- he’s obviously insecure about his scars, but nothing makes him feel better or more loved than when you trace them softly or kiss along one of them because you think he’s beautiful no matter what and you need him to know that

- he’d be the perfect boyfriend around the holidays, helping with baking and taking you around to see the lights and always making sure you have a warm drink and letting you borrow his sweaters because you just look so beautiful in them and doing a gift exchange where he gives you the most thoughtful gift ever because he always listens and always remembers every little thing you say

- he’s a great chef and he’ll never let the boys know, and as much as he loves taking you out and showing you off, his favorite dates are at home where he cooks a nice meal and you cuddle up to watch a movie after or he’ll read to you (omg his voice would be all soft and a little scratchy ahh)

- bookstore dates are the best, and you’ll go and pick out a book for him and he’ll pick one out for you and if it’s nice you’ll go read in the park or on your back porch but if it’s cold (like it is now) you’ll curl up on the couch together and read for the whole afternoon, just enjoying being near each other

- he swears a lot. like a lot. every couple of sentences will have a swear word in, so much so that he doesn’t even notice that he’s doing it.

- james and sirius find it funny though because he uses really “big words” sometimes and is quite eloquent when he speaks but then every other word will be a swear word.

- he loses stuff all the time like he’s so forgetful when it comes to his belongings, unless it’s something he really cares about.

- like this man will put something down and then two seconds later he’s forgotten where it is and he’s looking around for it and accusing sirius and james for trying to mess with him.

Remus Lupin Headcanons: Childhood - 7th Year (no particular order)

He bites his nails

From third year onwards, you would find ink stains all over his fingers

Remus loves his books; they were sometimes the only escape he had ever since he was a child, and they helped him cope with the loneliness and awkwardness of life.

The spine of his favourite books are destroyed. Non-existent, even.

He also makes annotations.

He is sarcastic but only under his breath.

He doesn't really raise his hand in class often and comfortably until sixth year.

Before, his voice would always sound hoarse and he would fidget with his fingers under his desk.

He would often find himself loosening his tie or collar when he's anxious even if they weren't tight to begin with.

First year was the hardest for him because he missed his mum.

He always speaks in a soft voice.

Has a hard time looking at people in the eye for more than five seconds.

After he went to Hogwarts, Lyall and Hope would always send a howler singing Happy Birthday to him. He would open the letter alone in his dorm-room and would keep them safe in his trunk.

He would listen to Glenn Miller's records with his parents every night before going to bed.

At Hogwarts, he would hum the melodies unconsciously.

He likes dark chocolate and strong coffee. Only drinks tea if he has a headache or feeling too sad.

Neither him or his father are good at sports and always bonded over that.

Lyall and him used to go for walks near a lake or prairie before dinner – not necessarily talking much but rather enjoying each other's company. Remus looked up to his father a lot.

They shared the same humour.

Remus never found out about the comments his father made about werewolves before he got bitten.

He sucked at potions.

A habit of his was rolling up his sleeves elbow-length but then unroll them since he was self-conscious of his scars.

Out of all the people working at Hogwarts, Remus got along with Madame Pomfrey the most.

He likes corduroy and wool.

His favourite non-magical creatures is a sheep and his favourite magical creature is a Demiguise. He finds both of them adorable.

After The Prank, he never stopped talking to the rest of the marauders. He kept pretending everything was alright, even though he was deeply hurt by Sirius's actions and by James and Peter's immediate forgiveness of him.

He would feel nauseous for weeks and pull his hair lightly out of anxiety but never say a thing.

Eventually, he got a buzzcut.

People made fun of him but he actually liked it.

He loves going to the beach when it's cool enough to wear a t-shirt. He finds the sea soothing.

He likes coconut tarts yet hates coconut scented things.
