As many of you are already saying goodbye to 2019 and welcoming in 2020, it’s time for Nikki’s annual love fest, aka: my end of year follow forever.

This year marks a full decade that I’ve been on tumblr (November 2019 was my ten year anniversary!). This year was a rollercoaster, but it brought so many new people into my life that I am SO happy to be bringing with me into the new year. Thank you to everyone who has made my experience on this site something worth sticking around for ♥️

can I start just by saying that I’ve missed you while you’ve been on vacation? But I hope you had the very best time, and I am sure your heart is missing Katie a whole bunch right now, so I am sending you both all the hugs in the world.

Part of your compliment is that you are so easy to miss tbh. It’s been an entire year since I last saw in you person and I miss you every single day. 1.) Heather is incredibly brilliant (we stan a Ravenclaw!) and she’s always making the world a better, brighter place just by being her wonderful self, with both her words and her actions.

2.) There is no one else you want in your corner & support system than Heather. She’s fabulously kind always, but she’s also not afraid to fight for the things and the people she loves and believes in. She is one of the strongest women I know. I am so glad she’s chosen me as someone worth caring about, because I’m blessed beyond words to be protected by her. (god knows my soft-ass heart needs her strength in my life.)

Your compliment? You make everything better. The little things, the big things. Everything.

You make my days better, with your silly texts and your links to things that you know will make me smile. You make my evenings better, with your company while we watch whatever TV show or youtube video we’re sharing that day.

Which brings me to every fandom we’ve ever shared, that has only been exponentially improved by watching the show with you. Screaming about wizards and their dumb kings, or messy teenagers (take your pick), or angsty alien cowboys and the humans who love them, or soft beautiful midwives who are too precious for this world, or dumb boys who have been defining the idea of soulmates for damn near a decade. Every memory I have of those things is just a little brighter because they bring you to mind.

Most importantly: you make ME better. Your love has helped me grow into someone I am proud of. You encourage me to be my very best self, my truest self. You never want me to diminish my heart or feel less than I’m feeling, even if it’s a LOT (and it always is). You just accept me and my insane love, no matter what.
