Purcon Panel: Misha is talking a lot about Destiel and the relationship between fandom and the production right now. Like a super long answer. When he first started he was talking openly about Destiel because he didn't know it was taboo, and when he got told "we don't do this here" he wanted to break the taboo anyways. He also said he was always playfully interested in Destiel but also that he repressed some of his feelings about it at first. When Robert Berens came to him in s15 he was like "we can do that?". He also mentioned how awesome it is that he is now on a show with not just straight white cis men (basically) and that it is normal to have gay or trans characters. Sorry he really gave a lengthy answer but I tried to summarize it as best as I could. He added in the end:

"We could have done more and we could have been more inclusive but I was glad that we made it as far as we did"

everyone's problematic!! yes, even that one, yes even you. that's life etc. i could've probably made this and include every actor from spn but i want this to actually be useful to people, so i made my own (i guess slightly biased cause that can't be avoided) decisions in that. i tried to make it as lighthearted as i could but unfortunately some actors have really made a mess of things so read with caution if you're easily triggered

again, i trust you to draw your own conclusions and do your own additional research. that also applies to actors i didn't include here. i'm not gonna tell you where to draw the line and who you should or shouldn't support. a lot of newbies get lost sometimes and this is for them

I did autograph pictures of everyone else but I really wanted to let Misha sign this, so it fits with Jensen.

The handler gave it to him and he laid his GIGANTIC HAND on my picture and I was like:

OMG don't do that!!! It's pencil!!

And he took his hand away and looked at me with big eyes and said he's sorry. He thought it was a print haha.

It was a nice experience though, he was really relaxed and we had some time to talk to him.

So Jared was supposed to come to Germany to Infinity con with Gen and Purcon two weeks later was supposed to be Jensen and Misha.

They've just announced a change in plans. Gen cancelled completely and Jared is coming to Purcon instead.

(I'm just glad I've got at least a Saturday ticket for Purcon.)

Misha: That's not, that's not in my other book?

Sally: No. It's only in the Russian copy.

(Laughter)

Sally: Did you not know this?

Misha: Eeh, that's not, that poem is not in the US, English version?

Sally: No, at least not in mine, in the first print.

Misha: Maybe the version you have is just a knockoff, like a...

Sally: No, (laughing) it's not.

Misha: Okay.

Sally: Nobody has it, except the people who have it in Russian, and English...

Misha: Well, that's fascinating. Thank you for bringing it to my attention.

(Small laugh)

Sally: Okay, so there's no reason for it?

Misha: Ah, I didn't know that, thank you.

Sally: You're welcome.

(iirc, someone on the audience shouted that it's about a plane, but I can't hear it in the video.)

Misha: It's about a plane?

Sally: Yeah, eeh, yeah. It's about boarding the plane. Wait, I'll look. (Pause) It's call to 15B (or) it's called 15B

Misha: Yeah.

Sally: Did you put it in? (Laughing)

Misha: I didn't.

(Laughter)

Misha: No, I guess some Russian translator wrote that poem. Ehm, that's interesting, okay.

Sally: Okay.

Misha: I'm gonna do some research on this, trying to figure out how that happened.

(Small laugh)

Misha: Thank you.
