Eden maybe have been a long time ago, but Adam knows that it didn't went like this at all .
He feels like laughing but honestly he is kinda creeped out, Eve still being her cute self . Holds his arm in a death grip, following him everywhere even when he has to do his business .
Lilith who Adam sometimes think she got dropped on her head, when she got made and placed in Eden . Stares at his stomach a lot, saying how good he will look with a child (like wtf ?) For some reason she starts to hump him as if she was a male in rut .
Then Lucifer that little fucker started to sniff and bite him every chance he gets, he started to get intrested in Adam's ass a lot . When some of the angels starts to ask quistions, Lucifer just shuts them up with one look .
Adam doesn't know what is going on, sure he loves to be worshipped but he has a feeling he needs to run .
And fast .

so i’ve been. THINKING lately.
you can find many similarities in both stories but there are also huge differences…
in cain and abel’s story cain murders his younger brother because of his jealousy and because god preferred abel over him, which is obviously similar to how chuck’s pride made him envious of jimmy because he’s more likeable and made their mom laugh etcetera etcetera..but i’d say abel was a pure guy, he didn’t do anything bad, he was like. basically the purest human being at that time (well it’s not really difficult to be the best person when there’s like 4 people in the whole world and two of them literally got kicked out of heaven but anyway). and cain murdered him. which is clearly not the case with jimmy and chuck because obviously in the legal point of view chuck is a better person than jimmy …
and we’ve got esau and jacob, which is i think a really underrated story. i mean i love cain and abel but i think people often forget about those two. esau, (technically) an older brother, always gets tricked by jacob. jacob buys his birthright and steals his father’s blessing that was meant for esau. and esau rages at him because. i mean. that’s not a nice thing to do. but in the end jacob becomes one of the Main Characters in the genesis… personally i think this story is more… idk, specific? there’s just something about the younger brother constantly tricking the older to get what he wants, even though the reasons not always are completely selfish. BUT! in the end esau and jacob made peace which is (spoiler alert😨) not the case with chuck and jimmy ………..and also jacob didn’t really have a redemption arc and esau just. idk. moved on with his life. got a family and all that. so he basically became a normie. but yeah ANYWAYS!
so yeah. i’d really love to hear ur thoughts and opinions on this one because i am a little bit insane about all this stuff as you probably noticed
(also if i messed something up or if im wrong anywhere please lmk lol it’s been a while since ive read the old testament…….)
#the best thing to do at 4 am .#better call saul#jimmy mcgill#saul goodman#chuck mcgill#personally i think that. idk#cain and abel’s story is CLASSIC#everyone knows what happened to them and why it happened to them. it’s very straightforward#but honestly i think cain is too evil for chuck#i mean yeah chuck surely is fucked up but he’s not THAT bad#and i think he definitely always had some fucked up sense of love for jimmy and man they just know each other too well#while cain and abel don’t really seem to care about each other and cain is just like. yeah this guy pisses me off im going to kill him 👋bye#and esau&jacob seem to know each other reallt well and they know what they’re capable of#ALSO jacob was his moms favorite!! just like jimmy!!!!#and yeah jacob is obviously much more sly and clever than abel#but. honestly. when i think about it like this#i just. you know.#i think jimmy wouldn’t be like this fucked up if their relationship with chuck was better#i mean. i don’t THINK i KNOW#this is a fact#chuck is one of the most important figures in jimmys life#he and kim is his whole world#which is EXACTLY the thing with cain and abel. there are LITERALLY no other people in the world except for them#they are the only people that exist for each other and THEY HATE EACH OTHER#and it’s PAINFUL#(yeah im ignoring adam and eve’s existence)#while esau and jacob are like. you know. this is an important part of the plot#but no one seems to really care about it#idk how to explain there’s just so much going on there that this thing doesn’t feel that BIG and INTERESTING and IMPORTANT#man idk this is hard

Eve!Alastor AU with Fallen!Adam AU
Continuation of this post
A snake demon ascended to heaven, it's only fair that it's the first man that proves souls in heaven could also fall.
But of course, that wasn't quite correct.
Just like with the apple in Eden, it was Eve who had first eagerly jumped headfirst into sin. Consuming the apple and making a deal for access to hell; never thinking of the consequences.
That's how Adam thought of it in his more narcissistic moods. But in his fleeting self-reflective moments, he admitted that it was because she was more courageous, confident, and charming than he ever could be. And he loved her for it in the same measure that it made him insecure.
There was a reason both the women made for him had a personality that shown brighter than the light-bringer himself.
Eve did as she pleased, giving zero fucks about how others perceived her. When they'd both reunited in heaven, Adam observed how the angels saw Eve, they watched her like she was an equal. He was a joke to them, the second human to eat from the apple.
And now the second former angelic human soul to fall. What a fucking joke.

I've come to interpret the garden of eden as this state of blissful ignorance and thus Eve taking a bite of the forbidden fruit, though tricked into it, was her first step towards knowledge and personal autonomy. And I've been thinking about her recently and I wonder if she ever experienced existential anxiety.
And then I made her the fruit and I think that changes the meaning entirely.

being in a poly relationship with adam and eve
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
pairing: adam x gn!reader x eve
tags: polyamorous relationship, fluff, jealousy
Tumblr media
adam was the one you met first and he was the one who introduced you to eve
both of them were immediately interested in you, though at first it was all just platonic
it took them quite a while to develop feelings for you, as they were still learning about emotions such as love
eve was the one who fell for you first!
adam just brushed off eve's crush on you, caring very little about it, but eventually falling in love with you as well
eve also confessed to you first, with adam rudely interrupting his confession, to tell you about his feelings for you instead
you were the one who proposed dating both of them, explaining the concept of polygamy to them, which they happily accepted at first
adam and eve don't have anyone to spend their time with aside from you, so they are always around you!
they always take turns on who gets to spend the day with you. on some days you're on a date with eve, on others you're spending your time with adam!
you also spend time as a trio, but both adam and eve prefer to have you all to themselves!
adam and eve are rather jealous of each other, even if your relationship goes well at the start
eve often starts arguments about who of them is your favorite, with adam being convinced that it's him, while eve wants to be your number one instead!
eve is quite insecure about which one of them is your favorite and even if you assure him that you like them both equally, he still longs to be the one you like more!

If I were going to make a Hazbin Hotel rewrite, I'd get rid of Adam... and replace him with Abel, the first murder victim. I just think that him singing, "Fair is fair; an eye for eye!" makes more sense than Adam. Of course he should be able to exterminate all Sinners. Cain killed him first!

i need a story that centers Eve and Cains relationship.
they are both the sinners of their pairs.
Eve forsake god.
Cain had felt forsaken by god.
they are so “like mother like son”

The fact that so many people want to date/fuck Adam is concerning to me.
Look, I know this is all fictional and we can do whatever we want and all that. But attraction to fictional characters can be connected to attraction to real people. We like characters because they have traits that we're attracted to which can be found in real people. While some only like characters like Adam but not in real life, others might like it in reality too.
This is for those people.
Sure, Adam's hot, I get that entirely. But people going 'let me be his third wife' and stuff just hurts my heart.
Sweetie, Adam only cares about himself. He would only use you to get off and not let you finish. He'd use you like a toy and not care a single bit about you.
Sweetie, you all deserve so much better than that.

According to Genesis, marriage is the first product of the mutual creation between God and people, and it grows out of the first negative notion in the Bible. In Genesis 2:18 God observes, "It is not good that the man should be alone; I will make him a helper as his partner." [...] The story about the creation of Eve is about families [...] It grows out of the sense that "it is not good to be alone" and moves to the conclusion that life will be better if people are together. That is the basic premise of marriage. People's concepts of what it takes to make life better has changed many times over the years. But the basic point has not. It may seem a little dated or naive to base the principles of a modern relationship on such an ancient story. But the old story is still current. Almost every married couple I know include something like the Genesis story in the account of their own relationship. Someone, at some point, concluded that it was no longer good to be alone and that life would be better if the two were together. That fresh, romantic, exciting idea is essentially a reenactment of the second chapter of Genesis.
Francis Wade (The Art of Being Together: Common Sense for Lifelong Relationships, pages 21, 21-22)
Father in heaven, Creator of all, You ordered the earth to bring forth life and crowned its goodness by creating the family of man. In history's moment, when all was ready, You sent Your Son to dwell in time, obedient to the laws of life in our world. Teach us the sanctity of human love, show us the value of family life, and help us to live in peace with all men, that we may share Your life for ever. We ask this through Christ our Lord. Amen.

Finally watched Goncharov (1973) and while I’m not generally into mafia movies... the Fruit Stand Scene???!!!
THIS LIVES RENT-FREE IN MY MIND NOW.
Katya gives Sofia the apple. Sofia hands Katya the pomegranate. The Eve-Persephone parallels (women whose destinies changed irrevocably after being tricked into eating a piece of fruit) are SPECIFICALLY invoked. But the real question is, which one is which?
The framing of the scene suggests that Sofia is Eve (about to lose her sense of innocence and be inducted into the knowledge of evil), and that Katya is Persephone (trapped by a marriage that binds her forever to the (criminal) underworld). Except, that also makes no sense because we don't see them eat the fruit. How could they reap the consequences for an action they didn't actually take?
I would argue that it's not about the fruits they RECEIVE... it's about the ones they OFFER. The fruits they have already eaten, and been doomed by.
Sofia doesn't need to learn about evil. She lost her whole family. She knows enough about evil already. And Katya doesn't need to be bound to anything, when her own choices have left her so deeply entrenched.
"That’s the first lesson. Always blame the Devil for your crimes." (0:15:24)
Katya is Eve. Katya got roped into this mess a long time ago and has so many regrets now that she understands what it all means. Katya plays her piano in the room next to a murder, not because she doesn't know what's going on, but because she DOES. Katya wishes more than anything that she could turn back the clock to some idyllic time before her daughter died, before she joined the mafia, before she ever had to steal a purse or put a gun to a man's head. She tries so hard to end that cycle of violence... and it doesn't work. It was never going to work. The Apple of Eden isn't part of a cycle; it's just the beginning of the story.
"Don’t you dare speak to me about Cosenza." (1:20:41)
Sofia is Persephone. Sofia is constantly arguing that murder isn't necessary- but she also nearly drowns Katya, and shows a bizarre fascination with death when Katya threatens her with the knife. Sofia is linked to nature (the green dress, the sunset motif, the vase of flowers in her first scene) but in paltry, disconnected ways (her dress has metal buttons, the sunsets are over the city, the flowers are halfway to wilting). Sofia is part of a cycle; moments of happiness and joy, interspersed and defined by recurring instances of death and violence. Her childhood in WW2. The incident where she lost her leg. Whatever happened that made her learn how to use a gun. Her whole bloodied dynamic with Katya now. But Sofia CAN escape... for a time. She can walk away from the violence and have her summer in the sunlight. At least until tragedy strikes again.
Which makes the ending of the movie really bittersweet. Sofia sails away on the boat (Charon's Ferry, making a reverse trip across the River Styx). And the scene closes as the first snowflakes start to fall. Winter comes to Naples, because spring follows Persephone when she leaves.
How long until she comes back?

Before dating someone who claims to be a Christian, you need to know how they respond to all of the following questions.
1. Is Jesus the uncreated God? 2. Are Jesus, God the Father, and the Holy Spirit three coeternal persons? 3. Is Jesus fully divine and fully human? 4. Are all people born in a state of sin, inherited from Adam and Eve due to their transgression? 5. Are believers justified through faith, by the free grace of God? 6. Is the institution of marriage a lifelong covenant between one man and one woman, dissoluble only through death, abandonment, or adultery? 7. Is sexual intercourse a practice strictly for married couples?
All of these questions are either first-order matters of doctrine or would indicate how a dating relationship in particular would end up. In addition, there are questions I would ask about second- and third-order matters (limited atonement, spiritual gifts, infant baptism, etc). What additional questions you would ask would depend on your Biblical hermeneutic and how closely you would want a partner to agree, but I have made the mistake of not gauging previous partners’ doctrine.

What are you made of?
"And the rib, which the LORD God had taken from man, made he a woman, and brought her unto the man. And Adam said, This is now bone of my bones, and flesh of my flesh: she shall be called Woman, because she was taken out of Man." Genesis 2:22-23
The Good Book says that Eve was made from a rib from Adam's side.
I wonder why.
The rib isn't integral to the central structure of the man's body because the axial skeleton can operate just fine without appendages. The rib doesn't perform a specific organic function like the lungs or the liver or the kidneys, nor does it operate as a command center like the brain and its many parts and pathways.
Then it hit me: no woman is the same. We're all made differently. We're all individuals. And every man isn't missing his rib. Here's why I say that.
Some women are made from their man's rib.
She is always at his side. She protects him, she guards his heart, she takes the hits for him sometimes. She supports him and helps him stand tall. She is under his arm to be held close and loved well.
Some women are made from their man's head.
She is a little more fragile, so she needs to be protected more carefully. But she is witness to the workings of his mind and intimately involved in the conception of his thoughts. She holds his dreams while he sleeps.
Some women are made from their man's hand.
She is agile, versatile, adept, able, and sensitive. She makes beauty out of chaos, she makes delicious out of bland, she makes good out of bad. She is responsible for everything he does. He owes all he accomplishes to her.
There are many, many parts of man out of which to make the perfect woman for him, and once he finds her, once he finds the missing piece of himself, he is never the same.
From this I have concluded that I must be made out of some dude's tailbone because no man wants this pain in the ass.

Going to talk more about my eve and share some more art
Before that some quick trigger warnings: unhealthy relationship/censored nudity/period Blood (we are talking about Eve after all)
Eve’s relationship with Adam can be best described as out of sight out of mind once they’re in heaven (I like to think they cared for each other a lot more when they were still living, especially after they got kicked out of the garden and had to fend for themselves they had children to raise and had to think about survival so they work together)
After they make it to the pearly gates, though
Tumblr media
I feel as though Adam’s worst traits flare up now that he doesn’t have responsibilities or worries to keep him in check
I briefly mentioned before about Eve having some thing of a crush on Lilith, that never goes away she still an absolute gay disaster for her specifically, while keeping collected around other women just fine, it takes Eve a long while to realize she isn’t even attracted to men at all, which makes her realize why her relationship with Adam was never some thing she was excited about
But she spent her entire life married to him that she doesn’t know how to be any other way she’s his other at half and that’s the only thing she’s allowed to be, which is why she prefers her secluded little area in heaven, where she only allows women
She just got no problem with Adam boning whoever he pleases, she never feels jealousy over him which, in hindsight she realizes should tipped her off to her sexuality, but then again, it’s not like there was a lot of competition back in the day
She’s constantly reminded of how she brought sin to mankind by everyone around her, including Adam.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
When she got her period, there was no one to help her no one to understand the pain she was going through and she was told she deserved every second of it
She not only finds herself resenting Adam, but just men in general she did love her sons, but having one of them murder the other was really the nail in the coffin for her faith in men (also can I just say I’m not a religious person so my friend had to tell me this, but apparently Cain’s punishment for killing Abel was a hot wife, and being told not to do it again) I’m like if that’s the case damn, I’d be resentful as fuck too
