Maybe Claude and Diana couldn't be your parents, but Adam and Eve were perfect parents for you. Because the hearts broken by your parents do not heal, but you get better every day.

Fun fact, Eve is taller than Adam and strong enough to carry you on her back a lot.

Adem is the kind of father you can do make-up with and gossip with. Cain and Abel are often the targets of your evil plans, and then you trick them into not telling Eve.

So Brunhilde was considering Adam to be one of her champions but she had to think. While he was powerful there were others from his time that have unique gifts like him. And there is one whose ability puts them just ahead for what she has in mind. A skill given to him as a punishment for being the first to kill another human. Cain was cursed with experiencing the deaths of all those murdered and to know the techniques of all killers. And that knowledge is what will be the defining factor in his fight.

So how does the fight go against Zeus and what is his Volundr?

-Adam was glaring hard, standing in the stands next to Eve who was trying to hold her tears in, worried for her son.

-When Brunnhilde was gathering fighters for humanity to battle against the gods in Ragnarok, she originally approached Adam to fight, but then changed her mind, claiming Cain would be better.

-Adam had faith in his son to fight, being a strong warrior, but no child would ever want to see their child fighting in a fight that could very easily cost him his life; Adam watched what happened to Lu Bu and his army, he didn’t want to lose his son in a similar manner.

-Abel was also worried, scared for his brother, trying to be strong for their mother, but Adam could see the unshed tears in his younger son’s eyes.

-Cain was a unique opponent to face off against, despite not being a warrior himself, as he was blessed, or cursed, debating on who was looking at it.

-Being the first human to kill another is a title that he didn’t want, but it was one that he earned with his jealousy and his anger, and with it came to knowledge of others who killed.

-Every person who killed another, Cain gained their knowledge, how they did it, seeing how they killed someone else, and with it, came unending madness- seeing so much death, so much suffering and his mental health suffered for thousands of years, even after he died so long ago.

-In Valhalla, Cain kept a level head, not wanting to ever cause another harm, never wanting to kill again, he devoted his time in the afterlife in helping others, anything he could in hopes that his curse would finally leave him.

-Cain learned of a possible chance, an act of mercy, if he was to win his match against Zeus of all gods, then they would relieve him of his curse, but at the cost of him having to kill one more person.

-Cain, much like his parents, disliked the gods for their cruelty to both Adam and Eve, especially Zeus, but he was hesitant to take another life.

-It was Adam who spoke to his son, one-on-one, after Brunnhilde asked Cain to fight, who told his son that sometimes one would have to do things they wouldn’t like, but to protect others, to protect humanity, sometimes sacrifices had to be made.

-Cain was nervous walking out, but a glare in his eyes, seeing Zeus acting so cocky, “Oh-ho! The son of the first and the first to kill another human!” Cain swallowed his fear, using his Volundr, making just a simple sword, and got into striking position.

-Many were jeering at Cain, calling him a fool for fighting, as he was a farmer, not a shepherd, and anyone in Valhalla knew him as a kind and gentle person, the farthest thing from a fighter.

-Cain inhaled deeply before he began going over his knowledge of how to kill another with a bladed weapon, including moves to hit in blind spots and where to strike first.

-Jaws were soon dropped all over the stadium, including his family as he had easily taken out Zeus, taking out his Achilles tendons first, making it impossible to move without collapsing.

-Cain clenched his teeth tightly together, easily getting behind Zeus before slitting his throat, ending him quickly.

-Everyone was stunned, seeing Zeus bleeding out and fading away while Cain dropped his weapon, looking sick to his stomach, collapsing to his own knees and vomited violently, tears overflowing as he clutched at his head, in complete anguish over what he did.

-Cain grabbed his weapon, still in the form of the short sword and went to stab himself, holding it out, aiming for his neck, before his partner, Reginleif took back her form while Eve screamed out her son’s name.

-Cain broke down in harsh sobs, allowing Reginleif to hug him, “I don’t want this pain anymore! I just want peace!” Adam, Eve, and Abel all ran to the stadium as well, along with Brunnhilde, as the crowds murmured quietly, seeing the anguish Cain was in, seeing what killing another had done to him.

-Some wanted to call him weak and pathetic, but there was something in his tears, his pain, that kept them silent as he cried into his father’s arms, “I don’t want to do this anymore!”

-Adam felt his own tears welling, he wanted nothing more than to take his son’s pain away from him, he wanted to help him, Adam felt so helpless at the moment.

-Despite winning the second round of Ragnarok, humanity didn’t feel like they won anything, realizing what Cain has had to deal with, seeing the murders of others since his own crime, being forced to live the pain and suffering of others.

-The gods felt similarly, seeing a child, in their eyes, suffering so much. Had they done more, had they been the gods they claim to be, would there be less pain and suffering? Would there be less murder and death? Could they have done more?

alskdfad like!!! this is absolute fanon by an utterly biased Catholic, but my thesis statement: this new, other, fictional Adam was created by and made in the image of God (the undepicted one who would never force humankind to fight deities out of his own pettiness, who lets Adam and Lü Bu into Heaven after everything they've been through someone stop me I'm creating spiritual metaphysics of RoR), and Adam - unlike Christianity's Adam - has never strayed from that image.

No god in RoR claims to have created Adam--honestly, I thought Zeus would and there'd be a whole father vs child thing, but no--which to me further cements that Someone Else did. The gods are all taken by surprise by his Divine Reflection. Cain and Abel, both rowdy and perhaps a little antagonistic towards each other, still seem to be loving brothers.

Most tellingly, Adam is motivated by love. He doesn't care about sticking it to the gods. He also has zero hesitation spitting on them in the face when it comes to protecting his loved ones. An un-fallen Adam, made in the image of God, would do these things. He would break the rules not out of selfishness and fear, but because someone made his wife cry, because one of his kids was scared. Does any man need an excuse to protect his children?

To me, all of this lines up for RoR's Adam to not be our Adam (in contrast of it being the "true story"--I actually think RoR's Christianity, if it has one, must have a different history/mythology, one where original sin must've crept in by some other means). And that's just!!! So interesting to me!!!

Caidrith: 6'1 because tall dragon man 💕 He gets all his height from his mother.

Desily: 5'0, she is a fae after all. Fae come in different shapes and sizes, but pixies are typically short

Finch: 5'7, on the shorter side for someone with elf blood

Cere: 5'8 most of the time. She can change her height at will since she doesn't have a set form

Rycharde: 5'11 not including ears. Abnormally tall for catfolk, actually. Might have something to do with his homeland...

Merrick: 5'4 little merperson. Merfolk heights are dependent on what kind (?) they are. Merrick, being an anglerfish, is kind of small compared to, say, a shark, or swordfish.

Can any of my FGO-playing Followers help me brainstorm a fan Servant for fun?

The Record of Ragnarok manga got me wondering about a more “accurate” version of Adam (First Man, Grand Father of Humanity) as a super-human being.

Here’s my thoughts, and I’d like to hear yours.

Suffer the Children

As with RoR’s Adam, this Adam prioritizes his children (all of humanity) above all else, and would gladly fight any beast, demon, or god to the death to defend them, to the point of striking harder against targets bearing the “Threat to Humanity” quality, and having some ability to protect his descendants when fighting alongside them.

But his love for his children is a big reason why Adam hasn’t appeared before, especially in Grail Wars or Lost Belts. Just as Adam did not kill his son Cain after Cain murdered Abel, Adam cannot bring himself to fight any of his descendants, much less to side with one faction and condemn another, or even just to stand back and watch them fight each other as a Ruler. So, if Adam is even physically capable of attacking humans, he would at least suffer a damage penalty when striking at them.

For this purpose, I would furthermore introduce a new quality called “Child of Man”, which applies equally to fully-human characters, demi-gods, and even beings artificially created by humanity such as Frankenstein’s Monster and Voyager. (Divine spirits merely borrowing shapes from humans, like Ishtar, are probably exempt from Adam’s mercy.)

Grand Father

But by the same token, Adam radiates an authority over all of his descendants, such that even demi-gods like Gilgamesh face some kind of damage penalty when attacking him.

When summoned as an Assassin, Adam gains a Skill that supersedes Presence Concealment like Jack the Ripper's Information Erasure does, though Adam's Class Skill combines his authority to demand humans not see him together with his perfectly medium appearance to transition from "beautifully ideal" to "unremarkably average". The higher someone's Divinity, the less this skill affects them.

When summoned as a Ruler, Adam’s rank in True Name Discernment, when used against other humans, is second only to Eve’s.

One Treasure: God-Given Tunic — Garment of First Sacrifice

“The price of sin is death.” When the first humans broke the law, God made the first animal sacrifice on their behalf to buy their pardon, and from the animal’s hide God fashioned tunics to signify their cleansing, cover their nakedness, and protect their flesh from violence.

Adam and Eve wore these tunics until the day they died, relying upon their divine protection as they fought demons and beasts to keep their children safe, until humanity had grown too numerous for anyone but God to protect or destroy.

Later worn by Nimrod and Esau. Wearing the clothes gave Nimrod great success as a hunter and warrior, but it could not protect him from a prophecy that he would killed by a child of Abraham.

This defensive Noble Phantasm is inferior to Avalon, particularly in that it does not extend life-span, but it ought to be comparable to Herakles' Nemean Lion Hide.

Where the Nemean Lion Hide protected one from all man-made weapons, the Garments of First Sacrifice need only protect against all beasts and monsters and demons, but not from other humans or divine beings. With no protection from other humans, Nimrod had no special protection from Esau.

Adam and Eve first explored human capabilities and passed their knowledge down to their children and descendants. Therefore, they possess all knowledge and skills discovered by humanity, similar to how Gilgamesh possesses a prototype of every device made by humanity.

No version of Adam or Eve can access humanity’s manufactured treasures in the same way, because they did not horde the products of their own hands or those of their children. They kept their God-given tunics to themselves, but everything they personally made, they gave away freely to their children so their children could defend and enrich themselves.

Nevertheless, Adam has the authority to use any physical Noble Phantasm made by human hands, even those whose skills equaled that of the gods. But Divine weapons made by Emiya Shirou's Reality Marble would not become exceptions to this rule.

Adam best expresses his craftsmanship when summoned as a Caster.

Unified Language

I don’t fully know what the Unified Language can do, but that one antagonist in Kara no Kyoukai would pale in comparison to the man who spoke that language first. Whatever these abilities, Adam would express them most strongly as a Caster or as a Ruler (especially together with a Ruler’s ability to discern true names), though Eve would be more adept.

Namer of Beasts

Whether by actual history or mere legend, Adam possesses special authority over beasts as the man who first named them all. Whatever form this authority takes (such as resistance to their attacks or bonus damage against them), he expresses it most strongly as a Ruler or Rider, and it supersedes the Riding Skill. 

The effect is weaker against phantasmal or demi-god beasts.

Eve did not name the beasts herself, but she was born directly from Adam’s flesh, and so shares equally in his authority over the beasts.

"Earth"

Here’s where I take a stab at cosmological mechanics I don’t really understand.

Adam’s birth ushered in the emergence of the human-derived World Texture, along with Alaya and the Counter Force. When Adam sinned, all of these things became destined to die, and be reborn.

“Adam” doesn’t just mean “Human” and “Humankind”, but also “Earth”, for the flesh of the first humans’ bodies was made from the earth. The first humans’ collective sin cursed both them and the Earth (the human world) to death, with their deaths returning their bodies to the earth (Gaia) from which they were made, and with a prophecy of the Earth itself dying after humanity’s bodies are resurrected from its soil.

Adam’s personal sin further estranged him from the Earth (Gaia), turning it into his adversary. For the rest of his life, instead of freely providing him food, the soil would produce thorns and thistles against him, and he would need to struggle to cultivate food from it. The struggle between the earth and humanity began, with the birth of the “world texture of humanity”. God blessed and commanded Man to assert dominion over the earth.

I have a few articles surrounding “Raised On Radio” in my notes. This one is from last year surrounding the firing of Steve Smith and Ross Valory when they were fired for the second time. It takes a look back to “RoR” were Steve Perry answers if he regrets firing and replacing them, why he did that and the direction “RoR” went in.

“Flashback: Journey Fire Bassist Ross Valory, Drummer Steve Smith in 1985

Journey let go of their drummer and bassist this week, the same two guys they fired during the ‘Raised on Radio’ sessions 35 years ago

Journey fired drummer Steve Smith and bassist Ross Valory earlier this week after alleging they attempted an elaborate boardroom coup to seize control of the group’s finances. The news was shocking to fans of the arena-rock band, but to Smith and Valory it must have felt like a horrible case of déjà vu. That’s because they were also fired in tandem back in 1985 when the group began work on Raised on Radio and replaced by future American Idol judge Randy Jackson and a series of studio drummers.

The ’85 move came at the direction of Steve Perry. When we spoke to him in 2018, we asked if he had any regrets about it. “I don’t know if I regret it,” he said. “We tried to record that record at the Record Plant in Sausalito and spent quite a bit of time doing that. While I was doing my Street Talk record, Jon [Cain] and Neal [Schon] had gotten together and started sketching some ideas. The ideas they came up with were more R&B-based. Now, I don’t know why they were, but they certainly had more pocket to them.”

“Jon Cain had just gotten a drum machine and built a studio in his house,” he continued. “Raised on Radio had a tendency to be a little bit more R&B than anything we’d ever done before. … Everybody was going through changes at that time, a lot of changes. We brought in Randy Jackson on bass after trying for a couple months to cut the tracks. We cut a lot with Randy Jackson and Larrie Londin and Jon and myself and Neal. We basically recut the record in ten days.”

When all was said and done, Steve Smith’s drum parts remained on just three songs (“Positive Touch,” “The Eyes of a Woman,” and “Why Can’t This Night Go On Forever”) and Valory’s work was nowhere to be found. And when they hit the road to support it, Jackson and drummer Mike Baird took their places. (Here’s the video for the Raised on Radio leadoff single “Be Good to Yourself.”)

“That was very painful and I took it pretty hard,” Smith said in the Journey Behind the Music special. “I really pride myself in my musicianship. That was very difficult for me to deal with.”

It probably became a little easier to swallow when Journey dissolved at the end of the Raised on Radio tour in 1986. When they re-formed in 1996 to record Trial by Fire, both Smith and Valory were welcomed back into the fold. Smith, however, balked when the group wanted to hit the road in 1998 with Steve Perry soundalike Steve Augeri. He was replaced by Deen Castronovo, but Smith returned in 2015 when Castronovo was sidelined by personal and legal issues.

Smith’s return meant that four fifths of the classic Eighties Journey lineup was intact until this week when Smith and Valory were fired for a second time. They’re now down to just two fifths. A long co-headlining tour with the Pretenders begins May 15th and the band has pledged to have a new drummer and bassist by that point. The obvious choice is to bring back Castronovo, but he has commitments with the Dead Daisies that he may be unable to get out of. It’s less clear who might come in on bass, but Neal Schon worked with Marco Mendoza in his recent Journey spinoff group Journey Through Time and he seems like a possible candidate. It’s interesting to note that the alliances in Journey seem to always be shifting. Schon and Cain had a nasty feud a few years ago, but now they are firmly united against Smith and Valory. Maybe the drummer and bassist can respond by starting their own version of Journey, but without the name rights it would be tough to sell tickets. That would change if they could recruit Steve Perry, but that’s an extreme long shot since he wasn’t even interested in touring to support his 2018 comeback record Traces. Whatever happens, Smith and Valory can at least go down in rock history as the only rhythm section to be fired as a unit at two separate points in history.”

I was thinking of asking Scp-076 (Abel) and Scp-073 (Cain). TheRubber YouTube channel does some fun and colorful roundups of these Scp.

Being that how brothers are typically portrayed is very contrary in this universe, Cain is calm but depressed by his actions towards his brother, and Abel is very compulsive and wild, sometimes going into a berserker mode where no one can. take out. Almost nothing is known about the information about their parents (Adan and Eve), but according to the community and a few extra things, it is known that brothers loved their parents with every fiber of their bodies.

What would a scenario be like with Adam and Eve from RoR seeing these versions of their children arrive in Valhalla due to some portal error? (I must clarify both brothers will not die until the sun explodes. Given that Abel resurrects over and over again inside his special box and Cain cannot be touched by any attack since it will return or affect the attacker, but Cain still feels the pain )

(I don't know whether to add to the y/n adopted by the gods and humans, as a romantic partner or romantic interest of these two SCPs. Or just an object of dynamics between the brothers who have recently arrived in Valhalla)
