       Clint didn’t remember exactly how they moved to this position during the night. Sure, they fell asleep watching TV in the same couch together, but from that to waking up in each other’s arms... there was a great distance. And most importantly, there had been no alcohol involved.

       The warmth of her body against his own was soothing, and the smell of her hair right under his nose so new and familiar at the same time. This was just Carol... and yet Clint could not explain the sudden happiness that seized him the moment he realized what was going on.

       Without saying a word, the archer pressed her closer in a tighter embrace. He didn’t even care if she was sleeping or not, it was still soft and enough for her to feel more comfortable. His hand also reached for her blonde hair, stroking it slowly.

It had become quite the hasty morning, but not for the usual reasons.  In their new, budding relationship, Peter and Carol had still been in that period when neither could get enough of the other.  It had started with sleepy kisses, laughter, and errant touches under the covers, but soon enough would become something far more intimate.  She keeps him on his back, and before long she’s rocking her hips against him.

I was terrified to bring him on, as a character who has always been incredibly close to my heart, and incredibly scared I would not do him justice.
