16 Aug, BOS @ BAL, 12-10, win
Well, that was fucking wild. But we won. It was a proper rollercoaster, another bullpen night but one with a far better result than some of the previous bullpen nights. We couldn't breathe until Kenley J got the final out, but when we could breathe, we breathed with a smile. Not just because we won after a ridiculous game that went back and forth and back and forth and back and forth but because we beat the Orioles, which has proven so difficult to do, and slugged the shit out of them when their best starter was on the mound. Yes, we gave up a lot of runs, but we scored more, so that's sort of ok. Yes, I am deeply sad that Dom Smith's been DfAd because he was such a stalwart whilst Casas was injured, but I am very happy Casas is back. Anyway. That game was ridiculous. I'm glad we won it. Let's look at the bright sides.
Masa Yoshida is in his zone. He was 3-for-4 with 4 RBIs, a three run dinger, and his swing looking just great.
Raffy was 2-for-4 with a two-run dinger and the most ridiculous bloop RBI double I've ever seen.
Dave Hamilton looked good, going 2-for-4 with a two-run dinger against former Sox closer and mythical sea monster Craig Kimbrel.
Jarren Duran went back-to-back after Hamilton against Kimbrel with a dinger. He was 3-for-5 and contributed to the team. I am conflicted about making him a bright side considering what happened. I think when he does good baseball things I will mention it but I'm not going to have fun with it anymore. His actions hurt and disappointed a lot of people, including me, and whilst he served his suspension I'm still hesitant to heap praise upon him without further evidence of genuine contrition.
Kenley Jansen struck out two and allowed zero hits, giving up zero walks in the bottom of the ninth, sealing the win and allowing Red Sox fans the opportunity to breathe again. Thank you Kenley.
We won!
We beat the Orioles! In Baltimore!
Let's win again and then win again so that we can win the series!

Exploring Peer-to-Peer Investments Through a P2P Lending Platform in Jabalpur
In today's fast-changing financial world, investors continually seek avenues to grow their finances while being mindful of risks. However, many individuals primarily focus on mutual funds and stocks for investment, unaware of the broader spectrum of available options. Let's explore the challenges investors face and learn how a P2P lending platform in Jabalpur helps them with the best investment opportunities.
Tumblr media
Understanding Investor Challenges in Alternate Investment Avenues
As people try to make more money from their investments, they face problems because they don’t know about different ways to invest.
High Barriers to Entry:Investing in assets like real estate demands substantial capital, thus limiting access for many investors to diversify their portfolios effectively.
Opaque Investment Processes:Traditional investment structures can be complex and difficult to comprehend, making it challenging for investors to understand underlying risks and potential returns.
Lack of Information:Not having enough details about where to invest can make it tough to choose the right option. This might make people hesitant to invest at all.
Low Returns:Sometimes, the money invested doesn't grow much, offering lower profits compared to what people expected.
Limited Diversification:Investors might not have enough different types of investments. This lack of variety can make their money more at risk if one investment doesn’t do well.
Lack of Personalised Recommendations:Generic investment advice fails to cater to individual financial goals, risk appetites, and investment horizons, impacting the relevance of investment decisions.
The Potential of P2P Investments in India
Mutual funds are a reliable investment avenue today, but there are more such promising asset classes unexplored by investors. Swaraj FinPro, the best mutual funds investment services in Jabalpur, offers investments in one such asset class with Peer-to-peer (P2P) lending, backed by RBI guidelines where individuals can lend their money on higher interest while other individuals borrow funds from multiple investors through a digital platform. This transformative approach creates a marketplace connecting borrowers and lenders, facilitating secured personal loans while managing the loan life cycle to provide monthly returns to lenders. Here are the benefits of P2P lending platforms for investors:
Higher Potential Returns
P2P lending platforms typically yield higher interest rate to investors, compared to conventional savings accounts and investors can potentially benefit from higher returns up to 12%*.
Diversification Opportunities
By investing across a variety of borrowers on P2P platforms, investors can spread their risk and potentially increase returns by diversifying their investments.
Accessibility and Specific Advantages
P2P lending provides access to investments previously unavailable through traditional channels. Investors can participate with smaller investment amounts, diversify portfolios, and select the tenure.
Passive Income
P2P lending allows investors to earn interest regularly, providing a potential source of passive income.
Potential for Higher Yields
As investors can choose the tenure and interest rates they are willing to accept for lending, there's potential for higher yields based on their risk appetite.
Tailoring Investments for Investors
Swaraj FinPro empowers investors in Jabalpur and pan India to explore P2P lending as an accessible, reliable, and potentially lucrative avenue for diversification and growth within their investment portfolios. P2P lending works well because it's clear, gives different choices, and doesn’t lock your money away for too long.

How Can NRIs Invest in India With NRI Services?
Non-resident Indians (NRIs) hold a unique position in the Indian economy. They are not only a valuable source of foreign exchange, but also a potential force driving the country's growth story. Navigating investments in India can be a bit confusing for NRIs. Understanding where and how to invest amidst regulations, tax implications, and diverse options can feel tricky, which is why, NRIs willing to invest in India can rely on NRI services, which make investing easier as per the rules set by RBI and SEBI under the Foreign Exchange Management Act (FEMA).
Where Can NRIs Invest in India?
NRI services encompass a range of financial solutions tailored specifically for non-resident Indians seeking to invest, manage their wealth, and connect with their homeland. It is vital to understand where NRIs can invest in India.
Tumblr media
Equities
NRIs can invest directly in Indian stocks through the Portfolio Investment Scheme (PIS) by the Reserve Bank of India (RBI).
Mutual Funds
Investing in Mutual Funds offers various choices like Equity, Balanced, Bond, and Liquid Funds. Unlike direct equities, NRIs investing in Mutual Funds do not require PIS permissions from RBI. However, some restrictions may apply to NRIs from the US and Canada due to reporting regulations.
Government Securities
NRIs can invest in government securities on NRE and NRO basis, each with different tax implications based on the type of investment.
Fixed Deposits
Investment opportunities in fixed deposits are available for NRIs through Banks or Non-Banking Financial Companies (NBFCs), each with its tax implications based on the NRE (Non-Resident External) or NRO (Non-Resident Ordinary) basis. NRIs can also invest in Foreign Currency Non-Resident (FCNR) fixed deposits.
Real Estate
NRIs can invest in real estate except for certain property types like agricultural land, farmland, or plantations.
National Pension Scheme (NPS)
NPS, a retirement savings plan, offers tax benefits. Contributions can be made from NRE or NRO accounts, but the pension must be received in India.
Portfolio Investment Scheme (PIS)
PIS allows NRIs to trade in shares and debentures through a designated bank account. It helps regulate NRI holdings in Indian companies, preventing breaches of set limits.
How Experts Simplify NRI Services?
Experts like Samarth Capital simplify the investment process by providing guidance, ensuring NRIs make informed decisions aligned with their goals. Here’s how they make investing easy for NRIs.
Helping open NRE / NRO savings and PIS bank accounts.
Setting up brokerage and demat accounts for trade.
Monitoring your portfolio regularly.
Engaging tax consultants for compliance.
Understanding Taxes and Rules
For NRIs, it's crucial to understand tax implications in India and their country of residence. Compliance with the Double Tax Avoidance Agreement (DTAA) and filing taxes in India if taxable income exceeds the exemption limit is important.
Wrapping Up
Investing in India as an NRI offers diverse opportunities. With guidance and a grasp of regulations, NRIs can navigate this landscape effectively and make the most of available avenues. Samarth Capital, not only facilitates NRI investments but also helps foreigners invest in India with FPI services. So, whether you're an NRI or a foreigner, investment in India isn't a far-fetched dream anymore.

Junior Rhythm Dance #WorldJFigure (1/2)
Thought it would be fun to share some thoughts on one of my favorite events of the year. Junior ice dance has become an increasingly international field, with smaller federations increasingly sending teams. It has some of the most diverse choreography that we see in any discipline which is always a treat. And even teams who are not at the top level bring so much creativity to the field. Here are my *very* short notes on the first 20 teams in the RD by starting order, time stamps for each team are in the heading.
My top 4 favorite rhythm dances to watch in terms of creativity and performance (not what I think they should've scored): Bordet/Gipoulou, Slatter/Ongay-Perez, Li/Wang, and the Straub siblings.
youtube
1 - Yucel / Ivanov @ 16:41
Lovely use of tango movements like ganchos and mini-lifts both into and out of their pattern. Obviously, not the highest technical level but compositionally this was an extremely difficult program for a less experienced team. Lovely timing and arch on the layback straightline.
2 - Roberts / Alis @ 22:54
Great to see Spain fielding more ice dance teams. Super interesting twizzle placement spatially, on the music, and between the two pattern sequences. Beautiful split with turnout by Alis in the rotational lift, love to see the lifted partner hit a difficult position. Really enjoyed their music choice and choreography.
3 - Straub Siblings @ 29:25
I have to say all these junior teams are hitting it out of the part with their opening choreography, great balance of difficulty and creativity with lifts and ganchos. Lovely extension out of that first set of twizzles it is such an awesome demonstration of edge control, less sync on the second set of twizzles in their second set but overall love the construction. She has lovely extension and flexibility which are so well showcased in their SlLi. Love the leaning almost slide (similar to FB/S's choreo slide) that they do as a transition out of their pattern. Loving the use of their stop and slides in the MiSt.
4 - Dovhal / Kulesza @ 35:48
Awesome use of that slide and interlocking toe steps as a segue into their pattern. Very difficult assisted back walkover entrance into their twizzles in addition to the 2 3turns between sets 1 and 2. Interesting back to back hold at the tail end of 2AT. Farrucas is incredibly hard music to live up to in a MiSt but I though the kick to twizzle entrance was very clever. Wish their curve lift had slightly fewer arm movements but very ambitious exit.
5 - Beznosikova / Leleu @ 42:18
This is one of the youngest teams skating at this worlds. You can tell at times with the disconnect between their movements, its a lot of different choreo in the midline which might be a bit too ambitious for their level. I have to say I think their tango portion is a much stronger style for them interpretively. This is a good opportunity for them to grow and they have 5 years left to improve, and will have plenty of opportunities to represent Belgium in the future.
6 - Stanley / Sosnenko @ 54:48
Super impressed with this team's edge depth in the pattern. Some very clear issues with control at times but those knees and relative ease of edge will serve them well as they continue to develop. I believe they're one of the newest teams here and I'm excited to see how they continue to improve as they represent Mexico. I think I would've had them ahead of the Belgians just because of their relative ease in the pattern, and very well executed RBI Counters in the MiSt.
7 - Benkiewicz / Shapiro @ 1:01:00
Right into the twizzles, got all their levels even with losses in sync. Better edge control in the pattern from these two, solid RFO step from B in 2AT. Vivaldi all the way through is an ambitious music choice because it is so fast pace that think it at times makes them feel a bit bogged down in the steps, absolute bummer about the fluke fall.
8 - Li / Wang @ 1:07:40
Awesome to see some Chinese juniors back on the circuit, very strong opening twizzles from them with great demonstration of running edge. Always interesting when teams choose to do 2AT vs 1AT, probably the weakest portion of the RD for me and their edge depth and control was much improved in the midline. Difficult straightline involving a lot of core strength. They are both individually such strong performers with so little international experience, cannot wait to see how they improve as they are already so well matched.
9 - Kim / Lee @ 1:13:55
K/L are one of those teams very similar in stature who have very coordinated lines, extension, and knee bend. A little farther apart in 2AT than 1AT but solid execution throughout. Great save on the twizzles with that slight dip by Lee in the first set. And fabulous execution by Kim in the midline she has very neat steps and turns. Hopefully this performance in conjunction with Lim/Quan will encourage KSF to keep investing in ice dance!
10 - Vainik / Barshak @
The first team to get the majority of the key points on one section of the pattern, big improvements in speed from the rest of the group. She had a little bobble on the XB-RFIO in KP1 which is why she missed it. Interesting straightline lift exit, like the creativity and immediate control on her skating leg. Some very obvious incorrect edges on the swing twizzle and open S-step in 2AT. IMO both of them looked much stronger to me in hold than in the MiSt.
11 - O'Brien / Wiederkehr @ 1:48:00
Wow, very standout music and composition choices. A little tentative in the cross roll section but nice control and spacing as well as posture in the second section. Very nice lunging slide transition out of their straightline as well. Midline is just a little frantic, you can tell they're a bit out of gas.
12 - Slatter / Ongay-Perez @ 1:54:15
Strong first section of the pattern in terms of spacing, posture, and control. They're slightly off on timing which messed up S's IO edge changes but overall well done. KP 1 and 2 of 2AT were a little messy in that 1Tw and open S-step but really amazing posture for a team with a pretty exaggerated height difference. Great in hold choreography across the rink into one of the most difficult rotational lifts in this competition, love the entrance and exit. Very nicely executed twizzles with a very difficult entrance. Teeny bit out of sync in that midline but a very demanding element. The youngest team at this competition! They have 5 years ahead of them at this level to help develop that polish in partnering and overall skills.
13 - Carhart / Horovyi @ 2:01:13
Very aggressive in the opening choreography but so much more in control and nice defined curves on the ice in the pattern with by far the best SS at this point in the competition. I think they could've used a bit more contrast in choreography and speed of movement in between the tango and flamenco sections by making the tango more tense and restrained, maybe fewer high kicks and lunges and more variety. But really lovely basics and great sync throughout the midline. Slightly scary moment on the one foot feature of the rotational lift but great skate.
14 - Tali / Frasca @ 2:07:57
A few creative hold moments throughout their pattern, she had a beautiful LFO in the lead up to her swing twizzle, showing great control in their leg movements but at times they drift apart. Great lunge to slide transition out. Overall very nice speed and the best sync so far in the midline even when doing different turns. He has a funny footwork thing he does in the RoLi which makes me slightly nervous for him catching a toepick but very well executed.
15 - Hauer / Starr @ 2:14:35
Interesting opening choreography, for a team with relatively good skating skills and power they felt a bit stiff in hold. Midline was a bit mismatched in execution and synchronicity, felt like H was maybe a bit nervous. Well executed rotational lift and performed all the way through the end of the program.
16 - Bordet / Gipoulou @ 2:27:00
Loved their take on the tango, felt distinctly different from what we've seen and more quirky. Very fast in the twizzles but felt like they were twizzling independently. Difficult CuLi with great execution, love that he is also using his hands and expressing. Loved the interplay between the two of them in the midline. She has standout edge depth to me, a little nervy on the first set but fantastic execution in remaining close in hold, matching free legs, and edge depth.
17 - Tkachenko / Kiliakov @ 2:33:25
Interesting program construction putting 2AT at the very beginning. Interesting choreography in lead up to the twizzles but minor losses of sync. I think the changes in hold and positioning they made in 1AT threw them off timing in K's 3turn. Demanding SlLi but just a little off in the midline in terms of sync.
18 - Yu / Giang @ 2:39:40
Another team coached by Wing/Lowe that is very well matched in terms of skating level and movement, free limbs are very well coordinated. Difficult jump into that first set of twizzles like the transition as well. Both a little flat in 2AT which hurt them on both levels and execution but much better in the midline with very consistent edge depth and smooth curves on the ice. Absolutely stunning split position by Y, one of my favorite RoLis at this event, I think with their lift and better sync throughout on the midline and twizzles I would've had them ahead of T/K.
19 - Karl / Hoferichter @ 2:45:40
They feel very fluid across the ice, really nice carriage and execution in 1AT, not sure if they got nervy but just much sloppier in 2AT given their skating ability. Nice speed and sync in the twizzles and very difficult curve lift with great choreography on exit. Slightly out of sync on the choreo in the diagonal step, which showed in the late ending but overall very nice skate and they have fantastic basics with knees and power.
20 - Gauthier / Thieren @ 2:52:00
Good ice coverage in the twizzles, but not a ton of choreography into or out of them connecting the elements. MiSt3 felt high to me given their brackets and counters being pretty flat. Fun She looks slightly off balance at times in the pattern where her free leg and arm is off to the side compensating for her CoM. Her LBO to RFO step in KP3 of 1AT is pretty shallow. Very flat in 2AT as well, I think I would've given them a basic level. They clearly have quite a lot of power and soft knees but not fantastic edge depth and their choreography both between elements and in element complexity is much lower than choreography attempted by teams who scored much lower. I'm not sure I would've scored them in the top 13.
Overall a fantastic event and let me know what you think!
Part 2 with the last 10 skaters will be up tomorrow!

Okay, I'm totally too close to your wips, SO I'm asking about RBI King since I am not sure on that one, but I have an inkling you've mentioned it.
And just cuz...
Tumblr media
I think I told you about it like 3yrs ago maybe, and I’ve got 6k words and it’s all Dean and this woman snarking at each other in Rufus’ cabin and running the bases, hence the name lolllll
I imagine her as LA-era Cordelia Chase. 🤩
“What is this, some kinda sex torture dungeon?” Christine saunters down the stairs, two fresh beers in her hands. She’s sock-footed and has taken the heavy flannel off, so Dean can appreciate her physique. She’s stacked with a small waist and flat stomach, full, round ass, and long, strong legs.
“What d’you want?” he asks, trying to sound as annoyed as possible.
She scrunches up her nose. “Rude,” she says. “And I even brought you a beer.” She stops in front of him, her hip cocked to the side.
“I’m rude?” He accepts the beer from her as she plops down next to him and props her feet up on the small coffee table next to Dean’s. “Listen, lady, you’re the one infringing on my very fucking rare vacational opportunity.”
“Oh, I’m sorry,” Christine places her hand over her collarbones in a mock pearl-clutching fashion. “Is there a lot of high demand in the lumberjack world these days?”
“Really, though,” she nudges him playfully and Dean realizes that she’s coming onto him. “What d’you do for a living?” she asks sweetly, batting her eyes and sipping her beer.
“You’re a real fuckin’ charmer. Super makes me wanna tell you all my secrets.”
“How is a person’s occupation a secret?” she looks at him like he’s crazy.
“You have no idea.”
She gasps in mock surprise. “Wait- oh, my god, are you CIA?”
“Sure,” Dean answers. “Let’s go with that.”
“Sweet.” She kicks her feet up on the small table next to his. “So, Dean, this is an odd assortment of furniture ya got here. What’s the story?”
“It’s a cabin in the woods?”
“Now you’re making it sound creepy. I hope you don’t have like a white-washed Captain Kirk mask down here.”
“That’s Halloween,” Dean rolls his eyes.
“Fine, whatever,” Christine says, slowly straddling his lap and settling over him.
“Christ,” Dean grumbles, the irritation he’s trying so hard to project not quite filling his voice. “Now, what’re you doing?”
“What does it look like I’m doing? Besides, I don’t feel you objecting. Just shut up and let me thank you.”
“What’re you thankin’ me for?” Dean brushes a thick swath of her hair over her shoulder.
“Saving our lives,” she says, combing her fingers through the soft hair at his temples and cupping his bearded jaw.
Dean hums. “Sprained ankle ain’t exactly life-threatening.”
“Let’s just say, you came along right when I needed you.”
“I’ll take that,”

Lesson #109
We've certainly all heard of Jackie Robinson and understand the groundbreaking role he played (and the risks he took), but today I'd like to honor Robinson's teammate Roy "Campy" Campanella, who blazed quite a remarkable trail of his own. Born November 19, 1921 (Happy birthday!) in Philadelphia, Roy showed an early athletic talent and was reliably picked as captain of nearly every school sports team in which he played. Eventually he began playing for the Negro Leagues in 1937, having dropped out of high school to do so. First picked up by the Baltimore Elite Giants, he then did a stint in the Mexican Leagues for the Monterrey Sultans. His big break came in 1945 when he was signed as catcher for one of the Brooklyn Dodgers' farm clubs. Originally slated to play for the Danville (Illinois) Dodgers, that team's management decided they were not yet ready for racial integration and so Campanella instead started with the Nashua (New Hampshire) Dodgers, which in so doing became the first integrated professional baseball team.
Campanella officially joined the Brooklyn Dodgers in April 1948, only a few months after Jackie Robinson. Ten seasons with the Dodgers followed, a span which also included 8 appearances in the All-Star game and 3 National League MVP awards. Perhaps most significantly Campanella was catcher for the Dodgers' historic 1955 World Series win over the Yankees, himself hitting three home runs in that series.
Sadly Campanella's professional career was cut short when he paralyzed his neck and spine in a car accident in 1958. However he remained a high-profile member of the (now Los Angeles) Dodgers organization, in various public relations and coaching roles. He was inducted into the Baseball Hall of Fame in 1969 --the second African American to be so honored. His jersey (#39) was retired by the Dodgers in 1972, along with those of his teammates Jackie Robinson (#42) and Sandy Koufax (#32). Campanella died on June 26, 1993. In 2006 the L.A. Dodgers created the Roy Campanella Award, given annually to the Dodger who best exemplifies "Campy's" spirit and leadership.
Career batting avg: .283 Hits: 1,401 HR: 260 RBI: 1,017 Stolen bases: 34
Campanella's MLB stats page
(I know I've repeatedly stated that I wanted to mostly steer away from celebrities, musicians, and sports figures in this ongoing series, but on this occasion I will admit to being unable to resist the opportunity to draw what amounts to an actual baseball card!)

Amazon Pay India CEO: UPI is Revolutionizing Credit Growth
Tumblr media
The Indian digital payment landscape has witnessed remarkable advancements recently, particularly with the success of the Unified Payments Interface (UPI). Following this, the Reserve Bank of India (RBI) has announced the launch of the Unified Lending Interface (ULI). At the Global Fintech Fest (GFF), the National Payments Corporation of India (NPCI) introduced UPI Circle.
In a recent interview with Outlook Business, Vikas Bansal, CEO of Amazon Pay India, and Mayank Jain, Director of Credit and Lending, discussed the implications of these innovations for India’s fintech and digital payments ecosystem.
Q: NPCI recently launched UPI Circle. When can we expect Amazon Pay to implement this feature? Will there be any infrastructural changes needed for integration?
Vikas Bansal: This is a significant innovation that will further enhance UPI adoption. We are actively working on integrating UPI Circle. Initially, it will be rolled out within a closed user group, with plans to expand to the broader market later. This fits into our ongoing product development cycle. While I can’t provide a specific timeline yet, we are already in the production phase.
Q: Amazon Pay has reached 100 million customers on its UPI platform. How have you navigated a market dominated by a few major players?
Vikas Bansal: Our focus is on the long-term vision of making UPI payments more accessible and convenient for customers. This has guided our strategy, and we intend to continue in this direction for the next 5–10 years or more.
The UPI space is filled with opportunities for all players. Innovations such as credit on UPI, RuPay credit, offline payments, and delegate payments are essential drivers that will further expand the UPI ecosystem.
We always prioritize the customer’s perspective, identifying their challenges and finding unique solutions to enhance their payment experience.

Comprehensive Guide to NBFC Registration in India: A 2024 Perspective
Non-Banking Financial Companies (NBFCs) play a crucial role in India’s financial sector by providing services that traditional banks often overlook, such as asset financing, microfinance, and infrastructure lending.
As the Indian economy continues to grow, the demand for NBFCs has surged, making them a lucrative business opportunity.
However, establishing an NBFC in India involves navigating a complex registration process governed by the Reserve Bank of India (RBI).
This blog provides a detailed guide on the NBFC registration process, eligibility criteria, required documents, necessary licenses, and the benefits and challenges of becoming an NBFC in 2024.
Understanding NBFCs: A Quick Overview
Before diving into the registration process of NBFC, it’s important to understand what an NBFC is.
An NBFC is a financial institution that offers various banking services but does not hold a banking license. Unlike traditional banks, NBFCs cannot accept demand deposits, such as savings or current accounts, but they can offer loans, credit facilities, savings schemes, and investment products.
NBFCs are regulated by the RBI under the RBI Act, 1934, and are classified into different categories based on their activities.
Eligibility Criteria for NBFC Registration in 2024
The RBI has set forth stringent eligibility criteria for registering an NBFC to ensure that only credible entities enter this highly regulated space. As of 2024, the key eligibility criteria include:
Minimum Net Owned Fund (NOF): The company must have a minimum NOF of ₹10 crore.
Incorporation: The applicant must be a company registered under the Companies Act, 2013, either as a Private Limited or a Public Limited Company.
Directors’ Expertise: At least one-third of the directors must have relevant experience in finance, particularly in banking, finance, or economic management.
Creditworthiness: The company’s promoters and directors must have a clean credit history, free from any defaults or blacklisting by financial institutions.
Ownership and Control: Foreign investment is allowed in NBFCs under the automatic route, but ownership and control should remain with resident Indian entities.
Documents Required for NBFC Registration
Documentation is a critical part of the NBFC registration process. As of 2024, the following documents are required:
Certificate of Incorporation: Issued by the Registrar of Companies (ROC) under the Companies Act, 2013.
Memorandum of Association (MOA) and Articles of Association (AOA): These documents should clearly state the financial objectives of the company.
Detailed Business Plan: A comprehensive business plan covering at least the next three years, including projected financial statements, market analysis, and growth strategy.
Directors’ and Shareholders’ KYC Documents: This includes Aadhaar, PAN, passport, and photographs.
Net Worth Certificate: Certified by a Chartered Accountant (CA), showing that the company has the required NOF of ₹10 crore.
Credit Reports: Personal credit reports of all directors and shareholders from credit bureaus like CIBIL.
Bank Account Details: Proof of the NOF being deposited in the company's bank account.
Income Tax Returns: The last three years' income tax returns of the directors.
Audited Financial Statements: The company’s balance sheet, profit & loss account, and auditor’s report for the last three years (if applicable).
Step-by-Step NBFC Registration Process in 2024
Here’s a detailed breakdown of the NBFC registration process in 2024:
1. Incorporate the Company
The first step is incorporating a Private or Public Limited Company under the Companies Act, 2013. The company name should reflect its financial nature, as per the naming guidelines provided by the Ministry of Corporate Affairs (MCA).
2. Ensure Compliance with NOF Requirement
Deposit the minimum NOF of ₹10 crore into a bank account under the company’s name. This amount will be locked in until the RBI grants the Certificate of Registration (CoR).
3. Prepare the Necessary Documents
Gather all required documents, including the business plan, NOF certificate, and KYC documents. Make sure all documents are duly signed, notarized, and attested where necessary.
4. Submit the Online Application
Submit the application through the RBI’s COSMOS portal. You’ll need to upload all the required documents electronically and pay the applicable fee.
5. Submit the Physical Copies
Send hard copies of the application and all documents to the regional office of the RBI. Ensure that the documents are submitted in the prescribed format.
6. Respond to RBI’s Queries
During the review process, the RBI may request additional documents or clarifications. Promptly responding to these queries is crucial to avoid delays in the registration process.
7. Receive the Certificate of Registration (CoR)
If the RBI is satisfied with your application, you will receive the Certificate of Registration, allowing you to operate as an NBFC in India. This certificate must be prominently displayed at your place of business.
Licenses and Approvals Required for NBFCs
Apart from the RBI’s Certificate of Registration, certain NBFCs may require additional licenses based on their business activities. These include:
NBFC-MFIs (Microfinance Institutions): Require special approval to offer microfinance services.
NBFC-Factors: Need to register as Factors under the Factoring Regulation Act, 2011.
NBFC-Investment and Credit Companies (NBFC-ICC): May need approvals if they engage in credit activities like issuing credit cards or offering loans against securities.
Benefits of NBFC Registration
Registering as an NBFC offers several advantages:
Wider Market Access: NBFCs can cater to a broader market, including underserved segments like MSMEs and the unbanked population.
Flexible Operations: NBFCs have fewer operational restrictions compared to banks, allowing them to innovate and offer customized financial products.
Growth Potential: With India’s growing economy, NBFCs have significant growth opportunities, especially in lending, asset management, and microfinance.
High Returns: Given the high demand for financial services, especially in rural and semi-urban areas, NBFCs can generate substantial returns on investment.
Challenges in NBFC Registration
While the benefits are significant, there are also challenges:
Stringent Regulatory Compliance: NBFCs must comply with numerous RBI guidelines, including regular audits, reporting, and adherence to capital adequacy norms.
High Capital Requirement: The initial NOF of ₹10 crore and ongoing capital requirements can be a barrier, particularly for small businesses.
Operational Risks: NBFCs face various operational risks, including credit risk, liquidity risk, and market risk, requiring effective risk management strategies.
Competition: The financial sector is highly competitive, with NBFCs competing against banks, fintech companies, and other financial institutions.
Conclusion: The Importance of Professional Guidance
Registering an NBFC in India offers numerous opportunities but comes with its set of challenges. The process involves strict compliance with regulatory requirements, and missing out on any detail can lead to significant delays or rejection of the application.
Therefore, it is crucial to seek professional guidance to navigate the complex registration process efficiently. With expert assistance, you can ensure that your NBFC is set up correctly and is well-positioned to thrive in India’s dynamic financial landscape.
By understanding the updated eligibility, documentation, and procedural requirements, as well as the benefits and challenges of NBFC registration, you can make informed decisions that align with your business goals. As the financial landscape continues to evolve, staying informed and prepared will be key to your success in the NBFC sector.

12 June, PHI @ BOS, 6-8, win
Holy shit we managed to come from behind and win a game! And not, like, behind by a run or two, but being shutout 4-0 and then coming back and triumphing. There's a bit of the optimist in me that wonders if this might be a turning point. Now that this very young team with a lot of potential has seen that coming back is possible, will that give them the confidence to do it more often? Has this opened up a realm of possibility? It should be noted that we managed this comeback against one of the very best teams in baseball and now have the opportunity to win the series against them. That makes me happy. Would I have been happier if we had actually, you know, not dropped to 4-0 down in the first place (Nick Pivetta struggled a bit over four, which is sad because he's been very good of late), but if we are going to do that, then coming back and winning with some cool plays is definitely the way to do it. Anyway, plenty of bright sides.
Jarren Duran went 3-for-5 with a RBI and a run scored and played good left field. He also, I understand, got to Fenway by riding a sandworm.
Raffy Devers went 2-for-4 with a run scored and he scored that run because he hit a triple! His third of the season! He smoked the base path. It was great. And he scored a run because Jamie Westbrook, one of the season's happy stories, knocked him in with a sac fly.
Dave Hamilton's rough start to the season seems more and more a distant memory. He went 2-for-4 with a 2-run dinger and 2 runs scored and played good short stop.
Tyler O'Neill knocked a run in and took a walk.
The Red Sox actually walked as many times as they struck out, six and six. That's good.
Bobby Dalbec took a walk and that led to him scoring a run. He also missed a catch at first but still. Good eye, kiddo.
Ceddanne Rafaela went 2-for-3, scored a run and also took a walk without even striking out once. That's pretty great.
Enmanuel Valdez came in to pinch hit and hit an impressive wall-ball two-run double. Sadly he tried to make it a triple and was thrown out, but I was still pretty happy for him. Also took a walk.
Booser and Slaten were the only Sox pitchers not to give up runs. Good job you two.
We won!
We managed a comeback!
We could win the series tonight!

Identify the Early Signs of Investment Scams and Take Action to Prevent Them
Tumblr media
Sophisticated investment scams are increasing in popularity, depending on innocent individuals by offering minimal risk and high rewards. It is very important for investors to identify the early indications of criminal activities in order to avoid losing their hard-earned capital. You may protect your financial future and prevent being victimized to these scams by being aware of how they occur.
Guaranteed High Returns with Low Risk:
The assertion of certain high profits with minimal or no risk is one of the most common diagnostic signals of an investment fraud. Unfortunately, there is no safe investment that guarantees the huge profits without the risk of loss. Investors frequently get duped by scammers into believing they can earn risk-free returns that are far higher than market rates; this should cause investors to become suspicious. Keep in mind that there is risk that comes with all investments, and that risk increases with possible income.
Pressure to Act Quickly:
Scammers frequently use high-pressure tactics to push investors into making quick decisions. They might claim the opportunity is "exclusive" or available for a limited time to create a sense of urgency. Legitimate investment opportunities allow time for you to research and make informed decisions. If someone pressures you to invest without giving you time to think it through, it’s likely a scam.
Lack of Documentation or Transparency: As when making any financial investment, clarity is mandatory. You need to exercise concern if any another person or business marketing the investment rejects to offer documentation in writing, plain terms, or an explanation of how the investment performs. Detailed information, such as risk factors, financial reports, and regulatory reports, is always provided by an experienced investment. Offers that are unclear or don't have the necessary paperwork should cause skepticism.
Unregistered Investments or Advisors: Before investing, always check whether the investment is registered with the appropriate regulatory bodies, such as the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) or equivalent in your country. Similarly, verify the credentials of the person or entity offering the investment. Scammers often pose as financial advisors or experts without the necessary licenses or registrations. A quick background check can help you avoid fraudulent schemes.
Historical Data on Investment Scams:
Over the years, investment scams have evolved with advances in technology, but the core tactics remain the same. The infamous Ponzi schemes, like Bernie Madoff’s $65 billion fraud in 2008, highlighted how even sophisticated investors can fall prey to scams when they overlook red flags. Data from the Federal Trade Commission (FTC) and the Reserve Bank of India (RBI) show that investment scams cost investors billions annually, with new frauds emerging in both traditional and digital spaces, such as cryptocurrency scams.
How Investsphere Can Help You Avoid Scams:
Investsphere focuses a high priority on the health of your finances. Our team of experts offers you in-depth support when evaluating possible investments and thorough investigation on reputable investment alternatives. We support you with the process of performing an investigation, or making sure that all of your investments are safe, open, and legal with applicable laws. With Investsphere's assistance, you can keep clear of fraudulent schemes and make investments with confidence knowing that a reliable partner is at your side.
Conclusion:
It helps to identify the clear indicators of investment scams in order to protect your money. Offers that look too good to be true, ask you to make judgments quickly, or lack clarity should be avoided. Make sure the investment and the advisor are authentic at all times. By collecting the correct data and direction, you can secure yourself from fraud and create a stable financial future. Investsphere is here to support you at every stage if you need assistance analyzing investment options.
