2 is another poor thing that the story doesn't give a shit about. it is one of two (so far) recurring bosses and what happens to it? it fucking DIES! except v2 gets development. except v2 has some clear intent when it seeks revenge. v2's arc is so similar to gabriel's except it is doomed by the narrative—sadder yet, it is abandoned by the narrative! v2 is living in a story that does not give a shit about it but it's somehow sadder to me....

[The video seems to have been filmed from behind a large rock formation on Mt. Chimney. Near the caldera's edge, a large machine is built with a meteorite suspended within a glass dome in the middle. In front of it stands the Neo-Magma leader, decked out in a suit of red, black, and gold. They're surrounded by scientists, and they seem to be turning the machine on in phases, preparing to trigger an eruption.

Leader ???: Ah, so you made it. I've heard some interesting things about you, Mr. Normanns—

The leader is abruptly cut off by Skipp walking straight up to them, cocking his arm back, and open-hand slapping the leader so hard they lose balance and fall into one of the scientists. There's a brief moment of uproar from the members of Team Magma before the video cuts off.]

Not to be on negativity on main, as I'm simply not that kinda person (I'd rather focus on the good fun stuff) but there's one detail worrying me about these elections.

I've already seen people say they'll vote certain candidates even though they DON'T LOG IN AT ALL, just to get the chance of seeing one of their favorite ccs on here.

If these elections were simply to add a person, I wouldn't have cared at all. But the fact that being president involves a bunch of other stuff here, it feels really unfair to vote on someone who barely knows anyone on the server, does not log in, does not know the lore, etc.

Yes this is about Wilbur although the same can be said about some other ccs. Read the tags.

Ngl, every headline I've seen feels like a fever dream. I would love to have these two as a line up, both for their potential as drivers and cause it would be fucking hilarious (the content we could get it's my Roman empire) but I honestly don't think of it as a possible out come, I would also rather have Jos Verstappen as far from the Merc garage as possible.

And even as a gax enjoyer, in this particular scenario I still prefer that Merc seat going to Alex (I'm rooting for him so hard, also if that Williams seat is free, maybe Fred can get there)
