Since I talk about I planning to redesign the characters of my own take on Sleeping Beauty from my post, I done digitally drawn and colored over my sketch. I redesign the characters and their clothes in historically accurate look
Few of my followers said my 14 yr old me is genius for this concept
I modeled Joseph Quinn for my prince (bc him as Arthur Havisham from Dickensian looks like my old design) and Elle Fanning for my princess

The Swing (French: L'Escarpolette), also known as The Happy Accidents of the Swing is an 18th-century oil painting by Jean-Honoré Fragonard in the Wallace Collection in London. It is considered to be one of the masterpieces of the Rococo era, and is Fragonard's best known work.

My Fairy Lady: Sophia & Augusta 1790's mini set
Sophia & Augusta, a mid-1790s dress, hair, and ribbon (hat) overlay for your sims in celebration of me reaching 500 Tumblr followers last week, which is very shocking considering I had around 110 in the middle of January, so thank you :)
There are scarcely any 1790s items in the sims, especially mid to late, so here you go! I also think I'm the first person to make a 1790s hair.
I used mesh pieces from @the-melancholy-maiden @buzzardly28 @javitrulovesims @cringeborg and @vintagesimstress to make all of this.
Augusta 1790s Dress works from about 1794-1799.
Sophia 1790s hair works from about 1791-1798 (and is 14k poly, sorry). Hair isn't really that compatible with other hats aside from this ribbon overlay.
BGC, hair has all natural swatches, ribbon overlay, and dress both have 30 swatches. Everything is found towards the bottom due to my display index (you should see my thumbnail)
With the dress, all the patterns are historically accurate for the time and most are striped as stripes were very popular for the latter half of the 18th century.
Here are some different angles of everything
Now, here are some actual 1790s portraits and fashion plates

Right in the middle of the 18th century, we have this absolutely frothy pink gown that screams springtime. Yellow bows? Sign me up!
If there is a timeless shape, I'm willing to bet it's this one. Though this doesn't have quite the volume of some of the dresses in this period, it still endures again in the 1830s and 1840s, the 1870s and 1880s, and then again in the 1950s. A fitted bodice, a 3/4 sleeve, and a flared skirt. Plus that gorgeous scoop neck.
This robe à la française was owned by Mrs. Maria Altenburg of Denmark. It then had some adventures of its own, showing up later in Victorian Era costume parties! So it's likely it's had alterations. Most dresses of this era have.
I love the floral spill and the ribbon details! Really marvelous on every level. I am obsessed.
