The Eight Treasures Tea (八宝茶) is a traditional Chinese tea blend that is both fragrant and sweet. It also has healing properties, such as helping with breathing and blood circulation, boosting energy levels, and hydrating the skin. Spiritually, it nurtures the yin, helping the body relax and balance out energies. Perfect for menstruation and sickness recovery, but can be consumed regularly as well.

Green tea

Dried Chrysanthemums

Dried Red Dates

Rock Sugar

Dried Raisins

Dried Goji Berries (Wolfberries)

Dried Lon Gans

Dried Rosebuds

𝓟𝓻𝓮𝓹𝓪𝓻𝓪𝓽𝓲𝓸𝓷:

Combine your desired amount of ingredients in a big cup or teapot and let it steep for 10–15 minutes. As the ingredients steep, the flavour of the tea will become more and more rich.

𝒮𝓊𝒷𝓈𝓉𝒾𝓉𝓊𝓉𝑒𝓈:

You can reduce or remove sugar if needed. You can use jasmine or chamomile tea instead. Dried orange, ginseng, sesame seeds, dried apples, and walnuts are among the ingredients that can be added or used as substitutes. It is not mandatory to use all eight ingredients, either.

I feel like "picky eater" recipe makers have never met a picky eater ever in their life.

Listen. I'm sick of chicken cause it's all my mom cooks, I'm really finicky with noodles(I can only handle thin ones cause otherwise it's like worms in my mouth), I hate rice and pork and seafood. Stir fry, casseroles and stews are gross, and I hate tomatoes and bell peppers. Curry is gross, Mac and cheese is fucking disgusting-do I just not like food????

The only thing these people can offer are burgers ad tacos and things with cheese.

Stoppit. Give me actual help and supply me with meals I can actually stomach eating. Jesus christ food shouldn't be this hard.

the problem with my method of cooking is that someone will ask me for a recipe and half the time the best i can give them is like. here's a list of a few different recipes that i looked at to get a feel for how this dish works. here is a list of ingredients i used but all the measurements are crossed out and replaced with "just measure that shit with your heart, dawg" and there's an asterisk at the end that says "*plus whatever else you have lying around that you wanna put in there".

I'm going to be so real with you, I've never even considered using waffles for sandwiches. I'll definitely try that!

I definitely like pancakes more, tho. I'm absolutely obsessed with caramelized green apple strips on pancakes. But you can't go wrong with whipped cream, chocolate chips, or sprinkles.

Tatertot waffles are amazing, but I've never tried making them on my own, I've only had them at a diner

I successfully made bsissa yesterday!

This is a Tunisian dish which my family wasn't familiar with, so I had a goal of learning it and adding it to our lexicon.

The recipe is v1.0 for me until I can hone my recipe to desired ratios and tastes, but it turned out pretty good for now. Bsissa flour does not seem super available for shipping to the US, so I made it from scratch. Here is some information about it - this site also sells the flour, but I'm not sure where all they ship to. Regardless, I made mine gluten-free, so it worked out.

Here is the original recipe (contains gluten) I worked from and my recipe (gluten-free). The top bits on my doc were for my labels on the jars, I just left em there because I'm lazy.

Anyways, if you try it or know anything about this recipe, feel free to share!

Unpopular opinion but tiktok is cancer to society (I mean it’s literally degenerated attention spans to be worse than gold fish) and should be banned.

yeah, definitely agree. sure there's some cool skillspeople there, like dice makers and soap pourers and whatnot but tbh they'll do just as fine on youtube or another platform, if not better because they won't be limited to such a short span. I also hate how everything is trying to do "shorts" now to be like tiktok, and even tiktok keeps sending me notifications (which I have turned off btw, bc if I'm gonna venture into that caustic wasteland to see artists its gonna be on my own terms) and they're trying to mimic BeReal with their "Now" function to get people to post in the next 3 minutes

And don't even get me started on BeReal. I refuse to even look at that one. Students in class will be like "ooh it's time to BeReal!!" No actually it's time to Be Focused On Class, put your phone away!!!

But BR is like something straight out of Black Mirror, is legitimately scary to me.
