Dragon S/O Who Can’t Use Magic Getting Bullied (Riddle, Leona, and Malleus)

Background: Y/N is a fae dragon like Malleus but can’t use magic and has been picked for it.

CW: Vague talks of bullying, some spoilers of Leona’s past,

Riddle

- That’s a way off pissing Riddle off and getting a collar from him. The bully won’t be casting magic for awhile.

- “OFF WITH YOUR HEAD!”

- Riddle will take you to the Heartslabyul dorm away from the bully and even let you stay in his room. He isn't the greatest with comfort but he'll let you vent, cry, or whatever you do to let it out of your system as long its not hurting you.

- Will make you some calming tea and get you a tart if you want it. This may end up with you spending the night in his room.

- Riddle will remind you not to be hard on yourself just because you can’t use magic. He won’t let any idiots take you down.

Leona

- Congrats to the bully, by picking on dragon s/o, you get an angry lion planning to hunt you down for what you did. I think out of everyone, Leona would be the least tolerant of bullies. (Well torwards people he cares about, I don’t see him having a lot of real friends.)

- And he would be the most understanding, hey he was bullied for being the second born prince and inferior to his brother.  Like Riddle, Leona isn’t the best at comforting but makes up for making the bully pay.

- If you ran off and hide somewhere to cry, Leona will look for you, he knows your scent well so it wouldn’t be a problem.

- He’ll take you to the garden or somewhere private to cuddle.

Malleus

- RIP bully you pissed off a another dragon, this time Malleus himself, run. (If you can run,)  Dragons are naturally protective of their mates, so the bully will have to be a total idiot to think its a good idea.

- While Malleus may not know what its like to be bullied or not have magic but I think he could be good at comforting you. One of the things you two enjoy is transforming into your dragon forms and fly.

- You two don’t talk you just quietly enjoy each others company Malleus knew you probably didn’t want to talk about it at all.

- He understands and lets you speak on your own time.

❤️ Riddle was never really keen on focusing on the past, unless it centered around the rules set by the Queen, his family, and especially you. But, this was something that he couldn't throw behind him like nothing

❤️ You and Riddle had begun dating a while after the initial event, and whenever someone tried using his anger against him, you would step in and knock the guy down a few pegs, much to Trey and Cater's amusement

❤️ Now, back to the point;

❤️ That day marked the birthday of your lovely boyfriend, and you made everything perfect; from the decorations to the strawberry tart that you helped Trey bake, to his night of relaxing and cuddling

❤️ Unfortunately, no amount of love you threw into that day would stop what ensued

❤️ Riddle had begun his dream perfectly, he was spending a great day in the garden with you. But, before he even realized it, he was yelling erratically as the roses died and you backed away in fear

❤️ Thankfully, he awoke before anything truly bad began... but seeing that look on your face made him beyond scared

❤️ You had woken up to the sound of his tiny whimpers, since it wasn't normal for him to make any noise at night. And once you saw the tear-stains running down his cheeks as he slept, you shook him awake, only to jump back as he sat up with such speed not even the Flash could reach

❤️ He held his chest as he curled into a fetal position, his knees tucked close to his chest as he wept

❤️ Pulling the covers fully back, you held your arms open, knowing Riddle was just getting used to being physically affectionate. And once he saw you open arms, he lunged into them, gripping your shirt and sobbing into it

" It's okay, Riddle... do you wish to speak about it? " " No... just- please stay here with me... don't go... "

❤️ Closing your eyes lightly, you maneuvered yourself so that you back was against the head of the bed before pulling the covers up as his grip stayed firmly on your shirt

❤️ A million thoughts were rushing through his head, what if he had actually done this during his Overblot? What if he had done worse?! What if he harmed you... nonetheless...

❤️ But, feeling the rubs of comfort against his back and head, those thoughts slowly exited his head as you hummed a small melody, one that Riddle enjoyed to hum whenever he was working on homework or Housewarden duties

❤️ And as the song progressed, he felt the familiar hold of sleep pull him deeper into darkness, the humming fading away as his tears and small sniffs progressed into his breaths, allowing you to smile and hug him slightly tighter

🦁 Leona, much like Riddle, never liked bringing up his past problems. Like his family and the overblot for example, both made him feel like a failure

🦁 So, he would just avoid speaking about them, and you knew that asking him about either topics would either result in a small grunt and a sigh or him telling you it was nothing

🦁 You were very close to the magic-less prefect of Night Raven, so when they brought up the fact that Leona had an overblot incident while you were gone, dealing with business in your shared homeland, you were shocked

🦁 Why had he never told you about this?

🦁 But, knowing how your boyfriend was, you pushed the questions back, knowing he'd bring the topic up when he was ready to talk about it

🦁 Sadly for him, he never got to talk about it with you before the small incident

🦁 Leona loves to either lay on top of you to sleep or hold you while your head on his chest and his face in your neck, and he never moves in his sleep, so when he began to slightly toss and turn before gritting his teeth as growling, you awoke lightly

🦁 You noticed that there were tear-stains on his cheeks as he lightly croaked on his voice, saying the same two words over and over again; "Please" and "No"

🦁 So, you grabbed his face and began to try waking him up, and while it took a while, when he woke up with a jolt and shattered breaths, you sat up with him, holding his face as he tried calming down

" Leona, are you alright? Was it a bad dream? " " Yeah... but it's nothing to worry about, Y/N. " " Was it about your overblot? " " How do you- never mind. Let's just talk about it in the morning, okay? " " Alright... but, are you sure you're okay? " " Yes, jeez. You sound like my mother. " " Well, at least one of us is mature enough to sound like our parents. " " Shut up. "

🦁 Grabbing your hips and wrapping your legs around his waist, Leona scoffed at your words before dipping his face back into it's spot, breathing in your scent as he slipped deeper into sleep

🦁 You were still here... it was merely a dream. He had not laid a hand on you in rage, his emotions did not take over again... and you were here with him, unscathed, and protected

🐙 This guy has a specific image to uphold, so he never brings up his true emotions or intentions unless he's speaking to someone he holds dear, like you or the Tweels. You because you're his S/O, and them because they have stuck beside him throughout everything

🐙 Azul does not enjoy lying to you, but when he awoke suddenly from his slumber with a coat of sweat on his skin and tears running down his cheeks, he had no choice

🐙 You were very confused when you woke up, seeing your boyfriend on the edge of the bed, his hands running through his hair, scratching his scalp, most likely leaving red marks underneath his light-colored hair

🐙 As your eyes adjusted to the light of the shell-lamp you had gifted him the month prior. And as they adjusted, you began to hear the movements of his hands scratching his scalp deeply

" Azul? Are you okay? "

🐙 He froze in place and rubbed his face to clean it of the tears that fell from his eyes, because he knew if you were to see it, you'd be extremely worried

🐙 Pushing his hair back with one hand, Azul turned around and looked at you with an obviously forced smile. And you furrowed your eyebrows at his expression and claim of being fine

" Honey, I know that you're not fine. Look, I won't pressure you into talking about it. But, may I take a guess? "

🐙 Looking into his eyes, anyone could tell that there was hidden emotions behind it all, so it didn't surprise you when the outer-parts of the eyes began to fog up with tears

" Yeah- uh, go ahead... " " Was it about your overblot? "

🐙 Now, the tears began to fall down his cheeks like mini-waterfalls. And once you opened your arms for him to attempt to relax, he jumped into your grasp and wrapped his arms around you, holding you very tightly

🐙 You could hear his shattered breaths in your neck, and you could feel the tears going into your shirt as he wept. So, in a compromise with his strong grab, you rubbed his back and laid on your side as he curled into a fetal position, essentially you were spooning him as he cried

🐙 You were going to get him to talk about this when he calmed down, he never pressured you, you weren't about to go pressure him

🐍 He never liked to talk about his feelings, and you completely understood that, which is what gained his attention and eventual affections from him

🐍 Jamil loved having you spend time with him whenever he was free, and that was because he never really had anything that was his and not someone else's, not that he thought you belonged to him! It just felt nice to have someone there for him

🐍 So, that night when you decided to spend the night in his room with him, he was fairly happy to spend some time relaxing with you

🐍 Eventually when the night ended, you both retired into his bed and you hugged him from behind as he held your hand before falling victim to the lovely land of sleep

" No... I didn't mean to... Y/N... please... NO! "

🐍 Your eyes shot open in surprise as you felt Jamil yell and sit up in bed in shock, holding his hand to his chest as he breathed heavily

🐍 You noticed that his eyes were wide open, and that was your number one sign that he was beyond panicking. He looked at the sheets in fear as you called out his name

🐍 Your boyfriend looked at you as you cupped his face and you wrapped your legs around his waist as he held you tighter with each breath. As his breathing slowed down to a calmer pace, you rubbed his head

" Hey- hey, it's okay... Jamil, hey! It's gonna be alright, I'm right here with you. "

🐍 When his breaths eventually calmed down, he pulled his face away from your neck and allowed you to wipe the tears away from his cheeks. And once you looked into his eyes and smiled gently, he smiled back and kissed you, it was his own way of thanking you without his words

" We can talk about this tomorrow, how does that sound, love? " " That sounds good, Rohi. " " I love you, Jamil. " " And I you, Y/N. "

Hello! And yes you may! I hope this was up to your expectations! :D

At first Riddle didn’t really understand how his S/O got so much joy from designing games, he thought that games were dumb and took up too much space or that they would turn your brain into mush. He questioned why they picked up such an ‘interesting’ hobby but when they answered that they found it fun and liked how people got joy from their creations he started to understand more.

He now silently watches them create them and sometimes even gives them ideas, though if they were to mention it to him, he would start to pretend he isn’t interested anymore (which is easy to tell when he’s lying).

If his S/O pulled and all nighter he would scold them and help clean them up while he made them breakfast. He understands why they like designing games so much but they have to put their health first! No exceptions.

Though sometimes he falls asleep next to them and they end up having to stop what their doing and put him to bed- They end up snuggling up and noticing how heavy their eyelids are. They end up falling asleep next to Riddle<3

Leona has mixed feelings about their little ‘hobbie’. He’s glad they have something they enjoy doing BUT he wants all of their attention to himself. So of course he would drive them to pay attention to him. Thought his pride won’t let him admit that he wants their attention. His excuse is that he’s just ‘hungry’ or he needs a good pillow to ‘nap’ on. Apparently their his pillow because he quite literally yanks them out of their chair to sleep on them.

Thought when they say that they really wanna finish their project he will back off with a grumble (after 20 minutes of bothering them that is) he’s a big drama Queen as his S/O will turn around and see his back to them and his tail swishing back in fourth in irritation with his arms crossed.

They end up getting leona a snack and a drink since they feel a little bad for leaving him alone. Leona always ends up with his S/O in his arms after a long day of nagging them so I guess it was worth it for him.

Vil would be neutral about his S/O being a game designer. In his defense it honestly depends on the game their designing. If it’s a game design that he finds dirty he would physically cringe, if it’s a game design that he finds to his liking, like a fantasy design , he would be all up in their business.

He would probably try and get his S/O to make a design about him at some point- His S/O would probably do it to! He would be so happy and kiss their face a million times. If they say no, he won’t bother them about it again. Though he would be a little upset but oh well.

He sometimes helps with the designs when he has nothing else better to do but he ends up having a fun time! He and his S/O make at least one design about themselves and it would be about romance.

Azul finds their talent very interesting and likes it surprisingly a lot! Him and his S/O would probably make a side business! For fun of course. Azul would work on his paper work while his S/O worked on a design. They would be sitting in a comfortable silence until Floyd and jade came barging in.

Floyd and Jade find it hilarious how azul has hearts practically in his eyes when looking at them. They of course use this as black mail but that would be for later purposes.

Azul and his S/O would probably fall asleep at their desks at some point and the twins would have to drag them to bed. When azul gets back to his office papers are everywhere. He fell asleep on a stack of papers and his S/O was using it as a pillow.

Kalim probably wouldn’t know much about it but he would support them anyways! He would try and help his S/O with their designs and probably give some bad advice but his S/O would be staring at him with hearts in their eyes so win-win?

Jamil at one point would have to drag kalim away from them so he could get their work done without any distractions. Kalim would whine while being dragged out of the room while saying how “I want to help them!” Or “It seems like so much fun!” Or “I want to support their work!” Hes so sweet.

Kalim would somehow sneak away from jamil and practically ram into them for a hug. He can’t be even a second away from his S/O or he would start to get lonely and miss them dearly<3

Idia would be over the moon! He would turn from quiet to loud in a second. He considered himself a bit of a designer as-well so he wanted to bond with his S/O over something they both liked to do! He would ask questions like “what got you into game design?” Or “wanna make something together?” Hes super excited over the idea of him and them making something together, makes his face turn a bright red and the tips of his hair pink at the thought.

Him and his S/O probably make each other designs as gifts to give to each other and every time Idia receives one he’s kicking his feet and giggling like a school girl thinking about her crush. Ortho ends up hearing about this and ends up getting into design a little himself. So he starts to also give both Idia and his S/O stuff as well. It makes their heart swell in joy.

Malleus wouldn’t understand the joy his S/O gets from being a game designer. He would know why but wouldn’t understand HOW they had fun doing it. Don’t get him wrong, he supports them fully! He just has a hard time bonding over something he doesn’t quite understand yet-

He would watch his S/O do their game design thing and probably end up getting confused or bored at some point. So he decided that instead of watching he was gonna try and make one of his own. He did have a hard time doing so though, he never has made a design before but he got the hand of it (at least he thinks so)

He ends up presenting it to his partner to show it off since he was quite proud of it, his partner was over the moon and excitedly asked if they could print it out and hang it on their wall. He was extremely flattered and said “child of man, you didn’t even have to ask such a question. Of course you can” now his S/O has a print of it in their room!

He now understands a little more about why they like to design games so much!

Riddle

A pair of crimson eyes tend to linger on your every step , whenever you stroll by the Heartsabyul dorm. The careful, watchful eyes of your schoolmate, Riddle Rosehearts. He is no stranger to the antics you pull, no matter if they were intended or not.

Riddle finds his reaction time improving by leaps and bounds whenever he hears your surprise. Immediately rushing to your side, ready to extract you out of whatever trouble you saw fit to land yourself in this time.

Both of his hands have long mastered the art of sliding around your waist, yanking in one smooth, fluid motion. Sometimes, the momentum gets the better of both of you, and you end up tumbling straight into his arms.

Clutching onto his shoulders, you hold him tight. Standing there in each other’s embrace, you two strike the perfect image of star-crossed lovers.

Riddle can’t help the way his lips slip upwards. A smile as sweet as ruby-red strawberry tarts. Honestly, prefect. You do enjoy having him on the edge, don’t you?

He still fusses quite a bit, though. Don’t expect to escape without a lecture. However, for all the words that fall from his lips, yours seem to have the most impact.

Odd, queer questions that would have never crossed his mind. You seem to have a knack for thinking of things people wouldn’t normally. Sometimes, he finds himself up at night pondering your queries.

Ace

You’ll soon grow used to a weight pressing onto your shoulders. Slinging an arm around you, Ace tends to lean into you quite a bit. He tags along wherever you go, that insufferable smirk never far from his lips.

Of course, it drops as quickly as it appears whenever he has to run to wherever you’ve wandered off this time. Ace has heard of air-minded people, but this is the first time he had to deal with one. There ain’t nothing but fluff and feathers up there, huh?

For all his teasing, Ace always is there to yank you out of whatever trouble you’ve stirred up. His arm stretching out, wrapping tightly around your torso. You could feel every pulse beating through his skin as Ace pulls you close. Out of harm’s reach.

Man, have you never heard? Curiosity killed the cat. You’re so lucky he was around to help you out. So how about a kiss, for all that effort?

Speaking of effort, you’ve made Ace burn more brainpower then the entire Night Raven curriculum has in an entire year. You had a weird fondness for weird questions that keep him tossing and turning in his sleep. Do you enjoy causing him sleepless nights?

For most of his misguided youth, Deuce was always the one charging forth, headstrong. Never stopping to think about the consequences. He would have called it courage, back then.

Now watching you leap mindlessly into mess after mess, he’s changed his mind. Deuce trails after you like a lost puppy, following your every step. Ace knew just as well as anyone that in modern day society, it was common to not end up with your soulmate. Some people never met their soulmate, some people's soulmates were just not a good match, some people seemingly didn't even have a soulmate. It was fine. Nothing to get butt hurt about. 

Ace's soulmate mark on the palm of his hand had never even sparkled, let alone lit up. And he'd found someone that he had fun with. He wasn't sure if it was really love, but that was fine since he couldn't be sure if he was even capable of love.

He probably wasn't. His only other relationship, he'd ghosted them once he got bored. So a fun relationship, with no love, was probably all he deserved.

Until the day the you'd poofed into the mirror chamber, and his soulmate mark had glowed for the first time in his life. He saw you looking around in confusion, and at the time, he had assumed you were looking for him. Later he would realize you were too scared to even notice your mark. He was so god damn selfish.

He quietly slipped a glove on that was supplied with his uniform, and decided to wait and scope you out.

You'd both just defeated a monster of some kind, and you, Deuce, and the cat monster were laughing together, but he was just thinking of you.

You. You were too good.

He couldn't do this with you. You'd be hurt at first, but it would be better than knowing your soulmate was a heartless asshole who would leave you when he got bored.

You never had to know. He'd take solace in what he had, and give you your best chance for happiness. 

His string of fate had finally become a natural color. And during the SDC auditions, he'd found it belonged to you. 

He'd told you the truth. That he'd been seeing many people, believing that you were dead, or he'd never been destined to meet you. He was practically pleading with you to forgive him for the crimes he'd committed against you, but you told him you'd done the same thing once you'd realized your string wasn't the correct color.

He fought back a wave of intense jealousy, by kissing you, and telling you he'd break up with the one he'd been dating immediately. Hell, he'd be doing it right this moment, if you hadn't told him it'd be cruel for him to do it over a call.

How could he even care about cruel when you were right in front of him? Ready to help him find his happily ever after! 

Lilia had always told him about soulmates, and how they would change your life. When you saw them, your world would literally expand, the otherworldly "colors" flooding your vision, but all you'd be able to focus on is their eyes.

He'd started at NRC, and Riddle Rosehearts had brought up the fact that a marriage of convenience would help Malleus more than being with his soulmate would. Silver had stepped in, repeating what master Lilia had always repeated. But Rosehearts was one that his lord respected dearly. There was no harm in trying it.

And one date with the rich merchant's kid had turned into two, had turned into three, had turned into a full relationship. For Sebek, the connections were very helpful to his king. For his partner, connections to the fae court, which were normally hard to come by, were completely open to them. 

While Lilia often gave the disappointed dad look,  and Silver wanted no part in the relationship, Sebek saw no reason to end it.

At least until the two of you made eye contact, and he finally got to experience color. 

You were ecstatic! But he was torn… could he give up this boon he had for his master, just for his own happiness.

He told you he needed time. You looked disappointed. Perhaps you had your own Lilia back home who had filled you with beautiful promises. But you told him you understood. Albeit with tears glimmering in the corners of your eyes.

He spent three days straight training. He didn't think to stop, even with the sweat streaming into his eyes, causing them  to burn more than they already were. 

It wasn't until he felt his Lord's calming presence entering his periphery, a steaming mug of hot cocoa, with a scoop of vanilla ice cream floating in it, in his hands.

"It would be foolish to work yourself to death."

Sebek halted his moves, sheathing his sword, and quietly grabbing the mug.

"It is not often you are rendered speechless," Malleus smirked,but Sebek could barely nod.

Malleus sighed. "Humans do not live very long. To have one for your soulmate is a blessing few get to share. You will have centuries to be bound to someone you do not love.Do not lose your chance to hold them while you have them."

Malleus vanished as quickly as he appeared. Sebek stared at his hot cocoa, before running to find you, while he still had the chance.

He was always so cold. No matter where he was, he never could find the warmth of his soulmate. He'd ask his friends every once in a while to see if there was a soul that was destined to truly belong to him. The answer was always no. So he lived in eternal winter.

Those trapped in the cold seek warmth. And he'd found solace in a simple witch. There was no love. The relationship was purely to bring warmth to one another.

Then one day, he felt a moment of relief, as his friends came running for him, all of them speaking over one another. The only word he could consistently catch was , "Soulmate". The worst part was that he was literally in the arms of his little witch.

It wasn't that he didn't want you. He desperately did. Especially when Everytime you walked into the room, the cold numbing his fingertips dissipate, and he'd feel like he was in a warm embrace.

But you never pushed him, because of the conversation he had with you the moment you walked into his shop for the first time.

"I can't."

"Huh?"

"Not yet. I have someone relying on me. I'm their only source of warmth. Can you wait for me?"

You truly were perfect for him, because you never brought it up. And if you were anything like him, you desperately wanted the warmth you would feel if you held him close to you. But you were so patient. Pretending everything was fine, while he searched tirelessly for a soulmate that might not exist, for a potion that would simulate the warmth. 

One day though. He promises that one day, he'll have it figured out. And then both of your patience will have paid off.

no one could ever love him. Which is why he wasn't bothered that no one's name was scrawled on his arm. And why he wasn't bothered when his brother had nervously asked if he'd be opposed to a betrothal to someone from another country. It's not like anyone was waiting for him.

It was a comfortable relationship. They definitely didn't love each other. But at least there was someone who had to at least pretend they cared when you complained about something. Comfortable. That's all he could ask for.

Until he'd felt pain on his arm, and found a name scrawled onto it for the first time. In a sea of new freshmen, he could pretend he didn't notice. He could pretend he didn't see.

And he hadn't run into the person the name belonged to, until you stepped on his tail in the greenhouse.

And after that, you were trying. You were trying so damn hard. It was endearing, and he almost let you in.

But deep down, he knew you'd one day seem him for who he was.

So one day, on edge from you asking him questions about himself, he snapped and told you to stop wasting your time, and get out of his life. Stop lying. No one could ever love him.

You glared at him. You called him a coward. And he growled back at you.

"I don't need you!"

For a moment, you seemed startled. Then you glared at him, and held your head high as you told him you wished him the best but doubted he'd find it.

And as he watched you storm off, a part of him knew you were right.

He has (reluctantly) come to respect your rather rebellious way of life, it isn't exactly different from the way other students in NRC were behaving anyways.

All he wanted was for you not to put yourself in danger and to, at least, follow the most basic rules of the dorms and the school.

Everyone knows Riddle's behavior when it comes to rulebreakers and they also know about your "rules are meant to be broken" attitude, so everyone was understandably confused and some even concerned when you two got together.

Yes, he has a very obvious bias towards you, but it's not by a lot. If you're not a student of Heartslabyul he'll be slightly more lenient (not collaring you unless you did something really bad, etc.), he'll even allow you to break a couple of Heartslabyul's rules if they're the more outrageous ones.

Alongside the rest of the Heartslabyul students, you helped teach him things like freedom and being more carefree, helping him slowly but surely break free from the mindset his mother brought him up with.

You'd sneak him out of his room late at night to go stargazing or sometimes even off-campus on convenience store runs, during school events you'd convince him to take a few minutes off his duties as housewarden to be able to experience the festivities for himself.

Hell, you even said you'd confront his mother for him if he wanted you to. That made him think you really weren't scared of anything.

Malleus Draconia !!

You've gotten in trouble with Silver and Sebek (mostly Sebek) a LOT.

It doesn't matter if you're also a third year, he has complained to you that you can't take Malleus off-campus to go to a 24-hour convenient store run and say it was for one of his late night visits.

But honestly, Malleus has no qualms with all of it, you were a breath of fresh air to him.

You've introduced him to a lot of...interesting things, mainly very weird food combinations. He was confused when you started dipping your fries in the ice cream sundae as if it was the most regular thing in the world.

He honestly finds the fact you two are opposites even cuter, it's just like those TV show tropes!!

If you're a worrywart then he's there to reassure you that there's nothing going to go wrong and to loosen up a bit and enjoy the day.

"It's not my first time being in danger, [Name], now let's go to that stall next!" "That isn't as reassuring as you think!!".

He's there to light your life up and let you experience more things that you wouldn't have been able to, and you're there to ground him and keep him from going too far.

If he's holding a party, then he's there to help you socialize more but only to a level you're comfortable with. If you're getting tired mid-celebrations then he'll walk you to your room then greet you goodnight if you don't mind him going back.

Especially after a hard day working or if a transaction didn't go too hot

You honestly kind of remind him of the pot he used to hide himself in when he was younger, so the pressure and being able to wrap himself around you is actually insanely comforting

Acts all smug when he confronts you and the freshmen but once they leave he’s blushing from head to toe. He can barely form a sentence as he tries to give thanks to you for being such a great partner. But he can’t help but ask if you actually think that highly of him. Once you reassure him he’ll become a blushing mess all over again. Will treat you to a special dinner at lounge that night to make sure you know how thankful he is to be yours.

Idia Shroud (over the moon)

On the outside he was an absolute embarrassed wreck after hearing you brag about him to Ace and Deuce. But on the inside he’s kicking his feet and giggling. His s/o bragging about him? "what was that for?" you ask with your hand hovering over your lip, still in shock from the kiss riddle had surprised you with. he quietly chuckles, not really meaning anything by it. "just to show my love, dear." riddle lifts your hand from your lips and kisses your knuckles one by one, before running the backside of your hand across his face.

-- listen, he definitely does that thing where he holds your chin and forces you to look up at him. sometimes, he thinks you can be a real brat, and he has only has so much patience for that. even when you aren't being a brat per say, he just loves eye contact and that flustered look you have when he makes you hold it with him for a long time.

riddle only has so much patience, and sometimes, you truly test him. this time, you've gone and broken the rules, and thats something riddle truly can't allow to go on. he finally has the chance to corner you against the wall. one hand traps you in and the other tilts your chin up so that you remain in eye contact with him. "i don't know where your attitude has come from dear but i suggest you ditch it. i don't like rulebreakers but they must be dealt with accordingly. so i'll say this one more time: fix your attitude or else you're in for a punishment. do you understand me?"

-- he absolutely loves the idea of you relying on him to reach something! riddle is still vertically challenged, so he can't reach everything. but he'll sure as hell give it his all so that he can continue to impress you.

Riddle would help any student in need (academically) if he was capable of doing so, he was just that kind of person, but because he liked you he was very willing to go above and beyond.

In his head he wonders, whatever happened to regular courtship? Like he's not flustered by the whole situation.

Riddle's answers carry that tone where it feels like he's seriously questioning your intentions/decisions, but also like he's trying to answer genuinely. It's almost like he's trying to let you have your cake and eat it too (that is to say, letting you have your fun) despite not being quite sure of how to go about it.

He hadn't planned on viewing any of your messages at first (or anyone's messages, really). He planned on viewing them once he finished up for the day.

But Leona was getting annoyed with the constant beeping, and honestly he was too (like, couldn't they just send it all in one message, whatever it was they wanted to say?) so he moved to view the messages quickly, maybe answer if he felt like it, then mute his phone for an hour.

Except he saw that the messages were from you, and he caught a peep of the link preview... and then he just lost it.

"It" being all sense of focus and comprehension and he knows it's bad because Leona's staring at him weirdly.

"Why are you blushing and giggling like a school girl what the hell..."

Leona just doesn't get it, Ruggie justifies. When the actual love of your life confirms their feelings for you it's enough to make anyone collapse to the floor and weep, and if anything Ruggie is holding up pretty well by, well, still being able to fold a shirt properly in spite of it all.

And then he almost messes up the laundry by mixing the colors with the whites, so maybe he is too distracted after all.

He can't really focus for the rest of the day, and when he's free from his assigned tasks he heads straight for his phone. He should be studying, but he doesn't think he can focus on that at this point without reading the form and just... seeing if you're for real, for real.

Ruggie answers like he's trying to be slick but he also can't help but slip in just how much he likes you and the types of reactions you get out of him.

Honestly you've just... lightened up his mood, like a lot. Like he just knows he's going to be full of energy and motivation tomorrow, and maybe the days after because of how much happiness you've given him.

You can tease him all you want for his answers and the spelling/grammar mistakes (in his defense, his hands were shaking the whole time!) but he can't even get himself to be too upset by it. You're laughing and giggling and that's all enough for Ruggie's good mood to skyrocket.

After that dies down, though, the two of you end up planning for your upcoming date.

Makes sure to check the link properly first since bait links are popular these days (he learned his internet safety from Idia). Messages you in a different platform to ask if you've been hacked.

When you tell him you were the one who sent the link, it still doesn't quite sink in that you're being genuine. Before a crush you are a friend and he does trust you, but a part of him wonders if this is some prank or if someone forced you to send him something like that. You must know how badly he likes you, don't you? Please don't make fun of his feelings like this.

He calls you to really make sure, and with some reassurance from you he finally understands that this isn't something mean, that it was a trend you wanted to hop on, and that you won't judge him for his answers

You tell him that he doesn't have to answer if it makes him uncomfortable, that you just thought it seemed fun, but he tells you he does want to answer it.

"If... if you really consider me as someone who could become your partner... When opportunity knocks on my door, who am I to not answer its call?"

He tries to sound more confident, but inevitably hangs up because he doesn't think he can answer properly with you on the phone. He might end up typing a bunch of nonsense!

Azul struggles with having a fun answer and answering completely seriously, almost like it's a job interview or something. Doesn't realize until the last few questions that there are no other candidates to compete with. Maybe he should have skimmed all the questions first before answering.

The good thing, though, is that you do learn about how Azul sees romance, so even if the whole form was meant as something silly at first you do learn more about him.

The last two questions gave Azul some confidence when it came to pursuing you. There's just something reassuring about actually knowing that his feelings weren't unrequited as opposed to having to make assumptions or having to make the effort to get you to fall for him.

You've already made most of the first moves, from confessing your feelings (albeit not quite in person, maybe he could try doing that...), to being the one to ask him on a date... There must be something he can do. He wants to play on equal ground, make the first move as well.

That's when the idea strikes him. It's not very innovative, but there's no need to fix what's not broken, is there?

Riddle looked around, seeing the prefect of Ramshackle Dorm running around and giving Valentines chocolates to his dorm mates. But Riddle was confused, was the Prefect ignoring him on purpose? Every time he passed by or called out for the prefect, you'd run away quickly or mutter a quick apology before reaching out to someone else. Giving out Valentines chocolates aren't a violation of the Queen of Hearts' rules, and Riddle also wanted you to give him some chocolates... His mother may beg to differ, but Riddle would gladly eat all the chocolates he obtained during Valentines. The day went on with the Prefect ignoring Riddle, and he quickly has had enough.

The prefect was with Trey in the Heartslabyul kitchen, and Riddle stomped in the room. With a slight grin, Trey exited the room and raised his thumbs, saying a quiet good luck. After closing the door behind him, Riddle walked up to you. "So, (Y/n). Mind telling me why you've been ignoring me the entire day?" His small frame was enough to corner you on the kitchen table, making sure you can't avoid him or his gaze. You moved back from intimidation, but pulled up all your courage in front of him.

'Ah, It's Valentines', Leona thought. But you seemed too preoccupied with Ruggie and Jack, it's starting to piss him off a little bit. Azul sulks slightly in his office. "I'm working hard too.." The octo-mer saw the three of you walk towards him in the office, and he quickly straightened up his position. "Well well, quite an honor to have you visit us in the Lounge today." Azul put on his best smile, to which the twins snorted at. Azul sighed and kicked the twins out of the office and chastised them for slacking off at work, before closing the door behind him and turning back to you. "Is there anything I can help you with?" You giggle softly, seeing his banter with the twins. "Oh, no no. It's just that I saw you were staring holes into us while we were chatting outside, I was wondering if *you* needed anything." Azul let out an audible squeak, he didn't mean to stare that intently. "A-ah, my apologies, I was simply zoned out." "Zoned out? Or expecting something?"

Azul averted his gaze away from you, fidgeting with his fingers. You decide that you've had enough teasing the Octo-mer, and pulled out a basket filled with hand-made chocolate truffles and a bouquet of white flowers. "Hehe, I couldn't resist teasing you. For the most hard-working manager of the year, will you be my Valentine's?"

Azul couldn't decide whether to open or close his mouth as he stood there gaping like a fish out of water. An octopus out of water, if you may. He quickly cleared his throat and fixed his crooked glasses, showing you his usual composure and confidence once again. "Ahem- Since you've put in the effort to give me such an exquisite gift, I would happily become your Valentine's, love."

Jamil Viper

Jamil stared at the tall tower of boxes in the Scarabia dorm. "Prefect, Kalim... Mind telling me what this is?" You stood on a ladder while Kalim held onto it for safety, and you quickly place a box on top of the pile. "There you go! I wanted to give Kalim a chocolate for Valentines, but it seems like he was drowning in chocolates sent by other students and from his family... So we decided to make a tower out of it!"

Jamil mentally facepalmed. "Kalim, didn't you say that you're gonna stop your family from sending excessive amounts of chocolate...?" "Ah! I did! But it seems like they still did it anyway.. Oh well~" Kalim cheered, laughing happily. "You can take some if you want, Jamil!" The taller man shook his head, staring at the boxes of chocolate-covered dates in front of him. "No thanks. I don't want the Asims to think I'm taking what's yours, Kalim."

Kalim didn't mind, he simply shrugged and went off to find more dorm mates to offer chocolates. You could tell Jamil looked a little put off by something though, even if you didn't know what it was. "You okay, Jamil?" You call out, waving a hand in front of his face. "Ah... (Y/n). Yeah, I'm alright. Why do you ask?" Although he answered you, his eyes were constantly trailing towards the decorated orange box on top of the pile- the chocolates you gave to Kalim, specifically. You took Jamil's hand and dragged him away from the choco-tower, finding yourselves in the dorm's courtyard.

"I made some sweets for you too, Jamil. I, wanted it to be more special than the complementary ones I gave Kalim, so... Will you be my Valentine's?" Jamil stared at the basket in front him, neatly tied with a red and yellow ribbon. "I made the chocolates using Scalding Sands spices, by the way! I think it really makes them taste better, and perhaps bring a bit of home for you." Jamil broke into laughter, accepting the basket from your hands. "Oh prefect, you never fail to surprise me. Chocolates with spices are definitely a good move. Of course I'll be your Valentine's, (Y/n)."

Vil Schoenheit

You definitely had your worries about giving chocolates to THE Vil Schoenheit. And that didn't escape Vil's eyes either, as he watches you give chocolates to Epel and Rook in front of Pomefiore's doors. "Mon Trickster! What wonderful gift you have given us!" "These look great, thanks so much!"

Vil keeps watching silently as Rook told Epel the wonders of chocolate, and how it could fatten you up if you ate too much at once, while also reminding Epel to not eat any of the chocolates Vil's fans had shipped to Pomefiore. Epel only sighed in defeat as he listens to another one of his senior's rants, making a mental note to make sure he finishes his share of the chocolates before Rook or Vil could complain about it to him.

"My dear Roi du Poison, what has your mind occupied?" Rook said, looking at the silent Vil. "If you have any trouble, I'm positive our Prefect here could give you the solution to your woes?" Rook looked at you with a knowing smile, pulling Epel with him and entering the dorm to leave the two of you alone.

"U-um, Vil-" "No words are needed, (Y/n). I suppose you were confused on what to give me for Valentines, but I can't help but feel a little betrayed." He leans into your face a little, and you had to look away from his sharp gaze.

You shook your head, pulling out a neatly decorated box. Vil took the box into his hands, and quietly gasps as he sees multiple chocolate-dipped apple slices and strawberries. "I know you're usually strict when it comes to your diet, and you always have a bunch of fans sending you the highest quality chocolates out there.. So I tried making my own, but using fruits to sort of lessen the guilt of eating them. Sorry if it didn't rise up to your expectations.."

Vil softly laughs, taking a strawberry and gingerly biting into it, his beauty while eating your sweets making you fall for him all over again. "After so many expensive packaged chocolates, seeing you give me a more personalized, homemade one makes it all the more better. You truly are the only one worthy of being my Valentine's, (Y/n). Thank you.

Idia Shroud

Don't get me started with Idia. If you asked him if he's looking forward to Valentines, he'd respond to you like this :

"valentines? LOL, cringe." "the only gifts im getting are the valentine's edition SSR card, fuhehe~" "eugh, don't lump me in with those mushy lovey-dovey normies."

But even after saying all that, he can't help but sulk in his room when he saw you and Ortho giving out chocolates to other Ignihyde students. Ortho couldn't consume any chocolates, so you got him to join you and share the joy with the other students instead. Ortho thinks it was a blast!

Idia looked at his computer screen, the cutesy song from his gacha game playing on his headphones. He got the card he's been waiting for, and he also got free gems from his valentine's login event, so why does he feel so... sad?

*knock knock* "Nii-san~!" "What is it, Orth- UUAAGH!" Idia almost screamed as he sees you in front of his door, immediately shutting the door in your face. "G-GIVE ME A SECOND...!" He quickly closed his game and made sure he looked decent before stepping out, covering his face with his tablet. His tablet lit up and the speaking software came up, Idia's voice coming out of the speakers. "W-what is it? Y-you're not here to laugh at me for playing games or anything, right..?"

"What? No! I'm here to give you these, Idia." You pull out a beautifully decorated cake with blueberries and blue icing, and gave it to Idia. "I know you said it's cringe, but would you still be my Valentine's? I made this cake so you could snack on it while you game too, and it wouldn't dirty your hands or get all crumbly over your desk."

Idia's hair turned a bright pink, as he accepted the cake and gave his tablet to Ortho for safe keeping. Idia opened his mouth to thank you personally, but was too shy to say it. "T-Thank you.. I-it's cringe, but I'll be your Valentine's."

Malleus Draconia

Did Malleus know it was Valentine's day? Probably not. But was he jealous when he saw you with Lilia, Sebek, and Silver laughing and chatting together in Diasomnia's lounge? Perhaps.

"HUMAN!! I don't usually accept gifts from a mere human, but... thanks." "These are really cute chocolates~ I'll make sure to return the favor on White Day, and I'll make handmade chocolates too~" "Thank you, Prefect. These are perfect to keep me awake for studying." He thought he wasn't invited again, and he was already outside walking dejectedly towards Ramshackle dorm. Maybe the peace over there would soothe him a little.. "Tsunotaro? Is that you?"

The sight of you walking back to your dorm takes him out of his trance, and Malleus stands up to greet you. "Greetings, Child of Man. Coming back from Diasomnia, were you?" You nod, running towards him and ushering him to sit on the grass. "Yeah! Today is Valentine's day, so I wanted to share some chocolates with Lilia, Silver, and Sebek! I didn't quite see you around, though.. Ah, do they not have Valentines over at Briar Valley? Usually on Valentines day, you give sweets or chocolates to the people you love."

Malleus knew what Valentines was, but he didn't realize it was on that day. Upon hearing your words, he was even more dejected, knowing that he didn't get one when his other peers did. He was so absorbed in his sulking, he didn't realize you rummaging through your bag and pushing a piece of chocolate onto his lips. Malleus gasped in surprise, but indulged you and let you feed him the chocolate. "Did I mention that you could ask a loved one to become your partner on this day?"

The fae's earlier pout turned into a smirk, as he licks his lips clean of your chocolates. "Hoo? Continue.."

You pull out a glass container decorated with elegant black motifs, and multiple black and white chocolates were stacked on top of each other. "Will you be my Valentine's, Tsunotaro?" Malleus took the chocolates from your hands, closely examining your elegant handiwork and took your hand in his, as you two sat on the grass surrounded by glittering fireflies. "Alright, I shall indulge you and become your Valentine's today, dearest (Y/n)."

Riddle Rosehearts

His face goes entirely red when he hears you say that. He may need a moment to pull himself together.

He likes the idea of being yours and you marking him as yours in such a way, but he still scolds you all the same. He’s a housewarden after all, and has a reputation to uphold.

It would give off the wrong impression if people saw a lipstick mark on him. But that doesn’t mean he’s against it. He’ll absolutely let you leave lipstick marks in less obvious places, like his lower neck and shoulders where his clothes hide them from view.

Leona Kingscholar

It makes him grin. Of course, he’l act like it doesn’t bother him either way, but it makes him happy to know that you want to mark him as yours. Maybe you’ll let him mark you as well? It just won’t be with lipstick since he doesn’t wear it.

He doesn’t care who sees the marks as he’s going along with his day. Ruggie tries to bring it to his attention, thinking Leona hasn’t realized it but the lion beastman just waves him off.

He’ll let you mark as visibly as you want whenever, and he proudly shows it off in his own lazy way. If people start talking, let them talk. He doesn’t worry about a little bit of gossip.

Azul Ashengrotto

Another one who will go entirely red and basically shut down for a few minutes after he realizes it. It takes him a shorter amount of time to calm down than it takes Riddle.

He still scolds you but less harshly since he does have a reputation to uphold but it is still makeup that can be cleaned. He won't be as startled about it as Riddle is but nowhere near as lax as Leona.

Though he will let you mark him up with lipstick later. With his insecurities, it feels nice to belong to someone and marked as theirs.

Kalim Al-Asim

Doesn't mind one bit. Want to mark him as yours with your lipstick covered lips? No problem! He doesn't mind a little bit of lipstick on his skin. He would absolutely love to show everyone that he's yours.

Jamil would probably have an aneurysm though. With Kalim's status, he knows how his reputation will change if people see him like that. So he takes it upon himself to make sure it gets cleaned off.

Kalim is sad about it but as he knows Jamil is right, there's not much he can say. But he does let you nark him up in less visible places.

Vil Schoenheit

Absolutely not! Do you know who he is? He loves you with all his heart, dear, but he can't go walking around with visible lipstick marks on him.

He may like how it looks on his skin, but he won't tell you that since he doesn't want to tempt you.

He would rather mark you, if you will let him. His lipstick is high end so who knows? it might look better on you.

Idia Shroud

The king of freezing up and shutting down. He doesn't know how to react. Did this really happen to him?? Him of all people?

That pale face is immediately going to be a deep shade of red immediately. He’s still surprised you wanted to be in a relationship with him, so you wanting to ‘mark’ him will probably take some time to get used to.

But once he warms up to it, he won’t mind if you leave a bit of lipstick on him after your makeout sessions.

Malleus Draconia

He would be… confused. You marked him as 'yours' with a lipstick mark? You humans definitely have strange courting rituals.

After you explain it to him however, he'll be pleased. It'll absolutely piss Sebek off at seeing Malleus bearing such an unsightly mark, but it's not like he can, it would, argue with Malleus.

Beware, leaving lipstick on Malleus after a makeout session and saying it’s to mark him as yours is akin to a marriage proposal in his mind. So now you’ll have to deal with a very clingy but very happy dragon.
