I have made it clear several times that I do not want TERFs and other bigots to interact with my blog.

I got a questionnaire for jury duty, as if I didn’t need another thing to add to my pile of responsibilities this year.

Our school got “randomly” selected for field testing this month. I’ve been asked to come into work on Saturdays to tutor for state testing. I have been proctoring one on one language tests this entire month. From April to May, I’m planning, proctoring, and organizing a major state exam. In June, I’ll be planning, proctoring, and organizing other major state exams. I belong to a school leadership team that must meet once a month. I belong to a department team that must meet once a month. I have monthly mandatory professional development. I’ll probably be planning the curriculum for our summer language program, which I will also probably be working. I help plan and coordinate activities and field trips for an affinity group. I have a two day conference in April. I have to coordinate and organize 20+ language projects which will be presented in front of judges at another conference.

All of this on top of having a mostly brand new team of people in my department making me the senior most person who not only has to make a lot of major decisions, but train everyone else on what to do.

I am really trying very hard right now to not completely fucking break down but this goddamn mail I got today is about to be my last straw. I have been doing so well since graduate school ended in terms of not having full blown panic attacks and having a decent sleep schedule but this entire year my insomnia has been worse. Not only that, but my mother is dependent on me for transportation. I am chronically ill. I know both of those things could prevent me from doing jury duty, but I haven’t been able to get a proper diagnosis for the majority of what I’m going through because no one takes me seriously and I’m not officially listed as a “carer” for my mother. This is the shittiest system the country has come up with in order to provide jurors for court cases - “randomly” selecting people who could more often than not be moments away from a complete mental breakdown because they keep getting handed more and more and more and more and more fucking responsibilities. I Need. A fucking. Break.

And I already “served” jury duty during COVID ffs

Just to make it clear to everyone, I love TLOK not only because of korrasami. I honestly think that TLOK is a terribly underestimated and misunderstood show. That's why I don't reblog from some of the unfortunately more popular fandom blogs, because of their terrible takes on themes and politics from the show. I don't care if they make good art or say something positive about korrasami if they also say something I find absolutely wrong or ignorant about the show itself. Maybe soon I will answer some of them, when I find enough time and patience for it.

idk why ppl get so surprised each time the mcu films, or ppl involved with them, do something awful. most recent was that sabra character post, and theres always someone on anti-mcu posts acting like its a shocker

mayb if all the marvel media you know are the spiderverse films and some of the comics, then not knowing stuff ab the mcu isn’t unexpected. (and i gotta say, other than the references to the mcu in atsv bcuz of its multiverse narrative, those films are still in a league of their own as a story.)

but. if you hav any knowledge ab the mcu. you should know they’re propaganda, always hav been. mcu is extremely pro-military, one of the main characters is a war criminal and hes treated like a hero!
