Things that have happened in the last 48 hours
Tucker Carlson fired from Fox News unceremoniously and without warning, apparently directly at the command of Rupert Murdoch. Reason isn't clear but Dominion claims with wasn't because of their recent settlement with Fox News for over $700 million. Considering all that Fox News hosts get away with saying regularly, something pretty wild has to have happened for them to suddenly fire their number one money maker and the host of the highest viewed tv program in the country, on any channel.
Don Lemon fired from CNN possibly without warning, though CNN claims they tried to meet with him. Possibly due to sexist and/or racist comments, but the reason isn't currently clear and CNN is just not wanting to talk about it
Nate Silver was laid off by Disney and ABC and is no longer part of FiveThirtyEight, which he founded.
Steven Crowder announced that he has been divorced since 2021 when his wife filed a no-fault divorce, openly bemoaned the fact that the laws of Texas allowed her to divorce him without his permission, and then publicly accused Candace Owens of trying to use his divorce to extort him for money.
Candace Owens started commenting back at him, denying the accusations of extortion and has now officially begun another far right media civil war as people are taking sides, because she took the bait. She may or may not have sent him a cease and desist and be planning to take legal action.

God bless anyone who ever dates our dear Brucie Wayne.
I’m 90% sure most of the city already on some level has either mentally adopted or dated that man at some point.

One thing I think about a lot is Elias and his mum. Like, the only reason he changed his mind and decided to detonate the bomb is bc his mum wouldn’t come out and talk to him. She didn’t even want to *see* him (from Elias’ pov at least). Despite the fact that earlier in the series he was adamant that he didn’t want to have anything to do with her (although I have wondered whether that’s an idea that the Morley’s planted in his head, or maybe straight up told him to say), she’s still his mum and he still needs her. Then later in the series in the last few seconds before he ceases to exist when they’re hugging, the idea that that might be the only time in the series when he actually genuinely knows he is loved, and how the whole loop is him chasing after that feeling of being loved yet it takes the loop breaking for him to get it. Stuff like that.

Jeng is a great boss, but I think the reason that Pat isn't responding to him as a boss right now is because he's giving direction but not giving the context for the direction.
Jeng is absolutely correct that Pat shouldn't have presented something without running it by him first. He needs to tell Pat why. It's not because he doesn't trust Pat's judgement and his work. It's so he, as the boss, is aware of everything in the presentation. It worked out well this time, but what if it doesn't work next time. What if their next client is upset that the idea wasn't part of the presentation as a whole and calls them unprofessional again? That reflects poorly on the whole company, and Jeng, as the boss, is there representing the company. He needs to not be blindsided when they're with clients.
Jeng is also right that Pat should make sure the slides are clean and consistent and that the accompanying images work with the information present. If he was able to correct it all himself in one night, why have Pat stressing over it by himself? Why not have taken that time to work with Pat to show him how to clean up the slides. Give Pat examples of images.
Pat has been doing the bulk of the department's work for who knows how long and no one has properly trained him how to actually do his job. Having Nan help Pat was a great idea because his work improved vastly under the supervision of someone experienced.
Telling Pat that he needs to be careful about rumors spreading between him and Nan was wrong. Nan is in the higher position? That discussion should have been had with her. Jeng also should have done something to stop the gossiping himself. It's not their business and it was distracting them from work. It's his job to make sure that employees feel safe at the company and that inappropriate discussions are dealt with. Now I just need to see that man who felt it was okay to comment on Pat's bed preferences get in trouble for that.

I'm so sorry I can't take the Dudley-breaks-the-news-of-Eve's-supposed-death scene seriously AT ALL. It's hilarious! It's the reason why I'm a Dudley/Eve conspiracy nut, for fun, but let me explain the reasons this scene leaves me with no sanity.
First, it's important to know that the Qattara Depression, where Dudley says Eve's plane went down, is WEST of Alexandria (off to the left, on a map). Cairo is to the east/right of Alexandria. There is no way a plane headed from Alexandria to Cairo would go west.
So, from west (left) to east (right) we have: the Qattara Depression - Alexandria - the sandstorm Dudley says happened - Cairo.
Now, this is in a show that's playing fancy-dress-up-costume with history, and moved Kabrit from where it actually is (east of the Nile, by the Suez Canal) to a few hundred miles into the desert west of the Nile. Option one in the Eve plane story mystery is that the showrunners just didn't give a shit about where a place was, they simply slapped a name in there because they'd read/heard about it, and figured no one would know or bother to check. That would be on par for the show. (And the racist assumption that no one's going to know/care/bother to check where these places are - I very much doubt we're going to find them playing fast and loose with the location of European places.)
Anyway, leaving aside the option that makes me spit incredulous venom, I have a far more amusing second option to put forward:
Dudley was making shit up.
Which is extra fucking funny because Stirling, having been out in the desert, should very much know where the Qattara Depresison is. Dudley would know that Stirling should know. He'd be cackling internally at Stirling falling for it.
I don't know if I believe a word of what Dudley said, it makes no sense, but David not noticing the inconsistency means either anyone watching the show who knows vaugely where places in Egypt are just have to shriek in intense discomfort, or David is a complete and utter dumbass when it comes to remembering where places are.
