women's sports is one of the loudest and most successful anti-patriarchy campaigns in human history. what women's sports did and does is prove, over and over again, the excellence, the raw power and strength of the human woman. it completely disrupts ideas on gender.

you have big, powerful women in rugby. fast, endurable women runners. impeccably strong gymnasts. women with strong, large bodies that take up space. that are HEALTHY. they are not RESTRICTED or ladylike. they are free of the stillness/deadness that femininity demands. no corsets. no (aesthetic) thinness. no hourglass bodies for gawking. women's sports screams to society "we are fully human, not objects, not small men. we are not domestic dolls. we are hunters and foragers. fighters."

why do you think men are so vitriolic about it? why don't they want women in football? why don't they want it televized? why do they keep harassing female basketball players? why do they insist on dressing women in sexualized uniforms? why do they now make it taboo to exculde men from women's sports?

i firmly believe it's because women's sports tears patriarchal gender ideology apart so effortlessly. it completely spits in the face of patriarchal political propaganda and shows how null it is. it forces all of us to view women as full, as the beginning of human excellence, as central to human history. not as decorative sexual objects, no matter how men want us to be.

that's why there's so much aggression and derision when it comes to women's sports from men. because women's sports destroys the idea of femininity and depicts women as non-derivative. women must be monsters and cannot afford to play into the childlikeness that femininity demands. the arena of sports forces us to focus on women's physical performance rather than appearance. their strength rather than how attractive they are. their skill and strategy. their humanity. it is a form of entertainment where all female roles are agentive and active rather than passive.

women's sports events are also hotbeds for female and lgb solidarity like you have no idea!

y'all need to start watching women's sports. not only because it is exciting, but it deprograms the patriarchal bullshit out of you so fast. you realize how much is possible. how much we can all achieve right now.

Thinking about Maria MacLachlan's (PeakTrans) latest video and how she excellently described the process of a feminist left-wing women (like JK Rowling) becoming critical of the trans movement.

At first, you are basically in what she called a 'blissful ignorance'. Your opinion of the trans movement is "live and let others live". Then you start to notice little things that are just plain wrong, like men stealing trophies from women and lesbians being told they are not allowed to tell on a dating app that they are into females only.

So you decide to voice your opinion. You say something like, "I have nothing against trans people who just want to live their lives, but i find this [particular thing] harmful and unfair". You are assuming and fully expecting in your blissful ignorance, nothing more from it. Maybe a bit of debate, but mostly understanding since all these points you made are good points after all, and this is the self-proclaimed feminist LGB+ "be kind" brigade so the rights of women and gay people should matter, right?

Instead, you receive abuse. Not just any abuse, but misogynistic abuse, threats, doxxing, lies, twisting your words, and attempts to make you lose your lifelihood.

First, you are shocked, but then you start to feel angry. Angry and betrayed. You start to wonder how many others like you have been shut out and silenced by trans activists. You may start by looking up "that one woman" who you think was not entirely treated fairly, but you had earlier decided to accept the trans activists' version that she is just "a bigot".

You find out that despite trans activists vehemently claiming some things never happen, they do happen. They just willfully ignore them. You find out people criticising trans movement are feminists, LGB people, concerned parents, medical experts, and even trans people themselves. Trans activists just lie when they claim they are far-righters and conservatives. You find out they do not want trans people dead. It is the trans activists who send them death threats and show up to their events to "punch terfs".

And you become angrier, so you decide you will not be silenced. You decide to talk more and raise more awareness. The more you criticise and the more you share, the more abuse trans activists send to you. And the angrier you become.

Then the useful idiots see your anger and are convinced you are just a hater that should not be listened to. Why else would you be so angry?

Okay so no offense, but is this guy like... intellectually disabled? I mean, it's really hard for me to comprehend that as a thirteen year-old, you don't know that as a boy, you don't go into the women's restroom. I imagine that the mom told him to go to the women's restroom when he was like six or something, and assumed that he'd stop doing that when he was older. Idk, this doesn't really sound like something that a child with a typical intellectual development would do.

Also, this story is so weird. First of all, how did he know that he should leave because he is a boy? And secondly, how do you know that your "friend" didn't tell her father to send you away because she thought that you were being weird? I remember that when I was younger and didn't have the guts to tell a friend that I was uncomfortable with them, I would tell my parents to invent some kind of excuse to get me out of that situation. If your friend was really comfortable with you, she would have sought your company by herself afterwards, right? Also, maybe the dad just sent you away because dinner was ready or the girl was grounded or something lmao

okay, this is the worst part. This is what I really hate about men complaining that the world is so "cruel" to them and that women are so cold. They keep on whining and moaning and complaining, but not ONCE do they ask why women behave this way. Do you fucking know the experience a twelve-year old girl has to make to behave in this way towards men? Do you know WHY women do that? BECAUSE IF WE DON'T, WE GET FUCKING KILLED. But instead of fucking talking to other men to change their creepy ass rapey behaviour, you'd rather complain about women being so mean.

I'd rather let a thousand men get depressed because I'm hostile towards them than give one man access to me and get raped or killed as a consequence. You want empathy? How about you afford it to the women who are afraid of you?

I was simultaneously not “pure” enough because of something I didn’t have any control over but also I wasn’t “sexually liberated” enough because porn made me deeply uncomfortable and I felt a major sense of guilt for not thinking it would help me “take my sexuality back” to sell some disgusting old man photos of my naked body. I didn’t feel like I had any place in feminist spaces, and actually healthy feminist spaces would have really helped me during this period of my life

Why do men use misogynistic language SO OFTEN... Bitch, pussy, slut, cunt, etc. are literally like 80% of men's derogatory vocabulary. If these insults have nothing in common like being all misogynistic then why is it that all of them in specific are by far the most common things men will yell out... Do you ever see men yelling out asshole, dick, or whatever at the same frequency? Because I don't. Also. When men do use insults like asshole or dick it's more often meant as jest.
