I think that if you let me, I'd treat you like the sky, I'd join up all your insecurities and bundle all your flaws. I'd create a new constellation and search for it endlessly.

I know you don't see yourself, the way I see you.

And you still argue, when I call you beautiful. But all the things you can't stand about yourself, are all the things I can't go a day without.

I think that if you let me, I'd build an observatory, just to show you that all the stars will never shine as bright as you.

उस रात कमरे आसमां भर आया था,

वो आंखों में चाँद भर घर लाया था।

वो दफ़्तर से जल्दी छुटा था उस रोज,

वो सारे ख़्वाब कागज़ पर लिख लाया था।

हम तकते रहे थे, चुप कमरे में देर,

वो मेरी कहानी और किस्से सभी के पहले ही शायद पढ़ आया था।

उसने पता भी न पूछा था मेरा किसी से,

मोहब्बत के सहारे बस वो आया था।

उसने कुछ कविता करी, मेरी नज़रों में उसने आहें भरी,

मैं बेसुध- वो बेबाक हँसता रहा। सारी रात वो मुझे थामे रहा।

घर जो था मेरा अब मेरा नहीं था, हिस्सों पर मेरा अब कब्ज़ा नहीं था

सुबह हो चुकी थी- और वो वहीं था।

घर का मेरे अब एक एक नया दावेदार था

कमरे में मेरे मेरा नया आसमां था।।
