Bring it on: sun, rocks, roots, weeds, heat, sweat, sore hands, sore wrists, sore back, sore most other muscles, flies, dust, sand, rocks in boots, bugs up nose, ants, frigging MORE ants, dehydration, dirt in teeth and having to sharpen blunted tools everyday… I got sunscreen and a pickaxe!! Last week I had a marathon training setback with a foot injury. I have run very little in the past week. I felt like I was letting my old friend and running partner down.
