Imagine a version of Metropolis where the chieftain managed to figure out how overseers worked and modified their eyes and turned them back on to display messages and news to their city. Now imagine being in Metropolis as Artificer and overseers are all over the city displaying flashing red messages for the scavengers to evacuate the city immediately, showing Artificer’s face in the projection along with the outlaw symbol. Across the city you can encounter scavengers that are rushing at full speeds over to the city gate, all of them having a very low bravery stat. It’s clear that any scavengers that stay in place and patrol the city have chosen their path to protect their chieftain.

RAIN WORLD ARTIFICER AND RIVULET DOWNPOUR SPOILERS

okay i’ve spoken about how much the sundown theme being used in sparkling pendulum (which plays in the rot) makes me emotional, but i’m going back and playing another art run to try getting the ascension ending, and stepping into metropolis is still as magical as it was the first time. partially because progfox’s outstanding job on this track that plays when you first enter it.

i don’t know how to explain other than by playing the game itself. any song with the sundown motif is instantly 1000 times more emotional. i can’t find the words for it, but in Lost City it’s almost, orchestral? but only one instrument lol. it just feels so grand but hollow. melancholy, like an anthem from a dead civilization.

i think a better way to put it is that it SOUNDS exactly how metropolis looks. i don’t have synesthesia but something about listening to this song, the image of these towering abandoned skyscrapers on the desolate dusty rooftops of iterator cans and walking through the graffiti-adorned concrete gutters and alley whilst looking up at the sunlight above, fills my mind, and the same thing vice versa whenever i look at metropolis or play through it, even if the threat theme is playing already. it’s just that powerful of a track and a location.

my rain world hyperfixation has gone to the next level. this isn’t just some ordinary obsession. i am CAPTIVATED in every way

Drainage System: that one child no one likes still has some charm. Some of the best tracks come from there along with a unique design. If you look past the noob trap flaws drainage hides hidden beauty.

Metropolis: Scavengers as far as the eye can see, the city atop of Five Pebbles has no rain and some of the best threat music. Metropolis has a lovely design especially those pearl rooms as well as a above the clouds view [so we can see the stars.] Metropolis is basically a city in the sky.

So I remembered that I can infact digitally paint, the background isn't as rendered as it can be, but i'll make good backgrounds one day!

I haven't completely explored metropolis, so I hope this is somewhat accurate
