Owl City's entire discography reminds me of [redacted] but specifically Cave In from the Ocean Eyes album and even more specifically the line "I'll keep my helmet on just in case my head caves in / because if my thoughts collapse or mind framework snaps it'll make a mess like you wouldn't believe / tie my handlebars to the stars so I stay on track / and if my intentions stray I'll wrench them away and I'll take my leave and I won't even look back."

Fun fact: Fireflies was my top favourite song ever that I would listen to constantly from when I was around... ten to fourteen / fifteen. I would always, ALWAYS listen to it; I would always listen to it first thing in the morning and last in the night, it was always the first and last and many multiple occurred song I would listen to on a school bus to school that I really loved and to home. I think it’s crazy Fireflies got played in both my middle school and high school graduation kdsjngnkg... Sadly, I can not remember why I had loved the song so much, or if there really was a reason ( though, it's okay to love anything and anyone without a reason; if they make you happy, that's good enough ). But Fireflies mean so much to me as it is a massive part of me, and it is an extremely personal song that was used as one of the main inspirations in creating [ redacted ], specifically: "To ten million fireflies, I'm weird 'cause I hate goodbyes / I got misty eyes as they said farewell / But I'll know where several are if my dreams get real bizarre / 'Cause I saved a few and I keep them in a jar. Funnily enough I said all of that before I completely forgot about Owl City's existence and his songs for months until you just mentioned him, oops, lmfao. It's extremely nice to listen to his songs again after so many months. <3 Cave In is extremely good as well! Meteor Shower and Galaxies were my other favourite songs of his, still are, and Cave In is now part of Morningstar's Owl City favourite songs squad... I don't think I've ever listened to it, so I'm... 🥺 And it is definitely redactedcore too! I got emotional listening to it the first time, especially at the violin part helpsjfndgsdkg while Fireflies was associated with [ redacted ] in terms of xem generally known to be in xyr own world that was more happier and less of pain, this world xyr childlike self would create, and xem coming to see that the REAL world xe's actually on is unlike the world xe created before xe came to acknowledge the fact...

Cave In is a song that I can associate with [ redacted ] too based on how xe is a traveller across the universes, worlds, timelines, dimensions, realms, everywhere and nowhere and in between. Xe IS indeed, as the song would say, history, while xe is always moving on forward, either as for fun or from something / someone ( or xemself and xyr past, even especially ). Given xyr generally very poor mental heath though, xe tends to overthink about anything and anyone, dwelling on these memories, the past, constantly feeling so much and nothing either or all at once. So going over the specific line you mentioned associating [ redacted ] the most, I see it as how [ redacted ] would always try to find a way to keep xemself from... " making a mess like you wouldn't believe ", whatever that means, that's up for anyone to interpret. Xe does this in hope that xe can still travel despite, ironically, the longer xe does meeting more people and going through more new experiences, the more xyr past would become painful and haunted. Nevertheless, travelling is a massive prominent part of xem across many timelines and universes, so of course xe still travels despite everything. Xe is always going to be heading somewhere all alone but, most importantly, still alive.
