You know what, I like you, let me share my headcannons/thoughts on an AU I recently mentioned...

Fable smp Coffee Shop AU...

• Sherb runs a 24/hr (or late opened) Cafe, The Alchemist Brew. They specialise is mixing different coffee flavours to create a new taste and can even create one for a persons specific need or even mood.

The people that have often come in say it was exactly what they needed; students coming in to study found they work best with Icarus' creations - jokes that they put a focusing chemical drug in it. People on first dates say they added an ingredient that was a big ice breaker for them to bond over. A few cases come in home sick and the drinks taste like home somehow.

• Rae runs another cafe in a different part of town. It's a more traditional place, more old fashioned, rustic aesthetic.

Rae got to take over this place a lot sooner than he thought.

His mother went missing when he was young and his step-dad, Fable, left a few years ago. Icarus' was supposed to take over the buisness but they wanted to do their own thing, especially since Rae and Icarus had different ideas on how they should run the place.

So Rae runs the Gilded Cafe. While keeping the more traditional things on the menu, Rae also explores the history with Coffee. Makes ones how they would make it 30, 50, 100 years ago and happily, shares it with their customers.

• Athena is learning how to open their own bakery (Flour Garden) with Jamie. They offer their goods as a trial to both Gilded and Alchemist Brew Cafe. This way they get to try new foods and have people taste test them and both Cafes get a unique item on their menus each week. The feedback from customers is always appreciated and it sparks new ideas for foods and types of foods.

• Momboo runs a flower and tea shop, The Pink Tulip, both as a seperate transaction but has a talent for getting sweet tastes out of nature's prettiest petals

• Which is a dramatic comparison to her sister, Ocie/Kai, who runs a bar, Sea Dragon, iconicly known for its underwater sailor/pirate aesthetic and strong drinks to match

• Wolf is a business analyst and has helped with the businesses as well as a few others around town

• His partner, Centross, helps manage the Sea Dragon. A couple years ago, he tried to start a buisness with Icarus and Easton (who is a real estate agent), but it crashed and burned real quick. Wolf talked to Kai and she was generous enough to help Centross get back on his feet and they ended up working really well together.

• Aax works in the Gilded Cafe with Rae. He came to Rae looking for work - one in a new town with no connection to the Telchin company. They were awful, treated their employees terribly, and they would use special artificial chemicals in their drinks to make it taste like flavours (Hazlenut, vanilla etc), never the real thing, even their machines were designed to cut corners with brewing.

• Ulysses is still with Telchin, casual, but is still in the town with his Partner. He used to be able to do beautiful coffee powder art, but since the accident in the shop he can't even hold a cup steady.

• Will runs little a Cafe - The Traveller - based on flavours around the world, some places he's been lucky to actually travel to. Seven helps him run the place and really good with machines so they never have to worry about things breaking.

• Now all these businesses have their challenges, but Icarus feels they have an extra one...

A night club across the street 2 doors down, "The World Port". It's an exclusive place and Icarus had heard a few things about it.

It's a jack of all trades types of place, has accommodation for any events, Bachelor party's, birthdays, buisness meetings, heck even wakes.

Icarus' problem is that - for some reason - the owner recommendeds The Alchemist Brew to their customers as a place to sober up. Which would be fine if that didn't mean nights of drunks coming in, making a mess and passing out. They somehow get their mail mixed up as well, and The World Port is loud and makes it hard to focus on work.

• The World Ports concept is to be a place for everyone. It's main area is a bar with a dance floor and great music. They have sectioned off rooms, identified by colour, each room can accommodate for certain events. You could hold 3 different events in once.

• Smaller Headcannons/Notes:

• Caspian comes into the Gilded Cafe as a place to write his stories. He started going there for the nice coffee and cozy vibes, but the manager seems really nice and passionate about his work, so he kept coming in and is now a regular. And the Barista working there is cute nice to talk to as well

• Rae grew to appreciate the small talks with Capsian while on shift. He's even made it into a few pages of Raes sketch book - that will never see the light of day - but that has nothing to do with anything! Rae always draws random customers for practice! Despite Aax pointing out that he draws Caspian more.

• Aax and Rae are dating and are peeking interest in Caspian.

• Wolf and Centross are dating, though Centross is showing interest in Kai. He would deny it to hell and back even though everyone can see it.

• Icarus gets new ingredients/inspiration from their friends. Athena and Jamie's creations, Momboos flowers etc

• During the business Icarus, Centross and Easton tried to run, Icarus made a purple drink that turned out to have an addicting side effect. Part of the reason thee business failed.

• Since the World Port is exclusive, Icarus can't get in to talk to the owner. However, there have been times when they've come into the Alchemist Brew, and Icarus has just not been in there at the right time to see them.

• If they don't want to deal with maintenance companies, the other owners ask Seven to come over and fix their equipment, especially if it should be a simple fix.

• Galahad works at The Traveller and suggested their own mix of a spicier blend

Frank originally had gone to New York with his newfound family as a summer vacation. They'd be spending 2 weeks there before heading to the Bahamas. But Frank could hardly stand his new family for a day, let alone weeks. So when he'd met Scott, he took a chance.

They met at a cafe(how cliche)frank assumed he was a girl from behind and went up to flirt with him, only to be jump scared by the most beautiful man he'd ever seen. He did in fact spill his coffee all over him and while trying to wipe Scott off with napkin touched his titties. Scott then proceeds to ask him out.

They moved in together almost immediately, both claiming it was just out of necessity. (Scott would say it was out of the kindness in his heart, not wanting frank to deal with his family, although he never understood why someone would turn down a trip to the bahamas for new york)

They started dating one night when Scott was making the two of them dinner. Spaghetti if he remembered correctly. Frank had taken a bite, moaning at the delicious taste and saying "Ain't I the luckiest boy in the world? I have a hot babe for a boyfriend AND he can cook". He hadn't even realized he'd said boyfriend until Scott pointed it out. He was embarrassed, ducking his head down and blabbing out that they didn't have to be boyfriends if he didn't want to, but Scott silenced him, shoving a meatball in his mouth before pecking him on the lips.

Frank admits to being a virgin 3 months into their relationship, so they decide to take it slow

For Good: Is there anyone in your OC's life who had an undeniable positive impact on who they are as a person? How did knowing this person improve your OC's life?

It would probably be Roe!! They met a couple of years prior to the events of the game and she is one of his few close friends. The two met at his father's estate one night when el was storming out of the place. El had just decided to cut off all ties with his father & was dealing with a lot and Roe was able to keep him afloat. She's the one person to know who his father is and stayed with him as he tried to rebuild his life after he broke things off with his buisness partner. If he hadn't met Roe El would've fucked off to the forest where he grew up and found himself living a very isolated life that he probably wouldn't have wanted to continue so he owes her a lot. more than that though the two get on well and for once he hs a friend that isn't worried about using him for gold or his connections seeing as she has enough of her own. when they're reunited it lifts his mood a ton and gives him another reason to get the job done

Friendship: What's your OC like as a friend? How are they at making new friends? What are the most important friendships in your OC's life?

El is a good friend to those who earn it! He protects those he cares for and will do almost anything for the people he calls a friend but he's learnt the hard way that he can be too quick to trust. He's often loyal to a fault which is something he learned the hard way and has fallen victim to his friend's own ambitions in the past, enabling them to take advantage of him. He would've called the inner circle of his crew true friends until they betrayed him for some coin and power but now he has Roe & Brandy As the game goes on he slowly becomes cloest with Astarion + Shadowheart. he puts up a shield and lets the others think that they know the real him, the others aren't privy to his whole story until they reach the city.

Past: Does your OC have any past partners? How did the relationship(s) end? Are any of their exes still in their life, and if so, do they get along?

he has one (loser)! Zyl who was the brother of his ex buisness partner (Vana) . The guardian takes a form similar to the both of them as they were twins. (this wasnt fun for el to see and is very ??? to think abt when u remember el fucks the emperor in this form)

The two kept their relationship secret and somehow did for almost a decade, not wanting to complicate work but in the end it fell apart when El was betrayed. he only knew who to blame thanks to Zyl who told him and gave him info on where to find Vana. They broke up around 2 years prior to the game & as far as El knows Zyl is still somewhere in the city.

Exit: Has your OC ever had someone important leave their life in a way that was unremarkable, unintentional, or clumsy? How do they feel about it? Is there any chance they'll meet again?

Think this can be about Zyl again. Their breakup was a very quick thing. The moment Zyl told El that Vana was the one who framed him Zyl asked if it was the end of them. El said yes and left soon after that. El never tried to go looking for him after they said their goodbyes and saw him as a part of a time in his life he wanted to be over. El doesn't hold many negative feelings for Zyl but merely sees it as something that wasn't meant to work out. He realised that he didn't even really fight to keep the relationship going. It was just something that was never going to last. I might have them meet again once the group reach the city but there are others el's going to reunite with first.

First: Has your OC ever been the one to leave first? Why did they go, and who did they leave behind? Do they regret it?

The day El was taken by the mindflayers he had left Roe after an arugment. it was their biggest fight since meeting and the first time el had left something unresolved between them. it started over nothing and blew up into a huge fight that had both of them throwing things. at one point Roe used magic and El said enough was enough and left Roe's estate without another word. El didn't even get time to think about the fight until he had crashed on the beach. he spent most of his downtime over the next few days worrying about Roe and if she was safe as he was taken close to her house. it made him watch his temper but didn't stop him from snapping at the group when he got wound up. He doesnt enjoy being angry and if possible gets it out through fighting but when hes pushed over the edge its nasty and he tends to run before he does something he cant fix.

Future: Is there anyone your OC is looking forward to meeting or to seeing again? Who? What might that meeting or reunion look like?

He wants to see Brandy again. especially after finding out more about shadowheart & the shar scene in the city. as far as he knows she's still in the city but he'll end up finding her at last light. Brandy actively tries to sabotage their attempts at fixing the land surrounding moonrise and after shadowheart spares Aylin, Brandy leaves the group. El doesnt find her again until the confrontation at the sharran cloister. He also wants to pay his father a visit. because with his amount of near death experiences hes done with letting what his fathers done to him slide. at the very least he wants to have a go at the man. its not gonna go well!!

i am so normal about working fucking 9 to 5 on every free day, staying backstage until 8 every night after school, sewing in the dark with music blaring, napping in the dressing rooms, everyone helping eachother with homework, laying on the floor, practicing makeup with the old crusty brushes, writing notes on the walls to future costumes members, seeing that one costume piece with the lipstick stain on it pop up again and breaking down into tears, driving out to thrift stores and fabric shops and getting lost in musty clothing.

the rush of YESSS when your costume gets approved by the director, actors stealing our snacks (this soda is NOT for nico), putting wigs on the mannequins, someone getting a haircut at least once a week, the wall of shame for anyone who breaks a prop or eats in costume, box dyeing the actors' hair, hearing them getting stage directions from downstairs, walking down to props on a break, opening the lighting closet with the butter knife and hoping you don't get trapped up there, countless bags of microwave popcorn, the string lights that always fall down when you least expect it, the inspiration board slowly filling with sketches and blueprints and swatches of fabric and neatly printed schedules.

crying backstage to the saddest numbers in the play, trying to fit clothing racks in the elevators, pizza runs and company dinners on the stairs, everyone in their best black techie outfits, cultlike pre-show traditions, frantically running up and down the stairs doing your checks, clapping in time with everyone during games and dance circles, watching the actors scramble to cover their costumes so they can get a snack on break, laying on the floor in the dark in complete silence listening to the monitor, hearing the music play one last time as you wait to run onstage for curtain, measuring the actors and getting to meet them for the very first time, sorting through mountains and mountains of men's dress pants, trying desperately to find a pair of size 8 shoes that aren't missing a heel.

trash bags as barber's capes, going through 4 cans of hairspray a day, someone fell asleep right before the set change, having to check every item meticulously to make sure it's the right color, getting whacked by the pride flag in the doorway, having to wait at the top of the stairs with target bags and a carrier of coffee when the costumes room is locked, sitting in the back of someone's car on the way to the diner and stopping next to a rival car at the light, all the clothing in costumes being free real estate, walking out of the wood room covered in sawdust and dried paint, praying that someone can get a sponsorship from a buisness so we can build just one more set piece, dancing in silence in the wings, hoping the audience can't see richard even though he backed into the sight lines, finishing that quick change JUST in the nick of time, high fiving actors when they KILL a scene, writing the saddest notes imaginable to everyone on closing night and seeing everyone's letters taped up on the mirror.

QUICK ABOUT:

Nori’s family is in real estate in Denver Colorado. 

She got married just out of high school and is the youngest of three. 

 She was always curious, and when pressed she would tell you she wanted to be a reporter, something her parents never approved of. They wanted her to go into buisness or law or anything that could help grow their legacy in Denver. 

Her parents didn’t like Marcus, but it made Nori like him more, unfortunately her parents were right. They didn’t last. 

Nori was known for being impulsive and making bad choices just to get on their nerves in her later years but it was never this extensive they never cut her off, but the family grew distant and by the time she was 24 there was no contact at all. 

She didn’t get to fix the relationship with them as they died on a car accident when she was 25 but she somehow has felt closer to them after they passed than in life. 

They tried to fix their marriage, but between her grief, and just getting older she wasn’t the same person she was at 18 and neither was he. They finialized their divorce in August.

She moved to  Westerly in a renovated VW van 2 weeks ago with her two cats, Vax and Vex respectively from one of her favorite DnD campaigns. She’s looking to completely start over.
