raph:

autistic. sometimes gets overstimulated in loud spaces, like crowds, and does not remember little things at times. does not deal well with pressure or stress, and often thinks of himself as unintelligent. claustrophobia, but doesn’t like bringing it up. he also hates solitude.

oldest child responsibilty. suffers with overprotective tendancies, overthinking, and never really relaxing unless his family is safe. despite splinter’s care and presence, raph would sometimes have to take care of his brothers when splinter would be in a depressive funk. this leads to him learning early how to take care of his little brothers, developing a sort of “papa bear” trait.

dyslexia. mainly listens to audiobooks, or asks one of his brothers to read to him. the words don’t form right to him, and his left eye blindness only worsened it.

farsighted, often uses glasses when sewing or reading comics.

hands-on learning. helps him understand the material better when he actually does it, which explains his eagerness to try something new.

auditory or aural learning. processes the information better when being told it, instead of reading it. hence his listening to audiobooks.

soothed by physical contact (ie, hugging) or soft textures, like stuffed animals and blankets.

donnie:

autistic. like raph, he gets overwhelmed by loud or crowded areas, as well as brightly lit places. does not work well under stress, and often thinks of himself as not good enough for the family, despite their assurances. fears being abandoned, even though he knows it would never happen.

extremely sensitive hearing, hence his headphones. Less for music, more for noise cancellation.

near-sighted, wears contacts instead of glasses.

lecture and note-taking. hence his notes in the lab being shoved into binders or folders.

logical learning. likes challenging himself with tough problems, so he’s sure that he understands it.

leo:

adhd-combined and autistic. cannot really focus on many things if they don’t interest him, and forgets sometimes. often shuts down entirely if he’s too overwhelmed. fears being abandoned, HEAVY self-worth issues, and is incredibly insecure.

tends to talk more when something excites him, such as a topic he likes.

dyscalculia. he doesn’t do well with remembering math formulas, times tables, or graphs. wrote them down and refers to them a lot when he needs to.

poor hearing from birth due to slider traits. often wears hearing aids when out and about.

learns best by lecture and note-taking. he can crack open an ap anatomy textbook and start writing immediately if it interests him.

mikey:

adhd-hyperactive. often gets bursts of energy. either by rambling to anyone who will listen, or by drawing or sketching out his thoughts. likes constantly doing things. at times can become sidetracked, which leads to him feeling frustrated with himself. fears that he’ll never truly be enough for his family, even though they love him.

youngest child issues. often smothered or overprotected way too much, leaving him to lash out at his family, and indirectly underestimate his own skills and intelligence at times.

shakiness in his hands post-invasion led to his dysgraphia to worsen. his art is fine, but his handwriting is not the best. often feels frustrated with it, even now.

visual learning. he likes circle graphs or analogies he can apply. he’s a very creative thinker, leading him to imagine things in his mind to solve a problem.

interpersonal learning. likes to chat with others in order to learn about a topic, whether through debate or simple conversing.

Do you ever think of the psychological effects a 14 year old child would have due to thinking of his parent as the kid instead because his caretaker doesn't act like a responsible father.
