Since the tumblr sexyman poll from Twitter was almost entirely animated characters, and I haven't seen a poll here yet about the real life dudes Tumblr has been/is obsessed with, I'm genuinely curious what the result will be...
The voice actors of Yusuke and Hiei, Nozomu Sasaki and Nobuyuki Hiyama, shared on their Twitter a video to promote the Yu Yu Hakusho Mini Figures. In the video, they are playing chess with the first mini figure collection released in 2022.
After so many years, it's good to hear their special techniques again: Reigan (Spirit Gun) and Jao Ensatsu Kokuryuha (Dragon of The Darkness Flame). It's also funny that Sasaki-san uses Kurama's figure to "checkmate".
Another very famous line from Hiei in Japan is: "It's an afterimage" (Zanzou da). He says that in the fight with Makintaro. He thought he had hit Hiei with his axe, but thanks to Hiei's great speed it was only his black robe.

In the video, Yusuke (Nozomu Sasaki) corners Hiei (Nobuyuki Hiyama) with three mini Yusuke figures, so Hiei thinks it's just an afterimage. How come there are three Yusukes? lol
[ID: a pencil sketch of reigan arataka from mob psycho 100 in the holding cell from ace attorney. he gesticulates wildly with his right hand and has a confident expression. to the right, mob is visible holding his bag and looking down with a neutral expression. to the left, Maya fey leans in with a smile, an says "wow, reigan arataka!! I'm a huge fan! you're an inspiration to mediums everywhere!" in the style of an ace attorney text box. beneath it, Phoenix thinks "(the mediums in kurain anyway... all two of them.)" /End ID.]
SOOO I've been rewatching Mob Psycho... and I've been wanting to do some sort of screenshot redraw... and that's it! No other reason for this drawing 😳
Reigan’s so funny. If I were in his position in the press conference after the interview, I’d just essentially tell the truth.
Like, he heard from the other psychic that there is a script and sees this kid is clearly acting, and that makes sense - evil spirits and psychic powers can be dangerous and destructive, so it’s safer for your host and camerapeople and celebrity audience to do a fake one. Especially if you’re bringing in a new person and don’t know how their powers work. Not playing along and pointing out the farce would cause everyone involved to lose face. So he goes along with it, uses techniques that will do minimal damage to the actor and set without a lot of psychic power put into them and doesn’t put any in just to be safe. He figures the kid would at some point have a cue to stop acting and they’d go on to the next segment. But they don’t, and it turns out to be a setup to accuse him of fraud. He was bowled over, since it wasn’t like he was reading everyone’s minds to predict it. It’s rude to do that without their permission. And he didn’t want to accuse the other psychic there on stage in case he wasn’t actually in on it. But he’s had time to think since then and he’s pretty sure he must have been, and also there are newspeople showing up outside his house and office, so he had to hold a press conference.
Heck, he can even answer the “do you have psychic powers” question in the affirmative, since he can see Dimple now.
Obviously this would have ruined the absolute dumpster dive that was his inevitable comeuppance and realization and reconciliation with Mob, so it wouldn’t have fit the narrative, but I reuse to believe that it would be out of character for Reigan to be able to pull himself out of that scot free.
