Yesterday evening we lost power around 8:30. This morning at 5:30 it was still off, so my husband and I dragged the generator (the one that refused to work during the last power outage, and had to go to the small-engine-fixer) out of the woodshed and set it up. We ran extension cords to the fridge and freezer.

Power came back close to 7:00, but we're leaving the generator in the driveway for now - just in case.

Boom

"Are You Shitting Me?" local woman asks quietly, as yet more thunder starts up in the distance.
