I would say it’s weird to look at the gap in years from there to here but 2022 was pretty fiercely dedicated to the Game of Thrones redesigns. Well, I guess there was also modern Belle…. But the Tale as Old as Time dress is the one that matters in reposting so… that’s the only hint you’ll get!

A re-design of Asha I did based off of her concept art and stuff. (I thought she’d look best in warm colors) I’m planning to do a rewrite for wish soon!

AU Asha is a skeptic who doesn’t like/care for wishes or magic. Instead she’s an inventor/artist who likes to study the world around her and is also one of Magnifico’s apprentices.

She loves to stargaze/make star maps, draw and build machines/anything she can think of.

Can I take this to say how much I love that the stars make Asha's drawings come to life with the help of their magic? I mean, imagine being able to see something you put so much time, passion and practice into come to life, it's something YOU made and seeing it LIVE has to be one of the most beautiful things possible

I realized that I haven't drawn Raphesses (lover and protector of cats) that much recently, so I'm fixing that with this prompt.

I have a lot of ideas regarding Wish, so might as well draw them out.

I redesigned Asha a bit because I find her dress to be a bit dull, and decided to lean towards her Amazigh origins a bit more.

The idea of this possible rewrite is that Asha is the daughter of King Magnífico and Queen Amaya, but she’s not ever really going to take up the throne, as they seem to be immortal and aren’t going to step down in the near future.

Rather, she’s being trained to be their adviser and vizier. Still, Asha is definitely the recluse kind and doesn’t like interacting with others, partially because she gets nervous, and partially because she does think she’s better than most.

Starboy, who’s not really a boy in this au, is there to counter that and offer a different view of life and the people around her. And she eventually becomes a Fairy godmother, leaving Rosas behind to help characters in other stories fulfil their dreams.

That’s a very general view but I can go more in dept if anyone wishes (heh) me to do so lol

Modern Belle

I'll be honest I'm pretty tired and disheartened at the moment. Still no job on the horizon, I appreciate every like and warm comment on my art on social media but wow am I tired of being stressed. So to cheer myself off and take a little bit more pressure off myself I decided to visit the characters who inspired me to keep all this running for over two years. The Heroines who got this whole ball rolling. But this time (so I do less research and can recharge a little) in modern clothing!!

For Belle I decided to lean into her book-obsession and keep her in the realm of a vintage-inspired "dark" academia fashion. Her long skirt, collared shirt, and most importantly her ribbed pullover/knit sweater with puffy sleeves. All in shades of off-gold. Which you tubers do you think she watches?

Colouring is really hard… The middle drawing absolutely would not cooperate for me so I hope these are enough to make up for it! I’m considering posting a tutorial for the iridescent jacket because I’m SO proud of it… Anyway, I hope you like the finished drawing!
