2020 / Cine desde la pandemia: Long Shot

No le faltan risas a esta comedia de trazos gruesos de Jonathan Levine, y sorprendentemente no todas vienen de las bufonadas de Seth Rogen, sino también de la versátil Charlize Theron.

Por lo demás, el cuento de hadas en el que se ven envueltos estos dos tiene toda la miel de la comedia romántica-cliché, y además es un fiasco como sátira política.

Pero bueno, qué diablos, un momento de solaz es siempre bienvenido, y este par sabe granjearse nuestra (poca o mucha, eso cada quien) hilaridad.

It IS possible that some people who are upset AREN’T Sebastian fans and for other valid reasons>> You must be new here because this blog has called it out thousands of times. Why hate the actors and not the producers of the series? All the hate I've seen is towards the actors as if they were responsible. Hollywood has been trying to make this series for years.

Anon 2: It was said from the beginning that the series would be on tape, they never said that they would explore the whole relationship, but only a moment of the relationship. Seth Rogern said it. I, Tonya is about Tonya's life. Pam & Tommy is about the tape heist. That's not giving Tommy Lee a free pass, hater anon.

Anon 3: I have been a Pam A fan for decades, and I know all these foaming at the mouth people know little about her marriage with TL. Despite their lows, they loved each other so much they married twice & almost a third time. TL can be a violent dick but they mostly broke up because they are both insanely impulsive people and he was jealous that she put their kids over him. They have a mostly amicable relationship now, and she still calls Tommy the love of her life. Look it up.

Night in the Museum - Ryan Gander Curates Arts Council Collection.

We had been asked to visit the Birmingham Museum and Art Gallery today to look at Ryan Ganders new curated collection which we had no information on so far. So our group walked in with an open mind, i found it really interesting looking around at all the different piece of work, there was a vast and broad collection. There was a few pieces that i’d noticed from Rogern Hiorns exhibition at the Ikon gallery. Which was two turquoise car motor, i recognised a few other sculptural pieces. But struggled to see the connection between all of the pieces.

We were asked to create a Whatsapp group that had all of our collaborative group in and to try and create a running narrative whilst exploring the exhibition. Linking it into our work and back through the film and the exhibition again. I feel that this went quite well and we were all relatively creatively considering the situation and not really being sure of what was going on.

This really helped us communicate as a group in a interesting way, and i think helped us to stop looking at narratives so clearly and in such a linnear sense. I really enjoyed this process aswell as exploring the exhibit with our group, looking at opinions and creative interpretations as a whole.
