Hice el examen de dibujo de la selectividad después de fumarme un porro. Recuerdo perfectamente la cara del vigilante al entregarle mi lámina A2 con el dibujo final, un poco como la de este emoji 😦 (o igual fue el efecto el porro). Lo pasé realmente bien esos días. Como ya había entrado en la universidad de Londres que quería, para mí se convirtió en un trámite bastante relajado con el puntillo justo de nervios divertidos, de los que tienes cuando vas a quedar con un chico por primera vez. 

Un año después, mientras iba a por mi café rutinario en Jolene Redchurch, recibí una llamada de la Generalitat. Al principio estaba convencida de que me iba a caer un palo tremendo, que me iba a tocar mesa electoral o alguna putada por el estilo, pero enseguida me revelaron que lo que querían era mi permiso para exponer aquel examen de dibujo en una ceremonia de premios de los mejor cualificados de ese año. Accedí con la condición de que me enviaran alguna foto porque no iba a poder asistir y no recordaba el dibujo en cuestión realmente. No recibí ninguna foto, pero buscando en Twitter algo como #pau18, encontré una del presidente de Cataluña de ese momento junto a mi dibujo. Pensé en lo orgullosa que estaría mi profesora de catalán, que me aprobó por pura pena (nunca consiguió que aprendiera a usar bien los “pronoms febles” ni a transcribir fonéticamente).

Pues esta semana me toca hacer de primer vocal en las elecciones del Parlamento. De verdad que no entiendo como me ha podido tocar a mí, estaba absolutamente convencida de que después de mi amistad pública con el señor presidente, sería “azúcar” de por vida para estas cosas.

Before The Beyond (1981), before City of the Living Dead (1980), before Zombie (1979), director Lucio Fulci mastered the Giallo subgenre throughout the 1970s. The Grue-Crew tune into his comparatively subdued feature The Psychic (1977), also known as Sette note in nero, aka Murder to the Tune of the Seven Black Notes, aka Seven Notes in Black. Fulci displays only a hint of the gore and bizarre narratives he would embrace in the decade to come, opting to stick to a fairly straightforward, supernatural-infused, murder mystery where psychic Jennifer O’Neill witnesses visions of a deadly and bloody murder. Of course, twists and turns follow each new discovery as she follows the clues to the shocking conclusion. 

At the time of this writing, The Psychic is available to stream from Kanopy, Tubi, and Popcornflix. The movie is available on disc as a Blu-ray from Scorpion Releasing.

Un Día Henial

Quedamos con Cob (que ha perdido presencia de persona guapa o más bien la he ganado yo) y Bip (que ha perdido presencia de persona audaz o más bien la he ganado yo) e Índigo (que sigue igual imponiendo Estilo).

Fuimos a comer a los Pipos (los pepos) donde nos sirvieron calamares fáciles de comer de primera tapa con cerveza justificada piso-hetéricamente (flashback de cerveza cumpleañera). Me puse en modo escucha (no sabía muy bien qué decir).

Y mis intervenciones pasaban algo desapercibidas en un ambiente amistoso-conocido.

Sin duda, el trío lepero (vuelto a la vida, pues Cob y Bip no se llevaban bien durante un tiempo), es uno de los más friensísticos

(autoconsciencia de la amistad como relaciones sociales con ciertas características)

(hablamos de lenguaje enriquecido y archiconocido mediante y por las referencias).

Me dijo Cob que me parecía a un chico que estudiaba Teología (lo cual nos recordó teólogo que sigo en tw).

Faltaba, por comparación, la chispa de la borrachera-loca de septiembre en Canoapiso.

Pero luego me di cuenta de que estaba bien así.

Al rato llegó Bip, que se apuntó a la tapa pero le sirvieron otra no muy fácilmente comestible.

Y a Cob y a mí nos sirvieron un huevo frito porque pedimos No-pescado.

Tras los pepos fuimos a casa de Índigo a descansar (yo estaba muy cansado por la medicación).

Y nos propusimos ir a San Miguel El Alto.

Fuimos a San Ben El Alto, tras mucho sufrimiento.

Y nos sentamos en el césped con dos litros.

Vida universitaria. Momento henial.

Realmente cobré consciencia de lo bien que había hecho al irme a Granada.

Luego Cob se fue. E Índigo, Bip y yo nos unimos al excrush de Índigo, en su piso para tomar helado y botella azul vodka.

Yo bebí dos cervezas, conseguí emborracharme al puntillo y me fui para mi casa. Simplemente un día henial.
