Bonds Of Blood.
(Poly!Lost Boys x Female!Mate!Reader)
for the lovely @pixielostboy, hope you enjoy! All credit for the gif goes to the owner.
TW: blood, descriptions of violence, nudity, descriptions of nudity.
Tumblr media
The body dropped almost ceremoniously, blood bleeding into the sand.
Harsh breaths passed your lips, along with blood dripping from your barred teeth. The surfer lay beneath you, gurgling and looking up to you with frightened eyes.
Poor, stupid boy.
They were always so easy to catch. Soon, you were met with odd silence, the body beneath having stopped twitching. You sighed, cursing the mess upon your clothes and sand. Discarding the body was easy, the waves swallowed him whole, until all you saw was splashing water and darkness. The blood would remain a mystery, stumbled upon by some unfortunate tourist or local. Soon, you rejoined the boardwalk above, adorning new clothes and a clean facade. Unbeknownst to you, eyes followed as you walked toward your surfer friends, Gregory himself being a little too happy to see you.
Marko watched the surfer embrace you, hands tentative in their pursuit. The blonde was sure that he was being discreet in his observation, only to be met with your (e/c) eyes and smirk laden face. You gave the boy a wink, before following the others. You left Marko with a reeling mind, possibly hundreds of questions circling. The vampire was never one to believe in mates, seeing them as more so an old wives tale rather than anything legitimate.
Max liked to go on and on about them, how they were someone promised only to you and that once you obtain your mate, life would be complete. Perhaps his sire was onto something, because as soon as your eyes met his, Marko was entranced. He found himself needing to see you again.
The night continued with Marko meeting up with the others, choosing to keep his little encounter to himself.
If it was real, the others would feel it too. Maybe it was Marko's own fascination, masked in the tale of his early years. Either way, Marko had no qualms with it. The idea that someone new might join them was an exciting one, after all.
The group reconvened at the entrance of the beach, where Paul was overheard trying to convince Dwayne of the idea that Big Ed was all jelly and no bones or blood at all. "It just makes sense, man. Have you seen the guy?" Paul pleaded, making Marko wonder why he never defended himself the way he defended his ludacris ideas. David and Dwayne chuckled, Dwayne turning to Paul.
"Then explain how Big Ed is alive then, dude."
"It's simple, he-."
"Look at what the cat dragged in." David interrupted, right as Marko walked up. The curly headed boy bid a greeting, comically flipping David off. "And just where the hell have you been?" David asked. Markl shrugged, smirking. "I've been around. What's this I hear about Big Ed?"
Dwayne and David groaned in tandem as Paul renewed his rant, Marko stifling a laugh. Paul soon concluded, much to the relief of literally everyone. David leaned against the handlebars of his bike, dismounting it. "Jesus, what's a guy gotta do to have some fun around here?" David expressed, looking around at all the people that passed by.
Hunger was the least of his worries right now, having lost the spot against David's seemingly unending boredom.
Just then, he heard this gravely, grading voice cut through the crowd.
Gregory and his goons cut through the crowd, each yelling more than the next. David and the others had to fight the urge to roll their eyes. David remembered the guy, way back to when he was a dumb kid and now a possibly dumber teen. You walked among them, Sherry on your arm and another surfer to your left. Seeing you, it felt like a slap to the face to David. His heart picked up in pace and his eyes were shrouded in the black of his iris. The others seemed to notice as well, as Paul and Marko stopped their meaningless activities and Dwayne perked up to attention. The blonde vampire stayed silent, watching you.
“(Y/n), you really have to lighten up.’’
“How so, Sherry baby?’’
“For starters…’’ the girl said, taking a drink from Gregory and holding it out to you. The smell alone was enough to make you hurl, but you contained yourself, declining politely. “Oh come on, just one.’’ Sherry insisted, wiggling the can in front of you. “Don’t be such a killjoy-!” Sherry tried to push, yet was swiftly interrupted by the sound of your voice. “Sherry, if I wanted a shitty drink, I’d ask your boyfriend.’’ You said. The blonde girl was clearly gobsmacked, as she stared at you for a good minute. You could say that she wasn’t used to you speaking like this. That was both an annoyance and a success, considering that none of them had figured you out yet. “Well, this was a nice chat and all but I'm starving.’’ You said, craning your head to look at the group of the boys. “Oh Marty!’’ You called.
A dark haired boy peaked his head through the crowd, a shit eating grin on his face. Marty was the one to introduce you to the surfers, having met you when you first got here. He also had a nasty reputation for being absolutely oblivious to the word “no.” so your next course of action really enticed no regret within you. Marty took his sweet time coming over to you, making your gaze advert from him and toward a rather attentive group of bikers. They were staring you down like hawks, some making it more obvious than others. The curly headed boy you saw before was among them. ‘So this is the crew he runs with.’ You thought, right as Marty decided to invade your personal space. He hugged just a tad too tightly, hands resting just the wrong among the low on your back. “Those fuckers bugging you, babe?’’ Marty asked.
You smiled, shaking your head. “Ignore them, baby…you know you’re all that I want.’’ You smiled, voice taking on that sultry quality. “If you say so.’’ Marty smirked, placing his grimy hands on your waist, leaning into your ear. "What do you say we blow this joint…? Go have some real fun…" he said, voice practically oozing with how suggestive he was being.
Free food and less work? The chance was too good to pass up.
You placed a playful kiss along Marty's jaw. “I thought you’d never ask.’’ You said and now David was watching you walk away with that surfer fuck. What the hell was a girl like you, doing with a bunch of lowlifes like the Surf Nazis? It has to be for notoriety, David concluded, because there was absolutely no way that someone like you would willingly hang out with them. If the reputation was what you were after, David could do you one better any day. His boys were known, they were feared.
“Did we all feel that or was it just me?’’ Paul suddenly spoke up. Dwayne nodded his head in silent confirmation, while David wore a satisfied grin on his face. “I saw her before I met up with you guys.’’ Marko admitted. “And you kept this from us, why?’’ David inquired, more so curious than anything else. Marko offered up a small shrug of his shoulders, “Just wanted to make sure it wasn't just me, I guess.’’
“Well, Marko I think you might have found us a mate.’’
Paul hollered out in excitement, while Marko and Dwayne shared a high five. David turned his attention back to the beach. Regardless of his own hatred of his sire, David was a devout listener to his mate stories. How even monsters like David could have someone out there, just waiting to meet and stay with him forever. David would be remiss if he forgot the nights he dreamt, the night he prayed for it to be true. The blonde was the opposite of religious, yet the sheer possibility of you was nothing short of holy. It brought some hope to David and even if the boys didn't talk about it among themselves, David knew that it meant the same for them. “What are we gonna do?’’ Dwayne piped up, pulling David out of his self induced trance. David’s stare was unmoving from the beach.
“I think it’s high time we went under the boardwalk, boys. It’s been a hell of a while.’’
“Hey, maybe we should turn back-’’
“Come on Marty, you aren't gonna chicken out on me are you?’’
Marty pulled his hand away from yours, his pride clearly wounded. You let out a little giggle. Men had such an odd relationship with their pride. Threaten that even slightly and they’re willing to throw themselves off a cliff to prove you wrong. They made themselves such easy prey, it was almost laughable. Against all the possible pros they could bring, women would never become your target. You had witnessed too much to do such a thing. They deserved whatever peace they could have. “I ain’t no chicken.’’ Marty said adamantly,
“Good, now we can have some real fun.’’ You said, reaching behind your back and quickie undoing your bikini top. The material dropped to the sand and Marty was quite quick in his pursuit of you. A strange sense of deja vu enveloped you, as Marty took to laying slobbery kisses on your chest. He took a hold of one of your breasts, before you gently pried him off. “Let me do something for you this time.’’ You said, smiling slightly at the way his heart picked up and his skin became hot. The boy probably thought something opposite to having teeth penetrate his neck, but as he flailed and screamed, Marty couldn’t really give an answer.
You watched for a while, the show before you never really got old.
Marty ran around, calling you every obscenity in the book before you got a hold of him. You ripped out a good piece of his neck, basking in the blood that followed. Marty’s scream died down from the blood filling his mouth and you were sure you heard bones crack from how hard you were holding onto him. Soon, the thrashing stopped and you were left with another body, alone. Only, that alone part wasn’t entirely true. A series of claps echoed through the night, you throwing your head back to see who was there. Eyes of yellow, of amber greeted you, each softer or tougher than the others.
Vampires.
You rose slowly, your hands going up. There was a sort of unspoken pact between most vampires, a pact that stated that territory should not be breached. The circumstance of hunger allowed leniency, under pretenses that the lone hunter shall abandon the stead. Yet, you found yourself wondering why your heart was beating so quickly. Your skin was graced with sweat, your eyes glowing more than usual. Your mind had an explanation, one that you weren’t eager to accept. Mates were just an old wives tale, made to give hope to an otherwise hopeless species.
You feed.
You live a little.
You die.
There was really no inbetween. The four boys approached, bodies illuminated by little specks of light that peaked out from the ceiling. Had you been human, this would have done little to make you see them. Yet you did. The front boy, the leader you presumed, stood taller than you with bleached blonde hair and a startling smirk. The curly headed boy was the only one truly familiar, his face contorted into that tell tale vampire look. Another boy resembled a rockstar, his long blonde hair teased and volumes. It was oddly reminiscent of Dee Snider, a rockstar in the flesh. Last but certainly not least, a brunette took to the background, eyes trained on you like a hawk. “I come in peace?’’ You asked, not really sure what to do or say at that moment.
For as long as you had been alive, such a thing had scarcely happened. A chorus of laughter followed. “I wouldn’t worry about that sweetheart.’’ David said. “We just wanted to see the show, and by the looks of him…’’ David expressed, cocking his head toward the body, “...We missed a hell of a good one.” His words were supposed to mean nothing to you. It was meant to be just lip service, only spoken to fulfill some agenda or wish that they may have. Dwayne was now behind you, surveying the body. He had a smile etched on his face, one that spoke of satisfaction and positive impression. “See, we couldn’t help but notice you on the boardwalk.’’ David spoke. “I gotta ask, what is a girl like you doing with the Surf Nazis?’’
“I miss the part where that’s your business.’’
“She got you there, man!’’ Paul exclaimed, earning a glare from David that only made him laugh harder. “Now that isn’t very nice.” David smirked. They would have rushed you by now, so your hands retreated to your sides. “Do you always follow women under the boardwalk or is it just my lucky day?’’ You inquired, vaguely noticing that Dwayne had moved just a little closer to you. You wondered when the mate bond was going to be brought up, because if you felt it, they must have as well. The boys were not bad looking, quite the opposite actually.
They were beautiful.
Beautiful in that way that only eternity could guarantee. Years of wisdom, masked under boundless youth. You could actually see yourself with them, feeding and living until the sun died and the world ended. The mate bond was a bond of blood.
 Irreversible…unbreakable.
The question stood, would you be able to commit to something like that? You wanted to be loved, you wanted to love. A forgotten dream that you buried a long time ago was to have a family. Against your better judgment, you allowed yourself to dream again. “It isn’t always that they’re our mate.’’ Dwayne rumbled, speaking for the first time that night. His voice was rich, making your skin erupt into goosebumps. “We know you feel it too, babe! The pull…the anticipation…’’ Paul continued, moving around you, akin to a predator circling a prey. “At least buy a girl dinner first.’’ You said, earning a laugh from Paul.
“Oh but where are my manners? The name’s Paul. That over there is Marko.’’ The rocker introduced, as the curly headed boy grinned and waved. “The creep over there is Dwayne.’’ Paul snorted as Dwayne fashionably flipped the bird at him. “David.’’ The leader said, beating Paul to the punch. He extended a hand, completely unfazed by your nakedness and blood caked hands. You cast a tentative glance at his hand, before taking it. As soon as your skin met with his gloved hand, David was sure he had died and ascended to somewhere better. You gasped once David pulled you close, your chest colliding with his. “Wow, we haven't even sealed the deal yet and you’re manhandling me.’’
“Can you blame me?’’
“I mean I am really hot.’’ You laughed, feeling the stress of the situation leave your body. No one was going to die tonight. David grinned from ear to ear, a silence passing between the both of you. Dwayne was sure that you were better than their wildest dreams. He watched from the sidelines as you and David shared a kiss, knowing that they would all have a lot of time to show their own affection. The spark reverberated between everyone, making even Marko audibly gasp. Once you pulled away, David had a starry look on his face. “I think that we are going to get along just fine.’’ The blond promised, gently placing your hair over your ear.
The night concluded with the boys taking you out, talking and just getting you to have fun. It was the first time in probably decades that you could truthfully admit to having a good time. You watched the boys fool around, the shenanigans alone bringing a smile to your face. Being alone for as many years as you had been, you had forgotten what it was like to genuinely enjoy someone's company. These boys weren’t just someone either. They were the ones that you would spend eternity with.
The ones you would love and be loved by.
And that was a bond to be protected.

No one should be sleeping on a futon that smells like Cheetos and ball sweat.
But here I am, trying to get my life together.
Tristan Stiles is the bane of my existence.
He never wears a shirt.
We can’t seem to stop fighting.
He’s an arrogant playboy with a filthy reputation.
Sure, I had a crush on him when I was fourteen, but that was a long time ago.
I know better than to trust him.
I just need to survive long enough to find a new job and get a new place.
And not accidentally let Tristan rail me into next week.

My Review
5 ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
I loved this! It is full of personality, fun, family and I could feel the want and need between these two main characters.
Rix is a feisty, intelligent, independent woman who stands up for her self. Tristan is a hunky, professional, hockey player with all the moves. But my favorite thing is their bickering banter that leads to the sizzling, electric heat between them creating a passionate connection. They have known each other for years and as their walls come down you will find yourself giggling, swooning and squirming in your seat!
Prepare for thick sexual tension, off the charts chemistry and spicy scenes so hot they may burn your fingers. I had so much fun reading the dynamics between this couple. I was like…yes, yes, yes!
You don’t want to miss this one. Obsessed. That’s how I felt while reading this book. Like every page was better than the previous one. Just try to put this down, I dare you!
This author exquisite ability at storytelling never ceases to deliver something completely addictive and completely mind-blowing!
I received an early copy and this is my honest review.

Note
I can really never know any peace. I go to support the recent Gwynriel art by @rosiesfables, and of course there's an E*riel in the comments. The person is like "don't expect Gwyn and Az to happen, they're a crackship and Elain is the MC of the next book." How hard is it for them to just leave our art alone? It's actually getting annoying at this point.
https://www.instagram.com/p/CWUcW0ZsUHn/?utm_medium=copy_link
It’s apparently really hard for them to stay in their lane, because they know what’s coming and they think shouting the opposite everywhere will somehow make it change. The best thing we can do is ignore their petty behavior and keep posting positive things on artwork🖤

mid-year book freak out tag! - 2021
best book so far
a court of mist and fury by sarah j maas - 5 / 5 stars
need i say more? it was just so good.
best sequel so far
bitterblue by kristin cashore - 5 / 5 stars
i don't think i have talked about the graceling realm series and how much i love it on here but here i am.
i loved every book in this series but bitterblue stood out to me because even though it was incredibly long, it kept me gripped throughout. there was an unsolvable mystery (maybe im dense though) that kept me guessing for hundreds of pages and just a glimmer of romance which i usually miss when its not there but this stood on its own without it.
i thought bitterblue was an extremely strong character and it was a great ending to a companion trilogy (before winterkeep was announced and continued it). also, loved seeing all of the characters come together at the end and seeing katsa and po pop in and out.
new release i haven't read yet but want to
the nature of witches by rachel griffin realm breaker by victoria aveyard
Tumblr media
something about witches and elemental magic just sounds so awesome to me and i am just so drawn to this book.
and i am currently enjoying the red queen series and love a good found family so im hoping to love realm breaker. ive heard mixed things so im gonna lower my expectations a little but still excited.
most anticipated release for the second half of the year
these hollow vows by lexi ryan aurora's end by *** ******** graceling: the graphic novel by kristin cashore six crimson cranes by elizabeth lim the hawthorne legacy by jennifer lynn barnes
Tumblr media
idk why i am so excited about these hollow vows but i am and i think it's just gonna be a (hopefully) exciting fantasy romance. im hoping for two sexy men and a bad BITCHHH of a main character.
ive heard only amazing things about six crimson cranes so i am very very excited! i've been waiting for this book i think since january and its almost finally here!
aurora's end (even though the authors are cancelled) i NEED to finish the series then they will officially never receive my money again. the cliffhanger at the end of aurora burning was so incredibly uncool and so now i have no choice but to see what happens in the finale.
the graceling graphic novel. do i need to explain myself?
and the hawthorne legacy is the next installment in the inheritance games series and i really enjoyed the first book! the mystery and the way patterns were worked into it really had me intrigued and i was itching to know what was happening for the entire book. so excited to see what happens in the next one!
biggest disappointment
the crown of gilded bones by jennifer l armentrout - currently on pause/possible dnf
this book was just so boring but also SO much happened in the first 50 pages that i was honestly incredibly confused? and there was just overwhelming info-dumping about the history of the world and an underdeveloped plot. idk i just couldn't get into it (which was really disappointing bc i loved akofaf). thinking of dnfing...
biggest surprise
crown of midnight by sarah j maas - 4.5 / 5 stars
ok so. i really did not enjoy throne of glass. after reading the acotar series and then jumping into throne of glass, i hated the love triangle, the intrigue wasnt enough to get me engaged until the last third, etc. sooo i was even considering not reading the rest of the series. but of course like the sjm stan that i am, i had to. and this one was so good. i wrote a review on it so if your interested in more in depth thoughts go take a peak!
favorite new author (debut or new to me)
kristin cashore!
the way that she writes political mystery in her world is so good. not a single time did i have a correct guess on what was happening. i also loved how her books had strong woman main characters, but they all had agency in a different way. and how the romance subplots were small but enough to keep the romantic in me satisfied, but also didnt take away from the main heroines story. ugh just so good! love u girly <3
new fictional crush
aaron warner (shatter me series by tahereh mafi)
Tumblr media
ok i know hes kind of like super crazy and kind of creepy obsessed, but also like.... cmon. hes kinda super hot too. and i kind of love the i hate everyone but you trope....
art credit: @jessdraw.s
new favorite character
lara (bridge kingdom series by danielle l jensen)
Tumblr media
her strength, her agency, her ability to unlearn everything she grew up believing, her power. an amazing and complex character.
art credit: @rosiesfables
books that made me cry
a court of wings and ruin by sarah j maas
if you've read this book u understand why. there was a happy ending for our two main characters at the end but the war that ensued at the end of this book was just fucking heart wrenching and so beautiful at parts i will never forget everything that happened.
books that made me happy
heartstopper vol. 1 by alice oseman
i feel like this series is great for young readers (12-17). it teaches about friendship, sexuality, mental health, asking for help, how to offer help, etc. and tons of really diverse representation throughout. i wish this existed when i was younger.
it made me happy to think about young people reading this series and feeling seen and validated. and about how openly alice oseman illustrates difficult topics and how to deal with them. just made my heart swell.
most beautiful book bought/gifted so far
the ones we're meant to find by joan he
Tumblr media
i mean... its gorgeous!!
books i need to read by the end of the year
crescent city by sarah j maas
again as a stan i need to finish this before the end of the year bc i have only heard good things and the second book comes out jan 2022.
favorite book to movie adaptation so far
moxie, shadow and bone, brigerton lol (and very excited about along for the ride!!)
Tumblr media
2021 reading stats so far...
45 books read
35,000 pages read
11 ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ reads
4.13 average rating
thanks so much for reading my mid-year update! happy reading! : )

How the reader would deal with the boy's toxic traits:
@henhouse-horrors really hope you enjoy, all credits for the gif go to the creators. @bonniebirddoesgifs
TW: toxic traits and lack of knowledge on how to deal with them (from the boys end), gaslighting, avoidance, use of toxic language and if you're a person who has gone through this, for you own sake, do not read.
David:
Tumblr media
His toxic trait if definitely gas-lighting
I believe this stems from the fact that David isn’t used to having his ideas, wishes and leadership disputed
In some way, shape or form, David will see this as a threat to his legitimacy as the group leader, you could say
You as the significant other would be on the receiving end of these tactics
“You’re acting crazy.”
“I never said that.’’
“I'm sorry you feel that way.’’
These are phrases that you hear more often than not
In my mind, David isn't a bad person
This isn't to excuse this type of behavior at all, it's just that Max is responsible for David and his boys and their lack of knowledge on how to deal with their emotions
You would first go talk to other people, preferably someone who isn’t bias toward David
This helps you validate your own feelings and not allow David’s behavior to get to you
You will talk to David and discuss that the guilt tripping and the way he deals with the issue isn't alright
He might listen but it will take some time to shake the habit completely
Dwayne:
Tumblr media
His trait is definitely the silent treatment
Dwayne is a quiet guy, so in hindsight, you might not even interpret this as harmful
But you notice that he refuses to speak to you after you’ve had a fight
If Dwayne feels like he isn’t in the wrong at all, he will stretch out the silent treatment for a long, long time
It doesn’t even matter if you were right, if Dwayne feels like he’s right, he’ll do it
“Babe, please talk to me!’’
“You always do this!’’
You would go to the others for help, David more so than Paul or Marko
David knows Dwayne on a deep level, might have even been on the receiving end of this tendency at some point in time
David would instruct persistence and that sooner or later, Dwayne would break
You would demand that Dwayne talk things out with you
You would make him see how his behavior makes you feel, which might even be a little toxic from you, especially if you decide to give him a taste of his own medicine
Dwayne is the best out of the boys out of apologizing
It’s easier to get him to see the error of his ways and you do get a sincere apology
Paul:
Tumblr media
Paul invalidates you alot
This can come in many forms
One of which might even be lovebombing
You can’t really express any negative feelings about yourself or the life that you lead, lest you want Paul to go on and on about how blessed you actually are
This can lead to you feeling unheard, or unsupported in things you want to improve
“Man, I wish i was-”
“You’re beautiful, babe! You don’t need to change!’’
“I wish i was-’’
“You’re good as is!’’
This might be great, when you’re talking about things that you shouldn’t actually change but when it’s about something that can actually help you, this behavior becomes a problem
You would bite back a lot on his comments, doubling down on Paul on his behavior
I think it would take a few tries before he actually understands what is wrong with his behavior
He isn't mean about it though
Marko:
Tumblr media
Marko is probably the only one with the potential to get violent
His temper is legendarily bad and he is shit at apologizing about his actions
hell , sometimes he even doesn’t apologize at all
A remarkable instance would be when he grabs your arm trying to drag you way, leading to marks on your arm
“Marko, you’re hurting me.’’
He does feel guilty but again can’t bring himself to apologize
He has this bogus idea that you’ll see him as less than a man if he does
How you would handle this, largely depends on the scale of his deed
If he was just yelling at you, you have no problem yelling back and no letting yourself be pushed down
If he grabs you or hurts you in anyway physically, you have no choice but to get one of the others involved
Dwayne is your go to
He advises you keep a bit of distance from Marko for a while, until he can deal with it
Once the situation has calmed down, Dwayne will bring you together
Marko will apologize, after a lot of grumbling and mumbling
Dwayne swears to be by your side if it ever happens again and once you're alone, Marko swears to try and not do it again
Michael:
Tumblr media
His traits come from his fathers abandonment
Michael gets jealous and runs away from his problems
His jealousy has led to one or more fights on the boardwalk
And it isn't just with the Surf Nazis, its even with your group of friends
He needs a lot of reassurance that you wont leave and even that can sometimes be suffocating
Would make snide comments about what you chose to wear at the boardwalk
“You’re really gonna wear that?”
“What’s wrong with it?’’
“I can literally see all of you.’’
You would talk to his mother about his behavior and i believe that Lucy would try to help you as best as she could
She knows what it’s like to experience such things, especially if you take into account the man that she married
Lucy would make Michael come speak to you and you would express how his comments make you feel and that if he wasn’t going to change, then perhaps you were better off going your separate ways
Michael would apologize and despite the difficulty of his own insecurities coming to the surface, you would notice a severe change in the boy
Michael does change and that makes you happy, as it makes him enjoy life more too

Cuddles and Confessions.
(Two-Bit Matthews x GN!Reader x Sodapop Curtis)

The wind was cold against your skin, the night air carrying that sudden chill that made the ends of your hair stand up. While summer was in full swing, the wind was chilly. You couldn't wait to go home, where the warmth and hopefully hot food would be waiting for you.
Tulsa got so crowded this time of the year. The Socs had been getting bolder, Dally and the others getting into more and more rumbles than usual. Things were different when there was no snow to keep you inside and no ice to keep you off your feet.
The Socs had enough money to entertain themselves elsewhere, but you were convinced that they took pleasure in picking on you Southside kids.
And picking on you was just putting it lightly.
You reached the Curtis residence, walking swiftly up the stairs and knocking on the door. Waiting for a moment, you were soon greeted with the grinning face of Sodapop Curtis.
Just one glance at that angel face and you felt all your worries wash away. His hair was styled as usual, with one little strand escaping on his forehead. You fought the urge to reach and fix it, knowing that the boy was unaware of your own feelings. "Look at what the cat dragged in. Two-Bit, we got company!"
"Wake the whole house, why don't you?"
"Eh, no worries. Darry took Pony to a game down at the stadium. Work paid him well." Soda grinned, before you were bum rushed by a slightly drunk Two Bit. "Boy am I glad to see you, thought my cuddle buddy wasn't making it tonight!"
"And miss the fiftieth time you made me watch Mickey Mouse? No way." You countered, earning a laugh from the boy. Soda welcomed you inside, before heading back to the kitchen. The house was quieter, strangely enough. Pony wasn't one to talk much but Darry and Soda had always been a talkative presence in the house.
You and Two Bit stayed in the living room, nestled on the couch. Time passed as Soda was preparing food, you and Two Bit moving closer and closer until you were so close, it was practically a cuddle.
You would admit to the fact that you were very physically affectionate.
It only really mattered to you when it was reciprocated to you that way, and it was your way of showing it to the boys you loved. A silent sort of confession, if you will. It was the only way you could express how much you loved them, without actually having to say anything.
"I don't understand why you like this mouse so much." You said, eyes feeling heavier and heavier. Two-Bit managed a mock gasp. "I'll have you know that Mickey Mouse is a master piece. Best thing to come out of Disney." He defended, enfatically. You snorted, rolling your eyes playfully.
"Alright, you two! Food is served!" Soda called, coming into the room with two hot plates in his hands. You often felt bad when Soda would make you food, knowing that he probably had to prepare food for Darry and Pony. To combat this, you would often stay behind and helped with dinner. "Smells good, man!" Two Bit said.
"Hope this didn't take to long."
"Ya kiddin'? This is nothing compared to what I have cooked up for Darry and Pony once they get back." Soda chuckled. The three of you gathered in front of the tv, Soda disappearing into the kitchen to grab his dinner before returning.
You ate in relative silence, only talking when you had to scold Two Bit for talking with his mouth full. His shenanigans always made you laugh, but he needed to stop. "That was amazing, Soda." You complimented. "Yeah man, you'll make a good wife someday!" Two Bit said, before howling at his own joke. You landed a playful punch on his shoulder, while Soda rolled his eyes.
The food must have made you really sleepy, because soon you were cuddling on the couch with Soda and Two Bit. Once he was sure you were asleep, Two Bit spoke up. "I know you like, (Y/n)."
"What?"
"Don't play dumb, man!"
"Keep it down! You're going to wake them up." Soda scolded, through his own surprise. He hadn't expected it from Two Bit and it made the greaser think if he was so obvious, that even Two-Bit noticed. Soda glanced down at your sleeping form, sighing.
It hadn't been the first time you cuddled like this. The boys and you would do it strictly platonically before, but the feelings seemed inevitable.
For Two Bit and Soda both.
"Answer me." Two Bit demanded. "Alright, yeah, but can you blame me?"
"I ain't said nothing about blame." Two-Bit retorted. "I'm on the same boat, Sodapop. So what are we gonna do?" Two Bit asked, making Sodapop rather confused.
"What do you mean?"
"(Y/n) isn't gonna date the two of us."
"(Y/n) can speak for themselves." You said, your eyes stuck on Two Bit. The two boys screamed, jumping back with Sodapop nearly falling off the couch. A thick blush washed over both of them, Soda ignoring you and Two Bit rubbing his neck awkwardly. "You really have to be quieter if you want me to not know." You sighed, rising up and leaning against the couch behind you.
Truth be told, you found their little conversation adorable.
It made your heart soar to think that they shared even a fraction of your feelings. It made all those nights and days you passed lamenting over something that could never be, feel oh so stupid.
"You mind repeating yourselves, boys?"
Two Bit and Soda exchanged glances, as if to say "You do it."
"I'm waiting."
"Fuck it, its all true." Two Bit confessed, making Soda go wide eyed. "Me and Soda've been feeling like this for a long time. We just didn't know what to do about it." He continued, his eyes screaming at Soda to take over before he said something he was going to regret. "Yeah, (Y/n), we were scared that's all." Soda said simply.
"I understand but you had nothing to be scared off…I like you too." You said and the way that Soda's face lit up was enough to probably make you fall in love all over again. The two looked like they wanted to hug you right then and there. "I didn't expect to like the both of you either." You chuckled.
Two Bit responded by pulling you into that hug. Soda soon joined and you stayed like that for a good minute, before they let you go.
"So, what does this mean for us?"
"It means whatever you want it too. Are you two willing to share?"
"You ain't gotta worry about me, sugar. I'm as generous as they come.’’ Two Bit declared and you had to fight the urge to yet again roll your eyes. Your expectant eyes turned to Soda, who was still trying to process the events of the last minutes. Darry and Pony were going to have a field day, he just knew it. “I don't mind…’’ He said, slowly moving toward the both of you. You welcomed the boy into your arms, beckoning Two-Bit to do the same.
“Does this mean we get to cuddle more?’’
“As much as you want, darlin!’’ Two Bit yelled out, making you and Soda laugh.
The three of you then returned to the couch, resting in each other's arms as the tv played in the background.
As your boyfriends went on and on about different things, you found yourself smiling.
You should fake sleep more often.

Blood and Sand.
(Poly!Lost Boys x GN!Reader)
For the lovely anon really hope you enjoy 💛❤️, all credit for the gifs go to the owner 🙂
Tumblr media
Now see, you weren't a violent person.
Far from it.
You just believed in the simple philosophy that people got what they deserved.
And now, watching that wretch getting ripped apart, you couldn't help but smile.
Wren screamed as David's fangs plunged into his neck, while Marko was too busy twisting his limbs. Paul dealt with his friends, while Dwayne feasted on an already deceased party goer.
The sand was soaked with the crimson liquid, as Wren was thrown about between the boys. They were angry, you could feel it.
Now, you may be wondering, how exactly you got here, watching your firstly assumed as normal boyfriend, ripp a man to literal shreds.
It's quite the story.
You first noticed the boy when you would come to the boardwalk.
He was cute, in that surfer kind of way. His looks didn't make up for his down-right boorish behavior, though. As Paul would tell you, Wren had a reputation for trying to mess with any lover the boys might have had.
It would seem that you were no exception.
He walked up to you, all smiles and lust filled eyes. He couldn't have picked a better moment, where you were alone and searching to meet with your boys. "Hello there, gorgeous." He said, his accent laid thick.
You almost found it conical.
You greeted him with a silent tilt of the head. "Oh come on, baby. Don't give me that. You're too gorgeous to keep quiet." He said, leaning closer. You took a step back. "I don't suppose you know who I'm with." You said. Any one with half a mind would back off right then and there, as most of the boardwalk knew that you were dating the boys.
Either they feared David or didn't want to get their asses handed to them by Marko. Wren, however, seemed undeterred.
"They don't have to know, baby. I'm Wren and I promise, I'm way more fun." Wren insisted, his hand moving atop of yours. You had to stop the shiver of disgust that went up your spine.
You couldn't shake the slight fear you felt, either. Wren, besides his flirting, was known to get violent at anyone who denied him.
"Listen, buddy, I think it's best we part ways." You said, turning your heel and ready to take your leave.
The smack to your bottom made you stop dead in your tracks. It echoed slightly, your ears catching the sound of Wren's laughter. Right when you were about to take care of him yourself, Marko came running toward you. He looked positively livid.
His fist connected with Wren's jaw, sending the surfer into the booth. "Who the fuck do you think you are? Don't you know they're fucking taken?" Marko yelled, kicking the surfer in the stomach.
Under normal circumstances, you would have either let Marko be or join in, but with Big Ed being so keen on kicking you out, you decided to pull him from it. "Marko, babe, we have to go. He isn't worth it." You said. "Hell no, he's gotta pay-!" Marko began, only for you to shoot him a pleading look. He looked down to Wren, who was too busy clutching his stomach.
"This isn't over."
"I'm counting on it and take your bitch while you're at it." Wren sethed through gritted teeth. You barely stopped Marko from jumping him again.
"Shit…you ok, baby?" Marko asked, finally having cooled off a bit. You nodded. "Yeah…just a little spooked I guess." You expressed through a sigh. Marko pulled you close, placing kisses all over your face. He never failed to get you to smile. "Don't worry, we won't let him get away with that shit." He said. "I don't want any of you to get hurt."
"Trust me, babe, we're the last thing you have to worry about."
And you believed him.
You and Marko met up with the rest at the beach, you choosing to occupy yourself with Laddie and Star, who were really keen on learning how to play good volleyball.
Marko watched you from the sidelines, his brow furrowed. Paul nudged his friend, his face sporting that signature grin of his. " You're awfully quiet there, bud. You gonna spill or what?" He asked, earning the attention of both Dwayne and David. David raised his brow at Marko, who only met his eye for a second before turning to the sand below his boot.
"Well?"
"Some surfer decided to mess with our (Y/n)." Marko announced. The air shifted dangerously. "What?" Dwayne inquired, his tone demanding. David's jaw clenched and his fists balled up.
On the one time they left you alone, some idiot came swooping in. David knew what they had to do. Marko relaid the smacking and name calling as well and he swore he had never seen any of his brothers so ready to kill. Paul's eyes even shifted color for a moment, before David raised his hand.
"We have to be careful with how we go about this…they still don't know." He said. It was true. By this point in your relationship, you had no clue about their real nature. David had debated long and hard whether it should be kept that way or not.
On one hand, he knew the risk of you not accepting them but on the other, they could be with you forever.
And David didn't offer forever to just anyone.
"Marko?"
"Yeah?"
"What does this guy look like?"
The game had taken a turn for the boring, Star and Laddie laying down on the sand exhausted.
"Enough for one night?" You asked, smiling. Laddie nodded, his head landing on your lap. "Yeah, volleyball is hard." He expressed, making both you and Star giggle. "You alright there, (Y/n)?" Star asked suddenly. "Yeah…just a little tired I guess. Why do you ask?"
"You seem a bit out of it. Did something happen?"
"No, no. I just-" you trailed off, your (e/c) eyes catching four shadows going to the south end of the bitch. That was Surf Nazi terf. "I have to go. Think you can stay alone for a while?" Laddie gave you an enthusiastic yeah, while Star told you to be careful.
You looked toward the south, heart in your throat as you began to follow the shadows.
And here you were, nestled between the dunes, watching your boyfriends in action.
Their faces were lion-like, their eyes a blazing yellow.
Even through the gore and fright, you thought that they never looked so beautiful.
All of this, just for you.
"What the h-hell a-are you?" Wren asked, each syllable shaking with fear. His words cut off through the blood that was pooling in his mouth. David chuckled, crouching down to his level. He ran a hand through Wren's hair, the gesture comforting at first. David's grip turned vice, pulling the dying surfer toward him as he howled in pain.
"Buddy, we're your worst nightmare."
The other's seconded David's words with loud, boisterous laughter.
"You see, I don't appreciate that you can't keep your hands to yourself, especially on someone who clearly belongs to me." David said. There was an evil quality to the giddiness of his voice, something that sounded so sweet In your ears.
"So this is me teaching you a…permanent lesson."
David let go of Wren's hair, the latter too weak to keep it from hitting the sand. David stepped back, as he raised his hand. "Boys, you know what to do." He ordered, hand dropping to his side.
A chorus of howls followed, as noises of bone snapping and flesh ripping danced with the crashing waves.
As the boys feasted and David watched, you took your chance and rose from the dunes.
It was a sight for the ages, the one before you.
Your barefoot feet carried you quietly, as your eyes basqued in it all. David turned, his senses probably alerting him of an audience. Even he couldn't hide the shock on his face. "Kitten-" he attempted, only for you to shush him softly. "Its ok…" you assured. By the way your voice sounded and the interest in your eye, David knew he didn't have to speak.
He pulled you close.
While it was odd to see him with that face, you couldn't help but place your hands at either side of his head. "You look beautiful." You said. Did you really say that out loud?"
David smirked. "You are one strange human, kitten. See that…that's all for you." He said, motioning toward the boys finally finishing up their meal. Dwayne noticed you second, his posture practically turning to stone. You chuckled, as both Marko and Paul began to stalk toward you.
"Babe, we can explain…"
" No need to Paul…our kitten here seems to be enjoying themselves just fine." David observed, his voice amused. Paul and Marko looked at you, their faces spreading into wide grins. Their faces had switched back to normal at that point. You gave all of them a run over.
"You got blood all over your clothes."
"That's what you're concerned about?"
You shrugged. "It's a bitch to clean up." That made you all laugh, while you decided to ask the big question. As you looked down at the corpse of what was formally Wren, you gently asked , "So what are you?"
Marko buried his face in your hair, as Paul decided to rest himself on your front. Dwayne was by you in a moment, your hands intertwined together. "We're vampires, baby." Paul mumbled, his face enjoying your chest.
"As in, burning in the sun , garlic hating blood suckers?"
"Garlic don't work babe."
You hummed softly.
"You aren't mad?" Dwayne piped up. He and you were always quiet in your communication, your eyes doing most of the talking. While the others didn't show it, you knew they needed an answer. "No…I'm just surprised, that's all. And…" you looked at the mess they had left, "...a tad grossed out." You expressed. Dwayne chuckled softly.
"We can count on you to stay?"
"You aren't getting rid of me that easy, Dwayne." You countered.
The moon had long reached its zenith, beginning it's voyage to the other side of the world. The sky was becoming lighter and lighter by the second. "I think it's time to head back?" You said, giving David a look. He nodded, "Dawn's approaching, come on boys, we have to ride." He ordered. Paul and Marko reluctantly let you go, stealing kisses and pecks in between.
You and Dwayne walked together, his arms slung over your small frame. All that discovery had made you quite tired.
You and David shared a look.
One that was so filled with love that you thought you might burst.
The ride back was uneventful and silent, the sand jumping up with each passing bike. David stared at you as you and Dwayne rode together. Tonight was all the proof he needed.
You were worth forever…
…and he was more than ready to give it to you.

Everything is so beautiful because we are doomed...
(Star x Female! Reader)
Summary: Star meets a mysterious woman on the beach. A woman that may very well change her mind about becoming a vampire.
A/N: I used a quote from Homer's "The Illiad" and the movie "Troy", I just thought it went well with the whole immortal vampire buisness 🤣. Let me know what you think and I hope you shall enjoy this.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Star walked aimlessly, her eyes dancing across her surroundings. The boardwalk was nothing short of booming, laughter carrying the night on it's bright and alive wings. Even with all these fun things around her, Star found herself bored. David and his boys were nowhere to be found, probably somewhere feeding, but Star was thankful for the alone time. Her feet carried her to the edge of the boardwalk, where the wood met the sand. She sighed happily as the cool sand graced her feet.
As her dark eyes settled in the darkness of the beach, she realized that someone was there with her. She laid on a white blanket, eyes held high as she gazed at the twinkling stars. At first you would think that this woman was insane. Wasn't she aware of what could happen to a woman that was all alone? And yet Star felt an undeniable pull toward her. She cast one last glace at the boardwalk, making sure that David wasn't around. He would only further ruin her mood. Once Star turned her gaze back to the woman, she was staring at her with a smile. "Oh! Im-Im sorry! I didn't mean-!"
Star was cut off by a chuckle and a wave of calmness enveloped her. "Don't worry about it...I could use the company honestly." The woman responded. She looked pale, too pale for a place like Santa Carla, and for a brief moment, Star wondered if she was like the others. The very thought of it made her uneasy. The woman tapped the spot next to her, as if to tell Star that she was welcome to sit. With slight hesitation in her steps, Star sat down next to the woman.
The darkness made her features a mystery, her pale complexion becoming a sort of beacon to the young Star. The woman smiled, before she plopped her head down to the blanket. It was then that Star realized her hair was rather long. "So...what brings a girl like you to the beach so late?" The woman asked. Her voice was... elegant to say the very least. She sounded older, yet her smooth skin betrayed any indication of her being any older than Star, or maybe even David. "I could ask you the same thing." Star answered cautiously, her voice coming out more alert then she wanted it to. The woman smiled.
Her eyes darted back to the sky lights, one twinkling from time to time. The music from the boardwalk quickly became white noise behind them, the oceans singing to them instead. "I like to come out here when the sky is clear…" The woman confessed, voice flowing into an almost dreamy timbre. "...it becomes so majestic like this." She then said. Star looked up, wanting to see for herself. The sky was indeed majestic, the evening black splattered among the various shades of white and blue. A small smile graced her lips, and a content sigh left Star's lips. Her muscles relaxed, and soon, she was laying down next to the mystery woman.
"All this serious talk and I still don't know your name." Star heard the stranger laugh. "Star. My name is Star." She responded, dark eyes sliding over to the woman. A giant grin made its way to her face. "What are the odds? I'm looking at the stars, talking to a Star." She giggled, and that giggle made goosebumps rise on Star's skin.
What was going on with her?
"It's lovely to meet you Star, I'm (Y/N) but please call me (N/N)." The woman introduced, outstretching her hand. Star took it quickly and to her surprise, (Y/N) didn't feel cold to the touch. Her skin felt warm, and for a split second, Star didn't want to let go. "You've been here before?" Star questioned, taking her hand back and laying down next to (Y/n). Her eyes switched between the sky and her, finding it difficult to settle on one radiant thing. "I come and I go you could say...I mostly come to Santa Carla for the night life." (Y/N) expressed. "People here make me feel so alive."
"Me too... sometimes I don't want it to end." Star said. It was her own way of saying that she didn't want to die. The very logic of it made Star afraid. (Y/N) chuckled at her words. "But maybe that's what makes it so exciting, Star. The fact that it does end, and transforms into nothing but a memory." (Y/N) offered, making Star grow confused. "Heh, it's difficult to think about, I know but...you know what makes people like you so beautiful, Star?" (Y/N) requested, her dark irises never leaving the blanket of black above them. Star snorted, "What do you mean people like me?"
"I've seen you before, Star...at the boardwalk." (Y/N) confessed. It didn't sound creepy, mostly because Star didn't see it as such. "You dance in such a way that would make any old soul jealous, and even with all the bad things that keep happening in this town, I still find it so amazing how alive it is. You will never be as lovely as you are now...you will never be here again." She continued, oblivious to the transfixed way Star was looking at her.
The girl looked down right bewitched.
"Humans cherish everything because we all share the same fate…"
(Y/N) didn't need to finish her sentence for Star to know what she was going to say. "Everything is just so much more beautiful because we are doomed." (Y/N) concluded, a stiff but not uncomfortable silence coming between them. How was it possible to feel so familiar with someone you have just met?
"I'm sorry, I'm rambling." (Y/N) apologized, looking away from Star in embarrassment. Star shot up, taking (Y/n)'s hand into her own. "No, no…that was…that was one of the most beautiful things I have ever heard." Star expressed, a goofy grin making its way to her face. "Where did you learn to talk like that?" Star asked through a laugh. (Y/N) smiled, but before she could answer Star, a voice yelled out.
"Star!"
Star's face fell, and her hand subconsciously squeezed (Y/n)'s. "A friend of yours?" (Y/n) quirked a brow, her smile never relenting. "You could say that…"
"Star!"
"I have to go...but I can see you again?" Star inquired, taking both of (Y/n)'s hands, looking at the girl hopefully. "We shall see. It was lovely meeting you Star…" (Y/n) said, before taking one of her hands back. (Y/n) stood up, taking Star with her. "Will I ever see you again?" Star inquired, hopefulness dripping from her every word. The woman smiled, and with a soft sigh sigh, she said-
"We shall see. If anything, you know where to look." She teased, making Star grin. The roar of motorcycles caught both their attention. (Y/n) gazed at the entrance to the beach, where she was greeted by four boys and their bikes. The blonde at the head paid her close attention. "I guess your friends are waiting, you want me to walk you?" (Y/n) asked, eyes widening slightly when Star rebuffed her almost immediately. "I can walk over by myself…it was good to meet you, (Y/n) and...I hope I get to see you again." Star expressed.
(Y/n) smiled.
"I hope to see you too. Have a nice night, Star." She responded, before taking her blanket into her hands and heading deeper into the beach. Star watched as she disappeared, before she too, headed toward David. He threw her a look.
"Sorry. Lost track of time."
"Who's your friend?"
Star dreaded having to tell him, trying to think of something to say. She knew she couldn't lie to David, and maybe what she was about to say wasn't a complete lie. She took a breath,
"To be honest, I'm not sure." Star answered, revealing when David didn't push her further. He revved up his engine, and they rode into the night.
Even as Star laid in her bed, (Y/n)'s words echoed in her head. "Everything is just so much more beautiful because you are doomed…" She had said, and those words alone made Star's heart skip a beat. How could an ordinary human think of life the way she did? How could she see such beauty in something that Star only saw fear and heartache in? The fleetingness of life wasn't something to be celebrated...right?
"You will never be as lovely as you are now…"
The girl fell asleep to those words, words cradling her into visions of beauty and fatality…a truth so human, that Star didn't want to let it go.
And she wasn't going to.
Not anymore.
