it's wild having a friend from your small ass hometown who you didn't know when you lived there. like I expect to see my hometown in pictures from my friends I met there/who still live there, but getting a Snapchat from a friend you met three years ago that contains a road you're so extremely familiar with is wild when neither of you have lived there in 6+ years
#nuance in the tags for context of how small of a town it is#we didn't know each other at all when we lived there BUT we have several mutual friends irl#and we had definitely crossed paths before like he used to work at the only game stop in a 30 mile radius#i actually told my mom about meeting someone also from [insert small town name here] and showed her a picture of him and her response was:#“oh yeah I've seen him before he used to work at the game stop!!”#additional unrelated context for how small of a town it is:#one of my high school acquaintances bought the house i grew up in and found a note i left under the counter#when my parents remodelled the laundry room when i was like 14#and she sent me a fb friend request and a message with pictures of it#we follow each other on Instagram now and i sometimes see my childhood fireplace casually in the background of her posts#it's weird to not be expecting to see it bc sometimes i'll be scrolling and recognize it before i even realize why/that it's her post

love that hoz is a squad captain in totk bc in botw i had a picture of him saved for the duration of my playthrough bc he was handsome and therefore one of my favourite npcs. go king get that promotion !!
#scorpis is my new bestie btw he is sooo#so much going on in this game tho goddamn. three layers of map? girl#i rly like the addition of deeper cave systems on the middle level. tho i miss the old cave soundtrack a little#so far i think it's a pretty good mix of the old botw feeling and newer stuff#somewhat less focus on survival and diving into the meat of building etc a little quicker. not re-inventing the wheel so to speak#also i really like that they remodeled hyrule so you're not walking thru territory you already know like the back of ur hand constantly#curry plays totk

weird thing I've just noticed- if I'm in a large open room with a high ceiling i get freaked out bc agoraphobia, but like. if the room is in a basement I'm fine with it??? like you could have a giant cave basement and as long as it's underground it doesn't scare me??? maybe I'm just scared of big buildings
#just noticed this because we were doing some like. remodeling in headspace basically#and we have this area in headspace called The Cabin its where everyone kinda lives and hangs out#and we decided to expand the cabin bc we're getting a LOT of people recently#and the basement of the cabin used to be kinda spooky and off limits idk why but we changed it to have a big open room#that has a pool in it that connects to the ocean bc the Cabin is on a little island#so that our like. mermaid and mermaid-adjacent headmates could more easily come and go from the house#and the basement is really tall bc one of our fish ppl is literally ten feet tall bc she's an ancient ocean goddess#but for some reason the basement being tall doesn't scare me as much as like. the ceiling in the house part being really tall#side note the Cabin is like. actually a sentient entity kind of. like we ask it to change and make additions and it does#and it is such a good little house it's so nice and helpful it is a Friend
