I think I had a dream where Mystique was in prison and Russetfrond was guarding her. But like. It was an actual, stone prison with bars and stuff

Mystique was flirting loudly with Russetfrond from her cell and he was like "They're gonna hear you if you shout, stop, STOP IT-"

Also Scorch visited her and Mystique (who was pregnant with Russet's kits) tricked her into thinking she'd somehow gotten Mystique pregnant despite being the same sex and also neutered

(Trying to distract from Scorch pain) Wondering due to Sparrowpaw's chapter, is it possible for him to end up with Slatekit when they're older or do you have limits on what kinda age gaps relationships have?

I'm not gonna spoil any future relationships so I can't comment on that specifically, but

As far as age gaps go, with cats its not as important that they be close in age, like once youre both warriors, I don't think theres as much stigma around how old each cat is. Especially with the Oddlets and SmokeyGhost kits, theyre only 6 moons apart and if I disallowed that kind of age gap almost no cats would have viable partners. Like I think Nightfrost and Yarrowshade had a bigger age gap than that (with her being at least like 15 moons older).

So yes, something like that is possible. As long as they aren't blood related or a mentor and apprentice pair, Clan Gen allows for adult cats to get together. For instance, I think Aldertail eventually settles down with a cat who won't be born for moons.

"Rescue" by Lauren Daigle (to me at least) has the GoldenScorch vibes. From Goldie's POV, as she seems quite determined to help Scorch heal

Love your writing and story telling! Always so hyped when a new post comes out, genuinely super invested in these characters!! Also, how far apart in age are Scorch and Goldenstar? Because (in the latest post especially) I’ve been getting some possible future romance vibes from them, although I may just be reading too far into it haha

Thank you so much! Having people invested in the characters is the best payoff in the world for me, and thanks so much for saying so cause its hard to believe people are invested when they stay quiet.

I'm glad people are picking up on some of my hints haha but sadly we'll have to wait a good long while for any romances inside the clan.

As for Ages, when Scorch arrived she was 87 moons old and Goldenstar was 86 moons. Yarrowshade was 95, Nightfrost was 106. Most of the clan are in that 80 to 100 range, with Songdust, Sagetooth, and Smokyrose ranging from 118 to 160 in that order. Ospreymask and Branchbark are the only young warriors left after the Red Gut, 40 moons and 35 moons respectively.
