Does anyone else find that the more they understand a movie the more they feel like crying on every viewing?
Like I never used to cry at Kung Fu Panda or the first httyd or Megamind but now that I’m older and I fundamentally understand the characters and themes and plot and can appreciate the music, lighting, animation, fight choreography, character nuances and just all that jazz there are certain scenes that’ll make me choke when they don’t even warrant tears.
Ok ok hear me out - Horror but as Death from Puss in Boots. I think that design would SLAP. He'd absolutely rock that cape thing and the dual scythes!
Horror!Death???? Awesome idea~ I don't have time, but will work on more scenes/design because the movie was frickin amazing. For now, have this quick image I couldnt stop seeing in my head xD This part was spooky!
Their name is Alex Barker (lol) I wanted to tie them into a nursery rhyme as well so I chose the Hot Cross Buns. And mainly, Alex would be the child that the mother would give them to.
But in this story, I think Alex would have been the only child to continue with their mother’s recipe and just wanted to make ends meet so they got a job at Jacks factory.
And since this is a shipping character, I imagine Alex would be super nervous around Jack - as anyone would - but his presence just makes them nauseous. They don’t want to disappoint Jack in any way. But, Alex has this huge crush on Jack as well.😨
One day they decided to make their buns at the factory, just to keep that routine and not forget how to make them. But Jack finds out and looks extremely pissed off.
Aaand, I didn’t think about what would happen next 😭
I think they would freeze at the sight of Jack though. Thinking of many things that they find extremely attractive about him. Sometimes trying to get their section to finish their batch first but then just moves away from the front inspection or keeps their head down the whole time.
Just saw Puss and Boots 2: The Last Wish. Holy mother of god that’s one of the best animated movies there is. Watching great movies like these is reigniting my passion for the arts, and making me really happy to be alive. The struggle with mortality, the earning of trust, the realization of truths, it’s all shockingly emotionally resonant, and all pulled off in an incredibly visually striking animated movie.
