You have been the second choice for as ling as you can remember. Being the little sister of Stella, you couldn't actually get away from that. 

Always being left by friends because the other one got more popular. Always having last to be picked in a group assignment. 

Always. 

Until one day you didn't feel like that anymore. Until one day you met him. 

It's weird honestly, having feelings for your sister's boyfriend's best friend. 

That was confusing. 

With Riven you always felt like the first choice. The top priority, and not the backup plan. 

But all of that went down the drain when he suddenly had this thing with Beatrix. 

At first you thought it was just a fling. Although that still hurt you, you thought it was anything but having emotions. 

But they got closer, and to anyone, in one glance they could probably say that they're a couple.

The door creaked open and your heart skipped a beat looking at his shirtless figure, with bed hair.

He moved to the side to let you in the room, and as you were in, you immediately tackled the boy into a hug.

The scent alone made you calmer but when he securely wrapped his hands around your waist, you felt home.

"Thanks." you smiled and didn't take down the offer as you quickly wore it. The familiar scent of him filled your nostrils as you sighed in relief, feeling the warmth enveloping you. 

"You wanna talk about it?" he asked softly, sitting down beside you on his bed — not wanting to break you more in your already fragile state. 

You were too tired to think as you shook your head. "No." 

"Alright, you can stay here tonight if you'd like." he nervously offered. As close as you guys are, you didn't actually go past the 'cuddling' stage. 

You felt your heartbeat picked up, as you said, "Are you sure? I don't want to be a bother-" 

"Yeah I'm sure." he answered quickly, ending your rambling. 

You let out a soft 'okay' as you laid back onto his bed. The softness of the mattress invites your sleepiness.

You were already half asleep as you moved to your other side and curled up with him.

A loop-sided grin made its way to Riven's face as he relaxed his body, his hand moved to your back drawing circles and having the best sleep in his life.

You were so into the song you didn't even realise your bedroom door was open, there stood Riven staring at you in awe.

The boy has never heard you sing before and it blew him away.

While you were at your table, Riven moved from his spot and moved to your bed as it creaked, immediately stopping you from singing more.

You jumped up from your spot and was met with Riven staring adoringly at you. 

"Do you not know what knocking is?!" you shrieked at him. Mad that he scared you like that and because he caught you singing a song when you were thinking of him.

Riven ignored your little outburst as he said, "Why didn't you tell me you can sing?" with a small smirk on his face.

You sighed, as you answered his question with a question. "What are you doing here?" the edge to your voice was almost unrecognisable but Riven picked that up first thing.

His smile faltered, but he shrugged his shoulders acting like he didn't care. "The party got boring." in all honesty he just missed you, but he wouldn't tell you that. 

You clenched your jaw, the second result. Again. "Well, where's Beatrix? Thought she was keeping you company." the tone of your voice dipped with such venom. 

From snapping more, you moved around your room picking up clothes that were on the floor to distract yourself.

Riv looked at you, distraught. What did he do? He thought. 

He too moved from his spot and went to the table, noticing the book you once held. 

You were too angry and pissed to notice him flicking some of the pages. 

First it was all about the classes, the colour of the sky, the teacher being annoying. 

But one sentence got his eye, it was his name. 

okay maybe i do have a teeny weensy crush on riven but that's just it. 

it's how it's always been, and nothing is going to change that.

The tension in the room could be cut with a knife, you didn't even realise you took a step forward. Your chests are almost touching each other. 

Your breathing was heavy because all the pent up feelings you have for the boy in front of you coming out like a tidal wave. 

The tension was too much for Riven as cupped your face in his hands and connected his lips with yours. 

You sharply took an intake of breath, the kiss sent you speechless. But he pulled away before you could even respond.

What was supposed to be just a night of watching movies turned out to be something entirely different, your moans echoing through the room as you writhed in pleasure. Ecstasy took over your body, your nails scratching Riven's back making him growl in your ear which made you get more aroused.

You feel shame rushing through you as you watched Riven get off you and sit, naked, in front of you. Your mouth opened and closed several times but the words didn't come out.

"It’s fine," Riven says.

“No Riv, it's not okay. I can't believe I hurt you." You say shaking your head and getting up, picking up your clothes that were scattered on the floor.

“Babe, please calm down.” Riven says, also getting up to get dressed.

"Don't ask me to calm down, I've lost control of my powers and this shouldn't happen." You say picking up your bag and heading towards the door.

Riven quickly stopped in front of you blocking your way, you looked at him seriously and he just shook his head making a negative sign.

“I'll talk to you later Riv, please let me go. I need to think." You say with a weak smile.

Despite being annoyed, he obeys your request and lets you pass. As soon as you open the door, you run out and end up bumping into Sky who frowns.

Sky looks at the empty hallway you had passed and then looks at Riven who was looking lost. He decides to enter the room and closes the door in a state of confusion.

"What happened between you two?" Sky asks.

"I told you… their powers were potentially dangerous with strong emotions," Riven says.

Sky raises his eyebrows and makes a face of who can't believe what he was hearing, making Riven roll his eyes.

"Which one?", you asked, sighing and finally giving up on sending that text, throwing your phone onto the bed next to you. When you looked up, you almost choked. Alright - you'd seen Riven naked countless times. Him shirtless was almost a daily occurrence yet... every time he came in like that, every time he took his shirt off, when he was sweaty, when he showered, at practice, whatever - oh, god. How had you ended up with someone this attractive? How had-

Your eyes widened, instantly blinking up at him again. His eyebrows were raised, a grin planted on his lips. You bit yours in embarrassment - staring was one thing, being caught was another.

He walked up to you still with that grin on his face, his knees on the edge of the bed, inching over to you. His hair was damp, his belt unbuckled, his eyes locked on yours. You giggled when he was finally close enough to touch, and leant in for a kiss, but he pulled back, tsking as you pouted.

This came out way way WAY later than I intended it to be. My apologies for the wait, it's always busy during this time of the year pfft.

To be honest, I was trying to alter my writing on this one just a tiny bit but it didn't come out as I envisioned, I hope you enjoy though!

Sky 

As king of Eraklyon, Sky is a natural-born leader who is eager to spring into action during moments of crisis. This is, perhaps, why he’s sometimes prone to jumping to conclusions and making sudden decisions. That’s where his S/O comes in. When he needs it, she helps to keep him grounded and reassess situations. 

The night had been a calm one. With schoolwork/training out of the way, the couple had decided to go on a small date together. Sky was a stickler to classic dates, meaning the two had decided to go out to a local restaurant for dinner. After a night filled with delicious food and light-hearted conversations, they contently left the restaurant to go for a late-night walk around the more secluded areas nearby. The stroll was peaceful for the most part, loving the other's presence as they enjoyed some much-needed downtime, before they heard a voice from behind them shout, holding a sharp weapon towards them and commanding them not to move. 

Sky, always quick to act on a situation, went to step in front of his S/O. However, she was quicker, extending her arm out to prevent him from doing so. The stranger urged them both to hold still as he cautiously paced over to them. Beginning to get a bit too close to his S/O, Sky was about to fend off the stranger when, to his surprise, his S/O grabbed onto the stranger's wrists and shoved them to the ground. 

Surprisingly (or unsurprisingly), Sky is the most shocked out of the four. When he first met his S/O, she immediately reminded him of Brandon. The two of them were the definition of calm and collected and restrained (a familiarity that could’ve possibly drawn him to her). He genuinely had no idea his S/O could defend herself and he feels a bit naïve for underestimating her. 

By the time his speechless stuttering has ceased, the stranger had already been scrambling off (albeit, barely). He feels proud to have such a capable S/O, though there’s a small part of himself that wishes she still needed his help.

Brandon 

Don't underestimate Brandon's so-called "superficialness" and overly flirtatious tendencies. He's a strategic thinker who rarely acts impulsively. In this way, him and his S/O were similar. Pair them together and the two make for an unstoppable duo.

Brandon and his S/O had been wandering through Solaria's famed shopping district, periodically scurrying from store to store to cover as many stores as they could for their weekly shopping trip. It was a long weekend, so the area was much busier then it usual, meaning trouble could be brewing at any corner. The two had been lucky to avoid any mishaps so far, but their moment of solitude wouldn't last for long. While his S/O was occupied with browsing the items on the shelves, she felt a hand swipe past her pockets and grab a valuable item of hers before bolting towards the store's exit. She quickly disregarded what she was doing and chased after him, Brandon following suite.

There were waves of people outside, causing him to get lost in the crowd. He was growing increasingly worried as he searched for where the robber and his S/O had run off to. Finally, he had managed to locate the pair in a secluded alleyway, where he stumbled upon a bit of an unexpected sight. There they were, his S/O and the one who had robbed her, fighting in an all-out brawl, a loud *slam* resounding as she pinned him to the wall.

Brandon shakes his head as he runs a hand through his hair. He doesn't know why he was so worried. It's not like he assumed that his S/O was helpless. He was aware that she knew how to fight, but he had no idea she packed this much of a punch. He’s even a little intimidated by it, but in a good way.

With the criminal knocked out, Brandon finally speaks. He gives his S/O an amused look, joking about writing himself a reminder to never make her angry. Of course he’s taking the opportunity to throw a bunch of teasing comments, but he’s genuinely impressed.

Helia 

Helia and his S/O seemed so alike that it was uncanny. They were both known to be the mature ones in their respective friend groups, seemingly lacking in temper and aggression. Their extreme levels of patience, temperance, and open-mindedness were unmatched. Due to this, it can be a bit of a shocker to others when they drop the pacifism.

The two had decided to take a daytime stroll through a quaint park outside of Magix City. It was a peaceful day, the warmth of the sun bouncing off their skin as they admired the vibrant outdoor scenery. The pair had taken a pit stop at the edge of a small lake, with Helia wanting to take a quick sketch of it's beauty. As she watched him stroke his pencil across the pages in his sketchbook from a distance, she was caught off-guard when someone wrapped their arms around her waist, pulling her backwards in an attempt to restrain her and reaching for the contents in her pockets.

The lack of talking followed by a string of grunts drew Helia's attention from his sketchbook to the troubled state of his S/O. Though he preferred to avoid fighting, he couldn't help but feel the need to step in and protect her (a likely result of his specialist training), however, she didn't seem to need any protection as she was quick to turn the tables on the robber.

Helia stops in his tracks, simply watching as his S/O lands hit after hit. He was a bit surprised to see his calm and collected S/O go physically all out against this robber, but his shock quickly faded away into an loving sigh. He had always trusted that she would be capable of defending herself when she needed to, and he was glad that his hunch wasn't wrong. In general, he's the quickest to accept her fighting spirit, and it just makes him love her even more.

When his S/O has had her fill, the robber runs off, leaving the two of them alone. Helia double checks to make sure she isn't hurt. Once she reassures him, he chuckles to himself, wrapping an arm around her in affection. 

Riven 

Riven's hot-headed nature was a stark contrast to his S/O's laid-back demeanor. The other specialists couldn't deny that Riven was a blunt guy who had a very direct approach when it came to conflict. Meanwhile, his S/O had an eerie ability to remain calm, even in dire situations. The two appeared to be complete opposites, leaving a number of people to question their relationship (not that they cared for others opinions).

Whilst wandering through the Magix City, Riven had stopped to purchase lunch at a nearby food stall while his S/O stood and waited nearby. She decided to occupy herself, so she reached into her bag to grab her phone. That's when she felt the sudden grasp of a hand on her wrist as a masked stranger attempted to grab her purse.  Seeing no other way out of the situation, she took a step back, taking her free arm and weaving it through the robber's wrists to stop their movements before using her strength to free herself.

Riven, who had come back after realizing he left his wallet in his S/O's purse, caught sight of the fight that was transpiring, at least, if you could even call it a fight considering the fact that one of the figures was losing tremendously. Once he realizes that the winning figure is his S/O, his reaction is a mixed bag. On one hand, he was impressed by her independence and skill. He had seen her train in the past, but that was nothing compared to how she held herself in a real fight.

That being said, there's part of him that can't help but feel a bit insecure. Seeing her in action would make him wonder if she truly needed him or not. After all, she can defend for themself, so does that mean she'd leave him?

He doesn't bring up his insecurity. Instead he walks over to his S/O and silently makes sure they aren't severely injured, all while chewing out the robber that was now laying flat on the ground. After he's calmed down, he applauds his S/O for defending herself. He sounds reluctant in doing this, but he's trying his best.

BLOOM- she just started drifting to sleep when she heard light tapping on her window. Opening her eyes she saw you signing for her to open the window. When you slid in you laughed at her surprised look. "What are you doing here?" She had asked, but you just smile and kiss her.

Bloom will be nervous at first, but than she'll ease up and will drag you to her bed to talk, not risking anything else to not wake up Aisha.

AISHA- she was doing her homework, quietly to not wake up Bloom who was already sleeping when she noticed you waving outside the window. She instantly started worrying as she thought something happened. She opened the window letting you in "did something happen? Are you ok?"

Reassuring her everything is fine and you just wanted to see her, she'll tell you how irresponsible you are and try to shoo you away. You will eventually surrender and leave, but not before teasing her and kissing her goodbye.

STELLA- she was getting ready to sleep when she heard a tapping on the window. Turning her head towards it she saw you waving at her. She smirks, going to the window and letting you in. "Hey handsome" she said and kisses you deeply, feeling your hands wrap around her waist.

She has no problem with it and is happy you came. She'll invite you to bed, sitting on top of you. You'll have to be quiet, no matter what you do, but you do have your privacy as the other girls all sleep in other bedrooms.

MUSA- she already sensed you coming up, so she opened the window and sat back down on her bed, taking her headphones off. You slid to the room and saw her smiling at you. He likes sticking out with you but worries that someone will see you coming to his room, so you just go outside to a more private place and hang there, when he is visibly more relaxed.

BEATRIX- she was reading a spells book when she saw you gesturing for her to open the window. She put the book aside and opened the window. Smirking, she didn't let you in yet "did you want something?" She asked. "Come on let me in" you pleaded. When you were both inside you hoped on her bed, lying on your back with your hands behind your head. She claimed on top of you and started kissing you.

She loves when you snick inside her dorm and distract her, making her worries go away and just have fun.

SILVA- he was working on taking his gear off when he saw you climbing up to his window. With a shocked expression he opened the window and helped you gat inside. "What the hell are you doing here?" after shifting to fate the winx saga for a little while, i finally got some muse to write, so here is a realistic headcanon list for how it would be like to date riven!! this is based on my shifting experiences but they are also realistic imo based on his personality in the show.

There is absolutely nothing she likes about Riven. She hates the way he walks, abhors the sound of his voice and the way he glares at her is just ridiculous after all the years they've known each other.

Somehow, despite the glare, his sneer is what truly irritates her. It's as if she had somehow offended him and his ancestors just by being born and at some point she was bound to break...his nose that is.

"What the actual fuck?!" He groans as he bends over, gripping his nose as blood gushes between his fingers and onto the grass.

"If you'd pay attention more, it wouldn't have happened." She curls her lips into a smirk that instantly brings a frown to his face. "So, it's really your fault."

Straightening his back, Riven's left eye narrows ever so slightly. "I could report you."

Snorting, Y/N folds her arms across her chest. "And admit I broke your nose?" Quirking her right eyebrow, she chuckles wickedly. "Please let me be there when you do." Because if there is one thing specialists don't do, is admit defeat, especially from those supposedly weaker than them. 

Grimacing, he stares at her coldly and for a moment Y/N is sure he’s plotting her demise and where to hide the body once he’s done. 

It’s always been like this between them, but the worst of it began when she started dating Sky. They didn’t last, but Riven’s hatred for her was already out of hand and she could never understand why. 

As kids, Riven was avoiding her, as teens he was annoying her and now he just hated her with no reservations.

“You might as well take a picture”, she winks, “considering you can’t get enough of me.”

“Fuck you”, his eyes fall to the ground before turning away from her. Starting to walk away, he shakes his head. 

Most times, she’d just let it go and wave him off, but Y/N’s heart tends to crave chaos and her mind doesn’t argue - she’s always been the type to follow her heart, her mind has always surrendered to it. 

“I’m curious”; she speeds up to catch up with him, her voice slightly raised so he can’t ignore her. “Since you’re surely going to skip over the truth, what will your excuse be? Hit a tree? Ran into a door?”

Groaning, Riven’s walk turns into a light sprint, but there is no point. Y/N’s the fastest in their class; she can outrun him even if he ran for his life. 

“Boyfriend of your latest hookup caught you together?” She snickers and at once, Riven stopped. Turning on his heel, he didn’t hesitate as he walked toward her much smaller frame and despite the clear intent in his eyes, she didn’t run; she didn’t even flinch as he grabbed her shoulders and all but slammed her into the wall to their left. 

Breathing heavily, Riven’s eyes darken as he bows his head so he can meet her gaze. “What the fuck do you want from me, huh?” 

A light trail of blood forms down his lips and chin, trickling down on her shirt, but she doesn’t care. She finally got a fraction of his attention, a moment to try and push the right buttons to understand his unadulterated hate.

“What makes you think I want something from you”, she quirks an eyebrow but he adds pressure and she can feel the rough material of the wall digging itself into her back. Clenching her jaw, she smirks. “Mhhmm, I like it rough.”

Letting out a heavy breath he’s clearly been holding, a small smile slips past his defenses and she can’t help but gasp.

“So he does smile!”

Shaking his head, he licks his lips only to frown as he feels the metallic taste of blood on his tongue.

“I’m warning you, Y/L/N”, his voice is low, laced with a promise he intends to keep which made it more exciting for Y/N who found pleasure in the cracks he’s showing now. 

“Of what”, she pouts. Raising her hand, she swipes the blood off his chin with her thumb before bringing it to her lips. “Tasty”, her smile widens as his eyes do. 

“You’re insane”, he states.

“Yet you’re pressed against me and not leaving? Interesting.”

Swallowing thickly, the pressure he’s got on her shoulder relents. His eyes flicker to her lips only for his to part. 

“I don’t like repeating myself. What do you want from me?” Riven’s hands slowly trail from her shoulders down to her elbows, waiting for an answer.

“And if my answer was you, what would you say?”

Narrowing his eyes on her, his eyebrows furrow. “That you’re a liar.”

“Why is that?” 

“Because you’re not who you’re acting to be right now and I am not the kind of guy you fall for, so don’t lie to me.”

Snorting, she shakes her head. “Or you have some serious insecurities”, she licks her lips. “Because if you were less pretentious and gave a fuck about anyone but yourself, you’d be exactly the guy I’d fall for.”

Lightly pushing against his chest, Y/N found it easy to escape his hold. She could have done so sooner, but for a split second, she found she doesn’t hate Riven. She hates the guy he tries to be around her and the guy he’s trying to be in front of everyone.

Patting his shoulder, she finds her heart wildly beating as their eyes meet. 

“Stop being an asshole, Riven. It’s not a good look on you.”

“What if that’s who I am”, he raises his brows. “Then what?”

“Then you’ll be alone”, she answers far too quickly. “And I believe you can be so much more”, she trails off coyly, “even if you are the most annoying man I’ve ever had the displeasure of knowing.”

“You’d still fuck me”, he chuckles and she rolls her eyes.

“You talk about fucking a little too much for a guy that supposedly hates me”, she remarks and he smirks.

“I don’t have to like you to think you’re hot.”

“It’s a good thing I do have to like you to ever consider you as anything but a tool.”

Snorting, he nods. “Oh, I’ve got a tool for you.”

Grimacing, she shivers. “That’s a nasty image to put in my mind so close to bed time. I’ll have nightmares.”

“As long as I’m the star of them, I’m sure you won’t mind.”

“Ugh”, she flips him off. “Get that nose fixed before your reputation takes a worse hit than your ego.”

“Sweet dreams”, he shouts, snickering right after.

And despite his initial anger about his broken nose, Riven found himself a purpose thanks to the injury; the purpose that would throw Y/N off that high horse he always wanted to tear her down from. 

Riven will seduce Y/N, make her fall madly in love with him and once he has her eating out of the palm of his hand, he’ll reveal his ruse and she will be destroyed. That will teach her to leave him alone. For good.

If only he knew his plan would backfire and he would find his heart in the ashes of his own heartbreak, reminding him exactly why he spent so much time being an asshole around Y/N - for he had always felt deeply for her and those feelings were buried for years. His actions will shake those feelings loose and once they’re out, there is nothing in this world Riven will be able to do to extinguish the fire he’ll be burning with - for her, for them, for the mere possibility of a happy end.
