Lin glanced up at the young Avatar from where she sat curled up on the sofa. She had been forced to take time off after a line of duty head injury, and Tenzin had insisted she stay at Air Temple Island during her recovery, rather than stay cooped up in her apartment on her own. She folded the corner neatly on a particular page in the book of poems she was reading, a one of many favorites, and left her index finger in between the pages before letting it rest in her lap.

❝Speak for yourself,❞ she mused, watching the rain fall. She appreciated the sound more than anything, when it came to rain. Lin especially did not mind it if there was no where she had to be. ❝No one is forcing you to stay inside. You are a water bender after all - rain isn’t really an issue for you,❞ Lin answered.

Asami pouted playfully. Then she reached up, grabbing Korra’s shirt to pull her closer to Asami’s level. “I can now.” She said with a smirk, getting on her toes to finish closing the distance between them, and kissing her.

      “𝓘 don’t care how many times you ask...” Opal’s words trailed off for a moment as her expression furrowed into a frown of disapproval. “You can’t just eat a whole cake in one sitting. That’s not healthy.” As fun and tempting as it was, it wasn’t practical, especially as a breakfast food at this time.

👫 - Korrasami

Send a 👫and I’ll write four headcanons I have about our muse’s relationship

asami-- who is by no means short at nearly 6ft tall, if not 6ft tall-- feels extremely short around korra. (specifically in the alt verse) and gets insecure about it, sometimes. 

korra continues to take driving lessons from asami. eventually, she learns the difference between the clutch, the brake, and the gas pedal. she struggles at first-- which she despises and almost gives up on driving, but of course, asami doesn’t let her. korra eventually gains more confidence in her driving abilities and challenges asami to a race. (she loses, but still).

(in response to the above) korra also teaches asami how to use an air glider. she never quite gets the hang of it and says she prefers to drive airplanes instead, but enjoys the experiences.

while in the spirit world, the two stumble across uncle iroh. he is the first to notice the connection between them and-- as he does-- decides to play match maker.

Well. He couldn’t argue with that. At first he opened his mouth to ask why exactly she decided that 3 am was the perfect time to indulge in her hunger but snapped it shut again, thinking: ‘if you can’t beat ‘em, join ‘em’ instead. “You know what? You’re right. What kind d’you got? I’ll take one, too.”
