Arthur and Merlin never getting a happy ending is fucked up but think about Gwen. That woman lost her mother, her father, her brother, had to watch her best friend not only resent her but slowly lose her mind and turn evil. She lost her first love and her husband. She was imprisoned, tortured, enchanted and exiled. Uther planned to execute her, she had to watch Merlin getting more and more depressed and she somehow not only survived but stayed good and ruled a kingdom in the end? And there are people who hate her wdym omg
