He simply patted Peter on the back and went to go grab Tony to interrogate the poor man on why he kept his nephew from him.

HC that tony regularly relaxed in extra suits around his workshop and house. He would stand in them, supported by all the padding, and let himself be completely alone. Use FRIDAY to contact people if needed, but usually he just enjoyed his own company. For his closest friends, if became common practice to treat every Iron Man suit as if it has Tony in it, just in case.

So when Tony dies, Rhodey can’t help but ask Pepper if she’s checked. every last suit. She needs to check, because, because, tony can’t be dead. he’s alive and controlling a hologram or resting or anything but dead. he’s in one of his suits. He must be. Did she check? is she sure?

As far as I'm concerned, a little after TFATWS, Rhodey went in for a yearly check up or something. Maybe an xray to check on his legs. Then the Skrulls captured him and stole his leg brace things and that's why he couldn't stand up by himself.

I REFUSE to accept any earlier.

What? Is Marvel suggesting that Skrull Rhodey fought in Wakanda, spent the 5 Blip years working with the Avengers, did the Time Heist, bonded with Nebula, watched Tony die, and supported Sam with the shield?
